Bruce Willis: “I had been sober, but I have wine now”

Bruce Willis did an interview on BBC’s One Show earlier this month to promote the latest Die Hard movie. The interview got a lot of press because Bruce seemed drunk. He slurred his words, sounded incoherent at times, and was a dud overall. The British press lambasted him, but I saw the interview and it wasn’t horrible or anything. (It’s available in two parts on YouTube. The most awkward parts are around 3:20 and 8:00 in this first video.) If anything he sounded like the drunk dude at the corner bar who thinks he’s being philosophical, makes little sense and is generally harmless. This is his job, though, and he should strive to at least be sober when he’s doing promotional duties. Can you imagine if he was wasted like that on Letterman or Leno? That story would have had a lot more mileage.

Willis covers the new issue of GQ, and his interview may reveal why he acted like that on British television. He admits that he’s no longer abstaining from alcohol and that he enjoys “wine with dinner.” Here are some excerpts from his GQ interview, with more at the source:

Bruce Willis on his advice to actors:
“I recently heard one of my fellow actors say it in three words: ‘Just shut up.’ Just go silent. Maybe it’s being older; maybe that’s just a tiny tag of wisdom, that you’ve got to think about something before you say something. I once thought that somehow, with this job, also comes the inherent right to say whatever the f*k I want regardless of whether I’m right or wrong or think that anybody needs to hear it or shouldhear it.”

…on never being nominated for an Oscar:
“I don’t think about it too much. It just always has seemed whimsical to me, to think about it. You don’t get an Oscar for comedy, and you don’t get it for shooting people. You get it for novelty, of being fascinating to watch in some character role. But the Die Hard stuff and Dirty Harry are all fraught with the same thing that every story is fraught with.”

…on his sobriety: “I had been sober [for a while]. But once I realized that I wasn’t gonna run myself off the pier of life with alcohol, drinking vodka out of the bottle every day… I have wine now, mostly when I eat.”

…on maybe trying out theater:
“I’d like to go and do theater. It seems like a more reasonable job, more manageable.”

…on future plans and if he’d pursue politics:
And nobody wants to hear this bad news, but we’re all dying on some level. I’m going to try to keep the machine moving forward as much as possible and not have to think about the eventuality of becoming more frail and less able to do the work. I know that I’m not going into politics. That’s not an option. I was asked, and I said, “Did you hear any of the stuff about me when I was a kid?”

…on Bill O’Reilly and his books: “I’ve been reading a lot of—I read a lot anyway, but—I’ve been reading a lot, in Europe. … [Bill O’Reilly] wrote about the assassination of Lincoln and the assassination of JFK. I learned more things from him and his story of JFK than I ever knew. Bill O’Reilly is a great researcher. Whatever you think about his character that he plays in the news, he’s a great researcher.”

[From GQ]

I still find Bruce Willis to be incredibly hot in theory, but there’s something sad about him when he’s drunk. He was very soft spoken and goofy and he lost his appeal for me in that interview. He had more than a couple glasses of wine at dinner that’s for sure.

Huffington Post reminds us that Bruce got sober around 1988, and that he quit his gig as a spokesperson for Seagram’s Wine Coolers because he quit drinking. I wonder if he was sober for over 20 years.

A Good Day to Die Hard is out in the US on Valentine’s Day. Can you believe that this franchise is still going strong after 25 years? The first movie came out in 1988. Matt Damon could have easily done that with the Bourne movies, he could have ridden that franchise into the ground but he knew when to step down. Bruce doesn’t mind. He said in that BBC interview that he’d do a sixth Die Hard movie.

In these photos below Bruce is shown in Paris yesterday receiving the “Commandeur dans l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres.” It’s a prestigious award from the French Minister of Culture for “significant contributions to the arts, literature, or the propagation of these fields.” His wife looks really good. She’s all of 34 now, and she had a baby about 10 months ago.

