Victoria Beckham allowed Harper to wear baby skinny jeans: amazing & adorable?

I was going to make this post about Victoria Beckham and how she got a haircut, but then I saw these photos and now that’s over. OMG OMG OMG Harper Seven deigns to wear baby jeans!! And not just any jeans – baby skinny jeans!! This is the first time I think I’ve ever seen Harper in jeans or anything kind of sporty and NOT frilly. Did David dress her this morning? Why do I think that David is the one putting Harper in frilly things to begin with? No, I think we have to accept that Victoria decided that today was the day to put Harper Seven in skinny jeans. Harper looks jazzed about it too, doesn’t she?

Anyway, these are pics of Posh and Harper at the Eurostar station in London – they were traveling to Paris to see David on his birthday, which is today. Happy birthday, Goldenballs! You can’t even see where Posh has had her hair cut, right? She posted photos a few days ago of her hair stylist giving her some kind of rock n roll bob, but I think she’s had extensions put back in?

It’s baa-aack! Victoria Beckham’s Posh bob, aka The Pob, has been revived. The former Spice Girls singer tweeted a shot yesterday of her newly-shorn locks. “Loving the hair! Thank u Tina Outen,” she wrote to her London stylist.

The Pob was Beckham’s signature look during her Spice Girls tenure, but she has most recently sported a more casual L.A.-friendly hairstyle: long, layered tresses. Now that she’s moved to Paris — husband David Beckham signed a new soccer contract with Paris St Germain — perhaps she was feeling a need for more sophisticated ‘do.

This latest reincarnation of her trademark hairstyle seems to be longer than her original Pob, which was chin-length in the front and buzzed shorter in the back. In fact, it may be more like the Karlie, the longish bob named after model Karlie Kloss and declared by the New York Times as the “the haircut of the year.” Other stars who’ve cut their tresses into a similar style this year include Nicole Richie, Naomi Watts, Nikki Reed, Jennifer Lawrence, Felicity Huffman, and Jaimie Alexander.

The mom of four kids spoke on Apr. 28 at the Vogue Festival in London about juggling her busy life and how she’s perceived by others. “I’m nice! Everyone thinks I’m going to be a cow,” she quipped. “I understand it, actually. I think the same when I see the pictures.”

[From Us Weekly]

Yeah. But then look at these photos. I really think she’s had some extensions put back in. Maybe the whole reason she got a haircut in the first place was to take out a bad weave or some extensions? I don’t know. Baby skinny jeans.

Harvey Weinstein & Georgina copied Cate Blanchett’s baby name for their son

Back in December, Harvey Weinstein and Georgina Chapman announced they were expecting their second child together. They were already parents to India Pearl, and Harvey already has three more daughters from previous marriages. And now he finally has a son! A week ago, Page Six reported that Harvey and Georgina had welcomed their first (and only, at this point) son on Thursday, April 11th. Shortly after Georgina gave birth, Page Six said: “Georgina and son are doing extremely well.” To Harvey’s credit, it didn’t seem like a Ben Affleck-type situation where Harvey was all about “getting the son”. Harvey said months ago that whatever happened, happened and if he ended up with five daughters overall, that would be fine with him. Once his son arrived, a source said: “This is a big moment for the family. Although Harvey will always be outranked by women, at least he now has an ally.” Harvey is 61 years old. Georgina is 37.

Well, I was waiting to talk about this until we found out the name, just because I really was interested in what kind of name Harvey would give his son. As it turns out, he just copied Cate Blanchett!

Harvey Weinstein and his Marchesa fashion-designer wife, Georgina Chapman, have settled on a name for their newborn son — Dashiell Max Robert. A source tells Page Six the baby’s first name was inspired by “The Thin Man” novelist Dashiell Hammett, because “when Harvey first met Georgina, he said she reminded him of [the ‘Thin Man’ character] Nora Charles . . . She was so beautiful, and so clumsy.”

Max, meanwhile, was the name of Weinstein’s father, after whom the last half of his and brother Bob’s famous former company, Miramax, was named. Dashiell was born last week and is the couple’s first son. Weinstein has four daughters — India Pearl with Chapman, and Emma, Lily and Ruth from a previous marriage.

