Kate Beckinsale: ‘no threads no thread lift no Botox no laser no nose job no filler’

Last week, Kate Beckingsale turned up at the Cannes Film Festival to attend one of the big premieres and the annual amfAR gala (which is staged within the festival). I’m including photos of Kate from both appearances. Kate is 49 years old and she looks great for her age or any age. Her skin looks amazing, her figure is to die for and she looks like a woman who spends a lot of time, money and effort into maintaining her appearance. All of that is fine – different strokes for different folks, etc. What I find remarkable is how Kate is consistently indignant at the suggestion that her maintenance might not be all-natural, that’s had some good-quality cosmetic work over the years. Two years ago, Kate swore up and down that she hasn’t had any work done and she “wouldn’t even get a facial” because she’s terrified of something going wrong if she gets Botox or some kind of cosmetic surgery. Sure. Well, Kate is at it again.

While Kate Beckinsale wowed on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet last week in a bedazzled sheer romper with a dramatic train, her outfit wasn’t the only thing attracting attention on social media. The 49-year-old — who rocked the Zuhair Murad Couture ensemble at the “The Pot-au-Feu” premiere on May 24 — attracted quite a few haters on her Instagram post from the glam evening, with many accusing her of getting plastic surgery.

“please tell me you had a facelift because it’s not possible to be this gorgeous at 50,” one fan commented, prompting Beckinsale to respond to the Instagram user (along with several others) to defend her youthful looks.

“no threads no thread lift no Botox no laser no nose job no filler,” the “Serendipity” actress wrote. She continued by explaining she does get “facials with prp to boost collagen and micro current for skin tightening and oxygen,” adding, “I probably would try laser but I’m a bit scared . Haven’t so far.”

Her comment seemingly prompted another fan to write, “Lol why do Celebrities have to deny their face procedures? Just dont lie about it ..she still looks great!”

Beckinsale — who said in 2021 she doesn’t think about aging “that much” — clapped back, “I haven’t had a facelift or filler or Botox. I’m not lying and I don’t have to accept people accusing me of things I haven’t done.”

She continued her commenting spree by telling another Instagram user who asked, “whatever happened to aging naturally..so sad” that she has “no filler” and “don’t be sad for me. X.”

Further down in the “Underworld” actress’ comments section, Beckinsale replied to another remark accusing her of getting “botox and fillers,” revealing that she has a medical condition that keeps her from wanting to do so.

“I actually can’t I have a condition called mast cell activation syndrome which is actually a massive daily struggle and means I react to hundreds of things badly,” she wrote. “Can’t take the risk.”

[From Page Six]

“Actually, I have a rare condition which makes it impossible for me to get Botox or fillers” is kind of hilarious given, you know, her face. Again, Kate looks amazing. She could pass for a woman in her early 30s. She’s beautiful and she takes care of herself. But she’s absolutely gotten some stuff done to her face over the years. Maybe it’s not the Courteney Cox Special, maybe it’s not technically “Botox,” but seriously, this is not the face of a woman who has aged completely naturally for decades.

What are we to do with this info, should we throw a parade for her?

  2. original_kellybean says:

“Sure, Jan.” We have all seen her pics of when she was younger. Do they think we are all blind? Or just stupid?

    • JP says:

Maybe she hasn’t had any procedures recently, but she definitely has had work done over the years. Look at her in Much Ado About Nothing. She barely looks like the same person by the time she was in Underworld.

    • bananapanda says:

She’s morphed into Kylie Minogue – that’s what I see in these pictures.

    • YAS says:

So as someone who has mast cell activation syndrome, she is correct. It’s a huge daily struggle. It’s really difficult to navigate on a daily basis, but it’s also an extremely heterogeneous condition and I know people who have MCAS who have to get Botox to control their migraines. Others who react really badly to Botox and anesthesia, etc.

