LeAnn Rimes: ‘I take like 20 pills in the morning and 20 at night’

Here are some assorted photos of LeAnn Rimes from the past few weeks – a combo of Instagram photos and some pics of LeAnn and Eddie out to dinner two weekends ago. I just haven’t been talking about LeAnn so much lately because it just felt like the same-old, same-old. LeAnn is also supposed to make a “big announcement” today, which some people believe will be a pregnancy announcement, but my guess is that she’ll be announcing some music project, album or half-baked tour. I will update if and when she makes the big announcement.

LeAnn gave a new interview to Into The Gloss – you can read the full piece here. LeAnn chats about the paparazzi, her psoriasis, and more. Some of the interview is just a list of what products LeAnn uses on her face and skin, which I don’t really care about. Some highlights:

The paparazzi & fashion: “I try not to let the paparazzi affect what I do or wear, but sometimes they do. I think, as women, we’re constantly judged on everything we do and say and wear. I would be lying if I said I didn’t think about it, but at the same time there’s moments when I just don’t care. Of course, those are the times they catch me and say ‘Look at LeAnn! She looks so frumpy.’ Well, of course I do. I just rolled out of bed and am basically in my pajamas! I have to have those days, though. It’s just too intense not to.”

She’s on Humira: “I’ve had really bad psoriasis since I was 2. You’d never know it now, but I’ve been dealing with it a long time. I had to wear a lot of long pants or jeans and two or three pairs of pantyhose in the summertime. It was a nightmare. I started taking a biologic drug. I take a shot every two weeks, and I hate needles, but that’s what I had to do to get my skin clear. I went through every type of treatment known to man. Now, I’m on Humira—it was a shot in the dark, and thank God it worked. I do break out every so often, but I have topical stuff that I put on for that.

The bikini liberation: “When I was younger, I always wanted to hide it and never wanted to talk about it. My doctors told me I’d be surprised at how many celebrities have it and don’t want to talk about it. When they say beauty is way more than skin deep, it’s hard for people who have psoriasis to wrap their minds around that. Some people even think it’s contagious and want to stay away. I’ve had it under control for about 10 years, so it’s been this liberating thing for me to be able to wear shorts and a bikini. People make so much fun of me and my bikinis, but I would walk around naked if I could because I was one big scab at one point!

She spray tans: “I’m a white girl—seriously, so white—so I spray tan. James Read has this Tan Accelerator that smells like cinnamon. It’s so good. My assistant, Kiki, and I love to spray tan so much, so we finally bought a machine and started to spray each other. The machine is like $500, so we save so much money. We do it once or twice a week. It’s like a car wash.

She has extensions: “My hair usually gets washed every three or four days because I have extensions, which I love. The great thing about extensions is that I don’t have to think about doing too much to it. After I wash it, I braid it and let it air dry. I love dry shampoo—the Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo is my favorite thing ever. I actually set off an airplane fire alarm once because of it. It was pretty funny.”

Pills: “I’m a big vitamin person. I take like 20 pills in the morning and 20 at night—fish oil, prenatal vitamins, probiotics, biotin…I have an herbalist I work with who has put me on a bunch of different things. I’m very strict about making sure I take them.

[From Into the Gloss]

I honestly think she sounded fine or fine-ish here. Not crazy or anything, although there were a few product name-drops where I was thinking, “Huh, I wonder if Brandi Glanville used those products first?” If LeAnn wants to spray tan at home, God bless. If she wants to take Humira or whatever, fine. The only thing I side-eye a little is the “40 pills” thing. There are a lot of concerns out there that taking an excess amount of vitamins is, at best, doing nothing and at worst, possibly damaging your health. I also wonder if some of those pills are laxatives in LeAnn’s case.

There is a rumour going around that she is going to write a book about step-parenting….

    • Tate says:

Why did that make me laugh so hard???

    • SleepyJane says:

Now that’s rich. You’d think she’d have run out of space for nails in her career-coffin by now.

    • funcakes says:

It couldn’t be about stepparenting because the other day someone mistook her for Eddie’s daughter and the boy’s sister. Pigtail make her look sixteen y’all.

      • funcakes says:

The other night someone mistook LeAnn for masons and Jake’s sister. Of course.all of Twitter erupted with laughter.
She said her pigtails make her look sixteen.

      • Kat says:

She looks young for her age. It’s a great compliment

    • Jen says:

Heh, it was the announcement of her Christmas album/tour. 10 dates. *side eye*

  2. Pinky says:

    Who asked? Who cares?

  3. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Wow, what a snooze. When she’s not bringing the crazy, she’s really just a big hypochondriac.

    • Christin says:

I am surrounded by hypochondriacs IRL, yet I read this post.

And you summed her up well. It’s bragging, sickness and product pitches at this point.

    • Ava-L says:

Hypochondriac? She has psoriasis, which is a terrible thing to have and is difficult to live with. I have lupus, and once the byotches I work with called me a hypochondriac. It was so very upsetting to me, to be battling a disease (trying hard to do it using natural and alternative remedies) that has a big impact on me and my loved ones, and have some ignorant, uniformed women call me a hypochondriac.

