In Touch and Star Magazine are both running with the Bermuda Triangle this week, with varying accounts of just how badly Brad Pitt wants to leave Angelina Jolie to go back to Jennifer Aniston. There seems to be some debate in Tabloidville as to how exactly Jennifer and Brad keep their relationship going. It’s either by texting (or perhaps sexting, if “intimate” is another word for “dirty sexy texts from Brad Pitt”) versus phone conversations. In Touch’s cover is “Brad’s Intimate Texts to Jen” versus Star’s “Angie Walks in on Jen & Brad”. Cover Awards has the basic lowdown on In Touch’s cover:

He has the nerve to confess that he still has feelings for her and he’s tired of living a lie with Angelina Jolie.

Star has already released part of its cover story, and the cover is very misleading. Shocking, right? When they say Angelina walked in on Jen and Brad, what the story actually reveals is that Angelina walked in on Brad talking on the phone to Jennifer after he had put the kids to bed. It’s not like Angelina walked in on Jennifer and Brad doing it on Zahara’s blankie or something:
It will never end. Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston just can’t cut the cord, and it’s driving Angelina Jolie crazy!
In the June 1 issue of Star, we report that the drama in Hollywood’s most famous triangle just got nastier after Angie nailed Brad talking to his ex-wife, Jen, in the middle of the night!
Earlier this month, Brad was in the kitchen of the family’s rented Long Island, N.Y., manse after all six kids had gone to sleep when — surprise! — Angie came home from the set of her movie Salt hours earlier than expected, and he was busted talking on the phone to his ex-wife.
“Angie totally flipped out,” a family insider tells Star. “She slammed her hand on the counter and stormed out of the room.”
Brad quickly hung up with Jen and ran after his livid lover — who an insider says felt “betrayed and disgusted” — but the battle was only beginning.

Obviously, these magazines had to go to press before yesterday and today’s repeated Brad and Angelina sightings in Cannes. Perhaps Brangelina’s seeming togetherness doesn’t matter to the tabloids – next week’s covers will probably be “Brad Calls Jen From Cannes” or “Angelina’s Cannes Ultimatum: Me or Jen”. Sigh. It never ends.

I read that sentence as…’he ran after his liver‘ – which is shorthand for ‘livid lover’. Which all ties in neatly with the other stories of how he’s drinking 19 bottles of wine per minute.

@Stewie, have you been living under a rock? they’ve always featured very prominently. But they were starting to take a break from it before Marley and & Me came out, and now it’s back to full exposure. If all three stopped working then it would fade, but until that magical blissful day they are here to stay.
Hey at least there are no octomom horror stories out right now. it’s kind nice actually.

“Man dumps his wife of five years for a home-wrecking slut, then proceeds to throw ex-wife under the bus repeatedly, whores his six kids for tabloids and then has the nerve to walk around like some kind of pompous ass because he throws a bone to some charities, never mind the fact that his carbon footprint would make Sasquatch jealous, with all his jetsetting and mansion living. At my advanced age I have watched the gossip press coverage of Burton/Taylor, Taylor/Fisher, Taylor and Burton did an act 2 and remarried, Eddie Fisher, Debbie Reynolds and Elizabeth Taylor is today’s version of Pitt/Jolie/Aniston, as Carrie Fisher noted this during a interview. Reynolds/Fisher did not revamp their relationship. Reynolds was obviously smarter than Taylor, and saved the price of a second divorce. It’s over folks. Now how about Manny..

The tabloids run the same stories all of the time. They have a cycle. Usually it’s Brad and Angelina are breaking up, then Brad and Jennifer is getting back together, then Angelina is pregnant/adopting, then Brad and Angelina are getting married. The reason they follow this formula is the haters and Jenfans fall for the rumors every single time.

God bless the tabloids. They must know that many of us don’t have the time or patience to watch TV soaps, so they’ve put together this nice little soap opera for us right on their covers.
If I had more time, I would totally buy a bunch of magazines and make a bangin’ collage. I hope they add some more characters! Maybe Angelina and/or Jen has an evil twin somewhere.

To Levi: I remember the Taylor-Fisher-Reynolds triangle very well. That one was front-page tabloid fodder for months. Inside of few years everybody had made new alignments. Reynolds remarried, Taylor dumped Fisher for Richard Burton, and Fisher embarked on the third of his five marriages. Reynolds and Taylor resumed their friendship which had broken when Taylor ran off with Fisher, and they are still on very good terms.
I had to give Reynolds her props for handling herself very well throughout the whole episode. She kept a low profile and didn’t go bleating off to the press throwing pity parties for herself left and right and whining about missing sensitivity chips and whatnot. She handled the whole mess with grace like the classy lady she was and still is.

What really upsets me is that by trying to paint Aniston as Brad Pitts ‘great love’ that he just can’t get over, while Angie is the insecure biatch, the tabs are actually making Aniston look stupid.
Are these tabs delusional to assume that Aniston is so stupid to take Pitt back? Please, give it a rest already. I highly doubt that Aniston will take Pitt back even if he was the last man on planet earth. She has moved on, its about damn time the tabs do.

This is hollywood. Nothing is ever rock-solid, stable or above it all. 5 years ago these same mags were predicting the divorce, and the same people were probably on these sites, defending brad and jen’s marriage. Lo and behold, months later, it was all true. the divorce, the affair, the pregnancy. All reported by these “lying” tabs. Yeah they lie. They’re not always spot on. but they do get some things right. I for one am excited at the prospect of anything negative happening to pitt/jolie. anybody who uses kids for a movie career is a low-life.
