Just a few weeks ago, Hecate did a story about Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker, and the rumors that they are dating. They were apparently leaving flirty messages on each other’s social media. It seemed sort of out of left field, but I would also imagine that they probably have mutual friends. I also remember watching Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler’s reality show – Meet the Barkers – which predated Keeping Up with the Kardashians! God, that just sent me on a journey to read Shanna’s Wiki page. Meet the Barkers had a lot of fun/dumb drama. Anyway, the point is that Kourtney and Travis have their own reality show histories and they have complicated relationships with exes and they’ve both lived and learned a lot. And now they’re officially together?
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are dating. Over the weekend, Kardashian, 41, and Barker, 45, enjoyed a trip to Palm Springs, California, where her mother Kris Jenner has a home. On Saturday, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians reality star and the Blink-182 drummer both shared poolside views of the residence’s backyard on their Instagram Story.
“They’re in Palm Springs together. They’ve been dating for about a month or two,” a source tells PEOPLE. “They’ve been friends for a long time but it’s turned romantic.”
“Travis has liked her for a while,” an insider shares.
A rep for Barker did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment. Barker shares stepdaughter Atiana, 21, daughter Alabama, 15, and son Landon, 17, with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler, whom he was married to from 2004-08. Meanwhile, Kardashian and her ex Scott Disick co-parent their three kids: sons Mason, 11, and Reign, 6, as well as 8-year-old daughter Penelope. Kardashian and Disick, 37, ended their nine-year relationship in July 2015.
Kardashian and Barker have known each other for years. In addition to living in the same Calabasas, California, community, Barker has previously made brief cameos on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
I seem to remember Travis saying some problematic stuff back in the day, but hopefully he’s grown up and matured and chilled out a lot. Honestly, I think these kinds of “adult love stories” are kind of nice. Two people in their 40s who have been friends for years finding a love connection. Kourtney’s past two boyfriends have been much younger than her, and I would assume that Travis has also got a list of younger exes too. Maybe they’re both in a place in their life where they just want to be with someone who remembers when Friends originally aired. Also: this could totally be a reality spinoff show for their new Hulu deal. Keeping Up with the Barkers?

Thankfully I have always known this. I remember breaking up with my HS boyfriend cuz I was like it’s just too hard dating you – like why’s it NOT EASY. Pretty sure I literally said, being together should be that much work.

I can’t imagine growing up on a Reality TV show, with Reality TV values. It just seems like a recipe for stunted development.
I want to like Travis, but I went on a journey through his kids’ (who are still minors) Instagrams and…. yikes. Big. big yikes. Maybe I have unrealistic expectations? If I had been flipping off my 300k Instagram followers left and right my dad would have shut down my Instagram account.
Whatever, I wish them well. They seem like a good match.
He was the drummer in Blink-182 for years and a long term punk. I doubt he really cares if his kids get a bit edgy.

@Millenial- After I read your comment I went and looked up the kid’s IG and I agree- Big YIKES! I have never wanted to cut a kid’s hair more, or give him a barrette to just get it out of his face, AND I had to go back and double-check the daughter’s age- she’s only 15? I’d have a really hard time not pulling some of those shots down that she has posted.
I feel I’m pretty liberal and laid-back with a “to each their own” attitude, but yowza the pics they post!
There is no way Travis Barker cares if his kids throw up a middle finger. I looked at their IGs and to me there is nothing shocking, it just looks like rich, bored, rather sheltered, young poseurs. Their dad may have been edgy once, they are almost twee.
These two have been good friends for a long time. I’m happy to see that they have moved forward and are happy together.
Did Kourtney and Scott have an on/off relationship? I’m wondering because they have an 11 year old son, but just ended their 9 year relationship.

He used to date Kim for a brief time back in 2006 I think. Also, it baffles me how people are keeping their dating lives going during a pandemic. We are in our second lockdown here and are living a “stay at home order” yet I see the teen boy neighbor of mine on his second girlfriend already. I don’t understand. Is no one afraid of this damn virus or…?
She seems like the most down to earth of the whole bunch – though I know that’s potentially not by much
I have a soft spot for him bc of the plane crash that he and Dj AM survived. Was just so horrific at the time and I thought he seemed to settle down a bit after that. More humble less hungry.
This seems like a logical pairing for them both.
But I lol’d at the mention of another reality show. Bc YES that makes this pairing even more appealing right? It “works” for the show. So who knows.
I kinda like this? She had her fun with some youger guys and now she got into a relationship with someone she was already friends with, around the same age too, seems mature and I like that.
He cares about kids a lot, that’s probably why she likes him. I’m ok with this working out.

It will probably be her storyline for their new reality show on Hulu. He’s done a reality show before so he’s perfect for the part lol plus he used to date Kim so they have that to talk about too lol…
