Princess Eugenie posts never-before-seen portraits from her 2018 wedding

When all was said and done, I still believe that Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank are probably built for the long-haul. He adores her, and she seems very happy with him. They’ve been together ten years, and they just celebrated their second wedding anniversary. To celebrate, Eugenie posted the video, above, which included never-before-seen photos of the two of them over the years. Also included: two wedding-day portraits which were never released publicly.

I actually have fond memories of covering Eugenie’s wedding. It was a lovely royal wedding in Windsor on what looked like a crisp autumn day. My least favorite thing about it was that I wasn’t crazy about Eugenie’s Peter Pilotto gown. The fabric was too heavy and dowdy. While I get that she was aiming for conservative-royal wedding gown, the gown was not all that flattering. In retrospect, though, she seemed like a very happy bride. She was very calm! There didn’t even seem like there were any bridezilla moments. As I was looking through our archived photos, I remembered her reception dress portrait too – remember that blush Zac Posen look?

Anyway, Jack and Eugenie are expecting in early 2021. The child will not have a title, because Jack does not have a title, although there’s some back-and-forth about whether he was offered a title. I think he was! But I think he refused it.

Some of those 2018 wedding photos, including some of the formal portraits.

I loved her wedding dress! Prob my favorite between hers, Kate’s, and Megs.

    • February-Pisces says:

It’s my favourite too. I think it was perfect for her and I love the emerald on her tiara as well.

      • Argus says:

Princess Eugenie’s was my favourite royal wedding dress, elegant and fitted her to perfection. The tiara & emerald earrings were icing on the cake.

    • candy says:

Me too! Agree it was a bit heavy, more like a coat, but the look worked. She was my favorite royal bride.

    • Mia says:

This is a favorite of mind along with Princess Margaret’s.

    • Lizzythe2 says:

This was the best looking gown from all of the royal weddings, not just Britain but other royal households as well. It looked perfect on her.

  2. Tiffany says:

I really like the dress because she glowed in it. She and Jack just radiated warmth and happiness on their wedding day. And I LOVED that tiara.

  3. Sofia says:

I really do love her wedding dress. Thought she looked great! Wasn’t a fan of her reception dress. Lovely colour and design but too much “boob armour” for me

  4. mimi says:

Both of her dresses were ugly in my opinion. I was underwhelmed by her wedding and find it to be pretty forgettable looking back.

  5. Becks1 says:

Two years later, I still cant decide how I felt about her dress. I loved the cut of it, and how she asked that it show her scars from back surgery, and I thought the lace work was pretty, but something about the sleeves and the bodice felt too heavy for me. IDK. I do think she looked really lovely and happy though as did Jack, and that’s what matters.

(not a fan of the reception gown though at all.)

    • Nic919 says:

Jack seems decent and that he actually cares about her. I still have to laugh at whoever decided to stand Fergie next to Phil in the group photo.

      • Noki says:

And why isnt the older man sitting down also,ALL kids could have sat on the floor and the elder given a chair.

      • Mac says:

I assume Jack’s father preferred to stand next to his son and wife. He’s not dead yet.

      • Becks1 says:

I don’t mind Jack’s parents standing, but I do find it interesting that the only kids that were given a chair were George and Charlotte.

@Nic -I laughed too, I wonder how much Phillip was cringing for that picture lol.

      • Lemons says:

Phillip was about to pass out being made to take a photo with Fergie so it’s understandable why he would be asked to sit down. 😂

    • tolly says:

I think the sleeves are either too long or too narrow at the cuffs, since they cover her hands when she puts her arms down. I would like it a lot more if the sleeves had been left off entirely, with just the wide collar covering her shoulders, but that might not be conservative enough for a big royal wedding.

    • damejudi says:

I wish the neckline had been draped more softly-in the pics it just looks like a very precise (imo harsh) triangle.

  6. Princess Peach says:

I love her tiara. Her and Jack seem like the real deal.

  7. Mtec says:

Great. Now can we get an update on her Anti-Slavery/human-trafficking collective and the sex-trafficking podcast she was supposed to do? I mean, her dress is nice, but she co-founded this collective, and a “social enterprise” with her mom and dad called, “Key to Freedom,” to “support” survivors of trafficking (last time I heard Fergie and Andrew bought them pizza—hopefully not from Woking).

Yes her tiara is pretty, but where’s her integrity?

    • Nic919 says:

      Excellent point.

    • Kalana says:

Yep. She went real quiet on all of that.

I don’t like Eugenie. I think she’s manipulative and insincere. At the end of the day, both York women are happy to stay close to their grifter parents and still sign the Christmas card and try to get their husbands to work with Fergie. Those women are all in with Andrew and Fergie.