[From Page Six]

Cate Blanchett’s oldest son is named Dashiell John Upton. Her younger sons are named Roman and Ignatius. I always remember the oldest boy’s name because I thought it was a great name at the time, and Cate was the first celebrity mom (that I’ve heard of) to use Dashiell as a first name. Harvey and Cate have worked together several times before, and I know he’s a fan. Do you think he consciously copied her, or are Harvey and Georgina really trying to play this like they just thought of the name all on their own?

Edward Norton & his fiancée Shauna Robertson welcomed a baby boy last month

A little more than a month ago, we heard the rumor that Edward Norton and his fiancée Shauna Robertson were expecting their first child together. The rumor was unverified by Edward’s people, which is not surprising because Edward is crazy-private and he would never allow his rep to confirm anything about his personal life. Well, now it looks like Shauna may have given birth. To a boy!

Edward Norton and his fiancee, Shauna Robertson, welcomed a healthy baby boy in March, multiple sources tell Us Weekly exclusively. The private pair got engaged in 2011 following a six-year courtship; Us broke the news of the Canadian film producer’s pregnancy last month.

The two are “thrilled and excited for parenthood,” an insider says. Norton — known for his scene-stealing roles in Primal Fear, American History X, Kingdom of Heaven and Moonrise Kingdom — has never publicly addressed his engagement, nor has he spoken of Robertson’s pregnancy.

In addition to raising his firstborn child, Norton recently began production on the movie Birdman, costarring Emma Stone and Zach Galifianakis. The film also features Naomi Watts, with whom the 43-year-old shared the screen in 2006′s Painted Veil.

A rep for Norton had no comment when contacted by Us.

[From Us Weekly]

Congrats to Edward and Shauna. And congrats for keeping everything so low-key, although maybe that wasn’t completely their choice, you know? It’s not like Edward is still an in-demand actor and it’s not like anyone still thinks he’s a contender for the big roles any more. I’m so old that I remember when Edward first “arrived” on the scene and how quickly he ascended to the top tier of Hollywood. And I also remember how he began to falter, the stories about his perfectionism, his diva-ego, his narcissism. He’s done a lot of great work, for sure, but he’s also treated some powerful people like crap, and he seems to think he’s the only one with any brains in Hollywood. Anyway… sorry, I wanted this to be a positive post, but all I can think about it how pissed I am at Edward for not keeping his ego in check long enough to make more good movies.

PS… If Vera Farmiga and Kristen Wiig had a love child, she would look like Shauna.

Jenna Bush-Hager welcomes Margaret Laura ‘Mila’ Hager, Dubya’s first grandbaby

First of all, did you know George W. Bush has a Facebook page? He does! And did you know that Barney Bush (the Scottish terrier) passed away a few months ago? Sad. But George W. Bush has one reason to celebrate – his daughter Jenna has just welcomed her first child, a daughter! Jenna announced her pregnancy back in December after she seemed to be showing quite a bit during a segment on Today (she’s a Today correspondent), and she later confirmed the news to People Magazine. This is Dubya’s first grandchild. Jenna and her husband Henry Hager have named their daughter Margaret Laura Hager, and she will go by Mila Hager. That’s cute!

The former First Family has welcomed their first grandchild. Former President George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush confirmed the new addition Sunday on Facebook.

“Laura and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our grandchild, Margaret Laura ‘Mila’ Hager,” he writes. “Mila, daughter of Jenna and Henry Hager, is named for her grandmothers.”

The couple’s daughter arrived at 8:43 p.m. on Saturday, April 13 in New York City.

“Jenna and Mila are healthy. And our family is elated,” Bush writes.

Prior to welcoming her new addition, the Today contributor didn’t know the sex of her baby.

“I really love the relationship I have with my mother,” Hager, 31, previously told PEOPLE at her baby shower, “so to have a daughter would be special.”

However, there’s still no word on what the little one will call her grandparents.

“My grandfather and my father’s grandfather were both called Gampy, so maybe it will be Gampy,” she recently told PEOPLE, adding with a laugh, “but my father did also say he wanted to be called Jefe, which is chief in Spanish.”

[From People]

Naming your daughter after her grandmother is common enough, and it’s incredibly common in the Bush family. Both of Dubya’s daughters are named after their grandmother. Dubya’s daughter Barbara was named after George W. Bush’s mother and Jenna was named after Laura Bush’s mother. I’m actually glad they specified that “Margaret” is for Henry’s mother otherwise I would have thought that Jenna had named her daughter after Margaret Thatcher. Which would have been epic! But “Mila” as a nickname for Margaret? I’ve never heard that, but I like it.

