Scarlett Johansson vacations in Hawaii with Nate Naylor, shows off her bikini body

Here are some photos of Scarlett Johansson on vacation in Hawaii with some friends, and with her new boyfriend/ad man/the most beautiful man in the world, Nate Naylor. There aren’t that many pics of Nate on the beach, the photographers were just concentrating on Scarlett in her bikini. There were several stories in this week’s tabloids about Scarlett and Nate, all of them in the same “He’s so amazing, Scarlett is so lucky to be with him” vein as People Mag’s ass-kissy article introducing him to the world. Is Nate the one “leaking” all of these quotes about how great he is? I hope not, but I suspect he is. A source tells Us Weekly, “They met though mutual friends. And they were hot and heavy right off the bat.” They were briefly separated while Scarlett worked in Scotland, and “Scarlett missed him while she was in Europe. Now they’re really going to spend time together.” You can see a photo of them making out here.

Beyond the Nate stuff, people are talking about Scarlett’s body in this bikini. Personally, I think she looks good. Yes, she has some cellulite – most people do. It’s not the end of the world, and I think the way the sunlight is hitting her body is affecting the “look” of the cellulite anyway. But seriously, she has a really nice figure – she looks like she eats and works out sometimes, but she doesn’t get stressed about it. I’ll make fun of her for being a vapid twit, but not for her figure. The only thing bugging me is that her boobs look so much smaller in that bikini top, right? Are her boobs actually that small, or is that bikini top just really unflattering?

Scarlett Johansson, Democrat, worries about Rick Santorum’s sweater vests

These are some new photos of Scarlett Johansson out in NYC last night with her brother Hunter. Hunter was her date for Runway To Win Launch fundraiser for Pres. Obama. Lots of fashion designers and Vogue people were at the event, but ScarJo was one of the few actresses. So she ended up getting a lot of face time with the media outlets covering the event, and she ended up sounding extremely vapid. Like, I understand that she was at a political fundraiser, and I’m not hating on her because she’s a staunch Democrat – those are my politics too! But I’m so wary of celebrities pontificating out of their ass about anything political, and I don’t think ScarJo is the brightest or the most eloquent of the Democrat celebrities, you know?

So, first off, Us Weekly had a story about Scarlett getting on her high horse about how she’s NOT going to go to fashion shows this year. She told Us Weekly, “You won’t see me at any fashion shows, I prefer to be much more low key. I just remembered it was that time of the year, I’ll need to stay away from Lincoln Center.” Girl, you’re at a fundraiser thrown by VOGUE. You’re also a “model” more than an actress, with several high-profile endorsement deals, several of them with fashion houses. Stop acting like you’re so “above” fashion.

The next fumble – Scarlett was asked about Pres. Obama and Michelle Obama’s style, and she said, “They’re both so stylish and they both have this casual, cool style that’s personal to them. They’re a really fashionable couple.” When asked about the Republicans fighting it out for their party’s nomination, Scarlett chose to discuss Rick Santorum… and his sweater vests. She said: “Oh gosh, so sad. My dad wore them and I mean they’re charming for family photos I guess and dinner with the grandparents. I think there’s an ironic way to wear a sweater vest but other than that I’m not sure.” So, Scarlett Johansson, self-appointed political advocate, can only discuss the president’s style, and the style of one of the Republicans. Because Santorum’s sweater vests are what’s disturbing, right? Not his agenda. It’s all about the vests. And remember, Scarlett’s so ABOVE fashion too.

And finally, when she was told that Republicans were criticizing the Vogue fundraiser as “elitist,” ScarJo replied, “Why would they say that? They are all so unfashionable. Let them say what they want!” She brought it back around to fashion. How vapid is this girl?

The Avengers trailer: kick ass or predictable video game?

