Chrisitian Louboutin is “flattered” by Jennifer Lopez’s song

lopex-cover-art

Jennifer Lopez has been bring a lot of joy to a lot of people lately. And I mean me. You see, Jennifer has gotten it into her head that the music industry needs her desperately. That they need her to return and churn out decadent, screeching odes to materialism. Thus, Jennifer provided them (and us) with the trashtastic “Louboutins”. This song is so terrible. And it didn’t help any when Jennifer Lopez debuted the damn thing at the AMAs by crashing on her ass. Although it did give us some chuckles. After that, Jennifer doucle-downed on the terrible with some Jell-O looking cover art. Anyway, some people made remarks like “And Monolo Blahnik gave a huge sigh of relief” and “What does Christian Louboutin really think about this mess?” Well, People Magazine asked Mr. Louboutin what he thought, and it turns out he’s “flattered”. Seriously?

Despite seeing his elaborate heels on the feet of countless celebrities, Christian Louboutin’s icon status reached all new heights with the release of Jennifer Lopez’s new song, “Louboutins” from her upcoming Love? album.

At the recent opening of his Miami boutique, Fashion Week Daily asked the French designer for his take on the single: “Jennifer told me about the song back in January, and I was extremely flattered,” he said.

“But of course, in America the public pronounces my name in like a million different ways. So Jennifer called me, and she was like, ‘Listen, I want to make sure that I get it right.’ And she did…from the very first time!”

According Louboutin, who claims to already know the song by heart, Lopez mentions his name 45 times (“Trust me, I’ve counted!”) in the three-plus-minute dance track. We can’t wait to see what comes next in the Louboutin-J. Lo love fest: the stiletto master is hard at work creating shoes for the eponymous music video, set to film next month.

[From People Magazine]

Well, he’s being polite, right? I mean, he can’t say “Oh, my God, that song is hideous. I hope Jennifer forgets she ever heard the name Louboutin.” Although that’s what he should say. From here on out, I think Jennifer should choose brands to sing about. I can’t wait for “Timex” to be released. After that it will be “K-Mart’s Martha Stewart Collection”.

Just one last little note: I was looking for any available image of Christian Louboutin, so I googled images of him, and all I got was this (for an actual photo of the guy, go back to People). Endless photos of his beautiful shoes. Damn… they are works of art. I want!

Once again, here’s the terrible song:

    I smell a collaboration. J-Louboutins!

  2. TaylorB says:

I am guessing he hasn’t actually heard that stupid song, or he is tone deaf.

  3. anna says:

    Are you kidding?

  4. mila says:

Those shoes deserve a better song

  5. e says:

not that I can afford them but now I will be sure to NEVER buy a pair of his shoes.

  6. juiceinla says:

“decadent, screeching odes to materialism. ”

Off with her head, don’t let her eat cake.

What a fricking insensitive topic to sing about given the state of the economy both State-side and World-wide.

J-ho is irrelevant. Shame on Christian.

  7. Firestarter says:

I was hoping that Louboutin had more taste than that. I guess she will be getting a giant shipment of free shoes now! BITCH!

Yeah, I am jealous, if she does!

  8. juiceinla says:

I take back my dig at Louboutain- Doesn’t it look like louboutain only admits he knew of and was flattered by the existence of the song? The quote is from last January.

I doubt he has ever heard the song, but I bet Jenny from the Block made it a point to tell him about the song, early on to try and score new shoes.

  9. oh hey says:

J-Lo really should have matured musically. Singing a song about shoes that the average chick “from the block” couldn’t afford is suited more for a 20-something “singer.”

  10. milda says:

This song makes my ear bleed…

  11. hannah says:

This song really is mediocre at best. Its just so lack luster, which is ironic as the shoes are so fantastic.

  12. sonny says:

the whole time i thought she was saying LOUIS VUITTONS!!!!!!!!

  13. Sumodo says:

    @sonny—You rock! That was funny!

  14. Baho says:

That song will probably do well in the Gay bars…

And “flattered”? is that how the beautiful people are saying “barfing up my spleen,” nowadays?

  15. Bete says:

I’m betting her crappy single puts more pressure on the designer, who, in his private time is rolling his eyes asking himself ‘why couldn’t it just be an Oprah segment,’ followed by, ‘when will this pitiful excuse for a song die?’

  16. cuppycake says:

*shudder* Let’s forget this song was ever recorded, yeah?

  17. TwinkleToes says:

The latest thing in this economy is getting a mold of your foot and then shipping to Italy with your specifications. For about $250. Screw him and Jimmy Choo who is actually a British woman using his name and Manohlo sold the business years ago. Just get your own shoes made.

  18. SolitaryAngel says:

See, that’s what I’M saying–how the fuck am I supposed to get excited or even lacklusterly enthused about a song which is totally about shoes that most of us in the country (not including the world!) could NEVER afford to buy? The cost of a pair of those shoes could feed my family for months! Or pay my rent. I’m just thankful to be able to have a place to pay rent FOR–so many don’t. If this worthless waste of space actually thought up something worthy–like “Jenny’s shoes for poor kids on the block” I could see trying to get behind this. Her money, ego, lack of talent, and supreme belief in the odorlessness of her own excrement make me sick. Plus I couldn’t get through enough of that “video” to even be able to make fun of it, but hey Jello–thanks for the ear-bleed anyway.

  19. ViktoryGin says:

I think he’s feigning goodwill so that he can laugh all the way to a Swiss bank.

