Life & Style’s cover story this week is “Why Angelina Is Hiding The Twins”. The cover is of a squinty, worried-looking Angelina in Cannes with an adorable little inset of babies Vivienne and Knox. I recognize the baby pictures – they’re from January, when the whole Jolie-Pitt brood was photographed at the Tokyo airport. The story isn’t as cute as the those chubby baby cheeks though - Life & Style is claiming that twins Knox and Viv are “in hiding”. My first thought was “The twins, they know too much… witness protection… mafia…how will they hide those lips?” Alas, Life & Style went a different route, saying that the babies are “suffering from serious digestive problems.” Some “insiders” are even suggesting that the babies have what seems like… Celiac Disease. Good Lord, is Elizabeth Hasselbeck in on this story? Is it cross-promotion?
Nearly everywhere Angie and Brad have gone, their four oldest children — Maddox, Pax and the boys’ sisters, Zahara, 4, and Shiloh, 2 — have been seen with them.
Noticeably absent, however, have been the couple’s two youngest kids, twins Vivienne and Knox, who’ll turn 1 on July 12. In fact, the twins have been spotted in public only once since January: when they were rushed through an airport near Tokyo while being closely guarded by their parents.
Since then, they’ve remained in hiding — leading to speculation that something could be wrong.
Now Life & Style has learned that Brad and Angelina have been seriously concerned about the twins’ health. The babies are suffering from serious digestive problems, says an insider close to the family. “They’re both hypersensitive,” the insider tells Life & Style.
“Knox has trouble holding down his food. He spits up nearly every meal.” Vivienne, meanwhile, has food and environmental allergies, explains the insider: “Right now, she’s on a lactose and gluten-free diet, and she’s still underweight.”
Angelina, 34, and Brad, 45, have been so worried, they’ve had the twins undergo genetic testing and have been adamant about keeping them behind closed doors. In truth, the real reason Brad and Angelina have been reluctant to take the twins out has to do with their own fears, says the insider.
“Because of their delicate state, Knox and Vivienne need to be kept away from anything they could possibly be allergic to,” the insider explains. “That’s a lot easier to do when they’re home and in a controlled environment.”

Meh. The twins looked pretty healthy in January. I can remember when Shiloh wasn’t photographed for several months, back in 2006 and 2007, and the tabloids did the same thing, questioned her health. I could conceivably buy that maybe the twins are colicky or something like that. But it sounds like bullsh-t to me. I think this is just Life & Style’s way of demanding a photo op with the twins. Thus, the actual countdown of days since Knox and Viv have been seen – 146 days!
On a less conspiratorial note, here’s a small little story from the New York Daily News - they asked Angelina’s Salt costar Liev Schreiber what Angelina is really like. Liev told them, “She’s a lot shorter than I thought she would be, but I was pleased by that… I’m happy there was a flaw. Having said that, I think Angelina is pretty talented. And a remarkable human being, and a great mom. She’s definitely not like any other lady I know.” Sweet. People always think Angelina is taller or bigger than she really is – I suspect it’s mainly because she has such broad shoulders for a woman. Waist-up, or even chest-up photos make it seem like she’s a tall, broad woman. Of course, I’d imagine most women seem small to Liev. He’s 6’3″ tall. Angelina is said to be 5’8″.

“They’re both hypersensitive.” Well no wonder. They’ve probably been reading all the shite that’s been written about their owners.
Wish the tabs would leave kids out of their crap. Having Pitt on a roof with Aniston and AJ sex-talking BBT in the bath is one thing, using kids for tabloid entertainment is another, particularly when the story is that the babies have health probs. Not good, should be off limits.

They really can’t win. We hardly ever see their children but if you scour the blogs, people act like they are hanging on street corners with their kids waiting for people to take their pictures. And when the tabloids realize that they haven’t gotten any new pictures they start these disgusting stories that is not about the children but all about forcing BP and AJ to show off the kids, resulting in more charges that they are selling their kids.

Before I had even read this I was like “Didn’t they say Shiloh was sick too?”
Maybe, just maybe, the Brange doesn’t feel like dragging their very small children out to be attacked by photogs.

We’ve only seen Zahara and Shiloh approx.5-6 this year last time at the grocery store I think in April. So I guess they have allergies too Where are Zahara and Shiloh !!Its been 60+days since we’ve seen them OMG.Put out a missing child report. GMAFB

Is this an industry teaser? A way the magazines attempt to gain a response or a new set of photos?
One year old’s are happy as can be crawling, banging toys, interacting with siblings, and making those first attempts to walk. I would think they are right on cue.

I was just thinking how low can a rag mag go.. then here they are exceeding even my low expectations of them. Brad/Angies kids are rarely seen. If you think about it. That is why when they are seen people talk about how big they are. I think they do a wonderful job keeping their kids out of sight and having them have as normal a life as possible. Yeah they did the same with Shiloh and Angie too after she had the babies.. remember she was on the verge according to them of having a breakdown. Then she shows up at the Changling premier and all is well. Yeah they just need new pics. Can keep running old pictures with new lies.. How would that look. One would then think that the stuff they print should be flushed down a toilet.
I would not spend a penny on one of them.

