Justin Bieber tells TV staffer: “Don’t ever f-cking touch me again”

Justin Bieber performs at the 2010 Wango Tango concert in Los Angeles

Oh, this is kind of juicy! It seems little Justin “The Bieb” Bieber is something of a gutter-mouthed diva. Pretty soon he’s going to be knocking back drinks with Mariah, I can feel it. Anyway, several weeks ago The Bieb went to Australia, do you remember? All hell broke loose Down Under, as Aussie tweens basically went bat-sh-t crazy just hearing that The Bieb was in their country. In addition to some scheduled performances, The Bieb was also doing press. One of the outlets that got a Bieb interview was a morning show called Mike E and Carmela in the Mix. The co-host of the show is named David Koch, and Koch just recently told an interesting story about what The Bieb was like behind-the-scenes of the TV show. Apparently, The Bieb is kind of a bitch.

THE sheen is coming off Canadian teenager Justin Bieber with revelations the star told a Sunrise floor manager “don’t ever f**king touch me again”. Sunrise co-host David “Kochie” Koch made the revelations on Sydney radio station Mix FM.

“We had him on and he was a thoroughly nice bloke, really decent guy,” Koch said. “Our floor manager was directing him to where he was about to perform and he turned around to Nick and said ‘don’t ever f**king touch me again’ and Nick went ‘What?’,” Koch told the Mike E and Carmela in the Mix breakfast show.

“And then his sound guy, his audio guy said ‘don’t take offence mate he tells us that all the time’. So I was a little disappointed in that… I thought maybe someone needs to drag you aside and give you a bit of a slap.”

Bieber appeared on the show amid wild scenes late last month when police had to cancel his only Australian performance because several young fans were crushed in the hysterical 4000-strong crowd. His performance was instead moved to the Sunrise studios in Martin Place in central Sydney. The 16-year-old star was to perform at the overseas passenger terminal in Circular Quay where teenage fans had been camped out since 6pm the night before.

But Bieber has slammed the claims on his Twitter account.

“Family time with my mom couldn’t come at a better time….I was raised to respect others and not gossip…nor answer gossip with anger,” he wrote on Twitter. “I know my friends family and fans know the person I am. Hearing adults spread lies and rumors is part of the job I guess.”

The ugly swearing incident follows news of another tantrum the singer reportedly pulled during an interview in the UK. When asked by a radio presenter about his recent tattoo, Bieber gave him the finger and stormed out of the interview PerezHilton.com reports. The young star, who travels with his mum, was discovered by US artist Usher after his YouTube videos became an internet hit.

[From News.com.au]

Yeah, he denied it. So maybe it’s bullsh-t. Or maybe it’s true and he really didn’t want some dude touching him. I have moments like that too, where someone is seemingly too-friendly, too touchy-feely, and I throw a “Don’t touch me” around. If it’s true, there could be explanations for it. If it’s false, then whatever, and why is this Koch dude telling Bieb stories? Eh. I guess it’s shocking because he dropped the F-bomb? I didn’t think he had it in him.

Kate Gosselin stomps her way through DWTS finale: “I’m so controversial”

*Actual performance begins around the 3 minute mark*

As many of you probably saw, Kate Gosselin returned for the big Dancing With the Stars finale last night. She even danced! And she did my favorite dance of all time, “Paparazzi”. When she did it during the competition, she looked like a deranged drag queen, stomping and clawing her way through the “dance” – when she wasn’t being dragged along by her poor partner like the rhythm-less dead weight that she was and is. For her finale performance, Kate did “Paparazzi” then mixed it up with “I Will Survive”. And you know that sh-t was terrible. Kate still sucks the life out of any dance.

Okay, Kate gave a million interviews last night, and there’s a ton of info about her appearance, so I’m just trying to do the best and worst pieces:

For her encore performance on Tuesday’s Dancing with the Stars finale, a smiling Kate Gosselin revamped her notorious “Paparazzi” routine. When the music segued into disco classic “I Will Survive,” partner Tony Dovolani ripped off her skirt to reveal a sparkly micro skirt beneath. The number ended with the 35-year-old mom ascending high into the air on a platform; a close-up camera caught her giggling awkwardly.

Despite much-documented friction with Dovolani during her run on the show, Gosselin said before her dance, “for the record, Tony, I heart you,” tracing a heart shape with her fingers.

