DM: Prince William is ‘bereaved’ about his brother’s ‘devastating defection’

There’s been a palpable sense of panic among Prince William and Kate’s political base, the sycophantic royal reporters who feel their only job is propping up an angry egg and his bewigleted wife. Maybe I’m being generous, but I do believe that there are some royal reporters who genuinely understand that the events of the past month have irreparably altered the Windsors’ standing and public trust. But as we’ve seen time and time again, these people are short-sighted and unimaginative – they can’t see that there’s money to be made from doing honest coverage of the monarchy’s death rattle. So instead, they trudge along, writing their sympathetic “Poor Prince Huevo” pieces. Becky English had a doozy, published on Wednesday: “What William really thinks about the Kate conspiracy theories. And why it’s been so heartbreaking for him to see her reputation trashed in the same way as Diana’s.” Can someone tell William that his own mismanagement and tone-deaf messaging has done the most damage to his wife’s reputation?

William has had such a difficult four years: All this against the backdrop of a series of devastating losses, beginning with the death of the Duke of Edinburgh in 2021 (always a tower of strength for the princess, to whom he frequently wrote fond letters, as well as William) and then his irreplaceable grandmother and sounding board, Queen Elizabeth, the following year.

The grief of exiling a brother who refused to divorce his wife on William’s orders: There has been grief, too – well, at least a form of it – at the devastating defection of Prince Harry, whose almost primeval need to snipe, strike and rile his brother and sister-in-law, to whom he was once so close, has been one of the most devastating sucker punches of them all. Sure, William’s heart has been hardened and his resolve reaffirmed when it comes to his sibling, particularly after his disloyalty to Catherine in his bile-fest of a memoir, Spare. But it is important not to underestimate, friends tell me, just how much of a form of bereavement it has been.

The weight of the world on his hunched shoulders: But having covered the Royal Family for so long you do get to pick up the signs, and it was clear that William was also a man with the weight of the world on his shoulders. I know he is angry, frustrated and, yes, deeply disappointed, at what has transpired over recent weeks. ‘When will it all stop?’ he is said to have asked. William has worked hard over the years to ring-fence his family and protect them from the worst excesses of public scrutiny. While he doesn’t have an easy relationship with the British media, he has learnt to work with us professionally – and has, rightly, been afforded unprecedented privacy for a publicly funded national figure.

William always hoped to control all of the media: William has now learnt the hard way that this degree of control does not extend to the sump of social media – let alone foreign publications and even prime-time US television – which are simply not subject to a fraction of the same regulation as news outlets here. Most worrying for the prince and his team is the way that the worst sniggering excesses of internet trollism have broken through the barrier and appear to now be controlling a particularly spiteful form of public discourse.

William’s own-goals: Of course, there have been a few own-goals on the way. I’ve been clear in my view that Kensington Palace were desperately naive in thinking one of the most famous – and, let us not forget, much-loved – women in the world could disappear from public view for three months and people not talk about it. Do we have a right to know what’s been wrong with the Princess of Wales? Absolutely not. But might it not have been prudent to consider a slightly more informative approach in order to fill the vacuum that is now, inevitably, overflowing with rumour, conspiracy and bile?

An even more insular Huevo: The trouble is that approach doesn’t come naturally to William – who, insiders fear, will become ‘even more insular’ as a result of his wife’s experience. And after events of recent days, you can honestly sympathise. It’s also worth noting that while everyone hopes and prays for the King’s successful recovery (and from what I hear, currently, his spirits are excellent), Charles’s cancer diagnosis is a gnawing reminder for his son and heir of what is coming down the line, possibly faster than he ever feared. That’s a huge burden for William not just as a man, but also a husband and father of three young children, to bear.

Allow their actions to do the talking: For now the prince and his team are not minded to publicly react to what they describe as ‘the madness’, and feel their actions should do the talking. That said, I’m told they have not entirely ruled out making some kind of public statement in the coming weeks, ahead of Catherine’s return to public duties. There is much William would like to say. It has been tough for him to stand by and see his wife’s reputation shredded by the court of public opinion in the way his late mother’s once was.

[From The Daily Mail]

Stop for a second and really think about how f–king bizarre all of this is. William is not a one-man royal office. He has a staff of dozens, if not hundreds at his disposal. He has a brand new private secretary from the diplomatic corps and access to the top Tory spinmasters. He also has an eager, sycophantic press corps openly telling him what they want from him and what he should do to simply change the narrative. He’s either too stupid, too stubborn or hidden option C to actually do the things he needs to do to get through this. Release the original Mother’s Day photos, release a clear, unedited photo or video of Kate, have Kate release a real message of thanks for all of the care and support she’s gotten, actually respect the British public enough to communicate with them directly in some way. Instead, he wants to whine, dither and throw a tantrum about how he still hates his brother and he’s mad that people actually want to know if his wife is alive. BTW, hidden option C is that William can’t do any of the things the media wants him to do because Kate is refusing or she’s incapacitated. Who even knows?

I’m sure I’d be upset too if my fall guy decided to exit stage left! Grow up, Willy. 🙄

    • Carmen says:

      And what about Kate?

“… they have not entirely ruled out making some kind of public statement in the coming weeks, ahead of Catherine’s return to public duties.”

Coming weeks? Plural? Easter is in ten days. It sure sounds like they are saying Kate will be out of commission way past Easter. It’s interesting that not a single royal has either confirmed or denied those photos; it’s as if the photos don’t exist. I’m calling it now: she’s is really bad shape ( f she’s still alive) and William’s hands are far from clean.

      • Where'sMyTiara says:

I’ve been saying… since the London Clinic dramarama… she never left Sandringham after xmas, unless it was in that supposed ambulance convoy that scrambled from there at the end of December. If she left for an A&E, I reckon stabilized, they would have moved her back to Sandringham.

Why would Cluck lodge at Sandringham, when CH is his cozy bolthole in London, right near the treatment hospital, and no one bothers him there?

Because they have to *hide* Huesa’s condition, and Sandringham is the closest not-Crown property of any size to hide her in. And he keeps going there, to keep an eye on things. To keep an eye on her, whatever her stage of convalescence is truly at.

When KP was doing their nut, BP offered London Clinic “prostate” distraction. Cluck was probably in there for a workup and more cancer treatment. They didn’t disclose that until the crisis happened with Huesa (the day media, C&C, and H wore black), and then they announced Cluck’s dx to explain away the royal protocol “gaffe”. He went straight back to Sandringham – probably for an update on Huesa’s condition and oversee arrangements should she fail.

After things stabilized Cluck’s BP comms took over the narrative, redirecting it to Sandringham “for the holiday with the kids” – I suspect the kids were allowed to see her? And they set this up in case anyone papped them arriving or leaving.

KP (Huevo) went rogue again from about the time of Constantine’s memorial, and the press was saying she was in Windsor again. Now they’re talking about Easter at Sandringham. I think this is BP’s work as well, because they know they need to steer the narrative back to Sandringham, where she’s been all this time. Easter is usually observed by the family at Windsor. She’s probably too weak for that journey if they’re switching the location up.

