Reese Witherspoon is pregnant with her third child

Reese Witherspoon, 30, and Ryan Phillipe, 31, have been married since 1999. They have two children: a daughter, Ava, 6, and a son, Deacon, 2.

After Reese won the Oscar for best actress this year it was reported that her marriage was in trouble due to Ryan's jealousy of her skyrocketing career. Reese denied that anything was wrong and made her relationship work through sheer willpower and feminine fertility.

In mid-March Reese was said to be trying for another baby to help save her marriage, and judging from these pictures things went according to plan. You can see a baby bump when the wind blows against this loose summer coverup she's wearing. When she's a little further along, she can be expected to acknowledge the pregnancy.

Thanks to Just Jared for posting these pictures of Reese and pointing out her baby bump. She is seen on the beach in Malibu with her daughter Ava, 6. Ryan is seen picking up takeout for his family.

Jennifer Garner in talks for new political thriller

Alias is ending on May 22nd, and Jennifer Garner has said that she's looking forward to some time off with her nearly six month-old daughter, Violet. She may not have much time to rest, because she's negotiating for a role in The Kingdom, a political thriller:

It looks as if Jennifer Garner is in talks to join the cast of The Kingdom, a political thriller about an FBI team investigating the bombing of American workers in the Middle East. Directed by Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights) the Universal Pictures film already has Jamie Foxx and Chris Cooper on board. Given the plot outline, it looks like Garner would be in familiar government super agent territory, considering her long tenure as the indefatigable Sydney Bristow (an agent who knows both Krav Maga, electromagnetic lock picking and Pilates!).

Garner made headlines last week with her charity work with hurricane Katrina victims. She toured New Orleans with Reese Witherspoon and Cicely Tyson, and was brought to tears by a children's performance:

"I've been shocked and heartbroken," said Garner, star of TV's "Alias" and the film "Elektra," who cried when the children danced and sang "Something Inside So Strong" by South African singer Labi Siffre.

It's good of her to lend her celebrity to the cause, and more government resources and effort should be put into support for Katrina victims. Many were without adequate housing for months.

Garner has said that Alias had a good run, but that she is sad to leave her character behind.

Whatever she does next, Garner is sure to do well. She's a positive, friendly person and doesn't take her success for granted.

Here she is outside The Late Show last night, and in New Orleans with Reese Witherspoon. There is also a scan from People magazine about their trip. [via]

Reese Witherspoon's crack

No she's not hanging out with Whitney, she's bending over in jeans that are too loose. Bless the evil paparrazi. The butt crack picture is mildly safe for work and is after the jump.

Reese has not responded to Kevin Smith's statement at a University of Pennsylvania speech in which he called her a "cunt." She has better to things to do - like making sure that her ex-boyfriends know how successful she is now and trying to get pregnant to save her marriage.

Kevin Smith has hated Reese Witherspoon for a while

Kevin Smith responded to the furor over his remarks at a University of Pennsylvania speech in which he revealed that Nicole Richie screwed his friend Jason Mewes in a bathroom and that he thinks Reese Witherspoon is a cunt. Smith didn't mention the Nicole Richie incident at all, leading us to assume that it's true.

He also said that he doesn't see why it's big news that he thinks Reese is a cunt, since he admitted to hating her a while back:

Much ado about nothing, over some shit I said in the UPenn Q&A…

All stemming from the same poorly-worded story. All insisting I’m still harping on Reese when it was in response to a question. All treating it like it’s new info, when the Reese story alone’s been around for five years, online…

[via]

In the 2001 article about Reese that Smith references, he makes a very good case that she deserves the "C" label while describing how he came to give her the moniker "Greasy Reese(y)" He talked about how arrogant and rude she was at a casting call for Mallrats, and how she snubbed his then-girlfriend, Chasing Amy's Joey Lauren Adams, who was previously in competition with her for a part:

So it's a year later. We've shot Amy but it hasn't come out yet. Joey and I have seen an early cut of Overnight Delivery, and she wants to say something nice about Reese's performance to Reese -- a real stand-up gesture that you'd never catch me making, were I in her shoes. We jockey up to Reese (me, quite unwillingly), and Joey tells her that she's seen the flick, and she thinks Reese was really good, adding she's glad Reese got the part when all was said and done. And how does Reese react?

She sneers at Joey. Then turns away.

Children, I wouldn't say it unless I'd witnessed it with my own two eyes. Greasy Reese Witherspoon sneered at the compliment like the third grade girl with the most Valentines sneers at the third grade girl with the second most Valentines after all the Valentines have been given out, just prior to the distribution of the holiday cupcakes. It was an ugly, ugly moment. There was no offer of even an insincere, Hollywood-type "Thanks." Merely a sneer.

Yeah, Reese is classy and Smith makes a very good point.

Meanwhile in his current post Smith makes fun of all of the gossip blogs for ripping on him for being a gossip:

Lots of folks in TalkBacks teeing off on me as being irrelevant or unfunny, which other cats in the real world, not cyber-snipers, apparently disagree with. The great irony is, the TalkBack people on the blog/gossip sites are taking me to task for being a gossip. Kettle, I call thee black.

We know we're gossips - and so are you, Smith. There's nothing wrong with that.

Reese is good at acting crazy

Reese Witherspoon, who just turned 30 on Wednesday, is in London filming Penelope with Christina Ricci. Witherspoon is in a supporting role as a friend of Ricci, who plays a woman trying to overcome a family curse that left her with a snout like a pig. (Do you remember that episode of The Twilight Zone, "The Eye of the Beholder," when a surgery candidate was told she was deformed for having a beautiful face while everyone else had a snout like a pig? Ricci's look reminds me of that.)

