These photos of a newly blonde Giuliana Rancic were posted by E! and by Giuliana’s colorist to Instagram last week, but the press is just picking them up now. Giuliana went from a honey brunette bob to a shade of blonde that does not suit her, in my opinion. The whole process took about six hours, according to Giuliana. Here’s what she looked like before. This is from June:
So six hours at the salon and all she got was this yellow-blonde color? I can see the highlights in there, but they’re too blonde and the color looks flat. When I went from a red-blonde to blonde this spring it took three hours, but that was with a single process and two steps of highlights. If I had a darker color to start it may have taken longer to strip and then fill the color. Still, I like to think my color looks more natural than this.
Here’s Giuliana again last month (below) with her lighter, but not as drastic color. This was somewhat prettier than the brassy blonde.
And here she is in May with brown hair. I think she looks best with this color.
Not everyone is meant to go blonde, but maybe she’ll go back to a darker color at some point. Not that I care too much about how Giuliana does her hair, or whatever she’s trying to get attention for this month. Do you think her hairstylist gives her discounts in exchange for the publicity? I do.
Also I’ll say something nice. This is a pic Bill posted of their super cute son, Edward Duke, who turns two in September. He’s a blondie, and I bet he was the inspiration for Giuliana to go blonde.

At least this cut is better than the long, gross ombre stuff she was sporting for a long time, but her natural coloring looks a little odd with the blonde.

Spot on, QQ. A fair hair color that is close to the scalp color minimizes the extent of hair loss. But I also can see where she might have chose that color because her gorgeous little boy is blonde.
I think blonde MIGHT look good on her if she made it a much softer, less yellow tone.
I honestly don’t know what hairstyle or color would work best for her. She has a unique face.

I like her darker hair. I kind of recall the first time she did it dark and got a shorter cut it looks so good to me. I can’t put my finger on it but something is different about this cut. Maybe too short.

I think it’s because she is stuck in that brown harsh make-up scheme, especially around the eyes. That needs some serious toning down. Her eyes are big enough and deep set without making them the focus and sunk in deeper with so much darkness.
Totally agree kiddo. I remember she was blonde way back when she first started with E! And when she went brunette it was weird at first but I think the brunette suits her coloring a lot better. I had blonde highlights for a few years and it got to the point where I just said dye it all blonde! Big mistake, I have similar coloring to her and it was a disaster.

You said it Spooky. Once anorexia takes hold, it controls you. Her will bows to the disorder so if there’s an alternative that gets her what she wants (like a baby) she’ll always take it.
Yep. You cam lrobably find the interviews with a simple Google search. Back when they were trying to get pregnant, G talked about how the doctor told her to put on 15lbs, that it would potentially help her get pregnant… and she said she couldn’t do it and talked about it as though the doc told her to sprout a 3rd nipple. She couldn’t understand how people didn’t agree with how ‘traumatizing’ she found the advice, and she’s shut up abojt it ever since. At this point she’s most likely cognizant enough of her eating disorder to hide it.
Yeah, I don’t know her and I’m no doctor, but it seems to me that she has an eating disorder or (not to sound flippant) some kind of wasting disease. Her inability to follow her doctor’s advice to help her attain such a great desire doesn’t get me mad, I wouldn’t want to be trapped in that harmful mindset. The break in her logic sounds like someone operating on impulse drive and when you see pictures of her from ten years ago, you see that she was really cute. Just being on TV, you know? Don’t ask me how I even remember, but some years back she opened a restaurant, or something and in the pictures released of her ‘eating’ the food, she was in the standard anorexic eating position: the fork cannot touch the teeth. My sister has the E! Channel and they have a lot of spots with Leah Miller, who used to be on MuchMusic here in Canada and she has had so, so much done to her face, to its detriment. And it’s the same thing, she used to be really cute. She’s a young woman, under 35, for sure. I wouldn’t be able to handle it.

@Roxy-the woman has always been that skinny and gaining the weight would have helped (sure she was told by a doctor when she getting all those IFV treatments). Now, the timeline of when she had the mastectomy & trying to get pregnant falls, who knows.
Me too. She was so belligerent about not gaining weight, and how Victoria Beckham was able to conceive so many times as thin as she is (which is some kind of wizard magic, if you ask me!), so she should be able to, as well. Ummmm…your personal doctor specifically recommended that you gain a little weight, but you act like he asked you to gain 50 pounds eating hohos and ringdings. To me, her reactions and refusal to gain any weight even though she claimed to want to conceive so badly made it hard for me to sympathize with her. And what a horrible role model she is to young girls!