      • Rachel says:

Ava-L, I’m so sorry you have Lupus. Autoimmune diseases are often invisible diseases and people really have no idea how terrible they are. Having your body attack itself if f***ing scary. I have Sjogrens Syndrome and I have to be careful about being in the sun, eating certain foods, or stressing myself out because it will put me into a flare. I’m also 40 times more likely to develop lymphoma. I have to worry about losing my teeth and getting ulcers on my eyes because of the damage being done to my moisture producing glands. Then there is primary biliary cirrhosis and all of the other damage that can happen to my internal organs. And the medications are so dangerous…I treat my AI disease with alternative medicine and a special diet. I wasn’t ready to risk losing my eyesight to plaquenil or take methotrexate! There is so little known about AI diseases and they basically use the same medications for all of them.

I also have Charcot-Marie-Tooth Type 2. I was diagnosed with both diseases last year after switching doctors because my former GP told me I was a hypochondriac. Well, actually he said I was severely depressed and needed psychiatric help. I get that I look fine, but I knew something was wrong. It was terrible being treated that way by a “medical professional.”

      • Ava-L says:

Rachel, OMG! My doctor ALSO told me it was all in my mind when I first started having serious symptoms. She honestly thought that because my vitamin levels were good and I didn’t have diabetes that there was “nothing medically wrong” with me, despite my debilitating symptoms and repeatedly insisting something was not right with me . She (yes it was a woman!) kept trying to put me on a flipping anti-depressant! I ended up paying out-of-pocket to see couple of specialists to get a correct diagnosis. As terrible as it sounds, I can’t help but wishing this disease on that doctor and those women in my workplace. Let them live with the pain and constant struggle to stay healthy, and I hope people in their lives call THEM hypochondriacs. Whew! That was like therapy. Ok I don’t really wish this disease on anyone.

  4. MonicaQ says:

How many pills do you need in a day? Jaysus.

    • Erinn says:

      Right? That can’t be healthy.

Not only that, but a lot of vitamins can interact with other drugs. Actually, vitamin e, zinc , echinacea all have minor reactions, hydrocortisone can have a major one, aspirin and niacin can have moderate ones… if she’s taking 40 pills a day, God knows what she’s taking.

    • Cate says:

The thing is, the body can only absorb so much vitamins, the rest gets flushed right out of your system and into the toilet. People who take all these vitamins and homeopathic nonsense are really just flushing money down the drain it is so dumb.

      • FLORC says:

        Exactly!
If she was really big into vitamins for health she might know pills are the worst delivery system. Eating foods that gold those vitamins and taking liquid vitamins are the best imo.
And people need to remember. Vitamins are supplements for diets that lack proper nutrition.

Also, when I was taking about a dozen vitamins and supplements for race training I was sick every morning. Even after eating a full breakfast and waiting about 20 minutes later it would all come up. If what she says is true I’d imagine she’s going about the same.
And yea. Hasn’t it been established she thinks she’s ill all the time and a cough becomes something awful in her mind?

      • Christin says:

Anyone who has watched her antics through the years has observed a pattern, which has nothing to do with a disease. There is a pattern of injuries, colds, whatever, that impact work but not vacation plans. That’s why some may be giving her a side eye here, I think.

      • Christin says:

@FLORC – A classic example is her hangnail ‘surgery’. She posted a photo of a lightly bandaged finger, in a clinic, and claimed she’d had ‘surgery’ for a hangnail.

        Just one example of many.

      • FLORC says:

        Christin
Some hangnails do need procedures. I remember seeing hers and thought it was nothing. And to post… She wants the attention. Part of the whole syndrome. They can’t be “sick” and keep it to themselves. They need sympathy and attention.

  5. Lbliss says:

Prenatal vitamins? Guess she’s pregnant! Congrats!

    • Jess says:

A lot of women take that while not pregnant, hopefully that’s the case here.

    • illandri says:

Nope… she’s already said on Twitter today that she is NOT pregnant.

    • Why? says:

2 weeks ago she, Leann was bragging about how Kiki introduced her to Tequilla Avion.

    • FLORC says:

Many women take them for better hair and nails. Or just because it is a good source of the vital nutrients many women need without the extras that can disturb digestion.

Though, saying prenatal is trolling us I think.

  6. Bonnie says:

Laxatives, Clonopin, Xanax, Paxil……whatever the pills are she needs more. She still 50 shades of cray

  7. MrsB says:

It’s kind of funny how she talks about psoriasis. Like it is some life altering illness. As someone who has had an autoimmune disease for 15 years that has required 4 surgeries and too many hospitalizations to count, I would gladly trade her for psoriasis.

    • Sam says:

Um, dude, that’s sort of sort-sighted. Psoriasis varies widely. My case is quite mild but a lot of cases are insane. Seriously, google it. If the scales show up on your joints and are bad enough, they can seriously impair your mobility and have other side effects. One of the other patients where I used to go had scaling so bad, they would actually catch on her clothes and create tears in them. She also had serious issues moving a lot of days and had to routinely soak herself to soften them enough to rip them off.

It’s also an incredibly ostracizing condition. People tend to think you have leprosy or something when they see serious patches. I’ve had people decline to touch me, and I know lots of other who have as well (mostly because I used to get the patches on my face). My scalp also had a ton of issues and getting haircuts can be a major issue since a lot of hairdressers didn’t know what it is and some of them will treat you differently.

Oh, and also, you’re missing the greatest joy it brings with it – psoriatic arthritis. I’m in the beginning stages now and my left knee is pretty advanced. It impairs my ability to do a lot of stuff I used to enjoy. My hands are starting to progress with it as well. I’m fully aware that it’s going to cause me a lot of issues.