Reese has said that she will be taking supporting roles in an effort to spend more time with her family. People are speculating that her six-year marriage to Ryan Phillipe is in trouble. With four movies in production and a record-setting salary, it doesn't look like Reese is serious about slowing down.

Have you seen our mashup of Reese and Crazyfrog?

Here are some pictures of Reese on set as well as a few of Ricci's snout nose. [via]

Crazyfrog and Reese

Britain's Daily Record noticed a resemblance between Reese's character in Penelope, now filming in London, and Crazyfrog, the ringtone mascot that's wildly popular in Europe.

We see it too.

TMZ had a report in the "Rumor has it" section earlier today that Reese Witherspoon was likely planning a baby to save her relationship with Ryan Phillippe. The article featured a picture of Ryan deep in conversation with a female extra that is said to have enraged Reese.

Now the article has mysteriously gone missing while the other two items in that section are still available. Reese must be as powerful as her reputation suggests.

Reese wants a third spawn

Reese Witherspoon is supposedy trying for a third child to try to save her marriage with Ryan Phillippe. We reported four days ago that the two were having trouble, which Reese characteristically shrugged off.

Now she may be trying to get pregnant again to give her husband another incentive to stay:

Reese Witherspoon is reportedly planning to have a third baby in a bid to save her marriage.

The stunning actress and husband Ryan Philippe - who have two children, six-year-old Ava and Deacon, 2 - have been at the centre of speculation their marriage is on the rocks for weeks.
But the 'Walk The Line' star, who scooped the Best Actress prize at the Oscars, is said to be determined to do whatever it takes to fix their relationship.

A source is quoted as saying: 'Reese has achieved everything a woman could want except for a rock-solid marriage.'

Reese - no one's marriage is rock solid. Cook him a great dinner and then have sex with him. That's all it takes.

Maybe Reese is too busy to attend to Ryan, though. Here she is looking goofy in London yesterday while filming a scene for "Penelope" starring Christina Ricci. Reese has a supporting role. Pictures [via]

Reese says "Everything is fine. Do not question my power."

Reese and Ryan posing while hugging at the Oscars. Caption reads: we are so f**cking happy. Don't you people have anything better to do?
Reese Witherspoon is like her character Tracy Flick in the movie Election with Matthew Broderick. If you haven't seen it yet, you should rent it because it's cute. Reese's character is an annoying over-achiever with a permanently pasted-on smile. She's tireless and stops at nothing to get what she wants.

That's why we think that if Reese and Ryan are having a rough patch, Reese will make it work.

Access Hollywood says there's nothing to the cover story in this week's Life & Style that Reese and Ryan are having trouble. They base this on Reese's remarks, which may have nothing to do with reality:

“He's been in Toronto and he came all the way down here for just like 24 hours to be with me, so it was really nice,” Reese told us in a recent interview.

Now, Reese and Ryan are together in London, where Ryan traveled to be with Reese while she's working on her new film “Penelope.”

And in a relationship consisting of two busy actors, those are the types of things you have to do to make it work, as Reese told us.

“We love each other. We have done everything together for nine years,” she smiled.

Reese will make her relationship work. She will also make us believe that everything's fine in her life, and that's what she's supposed to do as an actress. Jennifer Aniston, take a note.

Here are pictures of Ryan and Reese returning to their hotel on Oscar night. Pictures [via]

Ryan resents Reese

Ryan and Reese after the Oscars
The highest paid actress in Hollywood may be having trouble with her marriage. At least that's what Life and Style is set to report. On the red carpet at the Oscars, Ryan Philippe lauded his hardworking wife, but he was later seen sulking alone at parties after the event:

As Reese made the rounds, Ryan sulked alone, the report details. “He sat by himself looking pretty resentful,” says a partygoer. Marital problems aren’t new for this pair, who admitted to seeking marriage counseling in 2002. Lately, they’ve played the happy couple at pre-Oscar events, but on the night of the Academy Awards, it was clear that their relationship is still on the rocks

She was even overheard asking at the Vanity Fair party, "Did I thank Ryan (during the acceptance speech) “He’s so easy to forget most of the time!”

While Reese's career has skyrocketed, Ryan has been in smaller roles. He appeared in best picture Crash, and has several projects in the works, but has not achieved Reese's level of fame. Reese will be 30 this month and has been married to Ryan, 31, since 1999. They have two children: a daughter, Ava, 6, and a son, Deacon, 2.

Along with declaring Ryan forgettable, Reese also dedicated her Oscar to all the "boys who dumped [her]." Her husband was probably just grumpy and tired after all the stress of the Academy Awards, but she should still focus on her current relationship instead of harping on the past.

Reese is bitter

Close up of Reese Witherspoon's face with the caption I will make you regret leaving me!
Reese Witherspoon wins best actress, and she can't think of anything better to do than harp on her ex-boyfriends:

The actress, who is now married to heartthrob actor Ryan Philippe, said: "Every time I got dumped, I always fantasised that one day he would be sorry - and I would go on stage and tell him what I thought.

"So for all the boys who ever dumped me, this is for you."

She's a rich and famous actress at the top of her career. She has two kids and super-hot husband, and she's still hung up on her exes! Reese, there are some things in life you just can't control so let go.

Men don't like women who try to run their lives, and most of the guys who dated you are probably grateful you moved on.

Best Actress: Reese Witherspoon

The Oscars weren't a surprise so far this year. Reese didn't bother to watch the Academy video judging from her effusive acceptance speech.

It's still early but I'm going to write the post that Brokeback won for best picture. I could have done everything ahead of time and gone to bed as there wasn't a single surprise.

The Oscars are seriously a waste of time and they should think of reworking them next year. I don't need to see any of the nominated films now because I've seen enough clips to figure out each movie.