      • Mtec says:

Honestly! THANK YOU @Nic919 and @Kalana
I feel like every time there’s a post about about the York girls i’m just yelling into the abyss here about this.

I understand they’re not to blame for their father’s crimes, but I don’t get why she gets such a pass here. I find her to be such a hypocrite. Bea too—she was involved in planning that disastrous interview her dad did that ended up implicating him even more with Epstein. But i guess Bea is at least not out there pretending she’s going on a crusade to save trafficking victims.

I personally feel like the York girls knew way more about Epstein and their dad. They’re smart girls, they went to his private islands even after he had a rep for being a sex offender no? Seems like they’re really close with their parents too, forming initiatives with them and all, posing for “happy family” Christmas pictures while their dad is in the UK avoiding the FBI. I doubt they have no idea what kind of grifters their parents are. They’re either willfully blind or complete hypocrites. Or both.

      • Nic919 says:

The York girls are no different than the trump kids. Sticking by their parents despite the crimes because they want access and money. Both still live on KP property and neither of them seem to want to be independent. They remain complicit until they actively distance themselves from that family and to date neither has done so.

      • Carrie says:

Agree. Both women (not girls), are shady and complicit as all fk. Still receiving all the perks of being minor royals. No proper jobs.
Not many people with a full time jobs in a director position can swan off and take 12+ holidays a year.
All Top CEO material = grifters.

  8. Noki says:

Are the parents of all the page boys and flower girls present during picture time incase of any chaos. Would love to see behind the scenes of the pictures.

  9. Sass says:

I think her wedding look has aged well. Both the gown and the reception dress! So lovely.

  10. Amy Bee says:

No, she wasn’t the Bridezilla, her father was.

  11. CC says:

She had the best royal wedding look out of the 3 women imo. Followed by Meg (could use a last minute tailoring but i understand given the drama around her dad) and then Kate (the messy veil, small tiara and the poky boobs were too annoying for me because overall the dress was wonderful).

That aside, I don’t care much for her ever since all of them became really quiet over Andrew.

  12. Smices says:

I thought the wedding dress looked like an old-timey nurses uniform. And I didn’t like her hair.

The reception dress had the right idea but the shoulders ruined it, making her look linebacker-ish.

    The tiara was lovely though.

  13. S808 says:

I loved her wedding and reception look! Definitely my favorite followed by Meghan’s.

  14. RoyalBlue says:

I actually loved her wedding dress and she looked radiant on the day.

Now her reception dress was just awful! Sorry, no kudos from me there.

  15. Krystina says:

My favourite part of that whole wedding, was when Jack put on his glasses so he could see her walking down the aisle towards him.
I’m definitely not a monarchy fan, but that part made me like that wedding.

  16. Sarah says:

Huh. Two years on and my dislike of the reception dress and what it does to her boobs has not faded!

  17. Lucylee says:

Things are pretty boring in Brexit Land so are they trying to get some clicks?

  18. My3cents says:

What’s going on? Is some new Andrew shit going to drop?
Always a motive with this family.

    • Mtec says:

Lol probably. The was a bit of news going around that Ghislaine Maxwell was ready to drop some big names.

      • Nic919 says:

There was some court activity about preventing another deposition from being published. I am not sure of the result though.

    • STEPHANIE says:

Happy wedding anniversary if you know what that is

  19. What...now? says:

Eugenie does look so happy here and good for her. The tiara is magnificent, but I wasn’t impressed by the dress at all–it looks like a dress I would find at a bridal shop. It’s a perfectly *fine* dress, but to me, there is no wow factor. Boo! I wanted to love the dress, too! But there is no doubt, that Eugenie reigns supreme in the tiara department. Hers was the best by far.

Although, I did love Meghan’s tiara — it really was the perfect choice for her dress. Which even though very slightly ill-fitting, I think it’s the most classic and timeless dress out of Kate, Eugenie and Bea.

As for the reception dress, Meghan’s Stella McCartney dress was LEAGUES above everyone else. When she and Harry drove over to their reception — they looked amazing! Classic, yet so modern–and grown up. Kate’s little sweater over her sweetheart neck dress was so bad!! It’s like what you wear to Jr. High dances. Eugenie’s looked like cos-play Sleeping Beauty, and I don’t think we know what Bea’s looked like.

I also think Eugenie got the best engagement ring, it’s really unique and special.

  20. Beech says:

What I remember was Eugenie reading from The Great Gatsby the passage about Jay Gatsby’s smile. My jaw dropped, truly Bizzaro World. Did no one read the book let alone understand it?

  21. lily says:

I didn’t like neither of her dresses, although she looked happy. I prefers Meghan dress and look, even the tiara.
