Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker seem to be enjoying their engagement. As I mentioned when we were talking about Kat Dennings, I think engagements are a lovely time for a couple and many people rush through them or forget to enjoy them. So I’m happy to see a high profile couple like Kourtney and Travis luxuriating in this moment together. They are, however, moving on their wedding plans. Theirs will not be an indefinite engagement. We keep hearing that they want to get married this year, but there is no date or destination yet. Supposedly. All we’ve known up until now is that Kourtney is taking the lead on the planning, but she’s pretty relaxed about it. ET reports that the couple is interested in getting hitched this spring or summer and the vibe of the event will match them as a couple. And, according to insiders, that equates to “both of their styles with some sexiness and elegance.” I assume “sexiness and elegance” is open to interpretation here.
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are more than ready to walk down the aisle! The couple got engaged in a romantic beachfront proposal last October, and a source tells ET that wedding bells are coming soon.
“Kourtney and Travis are looking at dates in the spring and summer for their wedding,” the source shares. “They want their wedding to speak on behalf of both of their styles with some sexiness and elegance.”
Though the source notes that both the 46-year-old drummer and the 42-year-old reality star have been involved with the wedding planning, “Kourtney has been leading the way.”
I was going to make some joke about where Kardashian falls on the Elegance Scale, but this wedding is one of the least obnoxious things they’ve thrust at us so I’m not going to take potshots. I think we can assume there will be countless flowers filling every surface and seam because that’s their thing. Music will factor heavily into both ceremony and reception, which will make for a great party. The kids will also be involved, but I’m not sure if it will be just Kourt and Travis’ kids or all the nieces and nephews too. There’s a lot of speculation that the wedding will be small. That’s the only part I doubt. Maybe the ceremony but the reception will likely be big. I don’t think Momager Kris would allow anything else.
Which brings me to what I really want to talk about – what’s with playing coy with the details? Money can open a lot of doors quickly but I’m not buying that the Kardashian Klan possibly wants a spring wedding and hasn’t already secured everything to make that happen. I know the pandemic made things more available, but that window closed quickly in Southern California, trust me. If Kourtney expects to get married in the next six months, every service and location necessary has already been secured. With that suspicion cast, I find this new information that Kourtney might be looking at a spring wedding interesting. Because a spring wedding would certainly work well with the April 14 premiere date of their new Hulu show.

I agree on the ick factor but in terms of whose marriage would last longer I have to go with Travis and Kourtney. Travis and Kourtney have known each other quite a long time and their kids all know each other and have interacted with each other for years. Of the Kardashians, Kourtney is the most stable (low bar, I know) and the least reactive. It seems like a relationship that moved from friend zone to romantic when the stars aligned.
The Benifer wild card is Ben Affleck. He is the epitome of unstable with his drinking being the biggest issue—he seems to stay sober only for a few years at a time. Secondly, he is a known cheater.

I’m really happy for them. They seem so in love I’m just rooting for them. Kourtney is my favorite Kardashian (if I had to choose) and she’s making the right choice to get with someone who is madly in love with her and doesn’t cheat on her. For that alone she’s got a good head on her shoulders.