Bruce Willis calls his daughters ‘spoiled & selfish’ for ignoring their mom

In our coverage of the news that Demi Moore’s daughters are refusing to contact her, the comments have been divided between considering it tough love for an addict and finding the girls self-centered and spoiled for refusing to get in touch with their mom. It seems that Demi’s ex, Bruce Willis, is in the “spoiled” camp. He’s allegedly chastised the girls and threatened them with being cut off from his money if they don’t make up with their mom. That’s one way to get your daughters to fall in line. Here’s more:

Since Rumer, 23, Scout, 21, and Tallulah, 18, distanced themselves from their mom to get away from her emotional meltdowns, Bruce has let them know their behavior is unacceptable. “Bruce is very disappointed in them, and he’s been calling them spoiled and selfish. He doesn’t understand why they are turning on their mom when, for the most part, she’s been an incredibly supportive parent.”

The girls supported Demi through the split from Ashton Kutcher and her stay in rehab, but now they feel she should get it together on her own. Bruce, however, feels differently. “He thinks they are being way too hard on Demi,” says the source. “He still really loves her, but he has a new wife and baby to look after so it’s not as though he can do much for her.” But Bruce has a trump card to bring the girls in line: Shape up or no more allowance. “If he cuts them off, they will all be in serious trouble. None of them has money saved, and they all rely on Bruce and Demi to pay their bills. The sad thing is this means that Demi’s girls have to be paid to be nice to her.

[From Star Magazine, print edition, August 6, 2012]

There’s got to be a way for the girls to talk to their mom and set limits on how much they’re willing to be drawn into her drama. They’ve probably tried that, but let’s face it they’re all under 25 and likely have a very low tolerance for Demi. She’s partied with them, hit on their male friends, and reportedly acted like more of a “little sister” than a mom. It’s up to Demi to fix some things before she can repair her relationship with her daughters. If you believe the latest (PR-planted) reports, Demi has a hot new romance with a younger actor who could really use the publicity. Things are looking up for her and maybe she’ll be able to get her act together. If that story is a fake romance, at least she’s saving face in the media after seeing her ex so loved-up with Mila Kunis. She’s better off without the douche, but she still doesn’t seem to have realized it.

Bruce is shown in Cannes on 5-16-12. He’s also shown with daughter Rumer and wife Emma on 10-11-10. He’s shown with Demi and Rumer on 3-24-11. Demi is shown with her new “boyfriend” in a recent candid, thanks to Life & Style. Credit: WENN.com

Bruce Willis: “Mitt Romney is just such a disappointment, an embarrassment”

I’m not going to pretend that Bruce Willis’s Esquire cover story for the June issue is a laugh-a-minute. Bruce Willis is not a good interview. At all. And Esquire’s Tom Chiarella (a writer who has done some of the worst & bitchiest profiles for Esquire, but who also did that Liam Neeson sob-fest) makes that very clear by spending too much time writing about Bruce’s bathroom trips (he pees five times in two hours) and pear-eating (he eats five pears in two hours). Bruce agreed to the cover story because he has five movies coming out this year: Moonrise Kingdom, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, The Expendables 2, The Cold Light of Day and Rian Johnson’s Looper. And he’s currently filming the fifth Die Hard, of course. Now, Chiarella does make an excuse for Bruce’s lack of humor, personality and interest – the interview took place just a few days before Bruce’s wife Emma Heming gave birth, and he obviously wanted to be with her and not sitting down with Esquire. Bruce says, “All I want right now is to be with her, to stare at her belly.” Which is kind of cute, until you realize that he’s using that as an excuse to not give a good interview. You can read the full piece here, and here are some highlights:

On the latest Die Hard: “I’d call it what it is: Die Hard 5.” But he gets no say, so this time John McClane will live through A Good Day to Die Hard… No matter, he says. “I’m glad to have John McClane. There is no turmoil about it for me. I eschew turmoil. I just try to go to work, and concentrate on coming home to my girls.”