      • Hmm says:

I have mast cell and get Botox! But react terribly to a lot of foods and I recently discovered egg freezing meds

    • BothSidesNow says:

Even with the throwback picture that she posted I which she praised Reeves and the other fellow for her malfunctioning undergarments, her nose was completely different in that one picture. On top of the fact that it was grainy and you could still tell it’s not her current nose. Me thinks that KB is trenching the truth……🤥

  3. HeyKay says:

Can she not get hired to work as an actress any longer?
When is the last time she talked about a role she has coming up?

The list of celebs in her age group is long.
Many as talented or more so.
Is she just going to chat about her looks forever? Boring!

    • Mrs.Krabapple says:

Isn’t she one of those actresses who always got work through her husband/significant other (like Kate Bosworth and others)? My guess is, no, she CANNOT get work.

  4. Charlie says:

So her teeth magically straightened out and became a perfect set of veneers? Sure…

  5. Justpassingby says:

Her nose, her teeth, the shape of her mouth, her skin color, where her eyebrows sit on her face: She looked like a totally different person 25 years ago: https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/7661182/kate-beckinsale-transformation-jack-whitehall/

    • Mash says:

Re: Skin color – that picture from ’97 is clearly pasty makeup. Everything else I agree.

    • Erin says:

Yeah, there is no way. She looks like she’s gotten work done exactly like a ton of other women in Hollywood. We’ve all seen enough work at this point to spot it. Her top lip showed her gums when she smiled and now you don’t see them and when she smiles the lip doesn’t get any thinner like her old top lip and like most top lips do when you smile. It’s super plump and almost looks like it’s gonna burst. I’ve seen her talk and she has had lip fillers, there is no way that her lips naturally aged into looking exactly like everyone who’s gotten lip filler. This makes me really dislike her because this is such a stupid thing to lie about at this point.

  6. Kitten says:

Sigh. It’s just f*cking insulting at this stage to the point where I wish journos would just stop asking actresses about PS because it just results in cringey lies.

And TBF, Kate has the kind of face–great skin, delicate features and thin, small face–that was always going to age well. But there are NO lines on her forehead. She also has basically no excess skin. She’s had stuff done–maybe nothing major–but at least some injectables. JS.

  7. SarahCS says:

And yet her forehead doesn’t appear to move irrespective of what’s happening on the rest of her face? Ok, sure.

    • DeeSea says:

@SarahCS I am in no way defending Kate Beckinsale because I 100% believe that she’s lying here. But I wanted to say that some people’s foreheads don’t move. I am one of those people. I’ve never been able to make any movement happen in my forehead no matter how hard I try. I’m in my mid-50s and my forehead is completely smooth and line-free. I know I’m lucky in that one way. I wish I could say the same for the rest of my face, jawline, and neck. I do get Botox in other parts of my face, but never in my forehead. My Botox person confirmed that some people’s foreheads just… naturally don’t move.

      • Demona says:

Mine too. It’s smooth and tight, no wrinkles but also no expression beyond a slightly arched eyebrow. No crows feet when not smiling and im 44. My problem is sagging by the chin/jowls now.

If she is claiming no “botox” or “fillers” just remember it could be Dysport or fat grafts. It could be a lip flip. Cheek implants, etc. JLo is also very careful when she claims no Botox. There are so many procedures that are not common knowledge

I’ve done the microneedling with RF and it does work well. I just can’t afford to do it at the rate they can. Also I didn’t start until last year so it’s possible to not have wrinkles or lines into your 40s.

I know I’m presenting for both sides here, but that’s because I don’t know for sure what she has or hasn’t done, just trying to let people know what’s possible.

  8. Tiffany says:

Kate has lost a ton of weight since her debut. That can make a difference in the face as well, but come on Kate, we all have eyes.

  9. Red says:

Can we stop lying by saying celebrities look younger than they actually are, just because they look great? She could not pass for a woman in her early 30’s. She looks her age, she looks great, and she certainly looks like she has had stuff done. None of that is an issue.

    • JP says:

I know!!! I wish we would stop acting like women looking younger than their age is a virtue.

      • Shim says:

For the nay sayers, I’m her age, and can easily pass for mid 30’s, no cosmetic work. It’s literally all the little choices in life, from eating/hydrating right, to sunblock, and big hats in the sun.

