Julia’s always been like that. Men loved her for playing a hooker, then they gave her an Oscar for looking like a hooker in the so-so Erin Brokovich. But in reality she’s famous for iron clad clauses where she won’t show anything but her back. Personally, I think it’s empowering that one of Hollywood’s leading ladies is trying to do her craft well and be a good role model. For trash, we’ll alwasy have Slutney Spears vag shots.

Oh shut up Daily Fail. I don’t see how Julia “backhanded” Kate by saying she didn’t do nudity. Also isn’t mum a British word?

She answered a question on her own behalf never mentioning another individual or group of individuals once.
I’ve never been a huge fan, but I applaud her for honoring a personal choice and not bowing to her industry or what society might think.
Also, why is ‘not attending’ considered “snubbing”? If she wasn’t nominated for anything, why should she feel obligated to attend? Maybe I missed something, did she release a statement saying that she was above petty awards ceremonies? Because then I would say she snubbed the Oscars– but if she simply chose to watch with her family while at home, leave the woman alone.

I love Julia Roberts. She’s always shown a class that’s lacking in most celebrities today. And she has her priorities straight and doesn’t let fame interfere with them.

whatisever, I think (and I might be wrong on this) that Julia was asked to present something at the Oscars, which is why they’re saying she “snubbed” the show. It’s a silly thing to say, of course, but mags will create controversy out of anything!
I’ve never been a fan of hers, and while I think it’s admirable on the one hand that she won’t do nudity, on the other hand, it really does show what kind of entertainer she is. She’s called herself an “artist” in past interviews, but then she militantly limits the types of roles she’ll play and what kind of dedication she’ll bring to them. I reserve the term “artist” for someone like Kate Winslet, who loses herself completely in a character. Julia’s fun to watch, and she’s certainly made her mark as a film star, but she isn’t much of an actor.

Whatever, who wants to see lizard-lips in a sex scene anyways? Talk about a turnoff.

She was never great in the sex scenes and I bet she isnt that great in them at home either.She acts prudish.Sher is an OK actor and has made some good movies but I dont see her as any kind of sex goddes that is for sure

Roberts has always used a body double for skin shots, so why she’s saying she won’t now that she’s a mom is totally irrelevant.

Ug. One of the worst actresses around. She always plays herself. Just phoning it in. I don’t care if she does a sex scene or not. I doubt most people care.

Yes, because mothers aren’t sexual creatures. The point of acting is to be truthful to the story of your character, not to refuse part of the character’s life. Give the part to someone who can actually do it as it’s written. Secondly, she never played sex scenes anyway so this is nothing new.