He isn’t into drama: “I don’t have an ax to grind,” he says. “I don’t have anything I want to say. I might have gone off once. I might have started in — Hollywood! With the ‘tough town, tough business, tough life.’ Generating a little context for me and my turmoil. But I don’t have a tough life. I know that… I’m happy. Actively happy. I eschew turmoil.”

Working with Wes Anderson in Moonrise Kingdom: He’s surprisingly great therein, although he claims he’s not an actor. “I don’t think I’m very good at it,” he says of acting. “But I like doing it, and a guy like Wes, even he’d say this movie was outside the body of his past work. And that was me. So I listened to what he was saying, and we got the work done.” As a sheriff and a kind of childless father, Willis plays the first-ever full-blown-adult Wes Anderson character to possess a true moral compass, one stripped of eccentricity, contrivance, fetish. Likable and unself-conscious, Willis quietly out-acts Anderson’s usual stable of pajama-wearing accents, unclipping real human kindness from the sherbet palette of the film, treating said kindness without pride, like something you might find in a desk drawer. “Storyteller,” he says of Anderson. “The movie is a kind of eternal children’s story. The kids adventure, the adults worry. But it’s a brand-new creation, and it felt very unusual to me.”

The gym: Willis details nothing about the workout, calling it only “the gym.” He’s going back at 4:00. The gym. It’s not a requirement. “That’s just me,” he says. “I’m coming off a phase where I allowed myself baked goods. I sought them out. I did not hold back on baked goods. So, the gym… The day this job gets tough will be the day I can’t run. The day I can’t move quickly or knock somebody out — at least look like I knocked somebody out, convincingly. There is a limit. An end point. It’s mostly physical. So, the gym.”

On politics: “I get cranked up, I start talking about Hollywood and what’s wrong with what. Or politics. I might start in on Mitt Romney.” Romney? “Yeah, Romney. He’s just such a disappointment, an embarrassment. Chin up, hair up. He’s just one of those guys, one of those guys who says he’s going to change everything… And he’ll get in there, and they’ll smile at him and introduce themselves: ‘We’re Congress, we make sure nothing changes.’ He won’t do it. He can’t. Everybody wants to be Barack Obama. And what did he change?” You think Romney’ll win? “No. Nah. I don’t really care.”

Bruce’s fun times: “Now I’m fun, just with fewer people. I’m in love with my wife and my kids. I require very little. Friends come over, the kids come over when they can. We eat dinner. And I’m happy to play along with their momentum. I save it for them. This is it. I’m happy. This is how I’m doing. That’s my fun.”

His favorite movie: “I like a little movie I did in the early nineties called Mortal Thoughts. The part was hardly written, but I learned a lot making it. No one remembers it.”

What he misses: “Every once in a while I want to go to a diner. I want to go to Junior’s. Or Nate ‘n Al’s. A good, cheap diner. That’s an East Coast thing. Like the rice pudding in New York. So good. Only in diners. I search for it here, but it’s not the same. Though there’s a place on Fairfax. I can’t think of the name.”

Parenting rules: “Sometimes I have to resist the urge to speak. I learned it from dealing with my kids. That’s my number-one rule. It applies in life… But it’s more about being a father. I’d rather hear what they have to say. You learn more by listening. And this stuff is just a matter of not equating drama with actions that will help them. Teach them to shun drama.”

More rules: “Take responsibility for when you are wrong… They hear you own up, and they learn to own up….You have to give them a code… Beginning with things like ‘Don’t bite people.’ That becomes something like ‘It’s not okay to be mean. Ever.’ That was our watchword when the girls were younger.” Willis’s fifth element: “I make them laugh. You gotta do the drool-take, gotta make them see that goofiness is still safe. You have to make them laugh at you.”

[From Esquire]

He comes across as… I don’t even know. I was going to say tightly-wound, but I don’t think that’s right. Like, he’s hyper-conscious of how he puts himself out there, extra-careful about any public statement. Other movie stars are like that too, of course, but they’re not this obvious about it. Still, I like Bruce’s parenting rules and I liked what he said about getting to the point where he might not be able to do physical roles anymore. Maybe he’s a completely different person in real life. He would have to be, wouldn’t he?