During last night’s Superbowl we were treated to a teaser trailer for the upcoming Avengers movie, featuring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo and Samuel L. Jackson. This is the second trailer for the much-anticipated superhero film, which is out on May 4th. The first trailer made the move look more like a clusterf*ck than a coordinated Justice League. (I’m aware that they’re different comics/superheroes.)

They seem to have nailed down the plot in order to come with this more cohesive trailer featuring more scenes of crap getting blown up. This trailer makes the film look more interesting than it did before, but it also has a unreal video game feel that seems all too familiar and overdone. How many movies have we seen with cars exploding and rolling down the street in a wave?

Some thoughts:
They’re very cleverly focusing on all the key parts of the film: the special effects, the individual superheroes played by well known actors, their work as a team, and the pithy one-liners. My favorite part is at :50 when Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) is told by baddie Loki (Tom Hiddleston) that “We have an army” and he quips “We have a Hulk.” We then get to see Mark Ruffalo flying through the air as the most badass Hulk I’ve ever seen. Scarlet Johannson is sexy as Black Widow in that tight catsuit, but I like how they’re balancing out the talent in the film and not trying to push her as the star.

The Avengers could be a huge moneymaker for Disney and Marvel or it could be a spectacular flop. Rumor has it that it cost over $250 million to make. Look at what happened with Green Lantern. Warner Brothers really took a bath on that one. Superhero films are no longer the safest bet.

There’s news that Andrew Garfield as Spiderman is going to make a cameo as cross promotion for the new Spidey film, out this July. Can they make the movie work with this many stars? We’ll see.

Scarlett Johansson in Calvin Klein in Germany: pretty, thin and tweaked?

Here are some new photos of Scarlett Johansson at the Golden Camera Awards in Germany over the weekend. She looks weird, right? Her face looks different to me, but I’m thinking it’s just a makeup change and weight loss rather than tweaking. Scarlett does look like she’s lost weight all over, although she’s being helped along by the built-in corset in this Calvin Klein dress. She looks good – well, she looks BETTER. She’s looked like hell for most of the last year, like Sean Penn sucked the pretty right out of her. It’s good to see her go back to a lighter hair color and really try to look sexy and va-va-voom.

Maybe she looks better because she has a new dude in her life? She’s allegedly been dating New York ad man Nate Naylor for the past six months… which I don’t believe. I don’t think she’s been with someone for six months and we’ve only heard about him this past week. But that’s their story, so whatever. At first I was really happy that Scarlett went for a non-celebrity guy with an actual career, but as more is written about this Naylor guy, the more suspicious I am. It seems like he’s really trying to use Scarlett to launch himself as… something. Here’s the suspicious People Mag article about him:

Scarlett Johansson has been linked to many celebrities, but her new beau Nate Naylor isn’t a household name. So who is the New York City-based advertising executive, who’s seeing the 27-year-old actress? Here’s what you need to know:

1. He has an eye for risqué art
Virgin eyes should steer clear from Naylor’s Tumblr. The blog, which he calls Up in Guts, is filled with provocative paintings and photographs of scantily clad women, skeletons, grizzly bears and more.

2. He gets high praise from friends – for his work and looks
Naylor “is the most beautiful man I’ve ever seen in person,” says fellow freelance creative director Lawson Clarke, who is known in the ad world as Male Copywriter. “He basically looks like Morrissey in his prime.” But Naylor’s not just another pretty face. “Bottom line is Nate’s a great guy and really respected in the industry,” adds Clarke, who has worked with Naylor multiple times. “Scarlett should be so lucky.”

3. Johansson isn’t the first celebrity he’s been linked to
Though it didn’t appear to be anything serious, Naylor spent time with former 3rd Rock from the Sun star Kristen Johnston. He accompanied the actress to the Atlantic Theater Company’s spring gala in 2008, where the pair was photographed together.

4. He’s worked all over the country
Naylor is an Arizona native, but he didn’t stay put in his hometown. He’s worked for various ad agencies in Amsterdam, as well as in San Diego, Boston and San Francisco. His boast-worthy list of top-tier clients over the years includes: Disney, Sega, Taco Bell, MTV, U2 and Cadillac.