In rehearsal footage, the reunited pair clashed over how to rework their routine. “I wanted to make it more difficult because that’s really who I am,” she explained — but then balked when Dovolani suggested to saunter up to the judges. “I’m afraid to do that part!”

Sighs a frustrated Dovolani: “It’s one thing saying… you want something, it’s a whole other thing to do it.”

As they practiced, the 35-year-old reality star surmised: “I would guess that 90 percent of my audience doesn’t like me. I’m so controversial.”

Of her dancing skills? “I could stand there in the middle of the floor and people would [still] judge me. It doesn’t matter if I did a Nicole [Scherzinger] or Evan [Lysacek] performance,” she adds. “I would still get picked apart to pieces — so I might as well have fun with it.”

The Kate Plus 8 and Twist of Kate star adds: “I would really like America to see the real me. Just doing my best, laughing at myself.”

[From Us Weekly]

Because it’s all about her. That’s what I always think with Kate: “IT’S ALL ABOUT ME!!!” She was also promoting her new show, telling E! News: “Kate Plus 8, presto chango! The kids and I went away on a birthday adventure—my six turned six. I’m old. And then we have Twist of Kate. That is a show that is just me, not including the kids. I’m very excited to get that on the road.” She also rambled on an on about herself to Radar, saying, “You know, moms-of-eight don’t typically do this, but you know what, whatever, I just had fun and this week was so much fun practicing, we practiced less and laughed more, and I just had a blast. This was just my redemption week. I know that a lot of people love me and support me, and I know that because when I’m at Target, they scream across the aisles, when I’m at the airport they’re screaming for gates saying ‘We love you Kate, we support you,’ and for that I really have no words, cause you know, how many times in life do you get to do your daily errands and people say ‘I love you?‘” Barf.

Meanwhile, PopEater’s gossip guy has some hilariously bitchy quotes from a DWTS insider, all about what a f-cking diva Kate is: “We had all forgotten just what a nightmare Kate was. She is the only celebrity in the entire 10 seasons who has demanded a security guard be with her at all times, and nothing anyone does is good enough. Last night, she actually wanted the temperature of the ballroom changed before she hit the floor. Kate hates to sweat and this was just another opportunity for her to be difficult.” Oh, and none of costume designers or makeup artists wanted to work with her last night, they had to flip a coin to see which poor bastard had to do her.

Katherine Heigl on the diva criticism: “It’s important to be honest”

bazaarcover

I’m seriously starting to wonder if the stylists and editors over at Harper’s Bazaar have something of a Grace Kelly fetish. They got their hands on yet another blonde cover girl – this time Katherine Heigl – and made her look very Grace Kelly-ish. They did the same thing with Gwyneth Paltrow for her Harper’s photo shoot. Well, Goopy’s was Grace Kelly-meets-Lady-of-the-manor. For Heigl, they just gave her some dogs to play with. Just as well, Heigl loves dogs. She has six dogs! She also loves her daughter, Naliegh, and Heigl talks a lot about Naleigh in the interview (full piece here):

On rescuing puppies: She heads to an outdoor deck, leaving Naleigh to watch The Backyardigans with her husband, singer Josh Kelley, and Mojo, one of their six dogs. For the moment, the rest of the pack is at the park, so the house is relatively quiet. When Katherine found Mojo on the set of 27 Dresses, Josh told her no more dogs. “I started crying,” says Katherine, who everyone calls Katie. “I said, ‘Where’s your heart? Where’s your soul? I’m supposed to be marrying you, and you don’t know who I am by now,’ and he’s like, ‘Fine, just take the dog. Jesus.’”

On Naleigh’s medical condition: Though Naleigh has been described in the press as special-needs, she was actually born with a congenital heart problem that was fixed via open-heart surgery before she left Korea. “Her heart is 100 percent fine now. She has a scar, so she won’t be wearing bikinis, which is fine by us,” Katherine explains, unembarrassed by her overprotectiveness. “A lot of children don’t find forever homes because they’re on that special-needs list, even if it’s because of something as simple as her mother smoked cigarettes for a month, not knowing she was pregnant. That’s not so huge that you couldn’t handle it.”

On working with babies in her new film Life as We Know It: “It was crazy, because as my character was learning how to take care of a one-year-old, I was too. But as I was working with these gorgeous little triplets who play my child, I was feeling bad that I was spending more time with them than with my own kid. And that broke my heart.”