      • K-Peace says:

I agree with you completely, Carmen. Everything that’s gone on—all these fake photos/videos of Kate, William’s bizarre behavior, him being on the outs with his family, Kensington Palace’s obvious lies and changing stories, their failure to just simply post a real new photo/video of Kate (which they WOULD if they could, to stop all this gossiping)…. It all points towards something very dark & sinster going on. I honestly can’t believe there are still people out there who believe Kensington Palace’s lies & bullshit. There was no “abdominal surgery”! Where the hell is Kate and what did William do to her?

      • Renae says:

@Where’smy tiara….you hit the nail on the head. I totally agree and it makes the most sense. It also covers why most of the family want nothing to do with Wee Willy right now. He’s being privately shunned (who knew the royal-family were secretly Amish?)
@K-Piece. Kate’s “injuries” could include abdominal injuries too so abdominal surgery is not out of the question. Problem for KP is any
facial damage would have been a problem to explain.
I noted that the list of Wills tribulations does not list Diana’s death at all and its glaring.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

Carman, I think she’s simply refusing to cooperate. She’s probably enjoying all of the attention and is not at all upset that it puts Billy Idle in the hot seat.

      • BeanieBean says:

Yeah, I’m going with Hidden Option C, please, for $500.

    • Anna M says:

If he’s missing Harry, he has a funny way of showing it. Jealousy, envy and insecurity is ugly. How quickly the tables turn! The shiny object that he desperately wanted is not attractive to him unless Harry has it, the spotlight!
Harry is the star that made him shine too and now that he’s gone, Will’s star diminished and he’s realizing that now

    • MoxyLady007 says:

The way they continually talk about William becoming king as though facing his own torture and execution is really something.

Especially when he was publicly taking swipes at his father about how he would have a more modern coronation and he would be a better king.

And especially ESPECIALLY when he was BORN into this role and knew his whole life that this would happen and had literally 40+ years to prepare for the job. Which mostly consists of being dim, meeting people and trying not to say anything publicly racist or sexist. The bar for that monarchy is so low it’s in a subterranean sewer.

    • Jane says:

He’s bereaved?? Prince Harry did not defect — he escaped from that toxic environment where bullying is a norm for Willy and his minions. Dysfunctional RF.

  2. Shawna says:

William is bereaved for a past life when Harry was his scapegoat and people considered him attractive.

“When will it all stop?” When you stop stepping on the rakes you put in your own garden.

    • Agnes says:

100%. This mess is all of HIS own making: he’s the baldy consumed with competitive hatred, he’s the baldy who threw his own wife under the bus, he’s the baldy in love only with his own slippers. It’s so nauseating how their (KP, RR) fallback position is always to WHINE about how tough Baldy has it. What a weak POS.

      • Anna M says:

The title should be that “the heir misses his brother and scapegoat that he drove out of the palace due to his shortsightedness and has nowhere to hide anymore, so his shortcomings are being exposed for the whole world to see, and he can’t stand it”.

      • Gabby says:

“in love only with his own slippers” killed me. Thank you Agnes.

      • Nuks says:

I’m in love with my slippers. Not ashamed.

    • ML says:

If KP reads the comments here, I would just like to let them know that this sounds terrible to someone who lives outside of Great Britain and does not want Trump to regain his old job.

William has now spent four (4!) years without his brother. His grandmother was ancient and his father is elderly. His brother left. What has he been up to these past few years? He can feel sorrow or whatever about Harry, but he needs to be able to function and know how to function without his brother by now. Or resign so someone better suited can take over.

Next, his mother spoke about her mental health and bulimia openly in the 90s. His father about his emotionally cold upbringing. His brother and sister-in-law spoke about their psychological struggles. His uncle just has as well. His father has been open about cancer and his prostate. William is willfully choosing to communicate about mental and physical illness in the same way his GRANDMOTHER did! Guess what? That no longer works.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

ML, they will always find a way to bring Harry into this (or Meghan and their children). First, because it’s clear that KP (and probably) BP doesn’t know what else to do. Secondly, the media will do everything they think of to try and make the Sussexes lives difficult because Harry is holding them to account.

What I found interesting was this, “William has now learnt the hard way that this degree of control does not extend to the sump of social media – let alone foreign publications and even prime-time US television – which are simply not subject to a fraction of the same regulation as news outlets here.”

The UK media have regulations? Seriously? Someone needs to publish them. The problem the UK media has is that the biggest portion of the global media do have journalistic standards and ethics. The sooner they accept that and course correct, the better off they will be. I doubt they will–they seem married to the idea of lying and smearing.

      • Jais says:

Harry is holding them to account. I mentioned this below but why not do it twice. Rebecca English the author of this article has been named in one of Harry’s court cases as invading people’s privacy through illegal means. Emails show her paying a private investigator to get info through illegal blagging. You can’t make this hypocritical shit up.

        https://bylineinvestigates.com/2020/05/27/mailbomb-daily-mail-dragged-into-murdochs-prince-harry-hacking-scandal-bw4pp/

      • Agreatreckoning says:

Thank you @Jais for the link. “DAILY MAIL Royal Editor Rebecca English has been accused of paying a private investigator to spy on Prince Harry’s former partner”

Becky English and her comrats* in arms seem to forget the bile they’ve spewed against a WOC that married into the BRF.

Just like they like to ignore William, FK, physically assaulting his brother. GFG /s

        *misspelling intentional

    • Anna M says:

Exactly! It will stop when he stops pushing his brother aside for the spotlight only to realize that his brother and SIL were the spotlight, that wherever they go, they glow!

  3. Eurydice says:

William: When will it all stop?
The World: When you stop being an ass.

    • Simba's Mom says:

      😂😂😂

    • Concern Fae says:

What I find fascinating is that all the social media conspiracies that have crossed my path have been very sympathetic to Kate, it’s William who’s under fire. The rota are flipping that narrative.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

Concern Fae, let’s see what happens when she reappears in blooming health (or almost blooming health). I think what gets lost by others is that the UK is in economic straits. Part of that is Brexit and the rest is the Tories. When you have people who have to wait so long to see a doctor and get a bed in the hospital it’s shameful. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. Murdoch and his ilk have been trying to do the same in the US.

What the brf do? They show their surfs that they have all of these privileges that are their right, without ever acknowledging how their experiences differ. Man, these people are something else.

    • Anna M says:

lol, also when he stops being a mean, ruthless, cold, vicious, vindictive, violent, aggressive brother to Harry.

      • Mary Pester says:

@ANNA M, but as Agnes so beautifully said “at least he loves his slippers 😂😂😂@agness, brilliant

      • Barb from SoCal says:

Firstly, CBers and Kaiser give me LOL moments everyday for which I am very appreciative!!

Secondly, I think the slippers comment refers to the “slippers” with an airplane embroidered on them that he wore to a Top Gun premiere and showed off to all the stars.

      • Agreatreckoning says:

The famous ‘vroom vroom velvet slippers’. The FK of England, making a point of pointing out his velveteen slippers with the airplane embroidery, at the Top Gun movie premier, will never not be funny.

