Last week, there was some confusion about Brooke Mueller’s admission to the Two Dreams Outer Banks center in North Carolina following her hospitalization for infections and pneumonia. Various sources claimed the facility was a spa and physical rehabilition center, while others claimed it was “drug rehab lite” for Brooke‘s alleged crack and/or alcohol addiction. I did a few minutes of research on the facility website and I came to the conclusion that the facility was likely something along the lines of a spa-like detox center. People probably come when they’re having drug or alcohol problems, but it’s not hardcore rehab with lots of meetings and stuff. More like a place to rest and relax and dry out.
Anyway, Brooke has given an “exclusive” statement to In Touch Weekly. The statement is: “There are so many lies out there.” That’s it. Seriously. After that, her mom and her friends do the heavy lifting for the rest of the denial:
The past month will likely go down as one of the worst in Brooke Mueller’s life. Shortly after husband Charlie Sheen reportedly threatened her with a knife on Christmas, the new mom was hospitalized with a life-threatening illness.
As she struggles to get healthy again, she’s been plagued by vicious gossip about drug and alcohol abuse.
“There are so many lies out there,” Brooke tells In Touch exclusively, and those close to her want to set the record straight. When Brooke, 32, was rushed to the hospital on January 20, it was because of a dangerous fever resulting from having her wisdom teeth removed — surgery she delayed because of the stress over Charlie’s court date.
It was not, as some speculated, because she had been drinking too much.
“The infections and pneumonia are what caused the shutting down of her organs,” her mother, Moira Fiore, tells In Touch. “Brooke was very sick.”
But when Brooke checked herself into the Two Dreams facility in North Carolina after her release on January 26, the rumors quickly multiplied and grew wilder because of her problems with Charlie.
She was said to have relapsed into a crack and alcohol problem and was even accused of having drugs brought to her in the ICU. It’s all nonsense, according to her inner circle.
“This is ridiculous!” says her outraged mom. “There were tubes down her throat — how in the world would anyone in this position do drugs?” And since her 11-month-old sons, Bob and Max, mean the world to her, another rumor — that she had to go to rehab for drinking during her pregnancy — was especially hurtful.
“It’s so horrible to say,” Moira adds. “She would never put her boys at risk.”

I do believe Brooke was probably very sick. And I do believe that she was probably not on drugs when she was being hospitalized. I also believe Charlie Sheen’s team is very, very good at ripping Brooke apart whenever and however possible. Of course, I also believe that Brooke is an alcoholic with a history of drug abuse, and it’s not inconceivable to me that Brooke was using drugs again, just as we know she was drinking again (and was likely drunk when Charlie assaulted her). So… what was the point again? Oh, yes. Feel bad for Brooke, but don’t believe any of “lies”. But Brooke isn’t going to specify what those “lies” are.

if you read after the whole xmas fight. Right away she recanted and called it drunk 911 dialing but if she recanted they would charge her with making a false report.

I do not understand why she had to leave California and go to the other side of the country to rest up. CA has spas & retreats by the thousands, Also I read that Doctors advised her not to fly.

shouldn’t it be allerged assaulted. Do you know for sure that he assaulted her? We don’t know what went down and the only two people that know is Brooke and Charlie. I am not jumping to conclusion on this one yet. I know a lot of people hate Charlie but to say that he assaulted her before proof to me seem unfair.

I’m not taking her side either, I hate gold diggers who try to play innnocent victims. She has twins boys that she and Charlie had manufatured especially for them neither she nor him should have been drunk on Christmas morning. I guess I am just old-fashioned but I thought when you had children the holidays were about family and not getting wasted.

Brooke knew that Charlie was a bad boy. She was boasting about Charlie being off whores and drugs. In your face Mueller!!! she got what she deserved a bad boy. People don’t change and someone with a record like Charlie Why the surprise. She is also an alcoholic, she should not be drinking but she was on Christmas. It is all so well self deserved

Brooke and Charlie are both flakes. And I’m a Charlie fan, but enough BS is enough. At this point in his life, he needs to man up and quit with all the irrational behavior. He is a talented entertainer and he needs to get his demons in his past once and for all.

Sumodo I would like to believe that but so many celebrities get passes on what the rest of us would spend jail time for doing that I doubt it. Everytime I read about this pair I am reminded of what my wise Grandmother said when talking about a toxic couple: “It is good they are together, it would be a shame to ruin 2 households”.

The Order of Protection/Peace Bond?
The sudden illness brought on by “dental complications?”

Whatever the lawyers say? The Police Dept? The Prosecutors?
I don’t believe a word coming out of ANY of their mouths at this point. Including mom’s.
I said it before, and I’ll say it again, ANYONE caught up in Sheen’s Cyclone of Crazy needs to question their own sanity.

There seems quite a rash of pneumonia in Hollywood: Heath Ledger, Brittany Murphy, now this woman. I’m wondering what prescription (or not) drug has this particular side effect.
In other news, TMZ reports Sheen is getting charged with a felony and a misdemeanor. Amen.

I am by no stretch a Charlie fan but something about this is not quite adding up. This sounds like a drunken drug fueled fight that got out of hand. I bet this is not the first time either. She may well be using Denise Richards’ claims to set him up…he could actually be violent…Who knows really.
Her health problems sound like the problems people actively indulging in substances and neglecting their health have. It seems odd that someone that ill was drinking to the point of intoxication. Not buying it sister.
Seems like CS needs to start choosing a better class of woman to associate with and procreate with. He is the one with more on the line to lose and the fortune to protect.
Can she really be all that shocked about him behaving like this? Didn’t she google him?

@ Kat – I agree that a lot of celebs get treated lightly by authorities, but I don’t know if marrying a famous guy counts. Who the heck was she before Charlie? I have no clue, so I wonder how much weight her name or status carries.

She’s an idiot for marrying scum like Charlie Sheen, and I’m sure she had drug/alcohol abuse issues in the past, but I think Charlie’s team is incredibly ruthless when it comes to protecting their ca$h pig. I wouldn’t put it past any of them to, on Charlie’s order, spread the rumor that she abused substances again during and after her pregnancy.

I agree with Erin. Brooke is now the target of that pathological narcissist’s (known as Charlie Sheen) wrath. She is NOT safe and I fear for her. None of you would want to be in her shoes now. She needs our prayers now. Don’t buy into the rumors that she somehow is bad and deserves this. Mr. Sheen cannot love, but does hate!