5. He likes to go out on the town
Johansson and Naylor have been keeping their romance under the radar, but the pair have been spotted out and about together several times. Earlier this month, they had a night out with friends at New York City club Sway where the actress was “smiling a ton,” according to an onlooker. The couple “sat together at the booth and were talking and laughing,” added the source. Naylor and Johansson were also seen dining at Bowery Hotel restaurant Gemma over the weekend and attended the opening of Le Baron on Jan. 27.

[From People]

Nate “is the most beautiful man I’ve ever seen in person… He basically looks like Morrissey in his prime.” For the love of God. Well, we know one thing for sure: Nate Naylor hangs out with a lot of gay guys who think he’s hot. Nate also managed to get a story in Life & Style (photo below), all about how Nate is a great boyfriend because he shares his food with Scarlett.

Scarlett Johansson is dating a non-celebrity dude with an actual career

Yesterday, INF had exclusive photos of Scarlett Johansson wandering around New York, hand-in-hand with a tall, mysterious stranger. Go here to see the pics – we don’t have access to them, which is weird because these photos look SO posed, you’d think that more photo agencies would have gotten access to them. Anyway, ScarJo has a new man. And he’s… um… tall. In the photos, he doesn’t look particularly hot or anything, but maybe “big” is good enough (word). For most of yesterday, no one had any idea who this guy was. My guess was “bodyguard turned boyfriend” but as it turns out, he actually has a big advertising career in NYC. He’s a Mad Man!

Scarlett Johansson’s rep has brushed off recent rumors that she’s dating Kieran Culkin or Justin Bartha – but a source tells PEOPLE that the recent divorcée is now romancing someone for real.

The We Bought a Zoo star, 27, is seeing an New York City-based advertising executive named Nate, a pal of the pair confirms.

“They’ve been dating for five months,” the source adds.

The actress’s rep has no comment this time, but recent photos show the happy couple strolling the Big Apple streets, holding hands.

Meanwhile, the home that Johansson and ex-hubby Ryan Reynolds shared before they split a little more than a year ago, is back on the market.

Located in the posh hills of L.A.’s Los Feliz community, the four-bedroom, three-bathroom estate is on sale for $3,650,000.

[From People]

In a celebrity world where facially-challenged, backup-dancing man-children become official Oscar dates, it’s refreshing to see a female celebrity who dates a man with an actual CAREER. Not just a “job” – if this dude is an advertising executive, he’s educated and he’s worked in the professional world for at least a decade, and it‘s a career. He has his own thing going on, he sets his alarm, he has work commitments and owns several dozen suits. I applaud this choice. I wish more celebrity women would dip into the “professional, educated, eligible man” pile and completely forgo the “backup dancer/model/struggling 20-something actor” pile.

Of course, all of my praise could come back and bite me on the ass. On the surface, it seemed like Benjamin Millepied had his own career too, but as soon as he knocked up an A-list actress, he became The Ballet K-Fed. Will the same thing happen with ScarJo?

UPDATE: Ah, Page Six has even more about the guy:

Scarlett Johansson’s new mystery man is 38-year old advertising executive Nate Naylor, whom she’s been dating for about six months.

Photos emerged of Naylor and Johansson wandering around Manhattan this weekend with their arms around each other. Naylor apparently tried to stay incognito under a hooded sweatshirt, hat and dark sunglasses.

But we can reveal that the tall, dark and handsome Naylor is a freelance creative director and art director in Manhattan.

We’re told he lived in Amsterdam for several years while working at various ad agencies including Wieden + Kennedy. Sources say Naylor is originally from Arizona and graduated from Westmont College in California.

A source tells us he and Johansson met about six months ago through mutual friends and started dating shortly after, but so far have tried to keep their romance low-key.

