Gwen Stefani is going to boycott the MTV VMAs

The MTV Video Music Awards are tomorrow, but new mommy Gwen Stefani won’t be there. She’s said to be pissed at her poor treatment at last year’s show, when Kelly Clarkson scooped up all the awards and the camera kept panning in on Stefani’s dissapointed face. Instead of sucking it up and showing up for her career, she’s just staying home:

GWEN Stefani has had it with the MTV Video Music Awards. The “No Doubt” cutie is said to be “boycotting” tomorrow’s show because of the shoddy treatment she got last year. “She had a ton of nominations and was under the impression she would be taking home at least one award,” our insider said. “But every award, except that lame best-dressed award, went to Kelly Clarkson, and every time Kelly won, the camera went straight to Gwen. She felt set up.” Stefani also thought she was going to close the show - another honor that went to Clarkson. Stefani’s rep declined comment.

Aw, poor Gwen. It must suck to be a best selling recording artist charging exhorbitant amounts for clothing designs ripped off from hipper cultures and manufactured by sweatshop labor. If you can’t get a little award once in a while, why bother showing up?

I’d be pissed off too! and with a new family life, she’s probably like. eh screw them I’ll find another place to make my post baby public appearance. She can do whatever she wants.

I think I would be annoyed if they kept cutting to my face just to embarass me and create drama. Had they done it only a couple of times maybe she wouldn’t have cared? Oh well, who knows..

I thought it was all about the talent. Last time I checked, my clothes never sang to me…sorry, but I like Kelly. She has talent, a great voice, and is no diva. but what do i know

Talk about a sense of entitlement! Has it ever occurred to her that someone out there may have a little more talent than her and that’s why Clarkson won? Gwen needs to quit whining and shut the f*** up!

Darn. That’s almost messed up. Wait, it IS messed up. Why always panning on HER, what about the OTHER nominees? Just because she was probably the 2nd place winner, doesn’t mean that she was sooooooooooo dissapointed. I’m not saying she wasn’t, but you know, she was probably happy to give up the awards to Kelly. She’s a great singer. Gwen, personaly, I think is the best singer alive.

And, why should you go if you’re just going to get embarrissed? Let alone, not win an award.
