Drake is clearly still in mourning over his latest breakup with Rihanna. As you can see, the poor guy is walking around in his Bridget Jones pajamas as he heads out to dinner alone, night after night. He’s probably meeting friends for meals, don’t you think? The paparazzi are capturing the image of a lonely Drake, who misses his lady love.

Maybe this image is intentional on Drake’s part, but I don’t know if Rihanna’s paying any attention. She supposedly never saw the fling as serious, and RiRi’s stayed very busy since the split. She’s been spotted at many basketball games with her BFF/assistant, Melissa Forde. They ran into each other on Monday night at an event, but RiRi avoided Drake. Rihanna enjoys not being tied down in a relationship, but Radar says Drake is pining away:

“She gave him his marching orders and he’s destroyed,” a source said.

But the “Over” singer is finding it hard get over the beautiful Bajan according to the source, and would get back together with her in a heartbeat, despite having gotten the brush-off.

“Drake was ready to walk away for good after Rihanna dropped him, but she has this power over him,” the source noted. “All she needs to do is snap her fingers and he’ll go running back to her.”

Fellow musicians Drake, 27, and Rihanna, 26, have had an on-again, off-again dating history and in June 2012, the rapper and Chris Brown, 25, the boyfriend notorious for beating her up, allegedly got into a physical fight over the beauty.

The on-off pair rekindled their relationship earlier this year with the “Diamonds” star being spotted with him in Paris in February and in London in March. But Drake was noticeably absent from Rihanna’s May post-Met Gala party and it was then reported she’d split up with him.

Now, the source said, “Drake is convinced that Rihanna has self-esteem issues and is pushing him away because she doesn’t believe in or trust true love, which isn’t surprising after the crazy stuff that happened with her and Chris.

“All of Drake’s crew wish he’d forget about her and move on but he’s hooked — no matter how upset, hurt and angry he is with her right now.”

If Drake really does believe that Rihanna has issues with trusting enough to love, he’s probably correct. She went through hell with Chris Brown — who got out of jail yesterday — and I think she’s still got lots of issues from her time with him. God, I hope Rihanna isn’t still in contact with Chris. Nothing good can come of that mess.

Drake needs to cut his losses (at least for the moment) and move onto more welcoming pastures. Such as Nicki Minaj, perhaps? Don’t laugh. Nicki’s toned down her technicolor nightmare style lately. She also recently revealed to I-D mag that she has it bad for Drake: “One day I will run away with Drake and get married, but right now it’s just a fantasy.” She wants him.