So please save the “my sickness is worse than your’s.” If you haven’t lived it, don’t try it.

      • KDP says:

I’m so sorry to hear Sam! My husband has psoriatic arthritis as well. It took us ages to figure out what he suffered from. It was quite tricky to find out as it started really slowly. In the beginning only the wrist was hurting and very swollen. He went to a doctor who told him that the pain is due to working too much (he’s a graphic designer), suggested to go see a physical therapist. Did not help at all. Then back dorsal and blade bones started hurting, knee came next. My husband was in a lot of pain, could not move properly anymore. The orthopedist suggested working less (really funny when self-employed). When the fingers started hurting as well we hit rock bottom. A year went by, going to physical therapy for a few months and taking a lot of pain killers (would decrease the swellings according to the orthopedist). We started googling and figured out that it could be psoriatic arthritis. So my husband went to a rheumatologist and told him about his suspicion. Doctor said it could quite certainly be psoriatic arthritis. He ran a few test and to be a 100% sure he sent hubbie to a dermatologist. There, they discovered very subtle psoriasis, which causes the arthritis. We were very relieved when finding out, even tough it meant that my husband has to take pills for the next few years (in the best case), possible for all his life. After a few months he felt back to normal. Now, he takes two pills in the morning and two in the evening (active substance is called Sulfasalazine). We are so happy, enjoying life without pain! I hope that you’ll find a way to live with the illness 🙁 Are you taking some kind of medication?

      • Kristen820 says:

@KDP – I’m glad to hear your husband is doing better! I didn’t know Sulfasalazine had uses other than Crone’s Disease/Ulcerative Colitis or other IBDs, either. (Most doctors don’t even know what it is or have any familiarity with it.) I’ve been taking it for years for my UC, and it’s been a miracle drug. Sort of annoying that it makes my palms turn orange, but that’s a small price to pay for remission! lol

      • Quinn says:

I also have psoriatic arthritis- I have had mild skin psoriasis since I was nine, and in February of 2014, I started with severe body-wide joint pain and inflammation. I figured it was PSA right away, and was started on sulphasalazine within a few months. It helped some, but not a lot. I decided I didn’t want to start a biologic drug if I could avoid it, so I started doing a ton of research on rheumatologic conditions. I came across a small article on aspartame poisoning- and as an admitted Coke Zero addict, I took it to heart. Aspartame poisoning had every symptom of my PSA. I stopped consuming it immediately, and within about 4 weeks, I was dramatically better. I am now totally off sulfasalazine, and feel REALLY good.
So, if you happen to be a diet soda drinker, you might look into this. I think aspartame really was a culprit in my joint pain. (It can take about 15 months for aspartame to totally leave the body, and new studies show it turns to formaldehyde in your body.) Just thought I would pass along in case it could help anybody reading. 🙂

      • Felina says:

Much like KDP’s husband, I was treated by an Orthopedic for 6 months with back & knee pain (cortisone injections, pain pills and PT). I got so bad I couldn’t work, it was totally debilitating. My regular DR suspected arthritis and sent me to a Rheumatologist. After much testing I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AK arthritis). I have been on Humira and Sulfasalazine for just over a year now, and it has been life changing. I can’t do all the things I use to do but being able to get out of bed and go to work sure means a lot to me. I was amazed to learn how little most people (including the Orthopedic) knew about arthritis. My heart goes out to anyone suffering.

    • SNAP says:

I’d be careful what i wish for, i was covered from head to toe on psoriasis. I got clinically depressed, started pulling my hair off and even became anorexic because somehow i thought i was allergic to food so i just stopped eating. I was suicidal and wouldn’t come out of the house. It hurt like knives just to take a shower, couldn’t stand the gentle water against my skin. Even wearing clothes pulled the skin scales and made it bleed everywhere. It was painful, unsightly and VERY RED. I was granted temporary disability from work after they saw the severity of my condition. Wearing long sleeves and pants during hot humid summers while you sweat and it stings your skin felt like lemon and salt on a fresh wound times 100, all over my body and scalp. It’s like slow torture, i often wondered what i did to deserve such a horrible illness. Even now that it’s been 4 years since i was covered, i have whitish skin spots that mark where i used to have the lesions. My skin doesn’t tan in a uniform way, the patches remain extremely light, a reminder of the horrible ordeal i went thought with psoriasis. So lets not try to compare, every illness has it’s own set of issues. I’d rather be healthy, but gotta take it one day at a time. I enrolled in trials for medications through one of the manufacturers, but i started to develop a heart valve leak with the experimental medication so i had to stop it. Although it was helping clear my skin a great deal i figured i need my heart more than i need clear skin. I changed my eating habits, sleep more, and i’m anal about what i put on my skin. I have it on my calves now, a little bit on my elbows and buttocks and a couple patches still on my face but i can live with it now, eve though it is never completely gone.

      • DodieTn says:

I also have psoriasis. Have had it since 6 years old. Use to be so bad on arms and knees kids bullied me. Not so bad as I am older and change in diet but still super self conscious in short sleeves and shorts.

      • SNAP says:

I’m sorry you’ve had it from such a young age. I got it at 30, never knew what it was until it popped up one day and covered me all over. Some people, not just kids, can be very insensitive sometimes. Shoot, i was dealing with self rejection…but we’ll make it. Since you mentioned it, diet can work wonders. It makes you more mindful of what you put in your body. Hey, from one sufferer to another: you are beautiful and strong!!! Don’t give up hope! 🙂

    • MrsB says:

      Sam & Star,
Sorry you have both been through so much, I certainly don’t want to diminish your experiences. I know several friends that have it, and they’ve never had anything close to as bad as what you’re describing.