Bruce Willis’s wife Emma tweets great photo of Bruce & 5-week-old Mabel Ray

This is probably the cutest, sweetest, loveliest photo that exists of Bruce Willis. Bruce’s wife Emma Heming posted on her Twitter. Sidenote: did you know Emma Heming had a Twitter account? I didn’t. Anyway, Emma, Bruce and five-week-old baby girl Mabel Ray are in Budapest while, presumably, Bruce is working on a film. Perhaps it’s A Good Day To Die Hard, yet another Die Hard sequel? Probably. Emma tagged the photo with “A beautiful day in Budapest with the loves of my life. Daddy and Mabel cracking each other up.” So cute. Is that Bruce actually cracking a smile? Is the tough guy showing some vulnerability?

Even though some might think Bruce would love a son, I think he’s probably pretty happy with his daughters. Little Mabel Ray is the first child for Bruce and Emma together. Bruce has three adult daughters with Demi Moore, as you know – Rumer, 23, Scout, 20, and Tallulah, 18. By most accounts, Bruce is the “stable parent” for those girls. The tabloids even claimed that Scout and Tallulah don’t even have anything to do with Demi at this point, and when they’re in LA, they just stay with their dad permanently. I wonder how the adult girls feel about their newborn half-sister?

PS… I’m looking through Emma’s Twitter feed, and it’s kind of interesting. She tweets a lot about her boobs and nursing the baby, but she also retweeted a funny one from Coca Rocha: “No working model is happy for Brad Pitt and his new gig as the `face’ of Chanel No. 5. #ThingsBitterModelsSay”.

Bruce Willis & Emma Heming welcome a baby girl, Mabel Ray Willis

Bruce Willis & Emma Heming

Emma Heming’s pregnancy seemed to go by very quickly. Maybe that was because we barely saw her, and because Bruce Willis’s ex-wife was the one getting all of the attention for the past six months. Last October, Emma and Bruce announced that they were expecting their first child together, and now Emma has given birth… to a girl! Bruce and his girls… that man will never get a son, will he? Newborn daughter Mabel Ray Willis was welcomed into this world yesterday in LA. Everybody sounds happy and healthy:

Bruce Willis and his wife Emma Hemming welcomed a baby girl, Mabel Ray Willis, Sunday in Los Angeles, Willis’s rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The Die Hard actor and Hemming, a designer-model, “are overjoyed about the newest member of their family. Both mother and baby are healthy and doing beautifully,” says the rep.

Weighing 9 lbs., 1 oz., Mabel Ray is the first child for the couple, who have been married for three years.

Willis has three other daughters, Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah, with his ex-wife, Demi Moore.

[From People]

Bruce just turned 57. Emma is 33 years old. Bruce’s oldest child is Rumer, at 23 years old (Scout is 21, Tallulah is 18). My guess is that Emma and Bruce are just going to have the one kid together, but I always forget how young Emma is. She might get pregnant again, you never know. Bruce might have another chance for a son. What I kind of love about Bruce, though, is that he seems happy to be a father of all girls. By all accounts, he’s a doting and stable father.

Anyway, congrats to Emma, Bruce and baby Mabel Ray. In case you’re wondering, Chad Lowe and Dermot Mulroney also have daughters named Mabel. So it’s something of a trend in Hollywood. It’s such an old-fashioned name! What’s next? “Ethel”? Maple Bacon?

Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s daughters blame Ashton for her breakdown

Demi Moore is currently at an unnknown rehab receiving treatment for substance abuse issues and anorexia. Reports had her at the exclusive Cirque Lodge in Utah, but TMZ claims those stories are false and that no one knows exactly where Demi is. (She could be at Cirque and denying it in an attempt to preserve her privacy and keep the paparazzi away. I can’t blame her for that.) Radar reports that patients receiving treatment at Cirque aren’t allowed to weigh themselves or to know their current weight during weigh-ins with a doctor. Wherever Demi is, she’s hopefully detoxing and getting healthy.