But on Saturday night, ScarJo and Nate were spotted having a cozy dinner with three friends at Bowery Hotel restaurant Gemma. A spy tells us, “ScarJo was rubbing his back and kissing his neck. He was wearing a short- sleeve, V-neck T-shirt and had tattoos up his arm. ”

ScarJo, who will star as the superhero Black Widow in the upcoming movie “The Avengers,” married “Safe House” star Ryan Reynolds in 2008. They split in 2010.

She quickly rebounded with Sean Penn, whom she dated for five months, until they called it off in June. Reynolds is now dating “Gossip Girl” star Blake Lively.

Press-shy Naylor was photographed with actress Kristen Johnston at the Atlantic Theater Company’s spring gala in 2008. Sources describe Naylor as a nice guy, but that he “keeps to himself.”

Johansson will co-host a fund-raiser for President Obama with Vogue editor Anna Wintour on Tuesday at Theory’s Meatpacking store. Johansson’s rep didn’t get back to us.

Scarlett Johansson complains about ‘ScarJo’ moniker: “It’s a laziness”

Last week, I was bitching to Agent Bedhead about Scarlett Johansson. My complaint was about how boring and full of herself Scarlett has become (or perhaps always was), and how Scarlett’s promotional blitz for We Bought A Zoo is really bringing out a side of Scarlett that I dislike. In previous years, I’ve defended Scarlett – I always thought she was a better actress than people gave her credit for, and I liked the career path that she was carving out. And then something went haywire. Marriage to Ryan Reynolds, a break from film work to do a play, all of the Black Widow crap… and then Sean Penn. Somewhere along the line, Scarlett became kind of insufferable to me. Her latest interview to support We Bought A Zoo adds another level of eye-rolling. First, keep in mind – Scarlett’s role in this film is SUPPORTING. Just like in Iron Man 2. And just like Iron Man 2, Scarlett is doing the publicity tour like she’s the star – she’s overselling it. But perhaps that’s because in Scarlett’s mind, she’s just like Daniel Day-Lewis and Cate Blanchett. Seriously.

ScarJo on the “ScarJo” moniker: “It’s a laziness. People can’t actually say the whole name? It’s just bizarre.” She tries shorthand sobriquets on other stars. How come Daniel Day-Lewis isn’t subjected to “like, ‘DaDay’? So Cate Blanchett is not, like, ‘CaBla’? Why is that? Why do I have to get stuck? If I hear somebody say that, I know I don’t know them at all.”

She’s not the ingénue anymore: “The roles that are really available for young women most of the time are the ingénue, the other woman, the girlfriend of someone, and as I’ve gotten older, it’s nice to be able to move into territory where the characters that I’m playing and looking at are women who are established,” she says, man or no. “It’s nice to be kind of transitioning into that phase of my career.”

Public exposures: “The hardest part is actually going through whatever hardship you’re facing. Going through it in public is the added unfortunate thing. There’s nothing you can do about that.” Except avoid it. “One of the best things I learned this year was to not read any tabloid, gossipy, you know, garbage. It really keeps you on the straight and narrow. And while some of it kind of leaks in occasionally, it’s really nice to not know what crazy stories” are circulating. Mention recent rumored romances —Kieran Culkin, Kate Moss’s ex Jefferson Hack — “and I’m like, ‘What? Really? When did that come out?’ It’s just nice to have kind of a blinder up in that regard. It helps keep you sane. I can’t follow all that stuff. It’s too exhausting.” And she doesn’t waste her time correcting the record. “Unless it’s something that’s violently awful, I think it’s better to just let it go. You just have to kind of let it slide. Otherwise, you’re, like, in the midst of it, like a frenzy.”

Being in NYC: “What do I have to lose? It’s not like I get attacked by hordes of angry fans.”

She doesn‘t take the subway though: “For me, it’s like, I used up all my subway tokens. It’s a privilege to not have to take the subway. I like the subway. It gets you places fast, but I’d rather hail a cab. Or walk.”