    • Whyforthelove says:

Hahaha you guys this is a bit off topic but I just found a new eyeshadow stick and I was like what is this color I love it….the color is Incandescent. I am sure my next favorite color will be POW is an a$$ lol!!!

  4. Jk says:

Oh spare me the crocodile tears. Where he was for the last seven years when his brother and sil in law and his nephew and niece get slender in the press. Thet are not even getting what Sussex got in their prime. This is rota way of threatening William and palace to act because they cant control the social media. I’m a conspiracy theorist, I believe late queen killed diana, even for me that Kingston theory is so wild . Many tiktok influencers openly taking about willi killed him and Kate had abortion and Kate is refusing to cooperate because William forced kate into abortion of her love child. Many people believe this theory which is wild and some says that William made kate tie up her uterus from farther embarrassed and she is bedridden because of it and what’s why palace and William is lying etc. Its wild wild west on social media and all these rota are crying on x and begging people to be sympathetic lol. Karma is a bitch.

    • Eos says:

OMG! So grateful I’m not on TikTok. Wild indeed!

    • Anna M says:

Oh wow😮, that’s wild!. Come to think of it, what’s with the sudden death of that guy during this mess? Was he about to leak something to someone or did he already leak stuff including the story about the coma scenario Spanish press during one of his drunken escapades, and so they tied one of the lose ends & silenced him?

  5. Brassy Rebel says:

Becky English to the rest of the world: we are really salty here on Salt Isle that free speech exists and people are exercising their right to criticize this royal dumpster 🔥.

    • Becks1 says:

Right??? she’s like, damn that free press over in the US, they might break the story before we can properly control it!!!

    • Christine says:

Exactly! It’s rich that they are describing the invisible contract as stringent press regulations.

      • Couch Potato says:

So true! What’s worse is that quite a few readers will belive this. English and her co-rats wold’ve been raked over the coals constantly with the press regulation in my country. They would’ve been constantly reported for breaches of the press organisations own code of ethics. They really are a sinister imoral bunch.

      • Christine says:

Thankfully, another one of Harry’s lawsuits is ramping up, so the people with critical thinking skills will see the utter BS in this idiocy.

    • Jais says:

Wasn’t it revealed through one of the court cases that Becky English paid a private investigator to obtain private information about Harry? Her holier than thou judgments are laughable

      • Jais says:

Went and looked it up. It’s part of the daily mail case. Emails reveal that in 2006 Rebecca English worked with Duncan larcombe to invade Chelsy Davy’s flight plans through illegal means by hiring a private investigator. So English’s sanctimony about privacy is disingenuous and hypocritical. She’s guilty of it herself. There should really be a text at the bottom of every article that she writes that says English is currently being sued by Prince Harry as a part of the DM case. It’s beyond hypocritical. She’s a joke. Since she was working with larcombe of the sun I’m actually unclear whether this belongs to the DM case or the Sun case. So much scum.

        https://bylineinvestigates.com/2020/05/27/mailbomb-daily-mail-dragged-into-murdochs-prince-harry-hacking-scandal-bw4pp/

      • Unblinkered says:

Should she even be working as a Royal Correspondent given the ongoing court case against her for illegal intrusion into royal private lives. Surely this is proscribed by the UK Press Code of Ethics.

    • Agnes says:

I read somewhere yesterday the RR want to shut down Twitter for talking smack about Huevo.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

Agnes, oh, look at that. The rr’s think that the KFC can just chop off heads to get what he wants. The sooner all of these people recognize that the Empire died and course correct, the sooner this sh!tshow can be cleaned up.

      • BeanieBean says:

Sure, take on Elon Musk! That’ll be fun!! Just stocked up on popcorn for the month.

    • Karmaflower says:

Oh idk if she’s even able to have that much perspective with her head so far up W’s @$$.

What I want to know is why no one is talking about the bruises around his neck right after we found out KC’s cousin in law killed himself? Seriously large, visible bruising above his collar. He’s 1st in line to the British crown– shouldn’t there be an explanation at the very least that it wasn’t an assassination attempt? I don’t get this at all.

      • AC says:

LMAO-When they talked about shutting down Twitter. They wanted to be like China to shut down Twitter in the UK. Elon isn’t my favorite person but they want to Take on Elon Musk ..lolZ. You know how many people he employs in the UK 🙄
How about disabling some of the Daily Fail comments on the hate M gets.
        They are Hypocrites.

      • Where'sMyTiara says:

And how Tim Lawrence had what was it, a black eye? From… :checks notes: …. gardening?

In the same space of days? And wasn’t this all kicking off in Gloucestershire? They all have homes/boltholes out there.

    • Agreatreckoning says:

LOLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. The UK has such high regulations that they put to print Clarkson’s vile bile screed about Meghan and all their racist commentary at Meghan, that 72? members of Parliament willingly signed off on their dismay/disgust against.

Apparently, Becky English isn’t concerned about such things.

William is missing his scapegoat. I’m now of the belief that (actually believed it for quite sometime), William has been throwing Harry under the bus for more than a decade.

      • aftershocks says:

^^ Of course, this is the case. It’s well known that Harry was routinely thrown under the bus for youthful ruckus that both brothers were involved in, but for which only Harry was publicly outed.

There’s a whole freaking documentary (probably still on YouTube) from the early 2000s about ‘the young royals,’ in which a now retired female royal reporter explicitly states that Willy, as the heir, was sanitized, protected, and treated with white kid gloves, while Harry always took the rap in the tabloids.

In his memoir, Spare, Harry discusses some of this rabid treatment he endured.

      • aftershocks says:

To be fair, it was palace p.r. operatives who instituted the practice of throwing Harry to the wolves in the interest of protecting Willy. Unfortunately, this led to Willy becoming accustomed to Harry being the perennial scapegoat he could hide behind. Furthermore, the long term upshot is that Willy never learned from his mistakes and the rota has a ton of dirt they are holding on Willy and can use for leveraging purposes. 👀 🍿

Of course, the opposite is the case for Harry — he learned from his youthful transgressions, and the rota have nothing to hold over his head that hasn’t already been aired, whether true or made-up fiction.

  6. equality says:

Some people might say that PH “emigrated” or “resigned” or “came to a mutual decision to end employment”. It’s certainly a choice to use Soviet-style words like “defection” and a cult-like narrative about someone getting married and leaving a country and job. This article is all over PW about his poor PR and they are contributing to it. They are all control freaks and morons. Saying “foreign publications and even prime-time US television – which are simply not subject to a fraction of the same regulation as news outlets here” really sounds stupid when you seem to be running dictator style media where you are committed to someone’s propaganda and not to truth.

    • Shawna says:

All of this! An accurate characterization would be that Harry and Meghan had no choice but to resign after negotiations failed. (That’s still a generous way to put it, but it’s not strictly false.)

      • Lady Digby says:

I would argue that both were constructively dismissed because they were lives were made such a misery that to save the marriage and their mental health that they were obliged to leave UK and seek a safe home elsewhere.