Anyway, congrats to Jenna and Henry! Congrats to Auntie Barbara and to happy grandparents George and Laura. I’m sure everybody is really happy!

Chris Hemsworth loves to show off his big guns & his baby girl: adorable?

Here are some new photos of your boyfriend Chris Hemsworth and his wife and daughter. They were grocery shopping at Whole Foods on Monday. Does it strike anyone else that Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky are becoming the new Garner-Afflecks? It seems like we get at least two “happy family” photo-ops from the Hemsworth-Patakys every week lately, and of course beautiful baby India Rose is always in tow. Elsa knows well enough that no one cares about her and that if she holds the baby, no one will buy the photographs. So Chris is always holding his baby girl, and the photos sell because ladies love nothing more than a giant dude with amazing arms cradling his daughter.

The Hemsworth-Pataky game might even be superior to the Garner-Affleck game because A) Chris always seems more engaged with India, B) because Elsa and Chris genuinely seem like hippie-beach types who aren’t angling for some Oscar campaign and C) because the family unit is always seen as “whole”. So many of the Garner-Affleck photo-ops are just of Jennifer Garner and the girls. The Hemsworth-Pataky photo-ops are always of Elsa, Chris and India, a tight, contained family unit.

I do wonder if these photo-ops have a purpose for Chris and Elsa. I mean, it’s not like Chris is some Kellan Lutz or something – Chris’s career is going like gangbusters with a slew of big-budget projects already filmed or in pre-production. I’m just saying, it’s not like he NEEDS to be featured in People Magazine under the “Celebrity Parents: Just Like Us!” banner. But maybe this is a longer and more intricate game. Chris wants to be seen as a professional capable of handling big-budget films AND he wants to be seen as a dedicated family man. It’s a good image. It works for him.

Jessica Simpson has given up heels because her feet are ‘swollen and hurt’

I love Maxwell Drew Johnson’s little duckface. She has a natural duckface! Such a pouty little girl. Hopefully in 18 years, she’ll get with Samuel Affleck, who also has a natural duckface. Anyway, these are just some nice photos of Jessica Simpson, Eric and Maxi out for a walk on Easter morning in Toluca Lake. Jessica is covering her bump in Eric’s Yale sweatshirt, a pair of shorts and a pretty nice-looking pair of kicks. Are those Nikes? I’ve had a recent bad run on quality sneakers – even when I buy Nike or Reebok, the heels keep falling apart in, like, two months. Any recommendations would be welcome!

Speaking of heels, did you know that Jessica has had to give up her beloved high heels again? At this point in her first pregnancy, Jessica was still traipsing around LA in sky-high heels, but not with this pregnancy. A source told Us Weekly, “Jessica is no longer wearing heels. Her feet are swollen and hurt, and high heels hurt her back.” And Jessica was tweeting last week about “practicing walking in flats around my house.” Because apparently that’s something you have to practice now?

Jessica and her family were together for Easter at her mom’s home in Toluca Lake. Tina Simpson is renting the house from Jennifer Love Hewitt for $12,500 a month, which sounds like a really crazy rental, right? Maybe Jessica is paying for all of her mom’s stuff now because Joe Simpson can’t have any access to the finances because he’ll just blow it all on hair product and 20-something gay hustlers.

You know Jessica is due around the same time as Duchess Kate and Kim Kardashian, right? I bet it will be like a row of dominos, they’ll all give birth within like 10 days of each other. Who will be first? Jessica or Kim? I feel like Kate will be last of the triad – she’ll cross her legs and make sure that the baby doesn’t come out until Kim’s baby is a few days old.

Jeremy Renner & his ex-girlfriend welcomed baby girl Ava Berlin Renner

Back in January, we learned that Jeremy Renner had knocked up his ex-girlfriend, a woman we soon discovered was a 22-year-old Canadian model named Sonni Pacheco (allegedly). I believe she is the woman in these photos (taken in August 2012). Apparently, Jeremy was fooling around with her for a while, and when she became pregnant, he moved her into his home (or his guest house) where she lived quite comfortably with Jeremy and Jeremy’s business partner and BFF. I heard lots of rumors that Sonni gave birth back in February, but Us Weekly says it just happened last week…? And now Jeremy has taken the time to confirm everything, including his baby daughter’s name!