Spending three months solid with her husband Josh Kelley, the most time they’ve spent together all the way through: “There were a good few weeks when I almost smothered him with his pillow,” she says. But that’s marriage, she adds: “two people with totally different lives and totally different experiences just trying to fit.”

On the diva criticisms, or why she‘s a loud-mouth: “I spent so many years just saying what I felt without thinking about the ramifications, without understanding that I have this opinion but not everyone might share that opinion and now they don’t like me because of it. That was really awkward. I hate it when people say this, but I’m a people pleaser. I was really raised with the idea that it’s important to be honest and to share your experiences, both disappointing and exhilarating. But sometimes I think the American public just wants to see my life as good fortune. They don’t want to know about the day-to-day. It ruins the fantasy. It’s lame to say that I’m a normal girl, but I think I am.”

On competing with other celebrity moms: She also finds it a challenge to keep up with the fashions of fellow celebrities’ daughters, like Suri Cruise or Zahara Jolie-Pitt. “Dude, I try, but I’m not nailing the baby fashion. It’s intimidating. I get beautiful outfits from Gap and baby Juicy, but I’m not layering it or putting her in Prada flats. It’s really stressing me out.” She also doesn’t want her daughter to grow up to be a spoiled rich kid. “I want her privilege to afford her to seek many different things that might fulfill her. I don’t want her to have a Beemer on her 16th birthday or spend the summer at a beach house with friends. Nope. You want a beach house, you pay for it.”

On Hollywood: “High school on steroids.” She and Kelley are considering a move to Nashville so he can be closer to his country-music career.

Dreams for Naleigh: Perhaps Naleigh will become “a Korean country-music star. That’d be sick,” she laughs. “I know she’s going to get pushed into music.”

On her relationship with her mom: “The relationship I have with my mother is rare, and I know for some people it looks like I’m a real mama’s girl. I never cut the apron strings, but that’s one thing I will never deny. It has saved me.”

Ashton Kutcher… “looks so hot with his shirt off.”

Plans for the future: “Now it’s time to reevaluate and grow up. I hope by my mid-30s, I get to the point where I don’t doubt myself. I’m going to make mistakes and say stupid things, but I won’t have to sit in a room in the dark and wonder, ‘Am I a bad person?’ It will be ‘Okay, Katie, enough with the drama.’”

[From Harper’s Bazaar]

Eh. I really do have moments when I actually like her, like when she talking about her dogs or her baby. I think that part of her is genuine. But I also think she is a self-absorbed, narcissistic, loud-mouthed, unprofessional, shoot-herself-in-the-foot diva. And it’s not just “saying stupid things”. Megan Fox says stupid things. Megan Fox is a f-cking idiot. Katherine Heigl is not. The things she’s said aren’t dumb, they’re unprofessional, rude and contradict this “I’m just a normal girl, I’m accessible” image that she’s selling.

Jennifer Lopez demands $3000 diamond headphones to block the sound of poverty

world_music_awards_43_wenn2852308

These are all photos of Jennifer Lopez in Monaco yesterday, at the World Music Awards. She not only showed up for the red carpet (in the black and white gown), she performed (in the minidress and boots) and she won some award (in the gold and black gown). Three costume changes for one event? Our old J.Lo is back! Oh, and how. The Daily Mirror got their hands on Jennifer’s rider (her list of demands) for her performance in Monaco, and it’s priceless. She needed a helicopter on standby… just because. She needed $3000 daimond-encrusted headphones… just to keep the noise of the motor boat (re: poverty) down. Oh, and don’t even ask for her specifications for the motorboat:

When J-Lo agreed to sing at the World Music Awards she was determined everyone would dance to her tune. Before gearing up for the star-studded event in Monte Carlo last night – where guests included Peter Andre and Heroes actress Hayden Panettiere – Ms Lopez made sure her every whim would be catered for.

We got our paws on her rider as she was ferried by speedboat from Cannes to Monaco – and as far as diva-like demands go, it makes Mariah Carey look small time. As well as a helicopter “on stand-by”, Jennifer, 40, insisted on a custom-fitted speed boat – complete with love seat, faux leather seats and a champagne fridge – oh, and a pair of £3,000 diamond-encrusted headphones to keep the noise of the boat’s motor down.

On her list for when she actually arrived in Monaco was an on-call masseuse, a 12-strong hair and make-up team, a hotel floor to herself and a stretch of private beach.

But when we bumped into the stunning star, who was to receive a WMA gong for Outstanding Contribution to the Arts, she couldn’t have been nicer.