    • Where'sMyTiara says:

“The foreign media keeps telling the truth – why won’t they lie for us?” Every single Rota rat and courtier in the UK…

They’re starting to realize I think, finally, how shrunken, salty, and small their “empire” now is.
Congrats, UK media bilge rats – this is what comes of slagging off the Commonwealth and Europe and every other foreign country. No one outside of their immediate borders cares about the Rota’s pwecious feelings, or the BRF’s feelings. They’re just a telenovela to us. So them whining about it is an absolute non-starter.

I wonder how much this will ramp up – the ranting and crying of the press – now that H and Hugh Grant’s case is now progressing in the courts again. Murdoch was named yesterday; so was Rebecca Brooks, and several other top henchmen. I wonder about how their feeling the pinch will manifest itself in royal coverage going forward. More attacks on Montecito, no doubt… but it would be interesting if the invisible contract succumbed to the dual pressures of Hazza’s suit on the one hand and Huevos’ unchecked rages and displays of inconsistent behaviour on the other.

    • Eurydice says:

I think “defection” could be right. Yes, Soviet era – but it evokes the image of a freedom-loving thinker escaping from a repressive and punitive regime.

      • Christine says:

        Yeah, that tracks accurately.

      • BeanieBean says:

Yes, defection is a choice while exile is imposed. Of the two, defection is way better.

      • equality says:

It could be right, but like I said, poor PR to put out and make yourself sound like a cult or dictatorship.

      • Agreatreckoning says:

At first, I was like ‘defect’, b$tch please. Thank you @Eurydice saying it in words that make sense. I’m on board with the Sussexes defecting to the USA and their beautiful home with a 11 million thousand bathrooms. And, a real live Jacaranda tree.

  7. Kokiri says:

I can imagine going from the Duke of Cambridge, with a degree of autonomy & someday be King, to Prince of Wales & one day to be King, to the King has cancer & is 76 & suddenly it’s soon to be King, could be quite dizzying.

If only he knew all this was coming & could have prepared for it, then maybe he wouldn’t be blundering about making an ass of himself, a mockery of the monarchy.

The only thing Willy misses is the lack of accountability he used to enjoy.

    • NotTheOne says:

This. But all he has been doing is pushing back on responsibility and stepping up while expecting ALL of the perks and recognition and privilege. He is rejecting the standard and replacing it with entitled AH.

      • Christine says:

All while endlessly leaking to the press how ready he is to be king, and the people should put pressure on Chuck to abdicate in favor of the fresh faced youth who is absolutely ready to be king!

This is my favorite part, watching this idiot pivot from keen global statesman to uh, what, where?!??

    • Eurydice says:

Not sure if you’re being sarcastic about “If only he knew…” He was born knowing what was coming. The only reason he’s unprepared is because he doesn’t like to prepare for anything. He’d be a blunderer no matter what level of society he was born into.

      • Kokiri says:

        Yes, it is sarcasm.

He’s the epitome of mediocre white man failing up, way way way up.

      • Jemmy says:

@ “Eurydice ” The only reason he’s unprepared is because he doesn’t like to prepare for anything” – I would add to that he has not prepared at all because he was told that Harry was his wingman , his scapegoat, the one beneath him but answerable to him – in fact his donkey.

He did not factor in the possibility that Harry was just as autonomous as far as being human like he is , that he would one day want to start a family or that Harry would ever have the guts to choose his wife and son over him. He really thought he had Harry in his pocket

It’s time for him to grow up.

      • windyriver says:

@Jemmy, agreed. I’d also add, I believe Will is truly mystified why he can copy what Harry does – launch initiatives, champion issues, etc. – but in his case, they fall flat every time. I’ve always believed he has no concept whatsoever of what it means to put in work on something the way Harry has, and that that’s what has made Harry’s projects successful. If you think about it, at what point during his school years, for example, all the way up through uni and beyond, do we think anyone would’ve taken the FFK to task if he screwed around, sloughed off, and didn’t complete assignments? Look at the air ambulance position, where he often failed to show up for shifts. No responsibility, just covered up. He copies Harry, doesn’t get the same response, and it makes him crazy. He thinks it should just happen for him, because he’s Will, the heir. Doesn’t get that in Harry’s case there’s substance behind the public persona. I’d throw Kate in here too. In 10+ years, no thought of learning any concrete skills to enhance her ability to do the “job”. To her, all she has to do is copy how Meghan or Diana dress, and their mantles of public acclaim will pass to her.

These are two grown a*s adults at this point. Kate always seemed to be happy as long as the cameras are turned her way and her picture is in the papers. As for Will, I think it’s too much effort at this point, and he has too little patience, to try and understand why things don’t go his way. Much easier to whine, complain and blame everyone else. And he’s still surrounded by sycophants who let him get away with it.

      • Eurydice says:

@windyriver – people have often said William lacks empathy or the capacity to love and I think this is also why his plans are failures and Harry’s are not. People work for two main reasons – they need the money and/or they love the work. William doesn’t need the money and, as Agnes said above. “he only loves his slippers.”

When William cares about something, he’ll do it – like when he managed to tear himself away from Kate’s bedside to attend the BAFTAs (slippers!). And he’s been incredibly focused and hard-working when it comes to hating Harry and Meghan. When he doesn’t care, he won’t do it – like when he didn’t show up to his godfather’s memorial, or like not following through on any of the projects he’s started. The list of things William doesn’t care about could fill volumes.

      • Agreatreckoning says:

With all the buffoonery going on with KP, there are 2 things I’m sure of.

        1. Harry & Meghan, were and are about substance. Action oriented.
        2. Will & Kate have always been about nonsense and rode Harry’s popularity/ coattails. Then, Meghan & Harry happened and they worked. They were (though, in my opinion, are) more popular than the WanK’s.

  8. Kat says:

    FAFO, Willy. 🤷‍♀️

If Evil Egg is “bereaved” about his brother’s “devastating defection”, perhaps he should’ve treated said brother a damn sight better than he did. Generally when you have a history of physically assaulting someone and have an active campaign against them and their spouse to split them up, deny them much needed security and destroy their lives — folks don’t take to kindly to that kind of abuse. Funny how that works, eh?

    • Where'sMyTiara says:

The only thing I believe Huevos Rageros is at all ‘bereaved’ about is the prospect of facing the consequences of his actions. His FA time is turning into FO time and he’s clearly not a fan.

  9. Afken says:

I’m sorry but is Harry supposed to have been more loyal to his sister in law than his own wife and children??? Are they forgetting the crying lie unleashed a wave of racial hostility towards Meghan while she was pregnant?? A lie that Kate acknowledged was a lie?! He’s supposed to do and say nothing for Kate’s sake?? And as for spare they conveniently forget all the books and articles that came out years before it was ever written. William spoke to an editor at the Times about his own brother for goodness sake. Battle of the brothers cited William’s own friends! That was before Spare, which was not a “bile-fest”. Bile is sending your friends to the daily beast to talk about how much you hate your brother and his wife.

    • Tessa says:

William is the one who is responsible to be loyal to Kate not harry.

    • Gabby says:

Speaking of the DB, aren’t we a bit overdue for the next Tom Sykes “I hate my brother” installment? You really want to keep those on schedule.