With that said, I would have probably reacted differently if it was someone other Leann was talking about this. She is such a drama queen that wants to be the victim in everythingn, I sort of wrote her off. For the record, I doubt her’s has really been that bad.

      • Ya says:

Well she takes humera which is pretty serious medication – it could have long term effects which are still unknown. Hopefully a doctor wouldn’t prescribe it to her unless it was really necessary.

Her story does make sense though – in her old pictures and videos as a teenager she is often completely covered from neck to ankle. Could blame 90s fashion but even back them people.were on her case for looking like.a 45yo at 16.

      • The Bucket Lady says:

She might be a drama queen but being on Humira is NO joke!

      • MrsB says:

I know @Bucket Lady I have been on all the biologics myself. Humira is no joke, but it is a godsend for me. I mean, the side effects suck, but it’s better than the alternative.

I’ve just gotten to the point with her, that if she opens her mouth, I assume it’s a half-truth at best.

      • The Bucket Lady says:

Humira has been amazing for me but I do worry about the long term effects and pregnancy.

    • BRE says:

I hate to quote dr. phil but I once heard him say that there is nothing wrong with being upset that you broke your leg even if the person in the hospital bed next to you had his leg amputated. I too have an auto-immune disease that has ruined so many plans I had for my life and has caused serious pain and medical treatment/expenses but I can still have empathy for those with other diseases that may seem more mild because they suffer emotionally in some of the same ways as I have. Plus, there are people in this world who are far worse off then you and would do anything to just have your auto-immune disease.

      • MrsB says:

As I said above, my reaction was more directed at Leann than anybody else struggling with psoriasis, which I did not make clear in my original post. This is the girl that if she hurts a nail, bandages it, and wails about it on twitter for a month. Also, she lies. A lot.
I have plenty of empathy for anybody that struggles with their health, I just don’t think she is one of them.

“Plus, there are people in this world who are far worse off then you and would do anything to just have your auto-immune disease.”

You sure about that? Pretty sure you know nothing about me or my disease and how bad off I am or are not. It has almost killed me twice. As in, I flatlined on 2 separate occasions. I am extremely thankful for my good days, but when it is bad, it is very very bad.

      • Dani8 says:

I hear what you say. I have sarcoidosis and it sucks. It too has almost killed me. It will eventually be the death of me. Just a matter of time. I cherish life though and make the best of each day.

      • RachelGG says:

MrsB – You’re saying you don’t want to diminish the suffering that people with psoriasis go through, but you continue doing it by making it a contest. When I had childhood Leukemia I don’t remember the brain cancer kids telling me they had it worse and they’d love to trade with me. And I don’t remember them arguing over who got the title of “Sickest Person on Earth Ever” because of how many surgeries they’d had. A lot of people in this world suffer, and don’t even have the privilege of hospitalizations or surgeries to aid them because of what part of the world they live in. They may have your disease but no first world comforts or medicine to help them cope. I think BRE’s point was just that a little perspective goes a long way.

    • funcakes says:

I just read all the comments about how psoriasis can really damage the body. This is why I’m having trouble believing LeAnn has the disorder.
She’s always in a revealing bikini without a blotchy in site. It not effecting her body because she’s always active with her exercise.
If she had any kind of medical issues she would be on Twitter letting ever one know so she could elicit sympathy from her fans. I don’t know about this.

      • Jen says:

It’s a horrible disease! I’ve had it since the age of 7! At its worst it covered 90% of my body. I also take a weekly biologic drug called Etanercept. Its basically the same as Humira. The difference this drug has made is incredible! I’ve gone from being 90% covered to 10% covered. So her being on a drug like Humira is definitely plausible. Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean you don’t have it. Also look up Caridee English (Supermodel). She takes another form of biologic called Stelera and allows her to be psoriasis free. She’s a big advocate for Psoriasis Awareness

      • funcakes says:

        I’ve seen her commercial.
But to read about all the people above and how horrendous it can be on the body in more ways than one you would think Leann would say something on twitter about a flare up. She likes talking about every other ache and pain.

    • Pandy says:

I feel sorry for folks with psoriasis. It looks like it hurts and stings if you put anything on it and yes, it does look like something contagious. I wouldn’t want to have to deal with it.

    • Jen says:

Having Psoriasis is AWFUL. I’ve had it now for 23 years and it brings nothing but sorrow. At my worst it covered 90% of my body. In the summer I couldn’t even bare to wear t-shirts or shorts because of the way people look at you and talk to you. One time I was out minding my own business when this woman walking towards me pointed at my legs and shouted “Ew that is disgusting I can’t walk past her”. I deal with sh*t like this on a daily basis! I was even belittled at work to the point where I was made to bring in a mini hoover because I flaked too much apparently and it made other people uncomfortable.

And don’t get me started on the physical side of things! Imagine your skin being on fire 24/7. So red raw and tight that you look like a burns victim. If only I could post a picture of my skin on a bad day, then people might understand a bit more!

Sorry rant over! It just really frustrates me because people see this auto-immune disease as superficial when it totally isn’t.

      • Jayna says:

Jen, that sounds horrible. You deserve to rant.