We met Jen as she checked into her five-star hotel with hubby Marc Antony and their twins Emme and Max. And she promptly invited us to join her backstage at the awards.

After ordering a massage, she headed back to her suite, but not before telling us: “Hey ladies, I’ll be seeing you later! Get ready to party.” You’re on.

Our source says: “Jennifer was partying on board Sir Philip Green’s yacht in Cannes before being transferred by speed boat to Monaco for the WMA. Her people requested that she have an entire floor of the hotel to herself to ensure she wasn’t hassled. Privacy was a main concern so she had a piece of beach roped off, too. She spent the morning playing there with the kids. But she declined the offer of a butler, insisting she was happy to do things for herself.”

Like what – brush her own teeth?

[From The Mirror]

So she’s still lives in a world that guarantees her diamond encrusted headphones to block out the sounds of poverty. She’s a diva, alright? And a diva can withstand any recession.

Meanwhile, I just can’t get enough of these photos. Jennifer really does think she’s God’s gift. Bless her heart.

Glee creator defends Lea Michele against diva criticism

Photo by: Raoul Gatchalian/starmaxinc.com @2010 05/17/10 Lea Michele (GLEE) at the 2010 F
A couple of weeks ago, we heard that Lea Michelle, Rachel Berry on the Fox hit Glee, got annoyed at a photographer who didn’t know who she was at the Time 100 Gala. As far as diva moments go, it was a minor one, with Lea giving two fake names to the photographer, Sarah Palin and Taylor Swift. Lea then apologized a few days later via Twitter, well after the news had spread, writing that she “made a silly joke that didn’t go over, so sorry.” A lot of people don’t like Lea because she gives off a smug vibe, but I think she’s doing ok and handling her newfound fame relatively well. She had a slip up and got snotty, which happens to the best of us. If we hear that she has more diva moments then we’ll have to assume she’s like that all the time and wasn’t just having a bad day.

Anyway Glee creator Ryan Murphy spoke with People Magazine at an event and had nothing but praise for Lea’s attitude and professionalism. He said she’s always on time and friendly to co-workers. It strikes me that this guy tells it like it is, although he may be praising Lea partially because she’s one of the leads on the show and he can’t afford to lose her. Murphy also claimed that he told Lea that people would try and bring her down once her star was rising:

“[The rumors are] not accurate and not true at all,” Murphy told PEOPLE at the 69th Annual Peabody Awards in New York City on Monday, where the hit musical was honored for its achievement in diversity and content. “Lea is the sweetest, most professional girl. She’s incredibly kind and she’s always on time and she’s always with her cast hanging out. They’re all close.”

As for how to combat the reports — including stories about tension between Michele and her costars — Murphy says he’s offered her advice on how to ignore the gossip.

“I told Lea this would happen to her in July of last year. Just wait, people will start to write untruths,” says Murphy. “I told her, ‘Keep your chin up and it just happens. It’s happened to me and it’s happened to everyone. So don’t pay attention to it.’ But it’s definitely not true. Lea is great.”

[From People]

Maybe Lea is suffering because she’s only associated with one character and that character is a taskmaster with a type-A bitchy personality. It doesn’t help that she shows up at countless events looking like she’s gracing us with her presence, though. She should tone it down and work on cultivating a more approachable image.

The Glee four city concert tour is underway, and at $75 and up a ticket the show is being criticized for low production value and a bare bones set. Still, it consists of the younger stars performing hits from the show live, which is a real thrill for fans.

Tomorrow night’s episode of the show will feature a cameo by Neil Patrick Harris as a school board member trying to take down Glee director Will Schuester. Harris spoke to OK! Magazine about the show and said that he was surprised how hard they worked, explaining “I thought it would be much more hilarious on set, but everyone is so exhausted and overworked there.” I’m excited to see Harris on Glee! The show is picking up steam again after kind of faltering with too many big production numbers on the Madonna episode, in my opinion. They need to be careful to strike a balance between giving us the characters and plot twists we love and not going overboard with the musical numbers.

Lady Gaga was a diva at the Met Gala, might be feuding with Bono
Lady Gaga Arrives In Japan

I’ve been waiting for any behind-the-scenes news about any kind of drama going down at Monday’s Costume Institute Met Gala, but I wasn’t expecting this – apparently, Lady Gaga was the night’s big diva. Gaga didn’t walk the red carpet, so we don’t have access to any photos of her costume – but you can see photos of her at HuffPo. It looks like a fancier version of the catsuit Jennifer Lopez wore for New Year’s. Anyway, Gaga didn’t walk the red carpet, and when she arrived, she ran to her dressing room and wouldn’t come out until Oprah “coaxed” her out. What gives, Gah?

