Jennifer and Clark didn’t actually announce their separation – they just quietly did so and only announced their separation and divorce ahead of the holiday weekend. Was a bit surprised since they’ve been together for so long (and played a married couple on The Conners this season).

It’s sad, they seemed like a happy couple for a long time. Hopefully it’s amicable and they stay on good terms for their daughter.

Ennio Morricone passed away today as well.

Yo Yo Ma did a recording of Morricone’s most prolific work and it was awesome and Morricone also was part of the project.

I know the man was 91 but his music seems to transcend all of us. If you listen, you know you heard it somewhere in your lifetime.

    • Abby says:

@tiffany oh! I love his music. I nearly walked down the aisle to one of his songs. ❤️

    • Sean says:

His score for John Carpenter’s The Thing is still one of the creepiest scores I’ve ever heard.

    • holly hobby says:

Loved the Untouchables. Especially the title song. His compositions were the best!

  3. Case says:

I actually just watched Dirty Dancing for the first time recently and looked up who she’s married to, so it’s so strange that just a couple weeks later they made this announcement.

I found the “Totally crying as we post this” thing to be ridiculous — I get that sometimes things just genuinely don’t work out and it’s no one’s fault, but these couples that put out the “we have so much love and respect for each other and we’re still BFFs!” messages seem a bit disingenuous to me.

There daughter Stella just finished high school a few weeks ago

      • holly hobby says:

Their daughter is the spitting image of Jennifer circa Dirty Dancing BEFORE her ill fated nose job.

    • Granger says:

I hear what you’re saying, Case. I don’t understand why you’d get divorced if you love, value and respect someone so much that you’re both sobbing when you decide to do it. I guess maybe they’re not *in* love… and I do think being “in love” means different things to different people.

What did you think of DD, does it hold up watching with 2020 vision?

  4. Nina Simone says:

Wow I didn’t even realize they were married

  5. Sorella says:

I wonder if he found a new “Christine” as per his role on “The New Adventures of the Old Christine” storyline lol

    • Seeker542 says:

That was such an underrated show! I could watch the reruns nonstop on TV Land in the wee hours of the morning

    • Dazed and Confused says:

      Great show!

      • DiegoInSF says:

Actually, I have so many thoughts about this show, I am a big Seinfeld fan and I love Julia Louis-Dreyfus but I hate the New adventures… Julia’s character is so pathetic and needy. and every time I watched it, I died a little inside since it’s the polar opposite of the amazing Elaine Benes.

      • Minorbird says:

I LOVED that show, I just found out I can watch it on my amazon prime or Philo.
        It was hilarious!

That Kylie outfit makes her look more plastic than usual. Eek!

  7. MaryContrary says:

That Michael Flynn story makes my blood boil. Can you imagine the level of outrage if a former high level Obama official had done something similar?!

    • Tiffany says:

He is a former Obama official. He was fired for being a double agent.

      • MaryContrary says:

He was National Security Advisor for Trump. And Trump continues to talk about what a great guy he is.

      • Ally says:

He was also the Director of Defense Intelligence Agency until Obama fired him.

      • lucy2 says:

And the Obama admin. warned the Trump admin not to hire him, so…of course they did.
IMO he belongs in jail for life for treason, or at the very least should be stripped of all military pension, benefits, ranks, etc.

  8. Seeker542 says:

It’s unfortunate to see these two break up, but 20 years is a massive success in Hollywood and in general, for that matter.

People grow and change, it’s not always for a terrible reason and I don’t get that sort of vibe here.

    • Mara says:

Totally, divorce shouldn’t necessarily be seen as a failure, just another stage of life.

  9. AppleTartin says:

I still like her old nose better.

    • Granger says:

I have never been able to recognize her in photos since she changed her nose. Like, NEVER. I do a double-take every damn time.

It still makes me so sad to think that even well into a successful career in Hollywood, she felt the need to conform to traditional ideas of beauty.