Potentially playing Marilyn Monroe: “There’s a lot there to explore, and I like to watch other people do it, but I have no interest” in joining the Monroe biopic brigade. “It’s lovely to be compared to somebody as sort of effervescent and charming and fragile and I think kind of an underrated actor, really,” Johansson says. And “you know, beautiful and everything. But it’s never been one for me.”

[From USA Today]

I know everyone is talking about the whole “Don’t call me ScarJo, you would never do that to Cate Blanchett” part of the interview, but can we just talk about the BITCH PLEASE-ness of the Marilyn section?!? As in BITCH PLEASE if you don’t want to be Marilyn Monroe than why are you always being styled as Marilyn Monroe in photo shoot after photo shoot? It would be one thing if it was just a one-off, but Scarlett is ALWAYS doing the Marilyn thing. Plus, ScarJo (YEAH I SAID IT) makes it sound like the producers of My Week With Marilyn came to her first and she turned them down, thus Michelle Williams was cast. Which didn’t happen.

Scarlett Johansson is tired of “ingenue” roles, wants to be taken seriously

Yes, Scarlett Johansson is still promoting her role as a zookeeper in We Bought a Zoo. I’ve heard so much about that movie that it feels like it should’ve come out ages ago, but no, the release date is still December 23. Anyway, Scarlett sat down with NY Mag to discuss more about the movie, and something amusing actually happened. Scar admitted that she intentionally gave her character a wide-legged stance so that her portrayal would be taken more seriously. Did I just really type that? Like, in order to play this character “full of conviction,” Scar felt it necessary to spread her legs. Those are the makings of a real actress, I guess:

On Her Zoo Character’s Wide-Legged Stance: I wanted that character to be full of conviction – and in order to be full of conviction, you have to be [pause] full of conviction, or it doesn’t work. I think part of that was the physicality of the role. It was this salt of the Earth, feet on the ground, ready to just solve the problem as it comes at you [character]. There’s something a little bit “in your own skin” about it, and I think that’s just the kind of stance she adopts.

On Whether She Prefer’s Animals Or Humans: I take humans most of the time, but I have to say that occasionally sitting on the couch with the dog, you’re just like, “Man, you’re the best company. This is bliss.” Just the dog and a nice old movie and you’re good to go. But yeah, people. I take people.

On Getting Tired Of Seductress Roles: I think that as I get older, I’m now looking at roles that move away from that kind of ingénue mold and are more based on women that are experienced and have had life before the point you find them in. That’s refreshing for me. It’s nice to be able to kind of transition into that. I feel like for me, right now, I don’t wanna take on any roles that aren’t challenging in some way. I never wanna play something I’ve done before. I wanna be able to just have everything be hard in some way. Otherwise, what’s the point?

On Her Upcoming Directing Gig, Summer Crossing: It’s a project I’ve been developing for five or six years. I’m writing it right now with Tristine Skyler, so we’ll see. You have a script and then you take it out and finance it. It’s a big preproduction process, but that’s where my focus is.

[From NY Mag Vulture]

Obviously, Scarlett really wants to be a director, but I honestly don’t see the project that she mentioned happening anytime soon. A few years ago, someone in power had the bright idea to let Scarlett helm a segment of New York, I Love You, but her portion ended up on the editing room floor instead of making it into the final cut, which is a shame because it was the one part of the movie that starred Kevin Bacon.

Just for kicks, here’s a video clip of Scarlett’s segment. A director, she is not.

Scarlett Johansson in black Dolce & Gabbana at the ‘Zoo’ premiere: trashy or cute?

These are photos of Scarlett Johansson at last night’s NYC premiere of We Bought A Zoo, the Cameron Crowe film that isn’t getting the best reviews. ScarJo stars with Matt Damon and Elle Fanning, both of whom were at the premiere as well. This post is just about ScarJo, though. Scar wore this Dolce & Gabbana dress which… I don’t get. Just my opinion: I don’t think much of Scarlett’s style, at all. Her style is, at best, hit-or-miss, and at worst, she simply doesn’t know how to dress for her curvy-petite figure. I also think her body and face mystify most stylists too, judging from her often-horrible photo shoots for ad campaigns and magazines.

