I have to give it to Alexa Chung – this might be one of her strongest editorials ever. Usually, I’m so meh on Alexa. I don’t understand why she’s a thing, especially in the UK, which is where so many people seem to worship her style and “look.” Harper’s Bazaar UK put Alexa on their July cover and they just released these photos. Unfortunately, they did not release anything from the interview. Too bad. Because I’d like to know if Alexa is going to publicly lay claim to Alexander Skarsgard. We first heard rumors about Alexa and Alex back in February of this year. It seemed, from the gossip and fan-sightings, to be a newish thing. Then there were more sightings of them at Paris Fashion Week in March. And then… nothing. But Us Weekly says they are still happening!
New couple alert! True Blood fans may be disappointed to learn that vampire hunk Alexander Skarsgard is officially off the market. The sexy Swedish actor, 38, is dating British model and TV personality Alexa Chung, Us Weekly exclusively reveals.
“It is serious and has really heated up,” a source tells Us of the new couple. Another source adds, “It’s a fun relationship for both of them. She’s just about as busy as he is and it’s not really feasible [for them] to become a more committed couple, but the hang outs are great.”
The pair were spotted on a romantic date in Brooklyn, N.Y.’s Prospect Park and Botanical Gardens on Friday, May 29. They got cozy together under a tree and took photos of one another around the grounds.
Chung, 31, shared a shot of herself taken by Skarsgard on her Instagram account, writing, “O rose, thou are sick!”
Skarsgard previously dated actress Kate Bosworth from 2009 to 2011, and Chung was in a four-year relationship with Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner until July 2011.

Sure, it could happen. I think he was single and ready to mingle for a while, and there were stories about Alex with various ladies for months, but then Alexa came into the picture and suddenly there weren’t any stories about Alex making out with that lady or this lady. Here’s the weird thing: Alex Skarsgard has the same taste in girlfriends as Chris Martin. If Alexa and Alex ever break up, will Alex go for Gwyneth Paltrow? Yikes at the thought of that.

I always thought she was more cute than pretty, but then I saw a bit of that makeup tutorial on youtube someone here mentioned a while back, and OMG, she looked stunning, even before the makeup. Her eyes are gorgeous.

Alex has a thing for dating emaciated looking women with a side of famewhore. It’s disturbing. He’s a tall guy who enjoys eating and working out but only wants to date women who are starving themselves. I don’t get it.
Thats kind of the average body type in Sweden…I just got back from Stockholm last week and not only was everyone massively stylish and gorgeous but they were all mostly tall and thin…shopping trips made me stabby there because nothing fit these size 10 curves the way American clothes would.
(Scandinavian style is very understated anyway…black, white, and grey…and nike free trainers.)
Anyway, Alexa Chung isn’t emaciated by any means by Northern European standards.

You should probably google her. She’s lost tons of weight and seems to survive on coffee and cigarettes. There’s a difference between being naturally slender and what Alexa/Kate are. It’s sad that he seems to prefer women to look like that.

Unfortunately there have been fan photos of the 2 of them together over the past few months so as heartbreaking as it was, I could no longer deny they are, in fact, an item. I’m not a ‘stan’, I just don’t understand the hate for her at all. What has she done that’s so horrible? Murdered babies? Tortured kittens? Ran over your Grandma, what? You really do seem bent out of shape over a person that to the best of my knowledge has no impact on your life. You can just not click on her articles or look at her picture if you find her so awful and offensive.
And the Chris Martin stuff, well GOOPY herself said that they were split up at least a year before they went public with their split, so if CM and AC did have a fling in that time period, there’s no law against that.

As for how thin she is, well I personally don’t like to comment on that because it is none of my business and she doesn’t look as if she is on deaths door to me.

I just think other models photograph like giants. I assume Alexa Chung must be tall too or certainly above the average, but her height doesn’t seem to translate in that larger than life way (at least not in this editorial) in the manner that some models seem able to channel in photographs.