The latest issue of US has an article that suggests to me that Demi is not taking responsibility for her addictions, or at least that her family is still in denial about it. It squarely places blame on her ex Ashton Kutcher as somehow triggering Demi’s latest problems. Here’s part of US’ report:

Just one week [prior to Tallulah's 18th birthday party on February 3], [Demi], 49, checked into rehab, a source confirms to Us, to seek treatment for substance abuse and an eating disorder. “Her friends and family wanted her to get help,” says a Moore source. Now Bruce, 56, and Moore’s daughters, Tallulah, Scout, 20, and Rumer, 23, are holding accountable the one person they consider responsible for her troubles – her estranged husband, Ashton Kutcher. “Bruce and the girls hate Ashton,” says another insider close to the actress…

“Her family and friends are happy Ashton is out of her life…

“This think Demi’s breakdown is his fault.” (Another source counters that Rumer, who has visited Kutcher on the Two and a Half Men set postsplit, is still close to the actor.)…

[The friendship between Bruce and Ashton] “was all a show,” the source asserts of the Die Hard actor’s friendliness. “The hatred is long-standing.”

Still, Kutcher, 34, may have made himself too scarce in recent weeks. “Ashton hasn’t been there for her,” says another insider. The one time he went to her house after her hospitalization, she wasn’t even there. But another pal defends Kutcher: “He hasn’t seen her because he doesn’t want to give her the idea that he wants to get back together…”

“Bruce is concerned about Demi,” says a Willis soure. But even he is limited. His wife, Emma Heming-Willis, 33, who is pregnant with their first child, “doesn’t want to expose their baby to any of that drama,” says the source.

[From US Weekly, print edition, February 20, 2012]

I buy that Ashton was an ass to Demi and that he cheated on, lied to and left her. We have no idea what went on in that relationship behind closed doors, or how bad it was. It’s understandable that Demi’s family hates Ashton now. Ultimately Demi is responsible for herself, though. Plenty of women go through infidelity and public humiliation and deal with it in much healthier, constructive ways. Most of those women don’t have a fraction of Demi’s means or opportunities. This is a cop out by Demi’s people. She needs to get more distance from this before putting out the next planted story.

Family photos are from The House Bunny premiere on 8-20-08. Other photo of Demi is from 9-23-11. Credit: WENN.com. Ashton is shown out in LA on 1-3-12. Credit: LRR/FameFlynet Pictures

Demi Moore’s two youngest daughters “want nothing to do with her”

This week’s In Touch cover story is all about Demi Moore’s OD and downfall, with details we’ve heard before. They do add the claim that Demi has been doing cocaine, which I sort-of buy but I also think it’s possible that she’s only hyped up on “legal” drugs like Adderall, Red Bull, “K2 Spice,” and whip-its. The thing that struck me about this story was the fact that they focus on Demi’s relationship with her two younger daughters, Tallulah, 18, and Scout, 20. Demi seems to have a friendly relationship with her oldest daughter Rumer, 23, as she was partying with Rumer in the days leading up to her hospitalization. Tallulah has been living with her dad, Bruce Willis, for some time, and Scout is off at college. According to In Touch neither daughter has wanted anything to do with their super-embarrassing mom for some time prior to her breakdown. They’re probably worried that she’s going to hit on their male friends, and for good reason. Here’s part of In Touch’s report:

Rumer may be close to her mom, but Demi’s two younger children want nothing to do with her. In fact, a friend says, youngest daughter Tallulah feels much closer to her dad, Bruce Willis – with whom she lives. “She has often requested that Demi not attend public functions with her because she’s afraid of her getting drunk, desperate and flirty,” the friend confides, adding that Tallulah, 18, has been “mortified” by Demi’s wild partying in recent weeks. “She loves her mother, but she wants her to get help,” says the friend, adding that Scout, 20, feels the same. “She’s humiliated by the way Demi’s been acting – and she’s also furious at Rumer, who she feels has been enabling her.” According to the friend, neither Scout nor Tallulah wants anything to do with Demi until she goes through rehab and gets the help she needs.