Not everyone is suited to blonde- as a black haired/green eyed girl, I personally know this for sure! No matter what shade, it’s bad.
I think her receding hairline and thin hair are likely due to malnutrition.
I was wondering if her hairline was receding or if that’s just her natural hairline. I hate to rag on someone’s physical traits (that can’t be changed), but have always found her head/hair intriguing. I thought it was maybe because she styles her hair really flat.

I really liked her until the whole pregnancy weight gain thing, not that it would’ve guaranteed a pregnancy but seems like she didn’t even try, then going back to work so soon after her son was born rubbed me the wrong way. I’m all for women having the choice to work but they went through so much to have him and they only took a few weeks off if even that, they don’t need the money, spend time with the child you so desperately wanted instead of worrying about being on TV. Plus I think they want another one, and I’ve read she seems kind of detached from their son on the show, but I haven’t watched the newer seasons so I don’t know if that’s true. Also don’t care for Bill after he said she lied about being over 30 when they met because she knew he wouldn’t have dated her otherwise, wth?
She had a surrogate, so why wouldn’t she return to her job? As for her seeming detached from her son on a reality show, now I haven’t watched it but maybe they don’t want him featured on the show so that is why you might not see him?
Still, wouldn’t she want to spend time with her new baby?

While earning my degree I worked as a security guard, I used to know a guy who had cancer, who worked in the office. He was very friendly, but he came to work every day even on holidays. He shared with me that he previously recovered from cancer, so me and the other security guards permitted him to walk around the metal detectors for obvious reasons. This guy didn’t have to work on Christmas, but he came anyway. I looked puzzled at his attendance in a fairly empty building. My coworker told me that she’d asked him why he never took a day off. He said that he was scared he’d die alone at home. I asked her if he had family because I remembered him mentioning a wife. She said that he has a wife that lives with him and grown kids that visit during holidays, but he’s still scared of dying alone.
I cannot stand her.

Yes! My aunt had a really brown hair and decided to go light blonde in her late 30’s and it looks amazing. It has a lot to do with the skin tone and eyes color.
I feel sorry for her; she clearly has an eating disorder. She looks like Karen Carpenter on that last special at Christmas. I imagine that her family and friends know that she’s sick; maybe they are trying to help?

I was curious to see what she looked like years ago, so I googled her. Her face used to be a little fuller so I assume she had a little bit more weight on her, but she’s always been very thin. Just not THIS THIN. There were photos of her with blonde hair too, so this isn’t the first time she’s dyed it blonde. Other photos discussing plastic surgery (facial and breast). I suppose that goes with the territory of being a TV celeb. I agree with a lot of posters here though that suggest she doesn’t look very healthy. If I were her, I’d start making an effort to gain at least 10 pounds.

The blonde hair would be okay, if not for her Hollywood, Oompa-Loompa orange spray tans. If she’s going to insist on the spray tans, then the brunette color is far more flattering. I do, however, love the cut and was so glad when she chopped off her too-long, too-fine, stringy long hair.

My parents ignored the elephant in the room and would make me a bowl of mashed potatoes while my parents ate a regular meal. They acted like it was normal and at least I was eating..even though it was far below my caloric intake.

Before the baby, I ran into her blog detailing what she ate over the day. It was very little even for someone her height at her natural activity level, and at the time she was also working out intensely at least four or five hours a day. If she’s still doing that, she can eat reasonable amounts of food in front of her husband but still be undereating for the weight her body needs to carry. She probably is not losing weight but rather is maintaining a weight which is too low for her.
Please. Eat a sandwich. What will she look like in her 60’s after all the starving? Have you ever googled her diet cleanse of cayenne pepper and lemon water? It’s extreme. I would love to see her at least 15 more pounds. Great smile. But bad body image she’s portraying.

Does not suit her skin/eye colour…it washes her out and makes her skin look sallow. Continually baffles me why someone would not only dye their hair a colour that does not enhance them, but actually makes them look worse.
Nothing against blonde or brown or black or grey or red…or blue or purple…or any other colour out there…but pick one that looks good with your eyes and skin tone.
