It looks like the mystery wedding between Nicole Richie and Joel Madden is shaping up to be a star-studded event. While Nicole and Joel seem like pretty low-key people, they have a lot of famous friends, and Nicole’s dad, Lionel Richie, has even more famous friends. So don’t be surprised if this wedding turns into a huge affair.
Nicole Richie, 28, will soon marry Joel Madden, 31, and her guest list is rivaling the Grammys!
According to an insider, Nicole and Joel are inviting the biggest names in the music industry to their wedding, and instead of asking for gifts, they’re asking them to perform!
“There will be countless performances at the wedding,” an insider says, nothing that Nicole’s dad, Lionel Richie, has tons of musician friends who will be in attendance. “It will be one big concert.”
The couple, who have a daughter Harlow, 2, and son Sparrow, 7 months, announced their engagement in February.

Hmm..too bad this so-called “insider” could not let us know the date and location of the event, eh? Although, knowing Nicole and Joel, of course their wedding will feature a lot of music. I bet it will be quite the bash. But this isn’t really giving a whole lot of info away. I need details: what will they wear? How will their adorable children be part of the ceremony? Will Benji be Joel’s best man? Who will Paris Hilton hook up with at the reception? These are the burning questions I want answered.

I love these two together, he’s so good for her. If you would have told me back when she first got pregnant with his kid that it would have turned out like this (her getting her life together, them staying together long-term and getting married) I would have been shocked, to say the least.

i was on the fence for a while regarding lil’ Harlow…i mean she looked ‘exactly’ like her dad when 1st born. now that nicole’s looks are coming through, she has transformed into the most adorable lil’ nugget this side of shiloh-ville.

Both Nicole and Joel said they wanted a small wedding but that’s all relative. I’m sure a couple of people will perform but I don’t see it being concert-like. I’d bet my life that Paris isn’t invited. I don’t think I’ve seen them together by choice since Harlow’s birth. It’s amazing that of that crowd Nicole is the happy, stable one. Lindsay could die of an overdose any second and Paris and Mischa Barton are hanging onto the d-list by their fingernails.

I don’t usually go super gaga for celeb babies, but Harlow is just so freakin’ cute in her tutu’s! And her different little hair do’s. lordee she is darling!
I bet when sparrow is older and we see him more, he will be equally as cute!

@Beth–they actually have been seen together (i know you said you haven’t seen them) but they been spotted at a few places together from time to time, at parties, taking pictures..and she talks to her on twitter a lot–yeahhh im a big Nicole richie fan and even on a recent interview a few months ago she said Paris and her are like sisters.

Two kids out of wedlock – it’s about time they did this thing.
Nicole has clearly been no angel up to this point, so cut out the crap about what anyone else might be doing. But at least it’s a step in the right direction for Nicole and Joel, let’s hope it lasts.

why is everyone assuming they are getting married???????????/they have said this so many times. yes, nicole has improved a lot, and that is due to joel. however, it would help a lot for her/him to do therapy. this impasse about marriage is way, way too late, when you already have 2 children and she is letting her old wounds dictate her life. her weight is much better. her hair color is, she and joel do, but when she marries joel, THEN, AND ONLY THEN, WILL I BELIEVE THAT NICOLE RICHIE IS REALLY AT THAT PLACE OF HEALING SHE NEEDS TO BE…. if they didnt have 2 kids , i wouldnt care less….it is their responsibility..to their children, and each other…in many, many ways, including financially, for one.