  10. Lens says:

I’m beginning to hate them all for this. All this denial when would anybody shame them this day and age when they are actors who make their living on their looks? More people would want to hear exactly what they did and be grateful for the information. Or is that just me? Kate B has been acting since she was very young. Look at her pictures now and put them side by side from her pictures from say broke down palace and now and tell me she hasnt ever gotten work done.

    • SquiddusMaximus says:

It’s all wordplay at this point. Whether she’s paying $3k/month for injectables or $3k/month on other types of skincare, she still doesn’t look the same as she would if she hadn’t been able to afford all those treatments. The same is true of the slew of men who have changed remarkably since their start — Chris Evans, Tom Cruise, Tom Hardy, Ronaldo — but don’t lump veneers, lasers, lights, peels, and such into “work.”

My problem with this evasiveness is that it sets unrealistic expectations for real women in the real world, with jobs that don’t afford prioritizing beauty. I dated a guy once who was angry at me for not looking like Rachel McAdams. That really fecked me up.

      • Deering24 says:

“I dated a guy once who was angry at me for not looking like Rachel McAdams.”

Whoa–talk about demented. Why would he think you would look like her? What a nuthead… Sorry you went through that…:(

  11. Sandra says:

Bizarre to claim MCAS at this stage in the game and smells like MORE hot B.S. to add on top.

  12. Renee' says:

No creases or lines on the forehead are a dead giveaway. But alas…if she feels the need to deny it…whatever. It’s her life.

    • Justpassingy says:

Her only wrinkles are at the lower outside bottom corners of her eyes. Those are the only wrinkles that can’t be fixed by botox…

  13. Twin Falls says:

A PRP facial includes either micro needling or injecting the platelets. Just because she’s “scared of lasers” doesn’t negate the fact that she is having shit done to her skin to improve its appearance. Whether it’s chemical peels, laser, injectables or surgery, they are all done with the same goal – preventing signs of aging – sagging, wrinkles, discoloration.
I like Kate in a lot of ways but both she and Martha Stewart can go away with this oh it’s just the way I naturally look nonsense.

    • Lurker 25 says:

PRP is usually both – deep micro needling to open “channels” into which the prp (platelet rich plasma extracted from your own body) is injected.

I’ve had it done twice to improve severe acne scarring and it was pretty amazing. Ice pick scars and boxcar scars are softer, less “crater” like. I did only two sessions so my skin still looks pretty pockmarked but if I could keep it up with 2x/year or moren like she definitely does, fabulous skin is very doable. It simulates collagen, so not only does it help soften scars, it helps with sagging wrinkles etc.

If she responds incredibly well to PRP and gets it done say 6x year, it’s possible that she doesn’t get Botox or fillers. That’s a lot of contoured makeup on her so it’s hard to tell.

She def got teeth and eyes fixed. She used to have very deep set hooded eyes. Makeup can’t change that.

  14. elle says:

If by “amazing” we mean “causing great surprise and wonder” instead of “great,” I can get behind the statement that she looks amazing. Because when I look at this person, I wonder who I’m looking at and am surprised when I’m told it’s Kate Beckinsale.

  15. Melissa says:

Nope, not buying it…because I have the same mast cell disorder. It does not create pleasingly plump cheeks and eyelids. It causes random portions of your face to swell, yes, but more in a cartoony way. Like 1/4 of your lips swell, and the top left quadrant looks like it has filler, while the other 3/4 don’t.

And after a few hours, that swelling moves on to the next quadrant, or resolves.

Same with eyes. One of my kids will swell. But only the inside corner.

The only time my lips swelled all together? They didn’t have the fresh from the spa look, they looked like the “This is anaphylaxis” photo in the medical textbook.

  16. AnneL says:

She did say she’s had some stuff done but won’t do certain things. I don’t know enough about any of the these procedures to be able to tell whether she’s full of BS or not. Maybe she’s able to find some combination of products and procedures that aren’t too invasive that work for her? Or is that just impossible, lol?