[From In Touch, print edition, February 13, 2012]

Fat chance that Demi goes to rehab. She’s turning to Kabbalah as usual to help justify her behavior. I doubt it will help her but I hope I’m wrong.

Can you imagine if your mom was partying with your sister and grinding all over guys your age? You would totally try to avoid her. But if she went through a crisis like this, I like to think I’d be there for my mom and I hope that Scout and Tallulah have stepped up.

There are plenty of other recent stories about Demi. People is reporting that Demi’s ex, Bruce Willis, wanted her to get help prior to her OD. They report that Brucewas worried about her and wanted her to get better. Many of her friends did the same thing, but she just wouldn’t listen.” Paparazzi agency X17 reports that both Bruce and Demi’s more recent ex, Ashton Kutcher, visited her separately on Wednesday. Radar has a story straight from Ashton’s camp about how much he cares for Demi and how he’s been praying for her. I know this is spin, but I want to believe this. Here’s Radar’s report:

Demi Moore’s estranged husband Ashton Kutcher was photographed going to her Benedict Canyon estate on Wednesday, but that wasn’t his first visit to her since her hospitalization, and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that the Two and a Half Men star has been praying with Demi, and offering support during this tumultuous time in her life.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the 49-year-old actress has been struggling with anorexia and had been taking the prescription drug Adderall leading up to her seizure on January 23.

Kutcher was in Brazil during Moore’s meltdown, and was criticized for partying and being seen at a concert with another woman during Demi’s time of need. However, as soon the Punk’d star returned to LA, he sought counsel and guidance from spiritual advisers at the Kabbalah Center in Beverly Hills on how he could best help Demi.

“This has been a very hard time for Ashton. He loves Demi very much, and he feels absolutely helpless right now,” a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com. “Ashton and Demi have been praying together at her house, and he mainly just wants to provide comfort to her right now.

“This absolutely isn’t a reconciliation, but there is still a lot of love there and he would never turn his back on her — it’s just not who Ashton is.”

And, while many people in Demi’s inner circle are pushing her to go to rehab, Ashton isn’t pressuring her at all to do anything she isn’t ready for.

“Ashton has had loved ones in his life that have dealt with addiction issues, and he realizes that it’s counter-productive for someone to be forced to go to rehab,” the insider says. “Ashton knows the addict has to want to get help for themselves. There is a lot of noise around Demi right now, and Ashton wants her to know he is there for her and supports her no matter what.

“Ashton absolutely wants her to get help for what he thinks is the biggest threat to her health, anorexia, but Demi just isn’t ready to take that next step yet.”

[From Radar Online]

The article goes on to claim that Ashton has been “reclusive and very somber” on the set of “Two and a Half Men.” Ashton has been partying his ass off in Brazil, he’s not all down in the dumps over Demi. It took him a while to get back to the US after her health crisis too. I believe he cares about her and is trying to help, but this portrait of him as “reclusive” and “somber” doesn’t ring true with the photos and tweets we’ve seen from him.

I hope that Demi gets sober and well, and that she’s able to retain some sort of career or life’s purpose. She’s supposedly “despondent” that she’s not getting movie roles anymore. Someone moved her cheese and she’s been making herself sick looking for it in the same place over and over again.

Scout is the blonde in sunglasses. She’s shown on 11-25-11 on a day out in Paris with her dad Bruce. Tallulah is shown with her dad and his wife Emma Heming on 2-22-10. She’s shown with her mom on 3-24-08. Rumer and Demi are shown out on 1-14-12. Credit: WENN.com

Henry Cavill poses w/ young fan in full Superman gear, goes shirtless in new trailer

Here are some new photos of Henry Cavill definitely not being mistaken for Matt Bomer as a flurry of female fans follow him down the street in Hollywood on 1/29. While the initial reaction here is “Wow!” … look at the sign behind Henry. He’s leaving the Chateau Marmont, which is a known place to be seen if one really wants to be seen. Henry’s presence at the Chateau would lend credence to the report that he quite enjoys hitting Vancouver hot spots and being a total babe magnet. Still, he seems to be fending off the paps and the chicks with a stick (ahem, tight pants), and I’ve included more photos of this spectacle at the end of this post. Let’s just assume that Henry was attending a meeting and didn’t have the foresight to arrange for more covert transport from the scene. Hopefully, he didn’t really just show up at the Chateau to incite mayhem and get photographed, right?