Scarlett is the “face” of Dolce & Gabbana too – she could have her pick from all of their dresses, and this is what she chose. A stiff-looking poodle skirt with a sliver of exposed skin at the waist? I just feel like she was phoning it in, but if you go back and look at her style history, you realize that she wasn’t phoning it in, actually. This is one of her better red carpet looks, just because it’s so boring instead of actively BAD.

I do like that she’s finally been able to ditch the too-red hair color, which she had for Black Widow in The Avengers. She looks her best when she’s doing a dirty-blonde, I think, although I’m not crazy about the hairstyle she worked on the carpet. But the absolute worst? THE BLUE EYESHADOW. She looks like she should be working at a Dairy Queen.

Last thing: is this not the best photo of Scarlett ever? I feel like we’re looking into her soul.

Matt Lauer kisses Scarlett Johansson’s butt: “A lot of actresses aren’t as gracious.”

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Matt starts praising Scarlett at 2:24

Scarlett Johansson was on The Today Show this morning to promote We Bought a Zoo, which is out in the US on December 23. Scarlett was wearing a royal blue sleeveless dress with black tights and black pumps. Her hair was styled in matronly shoulder length curls that looked dated to me. Anyway Matt Lauer pretty much kissed Scarlett’s ass the entire interview. You could tell that she was flattered by him, but it was a little cloying the way he kept heaping praises on her. It was all about how Scarlett handled her divorce and her nude photo scandal so well, and how she’s such a professional on set and not a diva. I wouldn’t call dating Sean Penn dealing well with a divorce, but it’s true that she hasn’t talked smack about her ex and has been gracious about Reynolds on the record. She knows what to say in interviews.

Matt: Many of the directors who’ve worked with you go out of their way to say how eager and willing you are to take direction. There are a lot of actresses at your payscale who aren’t as gracious.. why are you like that?

Scarlett: I think that making films is about collaborating. That’s why I love about it. It’s never about going in there and being rigid about what your ideas are… it’s open to interpretation and I always appreciate that kind of collaborative process.

Matt: This has been an interesting year for you… Obviously you got divorced, there was a photo hacking scandal. What have you learned about yourself in this year? And what have you learned about the business you’ve been in?

Scarlett: I’ve been really fortunate. I’ve found that I have had, even in times of crisis, a lot of love around. People have come out of all different dark corners to support [me]. I think I’ve been much more tolerant and much more patient.

Matt read this quote from Interview: “Johansson is coming off one of those years that young actresses seem to have frequently these days, but which she had, until now, miraculously managed to avoid. . But Johansson’s response to all of the added—and unwanted—attention she has received for her personal life has also been atypical. Instead of cloistering herself away or lashing out at the paparazzi, she pressed ahead with her business with a kind of unflappable grace.”

Scarlett: I just like the word unflappable. I find that there is a community on film sets and in this industry… it would seem kind of cutthroat, but to me I’ve been in the industry for 20 years and it has that kind of familial feel… When I’m at work I can’t pay attention to anything else but the job at hand.

I guess Today just doesn’t use sperm-brow Ann Curry to conduct fawning celebrity interviews in that dim style of hers. Somehow I feel cheated when it’s Matt Lauer kissing celebrity butt – he’s supposed to be the hard-assed one. Scarlett sounds smarter than most, though, I’ll give her that. Plus it’s probably true that she handled all those scandals very well, at least in her public responses to them. I wouldn’t go so far to praise her as Interview or Lauer did. We heard rumors that she was dating several questionable guys post divorce (and most recently Joseph Gordon Levitt although he’s awesome). Even if all those were casual or just rumors, she was definitely with Sean Penn for a while. But of course Matt Lauer barely mentioned her personal life, because Scarlett is so professional and hardworking. They should have just had Ann Curry interview her and act all faux concerned about how she was coping with the hacking scandal and being single.