  10. Bereaved you say. Well he sure does have an evil racist way of showing his bereavement. He hates his brother and is incredibly jealous of his brother. He smears his brother every chance he gets.

    • Christine says:

I’m sure one of them has a “William fucking hates Harry” article already in the queue for next week.

    • Agreatreckoning says:

@Susan Collins, you just don’t understand. William is ‘bereaved’. He can not factually use Harry//H&M, as his scapegoats anymore!!!!! We should totally empathize with the predicament Will put himself in. /

  11. Tessa says:

Oh yes nothing like showing love for harry by assaulting him trying to keep him from marrying Meghan. Not going to birthday parties of Lily and Archie and authorizing knauf to file a fake report against Meghan. And he feels bereaved. Hypocrisy knows no bounds with peg.

  12. Boxy Lady says:

So many of William’s wounds are self-inflicted.

  13. Just Jade says:

Mr.& Mrs Idle wanted the Sussex out of the way for the spotlight.

    • Moondust says:

Yes! They also wanted to be the center of attention while doing nothing. They got exactly what they wanted.

      • Where'sMyTiara says:

They got exactly what they wanted, and they hate it.
This schadenfreude pie is delicious, btw.

      • Cate says:

Well Kate does like to wear the fancy dresses and diamonds. Willy loves wearing the tails and sash! You really do need to work if you want the perks!

    • Anna M says:

Yup, they wanted the spotlight, they got it and the light is too much for them it’s burning them instead. They thought they would fake charisma? Nope! They found out the hard way.

  14. twoz says:

    🎻

  15. JoanCallamezzo says:

Spare was a “bile fest”?? Those people are hysterical.

    • blueberry says:

Right!? The way they talk about Spare (I haven’t read it just heard a few bits) is so weird–especially because nothing in it has been specifically refuted, am I correct?

  16. Pinkosaurus says:

Do it, William, do it! Do an interview to get everything you would like to say off your chest. Explain how angry you are about how ill-used and poorly treated you are. How the overwhelming expectations of showing up once a week to shake hands is so unfair. How nobody should have the right to ask or question how you are spending the $24 million from the Duchy and your share of hundreds of millions of taxpayer funds from the Royal grant every year.

This would be even better than Andrew’s Woking Pizza Express interview.

    • Moondust says:

      That would be fantastic!

    • TigerMcQueen says:

While he’s talking, he can spout off about how “disloyal” it is to tell the truth about his wife being a racist liar and see how well that goes over.

    • Kake says:

So down to hear this clown! How do we get this ball rolling?

    • Anna M says:

Yes, he probably wants an Oprah sit down badly, to one up his brother and SIL but can’t just say it. What a life!

    • SueBarbri33 says:

Remember those awful, awkward interviews he used to give? There was one wherein he explained that he wasn’t workshy, and another that had something to do with conservation. I think he cried in one, maybe? He did not come off well. It wasn’t as bad as Andrew, but that’s not saying much.

  17. SussexWatcher says:

So she starts off her piece insulting and name-calling Harry, and then she conveniently forgets how every single rota rat has contributed to the current atmosphere – with their own words and by retweeting and engaging with the very worst of the trolls and bots, and then she wants to whinge about how mean and nasty discourse has become online?

You and your fellow rota rats ARE the problem. All of those years of sacrificing Harry to protect the misdeeds of the heir? YOU created this problem. All of those years of amplifying the racist, nasty, violent online harassment of Meghan? YOU created this atmosphere. It’s too late to put the cat back in the bag just because Huevo Pegs the III cries and stomps his eggcup. It’s too late to blame Harry and Meghan when they’ve been gone for years and your golden egg can no longer keep up the pretense of being competent or even sane and can’t keep straight the reason his lazy Button has gone missing.

Becky English and her fellow rota rats have helped to create the very thing they now cry and throw up about. They all knew how incompetent, lazy, and rage-filled the heir is and they lied and harassed the Sussexes almost to death. So, oh well, too bad so sad. Sorrows, sorrows, prayers.

  18. MsIam says:

QEII had to know her father was dying or at the least seriously ill. At 26 she was a parent of two children even younger than Baldemort’s yet somehow she managed to cope. Peg, at nearly 42, sounds like he’s on the verge of collapse. And wow once again throwing his wife (and mother) under the bus, talking about the damage to her reputation like he’s above it all and not involved. People were accusing you, William, of DV. Kate is not the only one with the damaged reputation. Time to leave your pity party and clean up the mess. And fire Becky English as your PR spokesperson, she’s making you look really, really bad.

  19. Sunday says:

bereaved sure is a strange, pointed word for the daily faily to use here…

    • Dee says:

      Noticed that, too.

    • Where'sMyTiara says:

That was a very deliberate word choice. What do they know that they’re sitting on?

    • Anna M says:

Yup, bereaved by his brother’ and SIL’s move to California or someone else’s leaving? Is his wife still alive? Weird!

    • Underhill says:

Well. Looks like John Oliver’s “non zero chance” is still an option. A very small chance, but one keeps hearing hints and allegations.

    • Belinda says:

Also the “Kate is haunted by ….” Comment. Bereaved and Haunted sounds mightily suspicious subliminal language?

  20. Amy Bee says:

Am I supposed to feel sorry for William? This is Karma for smearing and bullying Harry and Meghan.

  21. StillDouchesOfCambridge says:

The weight of the world on his shoulders? Yeah right. What a joke. The guy works from 10 to 4 with probably 3 hour lunches. He’s just mad he needs to step up and needs to own his fckups now

    • Moondust says:

And only from Tuesday to Thursday because you know ….kids. You don’t realize how much time is needed to organize so many holidays. And there’s one in the corner so please don’t disturb the Wales.

    • Eurydice says:

Weight of the world? He doesn’t even have weight of the UK. Nothing he does has any real effect on anybody, except his family and the press.

  22. Jais says:

Well she’s correct when she says that William has enjoyed unprecedented privacy from the BM. Especially in comparison to Harry and Meghan. This is a man who got angry bc Harry and Meghan didn’t update the media on Archie’s birth quick enough. Who wasn’t upset in the least at the moon baby conspiracies surrounding Meghan’s babies or that her kids are to this day called faked dolls. So whatever.

  23. Becks1 says:

Kate’s reputation is being shredded because…..she significantly altered a picture before releasing it to the international press. Now we can discuss whether it was actually her or whether someone else did it, but according to KP it was her. that’s why her reputation is in tatters, that’s why people are making so many “where is Kate” memes – not just because she is “recovering”, but because of that specific photo. couple that with the two car pics and the weird farm house video…….

and yeah its been one KP own-goal after another. And sorry William, no matter how many bots you buy, you cannot control social media the way you can control the british press.

    • Moondust says:

      This!

Also note to William, just because you’re stupid doesn’t mean we are….

    • Saucy&Sassy says:

Becks1, I believe it’s more than the photograph. Bone Idle has been as lazy as Billy Idle. I think it takes a fair amount of arrogance to think that you tell the masses that you’re taking off up to six months before doing any engagements, and not think there might be a problem. The real problem, imo, is that neither of them have done anything to prepare for the jobs they have known all along they would be getting. They have played around and thought that their titles would protect them. Guess what? It didn’t work. Now here we are.

