Gisele Bundchen’s Vogue Brazil covers are very odd: Photoshop or surgery?

I often reminisce about how 2016 was a great year in gossip, but honestly 2015 had some fun stories too. That was the year when Page Six, People Magazine and assorted French tabloids ganged up on Gisele Bundchen. That summer, Gisele made a mysterious trip to Paris and allegedly donned a burqa so she wouldn’t be seen entering a respected plastic surgeon’s office. She stayed in Paris for a few days, then returned to Boston and several weeks later – presumably after she healed – she began stepping out with a “fresh” face. There were always rumors about Gisele’s plastic surgery – specifically an alleged boob job and some face work – but in recent years, those rumors have definitely risen to a new level.

Speaking of, check out Gisele’s Vogue Brazil covers. Her face is so tight, I thought Vogue Brazil had perhaps used some old photos of her from when she was 25 or something. Ugh, not so much. The editorial was shot just before the lockdown according to Gisele:

“The moment of seclusion makes us, in some way, reassess our lives. It is an invitation to review our priorities and values. Life gave us a shake and made us look not only into ourselves, but at how we act and report to each other. We have to be well so that the other is also well, after all, in this universe, we are all connected. What happens in one place is reflected in another. So it is with nature, it is so with people. ” Interview and editorial for Vogue Brasil in celebration of its 45th anniversary. The editorial was photographed before this period of isolation, and I also gave an interview where I talk about the time we are living in and about the Luz Alliance fund, which I created to support the communities that are most vulnerable. I hope you and your families are well. Sending lots of love and light to everyone.

Did… she get some work done before the lockdown? It certainly looks like it. It wouldn’t be a big deal – women should do whatever they want – but Gisele has always been so strident in how everything in her life is so “natural” and organic and real. Girl’s been quietly traveling to Paris for plastic surgery for years.

Her lips !!! ( look bigger than usually)
    She looks fresh

  2. Em says:

She really is a stunning woman.

I also agree that surgery is her business, but it’s funny that she thinks she can deny it. It would be way classier to just decline comment on personal matters.

But yeah her surgeon is super talented, and she looks amazing – like herself just younger. Which so many stars fail after surgery. See Gwen Stefani.

    • L84Tea says:

While I’m not a huge fan of her personality, she is absolutely a stunning woman.

    • Wilma says:

If it is plastic surgery it was done very well. That actually is the reason I wish more women would own up to it. There probably are a lot of great tips out there! I never forget what Robin Wright said about using botox and if I would ever get botox I would definitely ask for the small sprinkles she got.

    • Adrianna says:

Gorgeous woman. I don’t care what she’s had done. I mean why not if you can look like that.

    • holly hobby says:

She wants to deny it because it doesn’t fit into her mumbo jumbo non toxic all healthy lifestyle. Both she and Tommy shill that garbage.

      • Meg says:

Because then she can’t attribute looking better than other women to being superior to them, but instead it’s because of surgery
        Bitchy? Yes
        True? I think so

    • nn says:

Why would someone ask something like that? Who said she wants to deny it? She didn’t deny anything. That cover has nothing to do with surgery. This is photoshop.

  3. Mina_Esq says:

The last paragraph is exactly it – there is nothing wrong with it, but don’t go around preaching about natural living when you know that you have just as much control over aging as the rest of us.

    • NatureLover says:

Absolutely! Listen to my words, but don’t read my lips, though I don’t know if they are moving yet from the fillers. Yes, we are a completely health conscious family living in a home with purified oxygen as we never put anything harmful into our bubble. This is why I look 20+ years younger, that’s it.

    • nn says:

There is nothing wrong with it, but this site and some readers still want to attack her. Does it make sense? Fake feminists.

  4. Erin says:

her surgeon is doing great work. She looks incredible.

  5. Chonky Cat says:

She looks 20 in the close up shot. Gorgeous. You can see why she’s a top model but why deny the surgery?

  6. Michelle says:

I was surprised that she was not there in Florida Sunday to rush to Tommy Boy’s side after he lost in that golf match to Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning. She’s a little over the top for me.

  7. Chaine says:

Her lips look fluffier, but other than that she just looks like a combination of weight gain and photoshop.

  8. Lisa says:

    She got good surgery.

  9. Annaloo. says:

Looking at Giselle, the first thought I admit that came to me was why aren’t more Brazilians speaking out against that dictator Bolsanaro?

  10. She looks great

  11. Veronica S. says:

Oh, this is 1000% photoshop to me. Look at those photos again, especially around the eyes. Nobody’s face, at age 20 or age 40, is that complete line and pore free. We all have microlines around the eyes and mouth. They’ve even fixed the weird cat-eye issue all of her recent face work has created. Heavy makeup is doing the rest.

As for surgery – definitely Botox. Definitely lip injections. Definitely breast implants that she later removed and then replaced again after kids. Nose job (she smoothed out the bridge but didn’t change the overall shape, so it’s subtle, but it’s obvious if you look at her at a teen). Probably liposuction and a tummy tuck after the babies. Beautiful? Sure. Natural? Don’t let them fool you.

  12. mew says:

Photoshop and lip injections at least.

  13. Karelli says:

She looks exactly as usual. Not saying she haven’t had work done, but no, she looks like that for the past decade. It’s no Kardashian/Gwen Stefani surgery. You’re reaching

  14. Mumbles says:

She’s admitted to a breast lift, but blamed it on nursing.

  15. OriginalLara says:

Compare pictures of her when she was doing runway shows (less, if at all, photoshopped) ca. 1998 / 1999.
And then look at pictures from 2000. Sometime late 1999, early 2000 she had a nose job. And ever since she had minor tweaks here and there and not just a boob job. For her to claim otherwise is ridiculous.

  16. Eda says:

I think she is beautiful. I think all women are beautiful.

But you know what always blows my mind about Gisele? She’s always (ALWAYS!) in the sun. Whether it’s beach vacations, candid pictures, photo shoots…and Tommy Boy has been very open about how drinking water is the only way he protects himself from the sun because sunscreens are evil. And they both preach about living a crunchy lifestyle. So, even though I don’t know her particular stance on sunscreen, with all the photo evidence that she loves the sun, I have a strong feeling her skin is much more aged and sun damaged than we are led to believe. Even if a genetic tendency exists toward youthful skin, you can’t escape the fireball in the sky forever. I suspect she is going heavy on the aesthetic procedures and/or photoshop.

And she admitted to breast implants after her second kid. I’m sure there’s more but that’s the only cosmetic surgical procedure I recall her openly discussing. It’s so common in Brazil, in particular for those in the public eye, I think the chances are high she’s had many procedures— probably before she even became famous.

On the one hand, I don’t think anyone has an obligation to discuss their health history with the public. On the other, it irks me that she pretends that diet and aggressive facials are what help her look the way she does, because I don’t believe it’s truthful.

  17. Malve says:

Guys, these pictures are obviously photoshopped.
Look at her latest video on her Instagram account, she looks nothing like that.

  18. Bobbie says:

I don’t understand what the big deal is if she’s had some work done. She’s a good -looking woman who is in impossibly good shape. A little touch of Botox would not make the average woman look like that. The Botox is not Giselle’s advantage over mere mortals. It’s her genetics and lifestyle. The plastic surgery helps her. It doesn’t make her into a completely different person.