We can also forgive Henry for (maybe) schmoozing at a key paparazzi venue after what this next photo (from the DC Universe Twitter page) brings. Here’s Henry posing in his full Superman suit with a wee fan on the set of Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel reboot. Doesn’t this just make your ovaries go “Pop!” with joy?

Well, I bet those guys that once called Henry “Fat Cavill” are regretting their words right now. As they very well should.

Since Man of Steel won’t hit theaters until June 2013, here’s a little something to tide Cavill fans over in the form of a new poster and trailer for Cold Light of Day, a thriller that shows Henry in action mode and (conveniently) “leap[ing from] tall buildings in a single bound.” See what they did there?

Henry stars as a young man on vacation with his family, who gets kidnapped from their boat while Henry is frolicking shirtless in the ocean. Somehow, his father (Bruce Willis) escapes the attackers and then reveals himself as a member of the CIA, which sounds like — let’s face it — the makings of a really stupid movie. In addition, are we really going to buy Bruce Willis as Henry’s dad? I mean, we know what Bruce’s swimmers produce in real life. He has very dominant genes is all I’m saying. Still, can I suspend disbelief in that regard and deal with an entirely ridiculous storyline if it means getting to see Henry shirtless? Well, obviously. Cold Light of Day releases on 4/6, and here’s the trailer.

Now let’s look at more photos of Henry trying to fend off the masses. God, he is such a handsome man.

Bruce Willis takes all of his girls to Paris for Tallulah’s debutante ball

Above is a photo Rumer Willis tweeted from Paris – Rumer and her sister Scout were in Paris with their father, Bruce Willis, for the youngest Willis girl’s “coming out”. “Coming out” meaning the old-fashioned “coming out as a debutante.” I’ve only known and liked one debutante in my life – cotillions sound like fun, but then you realize how much g–damn work goes into being a debutante, and really, no thanks. Anyway, Tallulah Willis, age 17, had her coming out at Le Bal des Débutantes at the Hotel Crillon – it’s an annual event, and one of the most prestigious debutante balls in the world. Scout had her “coming out” a few years ago too. Tallulah is the one in the black and sparkly dress. I’m honestly and truly not trying to be mean, but… when did Rumer become the prettiest Willis girl? When did that happen?!?

Tallulah Willis is officially a member of high society.

The youngest daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore stepped out at Le Bal des Débutantes at Paris’s Hotel Crillon on Saturday night.

Willis, 17, wore a sleeveless black and silver sequined gown by Lanvin. Her hair was up and back in a chignon.

Tallulah’s sisters Rumer Willis and Scout Willis also attended the ball (but not as debutantes), and Rumer Tweeted a picture of them at the event.

Moore, who recently split from husband Ashton Kutcher, did not attend. But the girls’ father accompanied them to Paris and the ball.

“He was a little different than three years ago [when Scout was a debutante], more reserved,” a source at the ball tells PEOPLE. “He was there for his daughter, but protective. It wasn’t until around midnight when he danced with Tallulah that you saw him become more relaxed.”

“He’s a dad and he wanted to be certain she felt the evening was for her,” the source added.

In total, 23 young women – daughters actors, business leaders and aristocrats – from 13 countries made their debut on Saturday night at the ball, which first launched in 1957 and re-launched 20 years ago as a charity fundraiser.

Lauren Bush, who debuted at the ball in 2000, created this year’s beneficiary, the Feed Foundation, which is dedicated to fighting malnutrition.