Well, she looks beautiful. She always did. I kind of preferred her when she had a couple of imperfections, honestly. She was so pretty and funny in “Last Days of Disco” and looked insanely gorgeous in “Much Ado About Nothing.” I’d like to see her in another acting project!

  17. Shawna says:

The list just makes me want to figure out what wasn’t on the list.

  18. Lemons says:

Maybe she’s just getting a ton of peels and facials?…But the forehead is just so smooth…

  19. lucy2 says:

I think she’s definitely done some stuff, but not as much as some people think she has.
She often posts her mom on her instagram, and she looks fabulous, it’s probably a combo of good genes and a good dermotologist.

  20. Blue Nails Betty says:

I just want to know why her hair stylist hates her. What does the stylist want us to know that they would do her hair dirty like that?

  21. Abby says:

I think Kate is a stunningly beautiful woman. She is goals. But there’s no question to me that she makes effort to stay fit and take care of her skin–and that probably includes some treatments. I wish people wouldn’t ask her about it all the time–the only man I know of who gets asked stuff like that is the vampire Paul Rudd–but I would also like to know so I can take notes and do some of whatever she’s doing!

Her mom has aged very well too, so I’m sure genetics are at play. I don’t think she looks in her early 30s, but as a 39-year-old myself I’d say she looks MAYBE 40, from photos and videos I’ve seen of her

  22. Eggbert says:

She must be on that magical Japanese potato diet

  23. Aimee says:

I just pulled up a pic from the movie Cold Comfort Farm. That is not the same face.

    • DeeSea says:

@Aimee I loved that movie. I haven’t seen it in years, and I wonder if it still holds up. “I saw something nasty in the woodshed!”

    • BeanieBean says:

I loved that movie, too! ‘Cold Comfort Farm’, said in a dolorous tone. Cracks me up.

  24. Rebebe says:

I know someone who worked on the most recent Underworld movie (whichever one that was). She left the set in Europe for a weekend to go to London and came back with a fully filled face and extremely tight forehead that everyone noticed and was especially obvious on camera.

  25. Ameerah M says:

She had her lips done years ago. All one has to do is look at her in films when she was in her 20s and 30s to know that.

  26. AmyB says:

She has some fine lines around her eyes but none on her forehead?

    Sure, Jan.

I really wish celebrities would stop lying about this stuff or playing with the wording. It’s old already. If you don’t want to admit to it, just say no comment. Why do they have to pretend they are all-natural when clearly they are not? See – the Kardashians lol

  27. RoxyRoller says:

As a nurse injector for over a decade I can tell you for a fact this woman has cheek and lip filler, Botox, as well as a handful of laser procedures on her face. She’s also had a nose job, boob job and lipo. I hate when celebs lie about their cosmetic enhancments. You didn’t wake up like that Kate, so cut the BS.

  28. j.ferber says:

She’s lying. She’s lying her ass off. You had a lot of stuff done, Kate!

  29. Miss Melissa says:

    1) Baloney
    2) She gets younger and younger every decade.

Back in the 90s, when she was in the Shakespeare movie with Branagh, she and I were the same age.

When she hit her 40s, suddenly she was two years younger.

    Now she is 49?

    She is over 50.

  30. Maria says:

As many other commenters have said, Ppr facials involve extracting your own blood and micro needling it in your face

Presumably the first effect is a fuller face

A very aggressive and invasive esthetic treatment if you ask me

Celebs like Jlo saying their faces are the result of sunscreen and hydration when in secret they get very radical esthetic treatments is in a effect a way of lying in my opinion. I seem to recall that Jlo had two appointments with her dermatologist in one week right before the launch of her beauty line.

    • RoxyRoller says:

PRP treatments do not create fullness in the face. The purpose of PRP is collegen production which results in firmer looking skin. Only fillers can replace lost volume in the face. PRP and fillers are often used together for best case results.

  31. Elsa says:

I really liked her and then abruptly changed my mind. She was really snarky or something in an interview when she was first getting famous. I wish I could remember what it was! But I came away thinking that she was not a very nice person.
