Lily Allen calls Victoria Beckham a ‘monster’, Cheryl Cole a ‘bitch’

Lily Allen has supposedly gone on a seething rant on English footballers’ wives. The Sun is running this story without sourcing Allen’s outrageous quotes, but Metro.co.uk lets us know that Allen supposedly said these things to “obscure French football magazine SoFoot.” Allen is quoted as calling Victoria Beckham a “monster” and Cheryl Cole a “bitch.” These quotes are so out there I want to give Allen the benefit of the doubt and assume that they’re either made up or that there was some scenario in which she didn’t know she was being quoted. It’s possible that she got wasted at an event and didn’t realize she was talking to a journalist or that something was lost in translation. Allen has talked a lot of smack in the past, but these quotes are filled with such vitriol that it’s hard to believe she said this. (Here’s a link to SoFoot’s website if one of our French-speaking readers can check it out. It doesn’t look like the article is available online, and they just mention that they have an interview with Allen in the latest issue.)

It looks like motormouth Lily Allen just can’t keep her trap shut after unleashing a hate-fuelled rant calling Posh a “monster” and Cheryl Cole a “b****”.

The Smile singer opened up to obscure French football magazine SoFoot and made sure she gave the Beckhams a proper tongue-lashing.

“The Beckham are sickening. Everyone knows Victoria is a monster. I’d rather shoot myself between the eyes than be a WAG.”

She then turned her attentions to Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole and her footballer hubby Ashley.

“She is just a b****. She represents everything I hate. She is stupid, superficial and as ugly outside as inside.”

I’d rather shoot myself between the eyes than be a WAG
Her remarks are sure to reignite an old feud between the two snipping pop divas – Cheryl first got Lily’s goat after she compared her to “a chick with a dick”.

Lily also saves some venom for Cheryl’s husband Ashley, who she brands “revolting”.

“He is the worst, he disgusts me. He jumps on everything that moves.”

“I am not criticising just to criticise, but I have met him several times. He is revolting.”

And the singer blasts the footballing world in general saying: “It’s ridiculous, I hate it. Footballers aren’t there to show off in London, but to play football.

“Mind you, they are probably too stupid to understand that. Especially the English ones.”

Footballers, she adds, “go out everywhere they can find alcohol for too much money and sex for nothing.”

Allen has responded to controversies over her past bad behavior by saying she’s entitled to blow off steam and blaming other people for paying attention to her drunken antics. So far she hasn’t addressed this interview on her MySpace or Twitter, although her explanation will probably involve deflecting responsibility. I’d like to think she didn’t really say this, though. It’s just too obnoxious, even for Lily. The girl was just named the face of Chanel handbags, and she can’t afford to jeopardize her endorsement deals by running her mouth like this. Only two months ago Allen admitted that she was completely broke and had to sell her BMW for cash.

I guess I’m clueless, but what is a WAG?

  2. Kat says:

It’s an acronym used to describe either the wives or girlfriends of footballers.

  3. Gloaming says:

These quotes are probably from a few years ago.

Lily’s less of a loudmouth these days. Apart from her well deserved attacks against Perez Hilton a while back she seems to be a bit more restrained these days.

Isn’t this one of those “pot calling the kettle black” moments? I mean, I’ve never read anything to make me think that Allen is anything particularly special or wonderful. She is a flavor of the month who’s name we won’t remember in a year or two.

When will people learn that putting other people down does not make you look better by comparison? I don’t like Beckham, and I’ve never even heard of Cole, yet after reading this I got just a little indignant on their behalf.

first of all, compliments to the writer, for not only mentioning that the article can not be found, but for giving Lily Allen the benefit of the doubt. Another article, has claimed, that Lily Allen is quoted as say; I like Cheryl Cole, when I said what I did, it was only how I felt at the time. The reality of this is back in 2007 it was Gordon Ramsay, that made the chick with a d*ck comment while Cheryl Cole was sitting at a table chatting (that’s on video tape) but this is old news anyway.

I’d love to help with the translation, but if I have to buy the issue…

Anyway, on the frontpage she’s quoted as saying “j’ai un mépris considérable pour l’équipe de France” which means “I considerably despise the French team”.

So Gloaming, it seems that she’s not all that restrained in this interview.

  7. sissoucat says:

French sources on the web give those two extracts :

“Les Beckham craignent. Tout le monde sait que Victoria est un monstre. Je préfère plutôt me tirer une balle entre les deux yeux que de lui ressembler.”

“Beckhams suck. Everybody knows that Victoria is a monster. I’d rather shoot a bullet between my eyes than be/look like her”

    and

“La France et le foot de toute façon…Une Brochette de merde! J’ai un mépris considerable pour l’equipe de france. Alors Voila. Le seul que j’aime bien c’est Ben Arfa”

“France and soccer, whatever… a pack of shit ! I considerably despise the French team. So there. The only one I like is Ben Barfa.”

Huh. That’s restrained for her ?

  8. anonymous says:

    There was no interview.

  9. anonymous says:

People can’t write that this was actually said, and expect it to hold some proof. Lily Allen does not do written interviews. So many false interviews have been written, and she’s been misquoted so many times, where it’s turned into a complete backlash, that she has made it clear on her My Space website that she will not do one. The final straw being, the misquote where she encouraged children to do drugs. That magazine is being sued by Lily Allen.

  10. cherryblossom says:

I’m hoping she didn’t actually say that. I kinda dig Lily…she’s sort of immature, but her music is pretty good (for pop music).

So-foot is an obscure publication that isn’t even translated into other languages, it deals with the subject of sports, the press (British in particular) are well aware of the comment & blog post Lily Allen made, when it was first published. Ask yourself, why the hell, would a sports magazine publish a comment about a pop star and why would they do it after it happen so long ago? Why would a sports magazine, feature an article on a pop star? It wouldn’t make sense. Plus the added bonus of Celeb/bitchy writing that it’s not true. Come on?

  12. Gloaming says:

    @ sissoucat,

If you had read my post, you can see i said “These quotes are probably from a few years ago”

Clearly your all riled up about the comment about the French footballers, it’s clearly as much of a fabrication as The Sun newspaper story linked here.

I mean seriously, are we expected to believe Lily Allen insulted the French right before she’s due to get a Chanel contract?

    Huh?

  13. anonymous says:

@ sissoucat The article can not be found. Your writing your own quote, and claiming that Lily Allen said it.

  14. ! says:

She did address the issue on Twitter. She said to not believe the quotes, they’re completely made up:

and no i didnt say that stuff, ive never met cheryl, or her husband , noe david beckham. please dont believe that rubbish.

  15. Gloaming says:

@ ! Thanks for clearing that up.
I didn’t see any truth to this.

  16. anonymous says:

I always believed that it was false. If you can’t take her word for it on twitter, then people are just angry no matter what.

  17. anonymous says:

    Gloaming, does sarcasm!

  18. Gloaming says:

    Erm……. no.
    No sarcasm intended.
I wasn’t aware of Lily Allen’s twitter post.
    so………..

  19. anonymous says:

    This is overkill!
