Star Magazine has the craziest story this week. It’s about this alleged battle (that doesn’t exist) between two three-and-a-half year old celebrity girls, Suri Cruise and Shiloh Jolie-Pitt. Every so often, some tabloid (or legitimate magazine) will run a “Shiloh v. Suri” piece, as if the two girls are even in each other’s orbits. I guess it’s because they were born around the same time, and because their parents are famous? Or is it because they both look like their little hell raisers, in totally different ways?
Anyway, I think Star was just using the “Suri v. Shiloh” thing because they wanted to show some cute new pictures of the two girls. Star ran the lipstick and kitten-heels photos for Suri, and Shiloh is shown in her recent outing in France, where she donned camouflage pants, a jaunty hat, a sword and a big gap in her teeth. If you couldn’t see where this is going, I’ll spell it out for you – the princess versus the tomboy. I would have skipped it, but some of this stuff is hysterical. Suri is too “dainty” (like father, like daughter) and Shiloh lost her front tooth playing football with her big brothers. Meanwhile, Empress Zahara was hosting a tea party and couldn’t be bothered with all of this nonsense:
SURI CRUISE: She’s only 3, but Suri is already a budding fashionista. Her indulgent parents let her choose her own outfits and do her own girly thing. As insider says: “Suri like frilly dresses and hates pants… she loves playing dress-up and sitting in front of a huge mirror, putting on Katie’s makeup. Suri has a huge closet, and she gets to pick out her own clothes every day. She loves high heels and she never wants to wear the same dress twice. One time Katie bought her cargo and Capri pants with matching vests and hats, but Suri said ‘NO!’ She wouldn’t put them on. Katie wouldn’t mind if Suri got dirty once in a while making mud pies… But Suri is too dainty for that.”
SHILOH JOLIE-PITT: Shiloh doesn’t have much time for dressing up – unless it’s like her hero of the moment, which is currently Robin Hood! An insider says: “Shiloh is encouraged to be who she wants, and right now she wants to be Robin Hood… she asked Brad for boxing gloves so she could punch Maddox and Pax better. She also climbs trees and wrestles! While Zahara plays with baby dolls and has tea parties with Pax and Vivienne, Shi recently lost a tooth playing football with Maddox and Pax. Pax knocked it out by accident, and Shiloh was stunned for a moment. But she didn’t even cry, even though there was blood in her mouth. After Angie cleaned her up, Shi went right back out and started playing again! She’s totally fearless.”

It’s cute, right? It could have gone to a sketchy place, but Star kept it cute. I love that Shiloh’s new hero is Robin Hood – she must have moved off of Peter Pan. Next up will probably be Zorro. I think it’s interesting that lately Suri seems to be wearing more pants – like these recent pictures of her in Boston with her mom. Suri has started layering tiered tunic or dresses over pants or leggings. It’s very cute, and it makes me believe that she really is dressing herself. What I don’t buy is that it’s Suri who says she won’t wear anything twice - that sounds like something Tom and Katie are saying because they know what a media hit Suri is, and they want to keep providing us with cute pictures.

They are both cute. I think what Shiloh wears very little to do with the way her parents live. They are always traveling , she has 3 brothers that are around her age, so she probably is always following them around and is hard to play with your brother with a dress. Plus look at all of her siblings they dress alike.

Adorable! But I’m not sure that I believe Suri refuses to wear the same thing twice. When my nieces were her age, they had one or two favorite outfits, and they would either wear one of them, or refuse to get dressed at all!
Note to parents: it makes us childless people very uncomfortable when we visit you and your kids are running around naked!

What I don’t understand is why these girls’ parents don’t try to pass some privacy laws in the US, like the ones they have in Europe making it against the law to publish photos of small children. I feel like they are all using their kids to keep themselves in the news.

I always have to laugh at the people hating on celebs who sell a photo of their child. You obviously do not understand the nature of the possarazzi.
The parents can take a picture in a controlled setting and give the money to charity, never let their children outside, hang the baby off a balcony, or let some stalker get paid.
For the amount of money even a poor shot would be worth, photogs would be trying to sneak up to their bedroom window.

Both those kids are cute and are very very different. Shilo I think has a normal kind of childhood ,rough tumble and getting dirty where Suri is not allowed to do those things most of the time she doesnt even use her own legs they carry her everywhere. All of these kids have their own personalities . I doubt very much if Brad and Angie will spend 3 million bucks on a kids wardrobe that is just nonesense.

These comparisons are silly and pointless. Both little girls are lovely. But unless Suri’s parents give her a sibling soon, I’m betting she is going to grow up totally spoiled and selfish. Shiloh used to depend on big sister Z to protect her when the boys got rough but it looks like she’s able to handle her own business now. Boxing gloves indeed!

What Suri’s parents put on her are $3,000 designer dresses. She looks cute but I’ve never seen her playing like any other child does. Shiloh wears her older siblings’s hand-me-downs. The kids all wear each other’s clothes. Seems eminently sensible when you have six very active children who are running around playing all day long.

the peter pan robin hood transition is a natural, since both characters basically wear the same outfit. my son had a peter pan costume when he was 3 and it totally doubled as robin. just replace sword with bow and arrow and you’re good to go.

Both are very cute little girls, as are ALL cutie pies their age. Suri is definately the girly-girl one for now, but I just have the feeling that Shiloh is going to be the real beauty later. Just comparing their features, Suri’s nose and mouth are going to be like Tom’s for me, while Shiloh – barely 3- already has some very harmonious features from eyes to mouth. Just my opinion though, let us see in 15 years

I’m sorry but Suri gets on my last nerve. She looks like a little brat that throws temper tantrums if she doesn’t get her way. She’s only 3 and she’s already got the “diva” attitude going. Her mother is no beauty and her father is one of the uglys. She has no cute features about her. At all. She was ugly as a baby and is ugly now. I can’t stand hearing about this spoiled rotten brat. Shiloh on the other hand is gorgeous! She’s a real child unlike Suri. She likes to get down and dirty and then go inside and play tea party. She has the best of both worlds. She’s treated like a normal child and therefor acts like a normal child. She’s gonna be a flawless beauty as she grows up.

Katie needs to quit letting Suri turn into a fashionista but she’s obviously letting her be a kid, and she’s easily the cute one, whereas Shiloh isn’t now and will grow up with Brad’s masculine features.