Since there are more photographs out there that have been edited/manipulated and were taken by Bone Idle, I think we can believe that the most recent one was taken by her, too, and edited/manipulated by her. I believe that she’s been refusing to talk to anyone. The question is whether she will change her mind any time soon.

      • Becks1 says:

oh I agree their laziness is a big issue, and everything else we’ve talked about here for years now. But the frankenphoto was the trigger that brought international attention onto this whole mess, its what brought North Korea into the mix (what a weird thing to type!) etc.

Now the broader media and social media users are picking up on all those things we’ve discussed for years (cough Rose Hanbury) but if they hadn’t tried to fool the public one time too many, I wonder where things would stand right now.

  24. Cessily says:

They truly believe no one has actually read the record breaking book, Spare, do they? I was just waiting for the poor Peggy articles about how hard it is because Prince Harry isn’t his scandal scapegoat anymore.

    • Moondust says:

I also remember that when Spare was released they were relieved because they expected worse. What are they hiding?

      • SueBarbri33 says:

This right here. Whatever they were afraid of, whatever Harry and Meghan have left out, is what terrifies them.

  25. s808 says:

Am I supposed to give a f*ck? cause I don’t! You ALL wanted H&M gone. W&K wanted the spotlight. Everyone got they wanted. Nut up and deal with it.

    • Anna M says:

They wanted the full spotlight while burning with insecurity, jealousy and envy of H & M, not realizing that they lack the charisma that it takes to hold the spotlight, which H & M have in droves!. W & K thought they’d fake it till they make it, they thought that once they took the spotlight, everyone would love and adore them, worship and bow at their feet, only to find out that the real superstars of the royal family, (H &M) took the IT factor with them to California because their glow shines from the inside out and is not attached to their names, titles, royal family or the palace! Karma in action!

  26. Juanita says:

Have you guys read the Tatler’s new article on Huevo? Tatler stated the article with how great his height is, like how his height is a huge accomplishment 🤣🤣🤣. It’s reads like a Tatler wrote a whole article to make fun of him. But maybe I am wrong.

    • LivingDesert says:

Somehow I am afraid that this article is not satire, but someone’s attempt to write something “positive”.

  27. Schrodinger's Kate says:

There is something I do not understand about what I’m reading about how much more strongly regulated the UK media is vs foreign media, particularly the US.

If that is true, and if they’re restrained by strict libel laws, and are able to be gagged so powerfully they can’t even report on things they know to be true…then how the hell did we get the shit storm of outright lies, innuendo, etc. that nearly drove our girl Meghan to seriously contemplate suicide?

As manipulative and manipulating as US media can sometimes be, it is rare that we see our paparazzi hound an individual to the degree Meghan was hounded. That poor woman was under siege in her own house and it was so bad it traumatized her dog!

Wasn’t it UK media that had the parents of a murder victim thinking she was still alive because they hacked one of her phone or social media accounts? That’s wild!

I think we can see now in real time this recently lauded legal restraint of the UK media just works for a monarch and his/her heir these days. And even so, William is pushing it, big time.

    • Christine says:

That’s why Harry, Elton John, et. al. are currently suing the pants off of the rota papers. This entire article is bullshit, she just wants to whine about how terrible Harry and Meghan are, and how unfair it is that everyone but the ones who are in a decades long relationship with the Windsors can talk about it freely.

There is nothing stopping any of these people from reporting on this honestly, except the invisible contract.

    • BeanieBean says:

The only American I can think of being hounded by paparazzi would be Jackie O, but that wasn’t compounded by vile, vicious articles in the newspapers (I don’t think). This years-long attack on Meghan is unprecedented from what I can see.

  28. Moniquep says:

William: I stabbed myself in the chest, won’t somebody please feel sorry for meeeee!!
Harry, please come back so I can ease my “grief” and “bereavement” by kicking you around some more!!!!

  29. Fumi says:

This reads like William is living in a different reality than the rest of us. Like all of this was a direct result of his own actions. He got everything he wanted and he’s still complaining. Grow up!

    • Laura D says:

@Fumi the problem for William is that he does live in a completely different world to the rest of us. Which is why Harry has said he has sympathy for him (and his father). Imagine being brought up to believe that you are literally a “gift from god” and because of it all those who surround you cater to your every whim and desire. William has no idea what it’s like to be “normal” everyday Joe/Jill and it’s probably why he ate up all the nonsense the Middletons fed him.

It’s only now, with this latest set of own goals that William is seeing there’s a world outside the palaces that doesn’t need to agree with everything he says. The fact his so-called advisors are continually letting him shoot himself in the foot shows his unwillingness to employ strong people who will challenge his whims and fancies. William talks about modernising the monarchy but, to do so he really needs to start mixing with “ordinary” people. Of course people will still be deferential towards him (he is going to be king after all) but, the more contact he has with them, and listens to what they say the better prepared he will be to sit on the throne. Hiding away in his castle and only meeting people for an hour a week for a photo op really isn’t helping him. He should spend a day getting stuck in with the workers building the homes for the homeless on his Cornish estate. Having regular weekly morning/afternoon visits to one of his homeless charities would do a lot to help his image (and that of his charities).

Unless William decides to abdicate he will be the next king. If he really wants to be a king who is loved and respected by the majority of his kingdom then he should look objectively at what his brother is doing and start copying him. Better still, acknowledge publicly the great work Harry has done (and continues to do). The whole world and his uncle knows that William is “mad” at his brother but, he would gain a lot of respect if he stopped talking about his anger and just accept Harry has moved on.

      • lanne says:

It seems like the other royal families of Europe have done a much better job of preparing their heirs for their roles. Look at teenaged Leonor already doing military training and giving speeches. I think it’s awful that no one ever made William do anything. He faked a lot of stuff–the ambulance work for instance, and I don’t believe he did much of his own work in college. He also did a lot of check box performative stuff–he cleaned a toilet once on a gap year trip. He did things that looked impressive on the surface, but amounted to nothing. He’s never socialized outside his own social class–a huge missed opportunity in college. He just lived a mini Eton life at St Andrews. He never had to answer to anyone and it shows, and he had a scapegoat to hide all of his own misbehavior.

      • Christine says:

I am never getting over the fact that they didn’t make him learn any language but English, ever. FFS, Welsh should have been the bare minimum, but no.

      • aftershocks says:

I agree with you @Laura D, except for your advice that, “William should start copying Harry.” The question is, ‘When has William stopped trying to copy and compete with Harry?!’

Willy has obviously piggy-backed on Harry’s creative ideas and successful projects for years, starting with Sentebale and extending to Heads Together and the RF’s collaboration with Shout (for which Willy horned in on to try and take full credit; not to mention Willy’s yucky effort to divert funds from the Together Cookbook, intended to benefit the women of Hubb Community m. Nope, in my estimation, Willy needs to grow up and face who he really is inside. He needs to buck up and find a backbone. He needs to discover some personal authenticity. But honestly, effecting beneficial personal change is likely too late for Billy Idle. SMH!