People can be so cruel. I can never wrap my mind around that. How does someone like the woman that passed you on the street and said what she said not go home and feel her ugliness on the inside? How hateful.

I’m glad you are getting great results from the medication you are on.

      • Jen says:

@jayna you get used to the remarks after a while. The thing is if people actually just asked me about my condition I wouldn’t mind so much. It’s the snide comments that really get to me!

I had a flare up at Christmas which left me in hospital for 2 days. Luckily they don’t happen too often! On the flip side I am extremely lucky to live in the UK where they pay for my biologic medicine. I can’t imagine the struggle some people in the states must have to afford the proper medication.

    • Somegirl says:

      @MRSB

Seriously, my husband has psoriasis that has turned into psoriatic arthritis. Every movement hurts, he’s in constant pain, there is no cure, and the treatments are dangerous. He’s at a significantly increased risk for heart attack, stroke, and lymphoma as a result of the disease. He has trouble holding things without dropping them and is loosing the ability to move his joints and his mobility. So yes, psoriasis can be a minor annoyance. It can also be a life altering, debilitating disease that alters a person’s entire life and causes their family to suffer, unable to help them. Please think before you scoff. And my husband is only in his early 30s; he’s facing an extremely aggressive, life long illness that I have to try not to weep about daily to be strong for him. I’m sorry you’ve dealt with an autoimmune disorder also; they are terrible diseases but yours isn’t the only terrible one. So many people suffer.

Edit- I see you’ve come back and said you were judging just on Leann; I understand that it’s easy to dismiss her claims, but the disease is not something to laugh off, and if she really does have it, I feel for her on that front!

    • Kiyoshigirl says:

FYI, MrsB, Psoriasis IS an autoimmune disorder! I have an isolated patch of it on my left foot (bottom of foot, heel and sides) and just that 8″ patch causes a multitude of problems wearing shoes, socks and God forbid I try to go barefoot. Having one health problem is not better or no worse than having another. Be careful what you wish for because if you are already predisposed to autoimmune disorders, psoriasis could be in your future.

    • FLORC says:

      It’s all relative.

  8. Amelie says:

What’s the bet that 35 of those 40 daily pills are laxatives?

  9. SleepyJane says:

She actually looks really good in these pics. Did she get her eyes widened?

  10. Tate says:

Nothing will ever beat that ridiculous elf video announcing her big Christmas tour. That had me in stitches….

    • funcakes says:

Not even the Halloween/ elf video with her bad acting.
But you may be right because the elf video advertised for her Christmas tour. And most of the cities were spelled wrong. Plus she was trying to sell those god awful elfie shirts that are still.available on her website.

      • Tate says:

Ahhh…. Forgot about the Halloween video. That was pretty laughable too. I think KiKi had a starring elf role in both of those masterpieces.

  11. Jess says:

That’s a ton of pills, dang! That can’t be healthy at all, plus her weight yo-yo’s so much that I have no doubt she uses laxatives or has some type of eating disorder, which is sad, but she looks better lately.

No wonder her hair always looks so greasy, bet it stinks too, gross. I love how she acts like her little country fair shows are a real tour and she’s so busy, she’s home or on vacation most days!

    • claire says:

She did an interview recently where she was saying she was so happy what little time she had at home because she spends most of the time on the road, doing 50 shows a year. Um, Leann, might wanna do the math on that one….

      • Christin says:

Her idea of ‘tour’ is vastly different. Have a feeling the big announcement is what little venues she’s lined up for her Yuletide yodeling.

      • renee28 says:

I was at Mohegan Sun a few weeks back and she was doing a free show. Her career is nothing to brag about.

      • Jess says:

Haha!! She’s so just sooooo busy on her tour, I think she thinks she’s as big as Taylor Swift or Carrie Underwood, but they don’t have time to be on social media literally all day long and vacations 3 times a month, they actually have jobs.

      • funcakes says:

Yes there were several articles out about LeAnn putting off baby plans because she’s touring non-stop and would like to spend her free time with Eddie. They are having a lot of sexy time together.

      • Jayna says:

        That’s funny.

  12. piecesofme says:

Looking for something good…. I’m glad she is open about her psoriasis. I have 2 siblings who have been dealing with this their whole lives; it can really affect how you feel about anyone seeing any part of your body. 30 years ago the treatments were tar shampoo (not that decent T-gel, but this gross thick black stinky tar concoction) and various random topical creams that helped keep the plaques soft so they wouldn’t crack and bleed, but didn’t really seem to do much else.

The sun also helps a lot; when one of my sisters was pregnant she had some major plaque outbreaks, so she had UV treatments. Different than tanning bed–administered by a doctor. It really cleared her up. But Humira is amazing.

Though she does have to be careful about getting pregnant while on it. There’s still not a lot of data about birth defects, except that that class of drugs it belongs to increases risks of certain types of birth defects.

    • SamusAran says:

I take Humira for Crohn’s Disease and I’ve been all over forums and whatnot for nearly ten years now. Long road. But you can check out/google “infant risk + humira” and there is an official site with good data that goes through the different biologics and their risk on pregnancy/babies/etc.