Lady Gaga’s penchant for bizarre behavior continued at Monday’s Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Gaga was the slated performer at Vogue editor Anna Wintour’s annual fete, co-hosted this year by Oprah Winfrey and Gap creative director Patrick Robinson, though she refused to walk the red carpet and remained locked inside her dressing room for most of the evening.

“She literally wouldn’t come out,” says a spy. “Friends tried, [Warner Music exec] Lyor Cohen tried, no dice. Eventually, Vito Schnabel came over and got [artist] Terence Koh on the phone to talk to her, which helped. Koh and Oprah were the ones who finally coaxed her out.”

Once on stage, Gaga told the 700 assembled guests — including Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, Diane von Furstenberg, Barry Diller and Mayor Bloomberg — how she got the gig.

“I’ll never forget when Anna Wintour called me to play at this event, she called me and said, ‘I would like you to play at the Met gala, but I just want to make sure, because I’ve seen you perform before, that you won’t be swearing during the performance,’ ” Gaga explained. “So Anna, I will do my [bleep]-ing best!”

Most of the crowd seemed to enjoy the performance, except Bono — who left half-way through.

Later, at an after-party at the Mark Hotel, Pharrell Williams, Sean Combs, Usher and Justin Timberlake ended up having an impromptu jam session with DJ Cassidy.

“Pharrell first jumped in and started singing ‘Beautiful,’ and then Puffy jumped up and started rapping to ‘All About the Benjamins.’ He even grabbed Anna Wintour into the deejay booth. Finally, Usher and Justin joined in.”

Jude Law, Sienna Miller and January Jones were among those at the Mark, but it was Katy Perry who attracted the most attention. “She was out of control,” says a spy. “She was wearing a dress that had LED lights, and the switch was near her boobs. She was literally having people grope her to turn the dress on.”

[From Page Six]

Ooohhh… I wonder if Bono and Gaga are mortal enemies? They seem unlikely foes, but you can never tell with the two of them. That’s also interesting about Katy Perry. She wasn’t my choice for biggest disaster, but I’ll take it. My picks were Kate Hudson and Jessica Biel, just for the possible catfight they would have had over Justin Timberlake.

Naomi Campbell hilariously tries “petulant diva” act for Oprah, fails
To Match Interview RUSSIA-NAOMICAMPBELL/

I hope everyone watched Naomi Campbell’s epic appearance on Monday’s Oprah. It was almost as insane as the Rielle Hunter interview, only I get the feeling Oprah kind of likes Naomi Campbell, whereas Oprah thought Rielle was a crazy bitch (truth). I was proud that Oprah didn’t send softballs to Naomi the entire time, but Oprah seemed preoccupied with the whole question of “Why you so mad? What’s behind that anger?” Meanwhile, Naomi gave Oprah a look every now and then like “You want see what’s behind the anger, Oprah? It’s a bedazzled phone, and it’s coming straight for your head.”

No, I jest. Naomi did tell Oprah what it was like inside her head when she’s about to attack someone – Naomi told Oprah she “sees red” and “Then I don’t see. I act out. [Immediately afterwards] I feel remorseful. I feel ashamed. I feel for them… [I think,] ‘What have I done to them?’ If I’ve hurt them.” To her credit, Naomi did sound slightly genuine. Maybe she does feel bad after she beats someone – many abusers do. When pressed for further explanation of “why?”, Naomi told Oprah: “I think it comes from a deeper place than that. It comes from another type of emotional disorder, because it’s not just, ‘I don’t get what I want. I throw…It comes from, I think, an abandonment issue… just trying to build up a family around me that’s not my immediate family. And if I feel a mistrust, then I really just…all my cards go down.”

Naomi also talked about her cocaine addiction: “I never, ever had to have a dealer. It made you feel like insatiable, but at the end, it was a destroyer. It’s really a devil’s drug.” And her sobriety, telling Oprah she’s been sober from drugs for six years, and sober from alcohol for a year and a half.