    • Anna M says:

Yup. This will never end because he wants what Harry has so he’ll keeps chasing the wind on this one sided competition trying to one up Harry, his sense of entitlement is bizarre.

  30. Magdalena says:

In Opposite Land terms, I’m going to guess that if the late duke was “frequently exchanging letters” with any of the duchesses, it was with Meghan. Becky has apparently just found this out, so she slipped it in there as some sort of new “oh by the way” discovery and ascribed it to KKKHate, just in case the truth comes out later down the line. Then she will say with a straight face that it happened with both of them.

    • Couch Potato says:

It said princess, so it’s more likely some of the other women in the family. His granddaughters or QEll’s cousins maybe, Keen? No way!

      • Ciotog says:

Philip wrote letters to Diana when she was the heir’s wife, so I can certainly imagine him corresponding with Kate.

      • Magdalena says:

        Agreed, Couch Potato.

Ciotog: Diana was known as a prolific letter writer – just like Meghan. In all the years pre- and post-marriage that the public has been getting “tidbits” about Kate, not a single one has made reference to her writing letters of any kind, apart from signing her name under something her staff have signed. Sometimes these rota people over-egg the pudding, forgetting that it’s Kate they’re talking about.

There is a reason she and William were so angry about, and worked overtime to sabotage, the relationship that Harry and Meghan had with the Queen and Prince Philip. If she had been maintaining a letter-writing campaign with the Duke, her embiggeners would have “leaked” this years ago.

      • Christine says:

Yeah, this is definitely in reference to Diana, but the sneaky way she worded it means everyone will read it as Kate.

    • BeanieBean says:

He wrote to Diana & I’m pretty sure the writer knew that & deliberately threw that in there to make it seem as though Kate was close to him. She was not.

  31. lanne says:

Typical trumpian thin-skinned bully who can’t take what he dishes out.

He believes he’s entitled to not only love and affection, but being worshipped and definitely better than Harry and Meghan in every way because he is the Heir.

What he’s telegraphing here is how utterly miserable he is, amidst all the privilege, wealth, and a local compliant media. For narcissists, one of the worst things that can happen is to feel overlooked, or to be made fun of. The memes must be driving him crazy. He has no idea how to roll with the punches, and the fact that Harry’s living a better life than he is is eating this guy alive.

    • Anna M says:

Bingo! Especially after Harry called him and King Charles “trapped”. Maybe he’s coming to terms with the fact that he’s really “trapped” while his brother is free and living life on his own terms, and he can’t stand it, he just realized that he got the short end of the stick as the heir of the family and his brother is free living with a woman whom he adores and adores him, while making much more money than him in CA, lol. I mean, how can you compete with that? It’s eating him alive, maybe he wants his own version of Meghan (biracial American wife), to compete with Harry?. He definitely wants his brother’s life and what Harry has, while Kate wants what Meghan has including signing her name C, just like Meghan signed M on her letters. They are tired of copycatting and that maybe why he’s throwing a tantrum and acting out, trying to escape to CA.

      • Beverley says:

William would never marry a woman of color. He utterly believes in white superiority. His family were the OGs of the slave trade. Their entire “empire” was built on the foundations that “white is right”. There is no way Pegs isn’t a deeply committed bigot.

  32. Harper says:

Becky English gives herself away. Back in the early days of this circus she went on record saying she saw Willy at the London Clinic when she was there for her own procedure. We laughed at that obvious lie then. Now, however, she admits he has learned the hard way that he can’t control the foreign publications (he’s talking about you, Concha), social media or US prime time television like he does the British media. It sucks that they won’t lie for him, doesn’t it? Hence, his current state of bereavement.

  33. PORK BELLY says:

Kaiser’s right. There’s more money to be made in the BM covering the knockabout farce that is WANK. I’m getting tired of reading about how Baldilocks will never ever forgive Harry every couple of weeks whenever there’s nothing else to write about or when they’re bound by the invisible contract to steer clear of a genuine news story involving this dumbass and his lying, racist wife.

    • Underhill says:

Yeah, if they keep rehashing the story of how the queen turned red and flew around the room when they named Lillibet after her, we will all know that a bigger story is about to be slid under the door.

  34. Mel says:

It’s been 4yrs. When are they going to stop talking about Harry and Meghan who don’t talk about or to them.

    • Anna M says:

Mel, I don’t think they will stop talking about H & M because that’s where the clicks and the real money is. The rest are stale, boring and uninteresting.

      • Mel says:

I’m just over it and how they’re so dumb that they don’t realize it makes William look petty and weak to be STILL whining about Harry moving away 4 yrs ago. HIs own power play has got him in the spot that he’s in.

  35. ana says:

LOL. william is not bereaved. he’s enraged he doesn’t have a whipping boy anymore.

    • Anna M says:

Yup, he’s enraged he doesn’t have what Harry has. Harry won this one sided competition and Will can’t stand it, he’s dying of jealousy and envy.

  36. Vanessa says:

I love how all this royal reporter acting like this just happened to William as if he had no say in anything. The best part about all this is that this was Williams only fault he did this he made his official offices looks like a clowns in front of the whole world . Kensington Palace has activity engaging in conspiracies theories about Meghan and her children allows the royal reporters to run wild with leaking fake stories about Meghan and Harry on the daily . Now all that is coming back to them ten folds and they are throwing a tantrum because they can’t put the genie back in the bottle because they allowed all this to happen to Meghan they set a precedent William and Kate we’re happy and gleefully at the abuse Meghan was going through.

    • Angie says:

Yes. She was so gleeful about the difficulties Meghan was going through even trolling her by dressing like her. The set the precedent and the universe obliged by turning on them. They have been mocked by the world and people perceive them as untruthful. A lot of people think she is dead or faking. Has anyone actually seen her face since December? I don’t believe that woman at the farmers market was her. Why can’t she be seen? What is wrong with her that they won’t let anyone see her?

  37. QuiteContrary says:

Oh, Becky, if Kate’s being lambasted, it’s because Willy threw her under the bus by making her take the fall for the Mother’s Day photo debacle.

It’s his M.O. — not never explain, never complain, but never take the blame.

And THAT’s why he still misses Harry. He lost his scapegoat.

    • Anna M says:

The “scapegoat” is quickly becoming the G.O.A.T. and the heir can’t stand it.

      • Underhill says:

Yes. It looks like Harry is having all the fun. Diana foresaw all of this.

      • aftershocks says:

        😂 @Anna M! Yesss! 💯 🎯 👌🏽 🫡

@Underhill, Diana did not forsee any of this in her lifetime. She is actually on record as worrying more about Harry, as she felt the firm would protect Will. I don’t think Diana fathoms that Harry would be used to protect Will, or that Will would turn out to have such a rotten character. Both boys needed therapy when she died! Harry is the one who ended up getting therapy as an adult at his wit’s end. I think in death, Diana is guiding and protecting Harry. Willy is sadly beyond anyone helping him, divine or in the fkesh.