  13. SNAP says:

Well i understand why she seems to obsess over wearing bikinis…i have the dog gum psoriasis and i’ll tell you it S-U-C-K-S…moreso because the medications in the market are all EXPENSIVE even with medical insurance coverage and they usually need preapproval!!! No generics yet..which makes life hell for those of us who have the skin condition and not enough money. I’ve had to take a cancer medication, Methotrextate because it was within my budget but it can mess up with your liver and it lowers your ability to fight infections so i had head colds often and had to be extra careful not to get sick. So it is a “tit for tat” game with this crap. I can tell you it can have severe psychological effects on sufferers….cough…may explain some of LeAnn’s antics. Most of my body is clear now and my liver has survived so far, but i long for the day when my lower legs won’t look like i have leprosy or itch like crazy so i can wear some shorts or a one piece swimsuit without being stared at in disgust. So, ok LeAnn, you get a pass from me bcs i know how this crap messes with one’s life, it kills one’s self esteem and may drive one temporarily insane. It all makes sense now…LOL

    • Pedro45 says:

Humira is criminally expensive but it’s the only drug I can use for my Crohn’s Disease. It works really well but it really is a pain to get pre-approved. Plus, it has to be shipped from a specialty pharmacy and kept cold every month.

      • SNAP says:

You’re right Pedro…Stellara is another one that is also criminally expensive, as you say. The only one that ever offered a somewhat decent pricing was Enbrel with their savings card though it seems the body gets resistant to it and the psoriasis comes back again after a while. Glad to hear Humira helps your condition. Again, crossing fingers and hoping pharmaceuticals come up with cost effective generics soon!

      • SamusAran says:

Yes, it is, along with Remicade. I was on Remicade before switching to Humira for my Crohn’s Disease and they called Remicade “liquid gold” because it was nearly $20,000 per infusion, which was every 6-8 weeks.

    • Baylor says:

LeAnn has been using that excuse for all her bikini wearing for a while now. She has been saying that she wears them b/c her skin is clear now and wants to wear them before she gets too old to. That would work if there wasn’t a hole in that story. You see, LeAnn claimed to have her condition under control/ her skin cleared since she was married to Dean. She was even younger then. Yet, she wasn’t obsessed the bikinis then. It wasn’t until Eddie that she completely changed her style and became all about bikinis. It’s all either because Eddie told her that’s what he likes, she is SWFing Brandi, or its a way for her to deal with her crippling insecurities due to being married to Eddie.

      • Pandy says:

If I had her body I’d be strutting around in a bikini as well. An alternate theory re Dean vs Eddie and bikinis …. maybe she’s more comfortable with herself/her sexuality with Eddie? Maybe Dean didn’t make her feel sexy and like her body is worth exposing?

  14. frances egan says:

her kidneys are working extra hard you get most of your nutrition from food all those vitamins are just taxing her system and being eliminated without being absorbed her herbalist is a huckster

  15. NewWester says:

Prenatal vitamins? She just dropped a big hint or wants people to talk about her

    • Byte Me says:

Well then it worked because we’re all talking about her yet again. I’d bet $$$$$ that she’ll never get pregnant though or she surely would have by now.

      • MichLynn says:

A lot of non-pregnant women take prenatal vitamins to make their hair and nails grow faster. But Leann is just trolling by saying it and wants the preggo rumors.

  16. Esmom says:

I don’t know, I thought she sounded normal-isn, too. I kinda feel for her because it’s clear she clings to her vitamins and her tanning, it sounds like anxiety.

  17. Lesa says says:

The only thing I want to know is where is the big diamond again? Been missing for a while. Wonder if she had to pawn it for a mortgage payment. I’ve dealt with psoriasis from a dog bite Had it on my head.. Lost most of my hair. So I know how horrible it can be. I just have a hard time believing hers was very severe. But, then the only thing I think when I read any interview she has, is that she’s lying with every answer. Paps don’t stalk her. She calls them. She doesn’t tour any more. She plays a casiono in a remote town or a county fair. Still interviews like she’s this major star. Has been. She gets an occasional meaty bone thrown her way. Big announcement? Doubt it amounts to much per her usual big news.

  18. schmoopy says:

Since LeAnn exaggerates everything and all the info she puts out is very calculated (make no mistake about that), I’m going to translate this interview for those of you that are not wise to the LeAnn Rimes manipulation tactics.

The paparazzi and fashion: I dress specifically for the paps, because I call them and let them know where I’ll be.

She’s on Humira: I’ve had psoriasis since I was 10. I sometimes had to wear long pants or pantyhose in the summer.

The bikini liberation: Blah blah Blah, I will use any excuse to wear a bikini, because Brandi wears bikinis. I will also talk about wanting to be naked because Brandi talks about it too.

She spray tans: Bragging about my $500 spray tan machine.

She has extensions: Brandi wears extensions, so I do too. Do you think my hair looks like Brandi’s?

Pills: I take about 7 pills in the morning and 4 at night. I’m going to make sure you all know I take prenatal vitamins so you wonder if I’m pregnant.

    • funcakes says:

Brandi was on The Doctors discussing the vitamins she takes.
If LeAnn was so into vitamins she would have begged for freebies by now.

    • Karma says:

@Schmoopy – That’s how I read the interview as well. She’s very calculating with what she puts out there and it’s why LeAnn thinks she’s “smarter than the average bear.”

Calling people haters who can see through her bs doesn’t make them wrong.

@Funcakes – I saw that interview too. Is there anything that LeAnn doesn’t SWF from Brandi?

  19. platypus says:

40 pills a day can be extreme or probably fine, depending on what she’s taking. Sounds like a hassle, though. I don’t see a problem with taking supplements if the theory and research behind them is reasonable and there’s no reason to believe they are unsafe, or more unsafe than the alternative prescription medication (in cases where they may not be necessary). I know I probably sound like I live on a commune or watched too much Dr. Oz, but I think it’s probably a good investment in health and well-being, if you do some research first (obviously many are dangerous or completely ineffective).