Demi Moore was not at the event – according to reports, she was licking her wounds in Hawaii. I understand that Demi probably didn’t want to pull focus from Scout on her big debutante weekend, but still – it would have been nice if Demi had found a way to be a part of daughter’s big event. As it was, Bruce and his preggo wife Emma did all of the parent stuff, which apparently included a big shopping spree in Paris. Bruce seems like such a cool dad, right? Here are some photos of Bruce and his girls in Paris:

Demi Moore & Ashton Kutcher’s weekend at Bruce’s (update: Demi likes chicks?)

fp_8035520_mooredemi_margin
It looks like Demi and Ashton aren’t about to throw in the towel after the news of Ashton’s condomless cheating with vapid party chicks. We’ve seen them go to Kabbalah camp counseling, and we’ve heard they’re in deep negotiations to save their marriage. Staying with Demi would be a convenient way for Ashton to try and preserve his image after showing that he’s a cheater, a dumbass and a whiner. And of course Demi doesn’t have the self esteem to kick his ass to the curb like he deserves and seems to be asking for.

US Weekly is reporting that Demi and Ashton flew to Turks & Caicos last weekend and stayed at a home that Demi’s ex, Bruce Willis, owns there. They had a brief vacation and probably celebrated Moore’s 49th birthday, which was last Friday the 11th.

Last weekend, the estranged spouses sought refuge in a surprising venue: Moore’s ex-husband Bruce Willis’ vacation home in Turks and Caicos. “They had to get away,” a source tells the new Us Weekly, on stands Friday. “Ashton’s tweeting [about Penn State] was the last straw.” (Last week, Kutcher unwittingly stood up for ousted Penn State football coach Joe Paterno, who was fired amidst a huge child-abuse sex scandal. He later apologized for the incident.)

Kutcher, 33, and Moore, 49, spent time evaluating their marriage following a rocky few months that included Us Weekly’s revelation of the Two and a Half Men star’s infidelities with 22-year-old Sara Leal.

“Things have been very strained,” a source tells Us. “[But] they’re trying to figure things out,” a source tells Us.

[From US Magazine]

While Demi and Ashton were away, Ashton likely cooked up that “living in a bubble” story that was leaked to Page Six all about how we should feel sorry for him since he’s so busy making easy money filming “2 and 1/2 Men,” working on his relationship and Tweeting incessantly that he hasn’t been able to check Google News, glance at a newspaper or turn on CNN. That article, which Kaiser covered on Sunday, was also about how these two are still trying to “save” their relationship. I believe it, and I believe that Ashton will do whatever superficial “work” he needs to in order to convince Demi that he’s serious. He probably loves to have her adoring company, and he loves to have stupid young women adore him on the side. He’s not going to give up either, he’s just going to get smarter about how he cheats.

Does this mean that we should believe that story about Bruce Willis making Ashton cry and beg him for forgiveness for cheating on Demi? Maybe Bruce felt sorry for Ashton and told him he could take Demi to his vacation home, since he wasn’t using it that weekend anyway. I kind of love that visual.

Update Kaiser pointed me to this story in Star [via Jezebel] which claims that Demi likes the ladies. This would be consistent with what we heard from Ashton’s first known mistress, Sara Leal, that Demi and Ashton regularly had threesomes:

A source claims that Demi is attracted to women and much as men, and was cool with Ashton having flirtatious relationships, since she would kiss ladies now and then. But he’s been hooking up with a steady stream of young things and that was never part of the deal. Plus! “Ashton doesn’t have the same kind of respect for her that he once had. At the same time, she’s grown really insecure.” Blerg. The only good part to this sad and ugly story is the sidebar, “Demi’s Women,” (See Fig. 9) which paints her as a good-time gal possibly playing lickety split with Jen Aniston instead of the irrelevant Sunset Boulevard washed-up hag they’re usually trying to convince us she’s turned into. Maybe she should rebound with a hot young lady?

[From Jezebel, details from Star]

It could be true, but it doesn’t mean that Demi is any less devastated by Ashton stepping out on her.