  38. Lau says:

So disturbing and on brand for him to keep using his dead relatives’ names to save his own skin.

    • Anna M says:

Yes Lau, he uses her name for convenience to evoke sympathy from the public and yet he called her “paranoid” and tried to silence her voice in the Panorama interview.

      • Lau says:

Exactly, and note how he is also using QEII and his grandfather as well. He is SO trashy.

  39. Linney says:

Since Harry and Meghan are so evil, shouldn’t William be glad they are gone? He should be thinking good riddance. But of course, anytime there is a problem, we have to hear about this. I still think Kate’s mental health issues will be blamed on Harry and Meghan, and if I read one more word about William’s incredible burden of the school run, I might freak. How about instead of fixating on his brother, he steps up to the plate and acts like a responsible adult?

  40. Mary Pester says:

Offs give it a bloody rest. Look the FACTS ARE that Billy and bone have Been found out as the shallow, workshy, vain, temper driven idiots they REALLY ARE
They have lost Harry and Megan their human Sheilds and YOU you horrible little woman, can see your meal ticket swirling around the drain with their reputation. SOME people like you and the rest of the Royal sycophants will be falling over yourselves for the “she is risen, second coming of Kate”, BUT they are holed below the water line now, and a lot of the UK population, no longer trust or support them

  41. Mantha says:

William is codependent and needs to see a therapist, seriously !

  42. HuffnPuff says:

They need to stop coddling this man child. He’s seriously not prepared to take over. He needs to look at the PR for his dad and reflect. His dad has not gone into detail about his cancer or his treatment. He has made appearances though and he has given high level information on how he’s doing. The key difference is that KFC hasn’t lied about any of what is going on with him. We aren’t hearing how he’s happy, vibrant and relaxed. We aren’t seeing videos of him jauntily walking around while declining engagements. He’s not putting out doctored photos and then saying “oops photo shop” and moving on. I think that’s the worst part – all of the lying. Kate is either on death’s door and can’t do engagements or she’s fit as a fiddle. Which is it? And they opened the door on all of that with fake or questionable photos/video and fake statements. No one believes Kate had anything to do with the Frankenphoto or the statements related to it. KP hasn’t verified the video and that’s because it wasn’t K&W. They are just letting all of the lies hang out there without setting the record straight.

    • Anna M says:

@ HuffPuff, that’s if KC really has cancer, there’s a big IF. There’s nothing this family won’t do to lie and cover up. Remember Princess Diana’s mysterious death? I’m sorry if he’s really sick with cancer but I’m just saying the announcement’s timing was very suspicious, like a deflection.
This is a deflection issue not defection.

  43. Square2 says:

Wow, how naive of me thought that the Cambridges/Wails/KP were following the “DTrump University Methord: Lie, lie, lie, lie enough times then people will believe the lie to be truth.” Thanks Becky E, (/s) I now understand that TOB always wants to be like the leaders in North Korea & Iran (Thanks AFP).

And KKKate, no one forced you to behave like a mean girl ( multiple times) on live national televised events. Or cultivated no female friendships while growing up. You are an ADULT, you reap what you sow. Man up (or woman up)! Stop blaming others.

  44. VilleRose says:

Always love the DM’s exercises in creative writing. Describing Kate as ” one of the most famous – and, let us not forget, much-loved – women in the world” is an interesting spin in trying to elevate Kate to Diana’s level. She hasn’t gotten this much attention since her wedding/George’s birth. She literally had to disappear from public view to become interesting again. Whereas every time Meghan steps out in public, she gets lots of views, articles, public discourse (I do think Meghan’s announcement of her lifestyle website was mostly overshadowed by Kate being MIA which Meghan was probably fine with). Whatever her first public engagement is, whether it’s the Easter walk or something else, will get a lot of attention of course. But after the initial hubbub, it will die down and the world will go back to ignoring Kate, unless a divorce or something more interesting happens. She is not an interesting person and she is not much loved.

As for William constantly trying to deflect by bringing his brother into something that Harry has nothing to do with, good luck pushing that narrative anymore. Nobody trusts anything coming out of KP right now. I know they won’t always be under fire like this but I do think any credibility William thought he had has been broken forever.

    • Sue says:

“As for William constantly trying to deflect by bringing his brother into something that Harry has nothing to do with, good luck pushing that narrative anymore. ” — this is what has me wondering. Aside from the derangers does anyone actually care anymore that William hates Harry for…reasons? The tabs really need to change the channel, I suspect even William isn’t as invested in this as they are, and Harry has definitely moved on. Time to find something else to talk about.

  45. kelleybelle says:

Perhaps the evil, backstabbing c**t shouldn’t have instructed the press to torture Meghan, no? Is Will really that stunned? Jesus Christ Almighty.

  46. Karmaflower says:

Oh idk if she’s (Becky English) even able to have that much perspective with her head so far up W’s @$$.

  47. MarqueeMoon says:

I mean … imagine all of us being so controlling over our siblings, that we felt entitled to say that we were bereaved!! Betrayed!!! so so so angry by the “defection” of one of our siblings, because they decided to move to another country and make their life there!!!

It’s all about us! They have no right to their own life and decisions
Imagine if one of our siblings didn’t want to work in the family business.. especially if it was a toxic environment..

Imagine if one of our siblings wanted to marry who they wanted to marry, live, where they wanted to live and work how they wanted to work… But that didn’t suit us personally.. so we reminded everyone that we felt bereaved , devastated and betrayed by their decision to do something other than what we wanted them to do..

It’s like a bad AITA and a bad joke .. and yes, you are the asshole William.. your brother is his own person, you don’t own him, and him making his own decisions about his own life, are not an evil act of betrayal ffs

  48. AC says:

This circus is collapsing fast. The ringmaster has been pretty incompetent.

  49. Nikki says:

Hey William … to borrow Will Smith’s infamous words ‘Keep your brothers name out of your F@$*’in mouth’. It’s been 4 years, enough.

  50. Can Huevo just stop whining already. He claimed credit for a fake photo, then when the world found out he blamed his wife .

No one is buying his “poor me” schtick

If missing flight Kate 370 doesn’t land on Easter Sunday the world will be looking to him for answers, not excuses

  51. TN Democrat says:

William wanted to be the center of attention and use his brother as a life-long scapegoat. As an abuser he never thought Harry would leave, be successful/independent and never come slinking back in defeat divorced and broke. William (and Charles) allowed the press to savage Meghan and Harry for 3 years before they left. They have been gone for 4 years at this point. How many more years is the rota going to recyle versions of this story? Wiliam is going to be 42 this year. It is time for him to grow up and stop picking on Harry to cover his follies. Re-hashing this story is stale tea.

  52. ChattyCath says:

I’ll tell you what he is: ugly inside and out.

  53. ChattyCath says:

All Willy has is the hatred of his brother and lies about said brother’s memoir. I blocked another idiot on X today. What do they expect to achieve? No goal unless ‘Harry comes back’.

    • Tessa says:

William abused harry and the dm is going on about how William needs harry now. If he needed harry he should not have bullied harry and made things unpleasant for meghan.