Jeremy Renner is tackling his most challenging — and most rewarding! — role yet: fatherhood! The two-time Academy Award nominee and his ex-girlfriend welcomed a baby girl on Thursday, March 28, two sources confirm exclusively to Us Weekly.

Update: The actor’s rep confirms the birth of baby Ava Berlin Renner. “They are beyond thrilled,” the spokesperson says. “Mother and daughter are doing great.”

The Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters actor told Eva Longoria about his baby news at the Golden Globes on Jan. 13, as exclusively reported in the Jan. 28 issue of Us Weekly. Renner, 42, was overheard saying, “‘I’m going to fly in when her water breaks,’” two witnesses revealed. “Then Eva said, ‘I’m so blown away.’”

The Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol star put his ex-girlfriend up in his L.A. home as they awaited the arrival of their firstborn. “They used to date but it wasn’t serious,” an insider explained, adding that Renner was “being ultra-secretive about it, but she has been going on about her life and not hiding it.”

Says a pal, “Jeremy will make a great dad!”

[From Us Weekly]

Ava Berlin Renner. Ava Renner. Call me crazy, but I kind of like it. I wonder if Sonni picked it out or if Jeremy had a say. I feel like his input might have been the “Berlin”? He seems like the kind of dude who suggests “Berlin” as a name. I’m not disrespecting the Berlin name – it pairs surprisingly well with Ava. And before now, I never realized how much I like the last name “Renner”. It’s a good name! Anyway, congrats to Jeremy and Sonni.

Chris Hemsworth in a tight t-shirt, holding his baby girl: the best thing ever?

Since I know many of you cannot resist photos of A) hot, beefy men, B) babies and C) giant, bulging arms, here are some photos of Chris Hemsworth, Elsa Pataky and their daughter India Rose. They were out and about in Venice Beach on Saturday, going out to breakfast with India and then stopping for gas. How adorable is India Rose? This is the first time I’ve really paid attention to how she looks – she’s so cute!! She’s got a very expressive face, and I love her little pink Chucks. I love that whenever this family is out, Chris is always holding his daughter – he seems like a very hands-on father. You know what needs to go though? Chris’s man-Scrunchies.

I think Chris is in this weird place as far as his fame goes – like, paparazzi know there’s enough interest in Chris to follow him around and get these candid photos, but Chris isn’t famous to the point where he gets swarmed when he goes out in public. If his career keeps going like it has been, that will change. Hollywood is trying to make him into the next Brad Pitt/Arnold Schwarzenegger. For real – I think they’re trying to make him into a combination of those two. In reality, I think Chris might be more of hippie-granola type who kind of fell into box-office stardom sideways. It’s not the worst thing.

Jennifer Aniston allegedly discussing adoption, surrogacy w/ Charlize Theron

A few days ago, Jennifer Aniston’s publicist specifically denied that Jennifer and Justin Theroux were going to get married in Hawaii in a little while. Which doesn’t mean much, because her publicist specifically denies crap that’s true all the time. Even though Justin has a place in Hawaii (this fascinates me), I kind of doubt that they’ll actually make everyone fly to Hawaii to celebrate their love, though. My Spidey Sense tells me… LA area, maybe Malibu, and maybe Cabo as a secondary option. Anyway, Radar has an interesting story about Jen’s family planning for after the wedding – maybe adoption. Maybe surrogacy.

Jennifer Aniston’s nuptials are imminent, and her steps to becoming a mother are moving faster by the day, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting. The former Friends star has been taking adoption advice from Charlize Theron, who’s a close pal of Jennifer’s bestie Chelsea Handler. And while she hasn’t decided if she does want to follow in the footsteps of Charlize and Sandra Bullock, Jennifer now knows enough if she wants to proceed down that route.

“Jennifer has been quizzing Charlize about the adoption process thanks to Chelsea, who put the two in touch with another,” a source tells RadarOnline. “She’s seriously considering that as an option, given her age and the fact that Charlize says it’s the most rewarding thing she’s ever done.”

“But she hasn’t decided entirely, with surrogacy another possibility for Jennifer because she definitely does want to have kids. However, at the moment she’s just concentrating on her wedding to Justin. After that, she will decide what to do next,” the source reveals.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, guests invited to Jennifer and Justin Theroux’s wedding are anxiously awaiting the details.