Too obvious, life & style, the mag is trying to provoke a “family shopping trip” with kids in tow so they can get the pap shots to sell magazines.
If mags call the kids sick, or call the parents negligent then the photo-shoot, I mean pap shots, will come.

Those babies gonna turn 1 in a few days and have been out once in January after having been photographed for their picture presentation in august.
I don’t understand why there isn’t a deontology when it comes to write anything their parents hasn’t approved about kids. It’s obscene. What next, that they are dying ? Their oldest son can know read. He can understand his famous parents targetting by the tabs but imagine he read all the BS about his siblings. That’s totally inappropriate and gross.

I do not share your ideology that the kids are off limits to publicity when the parents use them to promote themselves. I can create a retrospective of all the covers and personal stories on their kids over the past few years to help aid your memories of what shameless parental sellouts they (Brangelina) are. I am still amazed at what they did to Pax when he first arrived in the United States–gave him a spread in a gossip magazine. Can you imagine how overwhelmed he was? Brangelina created the entire problem.

@lb: I can sort of see your point…but as they are little kids it seems really really wrong that the tabloids attack the children who have done nothing to deserve it.
Their parents may be fame hungry, ego-centric narcissists who the media wants to set up as Saints, but their kids are just kids doing kid things. The kids don’t call the tabs and ask for photo-ops. The kids don’t run towards the cameras smiling and yelling “Take my picture!”. They are little children who aren’t really in on the concept of celebrity yet.
Now, when one of them inevitably comes out and starts talking about the parents, then they are fair game ;P

This is total BS. ALL of the children have for the most part been deliberately (and probably wisely) kept away from the paparazzi for months, and that would include the twins. There was just that one time in January when they rushed through an airport in Tokyo. One of the gossip sites trying to drum up a story on Shiloh recently was forced to use an old picture of her from the airport wearing that grey winter coat because they didn’t have anything more current.

I don’t know what people are talking about that there are constant photos of the family and Brad and Angelina sellout their kids. None of them are hardly seen. Most photos of Brad and Angelina are from the movie set or redcarpet events. Only occasionally they are seen going out to dinner. The kids are seen even less. Usually they go weeks if not months without being seen. Most of the time when they are photographed it’s just them leaving/entering a store, school, etc. Brad and Angelina don’t give the paps a lot of opportunities to get a lot of pictures of the kids. Whereas kids like Suri, Violet, Kingston, etc are available to the paps everyday for long stretches of time. Famous or not, all parents talk about their kids. I don’t why Brad and Angelina are attacked but it’s okay for Nicole Kidman, Will Smith, etc to talk about their kids in interviews. I also find it hypocritical to say Brad and Angelina exploit their kids but nobody has a problem when everybody from Julia Roberts to Christina Aguilera have sold family pictures.

Those kids are ones of the most protected and hidden in Hollywood. If Angelina and Brad are whoring their kids, everyone else is even us, normal citizens are, each time we are outside with our kids, each time we have their picture on our desk in the enterprise, each time we brag and talk about them.
I have seen Nicole Richie’s kid, Alba, Affleck, Cruise even Nhala Aubry has grown in front of us unlike the Jolie kids.
And as for whoring out, i think that Will Smith children fit the description, not the kids who are seen every day playing on the ground with their star mother.

I think they are hiding them to up the stakes for another ‘private’ family photo shoot. The money paid for their baby pictures was a lot which means that they may have had a deal of another cover when the they are older, say, their first birthday.
Babies are no joke. They are such hardwork and dedication not some fancy doles that you can put in the attic when you are tired of them. Collecting 6 of them in less than 3 1/2 years has to be the biggest folly these two have ever embarked on. Worse than adultery. I don’t think any relationship can survive that number of infants, even one whose foundation was based on a fantasy to collect as many babies as you can and still have a very active career.

well of course they are messed up, their mommy has not taken the time to bond with them, she’s been filming salt and running around playing humanitarian, she should focus on her own poor kids instead of other peoples kids.
Heck even J-lo took her twins on set with her to film her movie as most new moms do, ang is totally disconected to them, they know the nannies better than their mom. Sad Sad Sad!

Well according to the director Philip Noyce the kids were on the set often . I choose to believe him rather than people who never met or been within hundred miles of Angelina Jolie. Liev claims she is a great mom so obviously he’s seen her interact with her kids. Liev says he often had his sons on the set yet I only saw one pic of his older son and no pics of Naomi but it doesn’t mean they didn’t visit often.The twins were born in July 08 Angie started working on Salt in Feb 09 I started working 3 1/2 months after my son was born so I guess I’m a bad mother.