Now, one of the more interesting parts was Naomi discussing the most recent incident of violence and insanity, when she was being interviewed by ABC News two weeks ago. When questioned by an ABC reporter about allegedly receiving a blood diamond from genocidal war criminal Charles Taylor, Naomi refused to answer certain questions, then walked out of the interview, slapping a camera on her way out. When Oprah asked her about the incident – not just the ABC interview, but the incident with Charles Taylor, Naomi’s response was very f-cked up. First, regarding the “slapping the camera” thing, Naomi said she never punched the camera, and “There definitely is sound effects… There were three cameras, and I went to walk out the door, and the other one came in the way. So I moved the first one out to get to the door, and there were two more.” But, Naomi won’t talk about the blood diamond she allegedly received because “I don’t want to put my family in danger.” Here’s more:

Naomi Campbell told Oprah Winfrey today that she fears for the safety of her family and that is why she has refused to cooperate with prosecutors who are trying a former African dictator for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Prosecutors allege that Charles Taylor, former president of Liberia, gave Campbell a blood diamond, the kind of gem Taylor is accused of using to buy guns for rebel groups in neighboring Sierra Leone who terrorized civilians and killed and maimed tens of thousands.

“I don’t want to be involved in this man’s case—he has done some terrible things and I don’t want to put my family in danger,” Campbell told Oprah and her millions of viewers during an episode of the talk show that will air Monday.

Oprah was attempting to ask Campbell about a dinner in South Africa that was attended by Mia Farrow, Campbell, other celebrities and then-South African president Nelson Mandela. Charles Taylor was also present just before the dinner. According to Farrow, Campbell told her the morning after the dinner that Taylor had sent some of his men to her room in the night to present her with a large uncut diamond.

Campbell told Oprah that she was a guest of Mandela at his home at the time of the September 1997 dinner, and that Charles Taylor had shown up unexpectedly.

“He wasn’t invited,” said Campbell. “He wasn’t part of our group, but he did show up. We understood that after it was explained to us.”

At New York Fashion Week in February, Campbell denied receiving a diamond from Taylor when asked about it by ABC News.

“I didn’t receive a diamond and I’m not going to speak about that, thank you very much. And I’m not here for that,” said Campbell.

She stormed out of the interview, slapping a producer’s camera.

Campbell claimed to Oprah that there was “a sound effect” added to the ABC News reports on the incident.

ABC News did not add any sound effects to the ABC News reports on the alleged blood diamond gift, which aired April 22 on both World News and Nightline.

[From ABC News]

Really? You’re going to play the “he could come after my family if I have to admit to the war crimes tribunal at the Hague that Charles Taylor gave me an uncut blood diamond” card? How played out! Naomi is so full of sh-t it’s not even funny. The fact that she wouldn’t even answer the question about whether or not she received a blood diamond destroys whatever genuine remorse she may have had about her abusive personality.

Also, do you know what I enjoyed? Naomi’s “boyfriend” was in the audience – he’s a Russian billionaire named Vladimir Doronin. He’s married, and has been for a long time, although he told Oprah, he “has been separated more than 10 years.” I enjoyed Oprah’s judgy voice when she was questioning “Vlad” about his marriage. I chuckled, I really did. I didn’t think Oprah was that ballsy.

Whitney Houston’s inner circle plans an intervention

Whitney Houston Performs At The O2 Arena
It looks like the National Enquirer, once again, was right on the money. New reports confirm the report earlier this month that troubled singer Whitney Houston’s close advisors and familly are scheduling an intervention as rumors of erratic behavior plague her comeback tour. And get this: Bobby Brown, once Whitney’s partner in crack, has agreed to help.

Though Whitney Houston’s official camp denies the fading diva has fallen off the wagon and blames her recent concert problems on health-related issues, I’m hearing some longtime close Houston friends and family members suspect otherwise.

A veteran associate of the superstar told me Tuesday, ”a couple of us are even seriously thinking of flying to Europe — now that we can [referring to the Icelandic volcano] — and facing Whitney in person and figuring this out.

”We have known her for so long, we will know immediately if she’s using again.”

• The source said even Houston’s ex-husband Bobby Brown — who himself long struggled with drug addiction — has been approached about reaching out to his former wife. Brown reportedly has been clean and sober for quite some time and supposedly is open to helping Houston.

• Though Houston’s reps admit the singer is frustrated that her voice is failing her — and disappointing her many fans — they claim the entertainer is working through all of it and will soon be back on track.

• Another BZ [ed.note: Bill Zwecker] source, who saw Houston at Claridge’s Hotel in London the other night, reports the singer ”was visibly upset and seemed kind of out of it … talking, or rather jabbering, nonstop to the people she was with.”