And does he not know how to pronounce his own name?! Maybe he was like..yeah…it’s right for speakers of American English, because her “oo” vowel on the second syllable is lax.

  20. Guest says:

we’ll always have the amas. ha.

  21. alex says:

she didn’t pronounce right louboutin! that’s what makes me so sure that christian hasn’t heard the song,,,any french can tell you that she did a horrible pronunciation,, when i first heard the song i didn’t knew she was talking about christian louboutin

    and here’s the proof! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aUKhgCHIDY

  22. Pickelhaube says:

I don’t even see what’s so special about these shoes…I’ve seen similar styles at Ross/TJ Maxx/etc, for like 20 bucks! Hell, i saw the CUTEST shoes at freakin Gabriel Bros in Beckley WV and they were only $9, but they were way better than anything this guy has made!

Who cares what stupid name is on some dumb high heels? The ONLY reason people like them and gush over them is because all the celebs wear them. It’s just another ploy to sell overpriced, poorly made crap to suckers who think some label on these made in China pieces of crap makes them “better” than the less prestigiously labeled brands. And it’s not like I couldn’t afford them, but why on Earth would I buy one pair of shoes when I could spend the same and buy 10 pairs that are exactly the same? Jesus, people, stupid crap like this is what got us IN this mess! And shame on J-Ho for this crap as well. Narcissistic, vapid, materialistic c*nt!

  23. ViktoryGin says:

    Thank you, Alex!

  24. fizXgirl314 says:

yeah thank you alex, for making me waste my lunch hour… the link lead me to other louboutin vidoes, then to various shoes of posh and her poor tortured feet (her feet must have done something really bad to her at some point and now she’s just choking the life out of them slowly… )

then that led me to various levels of high heeled shoe nonesense, and then women walking on treadmills with fetish shoes and horny men making disgusting comments about how “sexy” (eyeroll) they looked with their feet on the brink of collapse… which lead me to a conclusion that I seem to come to quite often these days…

    men are pigs :/

  25. Larissa says:

this is the worse song I´ve heard in a 1000 years! lol

  26. diva says:

It’s too bad he doesn’t realize this associations cheapens the brand. Now that his brand appears common, he will have a new problem of people in the hood making fake Louboutins before long. When rappers made Louis Vouiton famous in their videos then the market was flooded with imitations and they lost millions.

  27. diva says:

I just saw in one of my fashion magazines that what JLo has on is a Stella McCartney jumpsuit. I notice Stella is keeping quiet about letting it be known that JLo is wearing her clothes on the cover. I hate to say it, but Stella misses the mark sometimes.

  28. erika says:

I’m sorry but I have to defend Jennifer Lopez on this one…
She did fall down during her AMA performance, but she rose back up and continued as a true artist should. Not only that, she reenacted the whole performance at the ellen show and did great! She is extremely talented!! For years she has showcased her incredible dancing, business, and acting skills. I am sorry but she is a multi-millionar for a reason. Whatever you might say or think she seems like an honest, beautiful, smart, and kind person. Always tried to be kind to her fans including leaving outrageous tips to hotel staff, waiters, and donating to non-profits. My personal opinion is that this song has a great beat to it, she performs it great, it is a club song. Yes it is materialistic but a club song doesn’t need to have an intense message to it. I’m sure her album will have a little bit of everything. People really need to give her a break…

I noticed some one mentioning that she looks fat? (Jell-o??) That’s hilarious when people glorify Paris Hilton and anorexic looking girls who starve themselves it makes me sick to my stomach. This is a true disease…and to me its not beautiful to see bones popping out every inch of a woman’s body. True female beauty comes with curves, and to me Jennifer Lopez embodies true beauty. Her curves, rocking abs, no fake books!, and beautiful face.

  30. Brian says:

Why does everyone have to be so damn negative? I would like to see a lot of people be in J.lo position. It’s funny how critics are so mean when yet they have never been in the shoes of the people they are criticizing.

  31. Mark says:

@comment 26 – they have been faking Louboutins for years, way before J-Lo even had the notion to sing about them, moron.

  32. It is quite useful. Thanks very much for sharing.

  33. I really like your website, I also know a good standing hope to share with youhttp://www.dmchristianlouboutin.com

  34. XinXin says:

I was drawn to the power of the African American religious tradition to spur social change. Out of necessity, the black church had to minister to the whole person. Out of necessity, the black church rarely had the luxury of separating individual salvation from collective salvation. It had to serve as the center of the community’s political, economic, and social as well as spiritual life; it understood in an intimate way the biblical call to feed the hungry and clothe the naked and challenge powers and principalities. In the history of these struggles, I was able to see faith as more than just a comfort to the weary or a hedge against death; rather, it was an active, palpable agent in the world.

  35. Great post as usual – here is a little something that made me smile 🙂
Criminal Lawyer is a redundancy. 🙂

  36. That is quite wonderful, I like it.

  37. Gina says:

I sometimes wonder if this untalented mess actually has a brain in that wigged head. It wasn’t enough that people keeled over laughing with the line “don’t be fooled by the rocks that I got, I’m still I’m still Jenny from the block…” Now she adds insult to injury with another song about what she has? It kills me that she’s so clueless. Does she stay away from computers and T.V.? Does she not realize that the majority of people don’t think she’s talented or that she can sing? Oh and don’t hold your breath with her singing about Timex or Walmart…that just wouldn’t mesh with the image she likes to portray. she can’t let anyone think that her and Skeletor would actually wear a Timex…bite your tongue. And as to Louboutin, even bad publicity is still publicity.