“Indications are it’s going to be a small, private affair with just a select few invited,” a source told Radar. “Those that are going have been told to expect a call at short notice, drop everything they are doing and head to the location when revealed. Guests have heard rumors about the wedding being held in Hawaii or even Greece, but most expect it to be staged in California.

“One person who has been told to expect a call is Jen’s mom Nancy. She has been told to hang by the phone for a call any day now with all the arrangements. John Melnick, Jen’s half-brother, has kept Nancy up to date with everything that’s going on as she continues to go from strength to strength after her recent hospitalization.

“Nancy can’t wait to be there at Jen’s big day having missed out on her first wedding to Brad,” the source revealed.

[From Radar]

“She’s seriously considering that as an option, given her age and the fact that Charlize says it’s the most rewarding thing she’s ever done…” Does that bug anyone else? Like, it didn’t occur to Jennifer that adopting a child would be rewarding until Charlize said it? As I always say with regards to Jennifer and her decades of baby-baiting the media, actions speak louder than words. Jennifer and her publicist can play the “Jennifer talks about babies!” thing until they’re blue in the face, but until Jennifer’s on the cover of People Mag with an actual baby (as opposed to a doll, I suppose), I just feel like… meh. We’ve heard all of this before and it always comes to nothing. I would like nothing more than to actually have a pregnancy, surrogacy or adoption story to write about for Jennifer, but this baby-baiting the media thing has been going on for like 15 years.

Duchess Kate will reportedly name her ‘little grape’ Elizabeth Diana Carole

Duchess Kate covers this week’s issue of Us Weekly, which is a pretty good editorial choice. I’d like to see the breakdown of cover sales, but I suspect that every American tabloid which puts Kate on the cover with a headline involving something about “pregnancy secrets” will probably be a big seller. And Us Weekly actually does have some interesting pieces of info too – and I trust Us Weekly more than the Enquirer, of course. There’s a solid possibility that this stuff is true!

Ever since Kate Middleton dropped a hint that she was expecting a baby girl, people have been speculating which name has been chosen for the new heir to the throne. According to a new report, Kate and her husband Prince William already have their picked her name picked out — but did Diana make the cut?

Kate and William, who have yet to publicly announce the gender of their baby, have referred to the royal baby as their “little grape.” But with increasing speculation that the royal baby is a girl — Kate hinted she was having a daughter on March 5 at an appearance — an insider has revealed the name they have selected!

The name of their little girl will be (drumroll please…)

Elizabeth Diana Carole, in honor of William’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth! The middle names will also be in tribute of their parents, William’s late mother Princess Diana, and Kate’s mom Carole. Carole is also the Latin variation of the name Charles, and Elizabeth is Kate’s mom’s middle name!

While many speculated that the couple would name their baby in honor of Princess Diana, Elizabeth resonates with the both William and Kate more, since the name also runs in Kate’s family. Plus, Queen Elizabeth hadn’t been a huge fan of Lady Diana when she was in the royal family — and the royal couple can honor the Queen, since their baby (boy or girl) will be the next heir to the throne.

Queen Elizabeth has welcomed not only the Duchess, but also her parents into the royal family with open arms, and what better way to show respect than with the royal baby carrying her name!

[From Hollywood Life]

Elizabeth Diana Carole? Isn’t that what I said MONTH AND MONTHS ago? That is such a boring choice. I mean, obviously all three names have significance to William and Kate, but are they seriously not going to mix it up at all? Not even throw in one unexpected name? But… I like the idea of Elizabeth for the first name, mostly because it invites so many nicknames. She can be Liz, Beth, Lizzie, Liza, Betty, Eliza, or the Queen’s own nickname, Lilibet. Lizzie Wales is adorable. Eliza Wales is cute too. And OF COURSE “Carole” was in the mix too. And I’m so happy that they’re not considering Diana for the first name. Please don’t let them use Diana as the first name. That’s too much history and too many expectations to give to a child.

Of course, this could all be moot. It might be a boy because I’m not entirely convinced that Kate “slipped” and insinuated that she’s having a girl. I think a boy’s name will include Phillip, Henry, Michael and Charles, but they might go for a first name that hasn’t been used in a while. Like George, Edward or Arthur. Teddy Wales? How cute is that?