Scarlett Johansson: “I’ve never been single for a chunk of time before”

We already previewed Scarlett Johansson’s Cosmopolitan cover (for January 2012) a few days ago, but now The Mail has some excerpts from the interview. I’ll say it again – Scarlett, like Lady Gaga, doesn’t really have much to say. Scarlett, like Gaga, does too much press for too little work. That being said, Scarlett didn’t come off too badly in this piece, mostly because she’s trying to sound like her marriage and divorce was all cotton candy and rainbows and she just learned so much.

Scarlett on her marriage to Ryan Reynolds: “I’m a big believer that when something feels right, you should do it. I’m a big believer in instinct. Getting married was the right thing to do because it was natural. It grew out of a romance and love and a desire to have a future with somebody and I was very fortunate that I married somebody who turned out to be the person I thought he would be.”

Marriage wasn’t what she thought it would be: “Relationships are complicated and being married is a living, breathing process. I think I was not fully aware of the peaks and valleys. I wasn’t prepared to hunker down and do the work.”

On the divorce: “Both of us were extremely busy. We spent so much time apart. It’s very difficult. It’s bad.”

No regrets: “It seemed like a very romantic thing to do, and it was. It was the best thing I ever did.”

Learning from her starter marriage: “You have to be very confident and solid within yourself to have a successful marriage.”

She’s currently single: “I’ve never been single for a chunk of time before. You miss having a partner and a confidant, but I have to say, I’m appreciating having the time to get to know myself.”

That story about having sex with Benicio Del Toro in an elevator the Chateau Marmont: “It’s the worst story ever. That story will haunt me for my whole life. If you have ever been in that elevator you know it’s like 31/2 seconds from one floor to another. It’s crazy. But anyway a journalist asked me about this rumour and I was 19 or 20. I didn’t realize how sarcasm would come off and I said something like: ‘I don’t know, I would find that very unsanitary’. And the guy printed that and at the end he wrote: ‘Which isn’t to say that she denied it’. So of course, other outlets ran with it! I hate that it’s become, like, Hollywood lore, but what are you going to do?”

Trying to move away from her sexpot image: “As a 19-year-old girl I was very eager to play into that. Why not? You’re 19 and you’re feeling fabulous and young. I don’t know that I could have sold myself as a character actor at 19. It’s nice for people to think you’re attractive. But I was never, like, a model or anything. I think because I wasn’t 90lbs, I was suddenly this “bombshell” and “hourglass” and all those things, but I never wanted to make my career off that. Everything I’ve been doing in the past year involves characters that the last thing on their mind is finding Mr. Right or being taken care of.”

[From Cosmo via The Mail]

Aw, damn! She denied the Benicio story! I love that story. That’s how I’ve always chosen to think of Scarlett – as the kind of girl who would bone Benicio del Toro in an elevator and then never speak to him again. I wish she was that girl. I get that she’s trying to sound all mature and “Look at me, I’m a real actress, you should nominate me for an Oscar at some point!” But I wish Scarlett would just start boning random A-list dudes, just for the fun of it.

Also – this week’s Us Weekly suggests that Scarlett isn’t really as “over” Ryan Reynolds as she’d like to be. According to Us Weekly’s source, Scarlett is pissed that Ryan is dating Blake Lively because Ryan is supposed to still be hung up on HER. Ryan wanted to reconcile earlier this year, but then Scarlett starting boning Sean Penn, and Ryan got fed up. The source says: “Ryan would have gotten back with her. He was so totally in love, but then she flaunted Sean right after their split, and he was done… Scarlett is pissed that he’s not under her spell anymore.” Ryan found a new pair of boobs, Scar. Time to pack ‘em up and start boning any A-lister that comes along.