    • funcakes says:

In her interview she talks about several types of lotions, spray tanning and using chemicals to spray on her hair to keep it clean. Then she has extensions which I heard could be damaging.
Would it be simpler to eat a lot of vegetables, wash your hair on a daily basis, stop with the spray tans and make up and just drink a lot of water.
All those pills must be interacting in a negative way.
Water is the best beauty product one can have.

      • claire says:

She’s so gross. She also talks about when they take those 3 days in the RV to do 2 shows how she doesn’t shower during that time. She uses wipes. No freaking wonder she always looks so unclean.

      • MichLynn says:

wtf? That big RV doesn’t have a shower?? Even my parents little camper has a bathroom with a shower stall. She’s just making excuses for being lazy and dirty.

      • claire says:

She said it has just a teeny little bathroom sink. Doesn’t make sense at all. She’s just gross, naturally, I think.

      • funcakes says:

Omg! She can use a gallon of water out of a container and soap herself up and rinse it off. She can do it outside of the rv. Just make sure your in a remote place.
Boy that Eddie is a lucky guy.

      • briargal says:

@claire–I think she is simply too lazy to clean up. Look at her work ethic and now apply that to her physical uncleanliness. Just plain lazy!!

    • Solanacaea (Nighty) says:

actually, vitamin pills can be damaging. I remember 2 years ago I had a cold so I bought vitamin C pills, and the pharmacist asked me if I took them daily very often, I said no, just taking them that week because of the cold. He told me to be careful, because 1 pill of vitamin C a day, every single day throughout extended periods of time (months) can cause liver problems..
Carotene (2 pills a day, can cause your skin to become orange for real, vitamin E fatens you.. so… just eat healthy…

  20. Dvaria says:

I don’t get why she still gets interviewed anywhere. She doesnt have a record label, she’s not in the public eye outside mini mart casinos in the middle of nowhere, and she’s about as relevant as Lila McCann or Jessica Andrews….other 1 hit country stars from the early 00s.

That being said, she needs to be careful with all those vitamins if you have skin issues. Biotin made me break out worse than my teen years and nothing helped except stopping the pills.

    • claire says:

I think she begs for a lot of them. A good portion of interviews though, are podunk radio stations and podunk newspapers in the podunk towns she’s doing free fair or casino shows. It’s just filler and advertising what to do that weekend.

    • funcakes says:

It’s those fluff pieces I’m sure anybody can get interviewed for. She has concerts to promote so she can get her finances in order.
I must say she doing a good job of not cancelling.

  21. 90shasbeen says:

It’s funny how she calls her one stop gigs in the middle of nowhere tours. She just did a concert at the Ventura fair for free. The admission for the fair was $12. Truly sad how she’s ruined her career for a lazy, aging gigolo.

I’ve always felt Eddie is draining her as payback to exposing their affair. He seems so disconnected from her even in pictures. You can tell they are having financial issues because their vacations are very low budget. As soon as she makes the money, it is gone.

I foresee a bankruptcy soon. You can’t live like they do with limited income. Once the money is gone…Eddie will be as well.

Now the 40 vitamins a day. Go watch Doctors episode with Brandi. She takes an excessive amount per day. I believe this is just another SWF moment.

    • funcakes says:

I don’t know. Leann seems to be holding it together. She hasn’t cancelled in awhile.
Maybe, just maybe, she finally realize that she better pull herself together before she loose everything.

  22. thecookingpan says:

Humira and prenatal vitamins? Contraception is highly recommended when you’re on most biologics… I smell a rat…

    • SamusAran says:

You can safely get pregnant while taking Humira. I have Crohn’s Disease and you just have to monitor your condition, whatever it is, while attempting to become pregnant. Google infant risk and humira for more info.

  23. ya says:

It’s almost like she was trolling with her “announcement” today – it’s just the bunch of usual gigs she does over xmas time.

    • funcakes says:

The crazy Kelly Rutherford train is stealing her thunder today.

    • tweetersagainstcheaters says:

The crazy thing is, she has had those shows listed on her web site for several months!
Its not like they are new/added shows. I guess the big news is, she name the shows something different than the LR2015 Tour? Gawd can anyone not help the twit? I am still cracking up that she actually came out and said she does 50 shows a year (we all know that is a lie, more like maybe 30) but does she know there are actually 365 days in a year?

      • funcakes says:

I thought so to. I know I read those dates awhile back and noticed that she’ll have off for Christmas. Maybe this is her way of promoting her upcoming album on her new independent label she signed up with.
There saying this cuts out the middle man a she’ll receive the total royalties.

      • ya says:

No idea….. but this stuff makes her look pathetic – kind of like the boy who cried wolf. she should save her announcements for when she actually has them.

If she is continuing with this label though, I think that’s positive for her – it’s a good label with good artists and she’ll get a much bigger cut of whatever she sells.

      • Annie B says:

She’s not signed with a label. This is a company that distributes music, online. She is paying them to release and distribute her “independent” recordings, done on Barrel Clown’s iPhone I assume in his “studio”. She would be paying them to distribute her music. They aren’t paying her a dime, for anything.

      • ya says:

@Annie B – that’s totally fine; that’s actually a better deal than most major labels which just give out “advances.”