[From Chicago Sun Times]

Meanwhile there are more reports from Whitney’s tour about her once-soaring voice that is now struggling. In her concert earlier this week in Tobago, Whitney only performed for 30 minutes and had a hard time hitting high notes throughout the concert.

R&B diva Whitney Houston disappointed a sold-out crowd who came to see a rare performance by the trouble-prone singer at the Plymouth Jazz Festival in Tobago on Sunday, April 27.

The ‘Greatest Love of All’ singer performed on the last night of the festival, just before headliner Rod Stewart took the stage.

Houston opened her show with ‘Its Not Right, But Its Okay’ and by her third song, ‘Saving All My Love,’ the once soprano’s newfound tenor tone was in full rasp.

Delivering only seven songs during her 30 minute set, Houston was reportedly paid a whopping $3 million for the show.

Though journalists were flown in from all over the world, Houston refused to allow media and photographers within 200 feet of the stage. She brought her own photographer to the venue and only he was allowed to shoot her performance.

Wearing a white gown with a single shoulder strap, Houston skipped around the stage and continuously shouted to the crowd: “I love you Trinidad!’

Unfortunately, the concert was in Tobago!

[From AOL Black Voices]

It is sad to see that years of abuse have ruined one of the greatest modern R&B voices. There was a time when Whitney’s vocals could smoke anyone. Now, she can’t even make it through a half hour set. It’s a shame. And if the reports of this intervention are true, it needs to happen soon. If she keeps blowing these concerts and disappointing her fans, I doubt she will get another shot at a comeback.

Kate Gosselin is a crazy diva/monster, she thinks she’s a major celebrity

usweekly1

Unfortunately, we’re not the only ones who noticed that Kate Gosselin is f-cking hilarious on Dancing With the Stars. Kate “won” two tabloid covers this week, Life & Style and Us Weekly. L&S is running an “exclusive” about Kate’s new book (which comes out next week), claiming that Kate is “spilling family secrets and exploiting the children more than ever”. Juicy! Or not. Meanwhile, Us Weekly just seems content to slam Kate for her “diva” behavior on the set of DWTS. I’m totally enjoying all of the descriptions of how horrible she is:

Kate Gosselin is so standoffish on Dancing With the Stars, she has show staffers contact her through her bodyguard, reports the new issue of Us Weekly, on stands today.

“When the show needs to contact Kate, they go through Steve,” a production source tells Us, adding that having personal security is not the norm for any of the other star competitors. “She acts like a major celebrity. It’s a joke with the cast, like, ‘Oh, look out — the bodyguard is watching!’”

And it’s not just any bodyguard. Gosselin, 35, travels between her $1.1 million home in Pennsylvania and DWTS’ Los Angeles set with Steve Neild — with whom she’s been accused of having an affair by her estranged husband Jon. (Both Kate and the married Neild have denied infidelity.)

In fact, an insider tells Us that Gosselin and Neild even stay in adjoining hotel rooms in L.A. Gosselin — who was criticized as looking like a “super bitch from hell” during last Monday’s dance — hasn’t bothered getting to know any of the other contestants either.

“When she is getting her hair done, she is on her BlackBerry the whole time… [she] is not making herself likable,” another insider says, adding that the type-A mom of twins Mady and Cara, 9, and sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel and Leah, has not been invited out to any of the cast’s Monday postshow afterparties.

“If she tagged along, they wouldn’t ask her to leave, but they wouldn’t be overjoyed either. She’s not much fun,” a production source says.

Still, pro dancer Derek Hough defends Gosselin.

“If anyone is allowed to be stressed, it’s Kate,” he tells Us. “She is so out of her element. She can act any way she wants, in my book.”

[From Us Weekly]

I don’t get the defense of Kate as “she’s so out of her element” or stuff like “she’s working so hard, give her a break”. Because DWTS is what she signed on for of her own free will – and she’s horrible at it, and she should stop. But she won’t because she’s vain and she’s a diva and she’s a nut job. Speaking of, Life & Style’s excerpts of Kate’s book are truly disgusting:

ls

Ex-husband Jon Gosselin is heading back to court for primary custody of his eight children on the basis that Kate is neglecting the kids. Now Life & Style can reveal she’s exploiting their children more than ever in her new book.

Life & Style has exclusively obtained a copy of Kate Gosselin’s new book, entitled I Just Want You to Know: Letters to my children on Love, Faith and Family. In the tome, Kate pens a deeply personal letter to each of her eight children. Among the secrets, Life & Style can reveal Kate finally owns up to bullying her ex-husband. “Much of what I said to Jon was unwarranted,” she admits. “I could have watched what I said better, I could have guarded my tongue better. I wanted to communicate better, but I often failed.”

Besides not asking for help and berating Jon, Kate writes that she didn’t take enough responsibility for day-to-day planning for the family. “I also didn’t focus on the fact that much of the responsibility for our children, the finances, the schedules and the decisions about the future was on me.”

In her letter to son Aaden, she apologizes for taking away his dad. “I do not possess the skills to father you,” she writes. “But I will do everything I can to show you the way.”

And she even apologizes for ruining her once perfect family. Writing to son Collin, Kate cruelly implies that the 6 -year-old has a fear of abandonment — and that her split with Jon has hit him the hardest. “I will never leave you,” she writes to him. “I know that all the recent events in our family structure have greatly upset you, maybe you most of all. When I leave for work, I will always come back.”

On page after page, Kate recounts in vivid detail each child’s suffering because of the divorce. However, Kate doesn’t seem concerned about how her kids will react to the book. “She’s back in diva mode,” an insider confirms to Life & Style. “She’s not the sweet, humble woman she’s been pretending to be.”

[From Life & Style]

To be fair, I don’t think the kids have any comprehension at this time just how f-cked up their parents are. But they’ll soon find out, and it will horrible. And, yes, I believe that Kate is not anywhere close to “sweet” and “humble”. I believe she is deranged. I know this, because of this video:

Jennifer Lopez demanded an 8-months-pregnant butt double
at the CBS Films ShoWest Luncheon 2010

I keep forgetting about Jennifer Lopez! She’s got a new movie coming out in a few weeks. It’s The Backup Plan, that movie about a woman who gets knocked up and then meets the man of her dreams (Alex O’Loughlin, who I keep thinking is Michael Vartan – they look alike!). Here’s the trailer:

Anyway, Jennifer’s promotional duties are gearing up, and she’s done a bunch of interviews over the past few days. I saw her the other night talking about motherhood on E! News or something, and she just seemed… I don’t know. Maybe I’m not used to the “New Jennifer”. Because she seems so much like the Old Jennifer, only now she has babies. It’s weird. In any case, this interview cracked me up. Apparently, there’s a scene in The Backup Plan where you get to see Jennifer’s big, bare, pregnant butt. Except it’s not really her ass! Listen to this… chuckle:

In “The Back -Up Plan,” Jennifer Lopez’s new rom-com, there’s a scene where her pregnant-with-twins character is facing a mirror, checking out her expanding naked body.

When her boyfriend (Alex O’Loughlin) comes in the room, she races into the closet to hide and audiences get a glimpse of her character’s bare bum.

Well, guess what, that’s not really Jennifer. She gave The Dish Rag the real scoop at the junket today (Mar. 30)

“I just thought that a naked pregnant woman checking herself out would just be so funny,” Jennifer said. “I actually wish there was more of it in the movie. It was my idea to put it in because I remember being pregnant and marveling at the hugeness of my body, you know, like, looking at the mirror at all angles, but it’s something you do privately.”

“I really like that scene … and I thought we should have a real pregnant lady double with the real pregnant body do it. So that’s what we did. That’s an eight months pregnant woman.”

Did she get to cast her butt double? Like you had to ask?

“You talk about casting challenges,” says director Alan Poul. “That was the the most uncomfortable, to ask these pregnant women to show us their bodies.”

“But they did and they were fine with it,” adds Jennifer. “And they were beautiful.”

[From The Dish Rag]

I love the idea of Jennifer sitting around asking pregnant women to disrobe and show her their asses. For casting purposes! And you know she was probably right there, taking notes on all of the knocked up ladies. I don’t think I would want to take off my clothes in front of J.Lo. But that’s because I’m afraid she would try to make me put on some yeast-infection-y leather catsuit.

In one other piece of J.Lo news, she got another record deal! Back in February, she got dumped from Epic after a decade-long collaboration that created such gems as “Love Don’t Cost A Thing” and “Fresh Out The Oven”. Jennifer confirmed that she’s just signed on to Island’s Def Jam, which is the home of hitmaker L.A. Reid, who has worked wonders with Pink’s career. Well done, Jennifer!