THere’s a reason why even Taylor Swift has a publishing deal and has gone with an independent label. Macklemore had no label. Though of course I am not in any way comparing leann to taylor or macklemore – there is no way leann will ever again reach the kind of sales they have.

The music industry has changed big time and record labels are no longer necessary in the same way that they were in the past. THat’s a very good thing IMO.

  24. msw says:

    Huh. She doesn’t SEEM evil.

  25. Christin says:

The big ‘announcement’ is indeed her Yuletide yodeling schedule. December only, and all on the West Coast (where she lives anyway).

She has no concept of under promise and over deliver.

    • Tate says:

I knew it would be a whole lot of nothing.

She has to stick close to home. Peen patrol is a full time job.

    • JenniferJustice says:

Oh please let that be the name of her Christmas album – Yuletide Yodeling! I love it!

  26. G says:

When your skin heals but, you’re still a scab….

  27. EG says:

Ugh…I hate to say it but she looks pregnant. Not a bump obviously but that smug, smug face…she looks way happier than usual. Time will tell…

    • Byte Me says:

Of course she looks happy. The pap showed up at their scheduled time. She did tweet today that she is NOT pregnant.

    • why? says:

Leann isn’t pregnant, she just wants everyone to think she is. Leann has been bragging about getting drunk every single week, so there is no way she is pregnant. Last week when she announced that she was going to be making a big announcement this week, she tweeted, “I am going to be everywhere”. An indication that her big announcement has something to do with touring or her Christmas album, not a pregnancy. Leann did this interview with that magazine in June, a week after she fed Star magazine the fake pregnancy stories.

    • why? says:

The night that that photo of Leann in that dress was taken, she was at a restaurant drinking with Lizzy, Kiki, Darrel, Darrel’s boyfriend, and Eddie.

  28. Michele says:

I love Celebitchy so much but I can’t even read her interview only what Kaiser wrote. LeAnn’s big announcement should be that she’s a fraud and is bankrupt and paying back Ed’s friends.

  29. JenniferJustice says:

And here I thought the reason she starting posing in bikinies was only after and because she got bolt ons. Silly me.

If she says “like” one more time, or “so” , I’m going to mail her a dictionary and a thestaurus. It’s as if I’m listening to Shaggy from Scobby Doo. No offense Shaggy.

    • Christin says:

She actually looked and dressed much better during the Dean years. She had a really cute dress style (sort of a modern take on retro hair/clothing), and sporty looks. And she looked like she washed more often!

    • funcakes says:

I went on you tube to watch some old interviews and she seemed so low key.
She dress age appropriate. There was no wild hand jesters. She spoke at a slower pace where you could understand what she was actually saying.
Now she seem so erratic as if she’s not comfortable in n her own body.
I guess Dean knew how to mellow her out. With Eddie she seems so frantic.

  30. Jane says:

I’m still utterly pissed off at her for making the comment about setting the alarms off on her airplane flight with the dry shampoo. She’s still so da**ed smug about it. I would have had a talk with the pilot (and trust me I have done it before when I thought they screwed up royally) and told him that her behavior was wrong. I want to know how she managed to get away with it.

    • Christin says:

I can’t believe she’s still boasting about that, either. That would have been very frightening for other passengers, but I guess when you’re the “only one that (sic) matters”, it’s OK.

Does she not realize there are truly dry (non-aerosol) products? And, what about the novel idea of actually washing one’s hair more regularly? Or at least waiting until the plane lands. Such a seasoned ‘tour’ traveler should know better.

      • Jane says:

The thought that this woman washes her hair only 2 times a week makes me sick to my stomach. Her scalp must be a mess and the smell??? Geeezzz. Of course her Pinterest board has a load of pictures of the dirty-messy-ragged-damaged look for hair. She thinks it’s hip while it makes my skin crawl. Between that and her “accident” at the fashion show last year, this woman needs to learn how to take care of herself.

      • ya says:

huh? I only wash my hair once a week. It’s much better for my hair (which is dry), and I think it’s made my hair fuller/thicker too.

      • briargal says:

But Leaky’s hair always looks so greasy/oily and dirty. So she should wash it more often. It makes me wonder if she showers regularly!

    • funcakes says:

Yeah. If that was one of us the air Marshall would have been called in. I’m surprised because after an incident like that they usually turn the plane around and get law firm enforcement involved.

  31. Cinderella says:

Both of them look like they’ve taken pills. I’ve never seen either so wide-eyed.

  32. Gammy says:

“like 20 pills a day”, stupid American’s putting ‘like’ in front of everything. You don’t know how ridiculous you sound.

  33. KNOW-IT-ALL says:

Eddie Cibrian is a sociopath controlling the mind of tgis woman she needs to get out before it is too late

  34. JennaB says:

Could someone please go online somehow and tell LeAnn what it means when a woman has a tatoo on her ankle or foot, and to have that crap removed?
Because I honestly don’t think she’s in that, but she’s just a dumb pup who got it because she thought it “looked cool” or something. Or someone else talked her into getting it, and they knew, but she is a dumb pup who doesn’t, and they are royally screwing with her. Because, really. I mean please, somebody. And for those of you who don’t know, no it isn’t about sexuality. But it is just sick. And if you don’t know, you really really don’t want to.

  35. Mrs. Darcy says:

Wouldn’t fake tan be a bad idea for her psoriasis? It makes me itch sometimes anyway, it can be really drying.
