As we all know by now, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari got married last week. It looked like a beautiful wedding. I loved Britney’s gown and veil and the flowers were lovely. I was also touched to see the famous faces in attendance. We know that Britney has no problem calling out anyone who wronged her or used her situation as a punchline. So I think it’s safe to assume that her wedding guests were the people who supported her or reached out to her. One of those guests was Paris Hilton, who publicly supported Britney even when the media tried to pit the two women against each other. Britney was invited to Paris’ wedding in November, but Britney wasn’t emotionally prepared for an event of that size, so she did not attend. I’m willing to bet Paris was a little relieved considering how much attention Britney’s presence would have received at PARISFEST ’21 (with special guest “the groom”). But Paris did come to Britney’s wedding and happily posed for photos with the bride and other celebrity guests like Drew Barrymore, Selena Gomez, Donatella Versace, and Madonna.
What Paris was not willing to do, however, was let us walk by without know what a big flipping deal it was that she was there. Because, you see, she had other offers that she turned down to be there. What other offer, you ask? Oh, you didn’t? That’s okay, Paris told us anyway. She was supposed to DJ for President Joe Biden who was in Southern California for the Summit of the Americas and, apparently, craving the Ibiza beats of DJ Paris H. But Paris told told the Commander in Chief “nope.”
Paris Hilton was one of many celebrity friends of Britney Spears and Sam Asghari who showed up to celebrate their nuptials this week. The pair go way back, and there was no way Hilton would ever miss such a big day for her pop star friend. And it turns out, she did miss something pretty big to be there.
On Friday, Hilton released an episode of her This is Paris podcast which sounds like it was recorded right after the epic festivities. She revealed that she had been scheduled to DJ that same night and had to back out—and the person she was going to be DJing for was President Joe Biden. The performance was for his Summit of Americas dinner at the Getty Villa in Los Angeles.
“I was actually asked to DJ for the president and all of the other presidents from around the world for the dinner,” she said on the episode. “But this was more important to me.”
Hilton was also tasked with keeping the event a secret.
“[I] was keeping it top secret all week,” she said. “Literally, I did not tell anyone, not even the people I asked [for] dresses that were sent, my whole team, my glam, my driver, everyone.”
She continued, “I’m not gonna into any details because it was the princess bride’s night and that’s her story to tell, but all I can say is that I am just so incredibly happy for her…She looked stunning. It made me so happy to see that she found her fairytale and they are a beautiful couple and just glowing.”
“I was actually asked to DJ for the president and all of the other presidents from around the world for the dinner.” Bless her heart. The geographic parameters are in the name of the event. But let’s move on. Did Paris get asked to DJ this event? I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt. In the details* for the dinner, it list the entertainment as “The Presidents Own, the United States Marine Band that include vocalists, an orchestra, and 17 trumpeters, as well as the U.S. Military Color Guard carrying the flags of all of the participating Western Hemisphere nations.” Sure, Paris makes perfect sense to open for The President’s Own. Although, I don’t think there is any other way Paris would have known this dinner was happening. She’s been doing good work speaking to Congress on teen congregate care abuse and Pres. Biden might’ve wanted to recognize that. I don’t know how firm the offer was, but I can accept that Paris chose Britney. She had more chance getting her photo on social media for Britney’s wedding. I’m kidding! This is a no brainer to me. I would choose a wedding I believed in over a work thing if I had the luxury. I know it’s the POTUS but not the one Paris voted for, so she doesn’t care.
I think Paris’ comments on how happy she was for Britney were very sweet. And I believe Paris means them. I’ll cast a lot of shade on Paris but not on her friendship with Britney. I think that’s one of the few real parts of Paris’ life. Excepting this after-the-wedding presidential name-drop, Paris didn’t try to anything to upstage Britney’s big day. Unlike Madonna who centered herself in Britney’s wedding photos. You probably know what you’re getting when you’re in Madonna’s orbit, but this is just… so Madonna.

Glad for her, she chose well. It would be a pretty big deal to have to pass on a huge work event like that – that would have been a career highlight I’m sure. A mature decision, my estimation of her has increased.
I didn’t know she was Trump trash but it doesn’t surprise me. I guess, like most people, I just don’t really think of Paris at all.
She seems like Trump trash. She’s plastic, empty, self centered, money grabbing narcissist.

Is Paris actually any good as a DJ?
Surprisingly (to me), Paris really is a big DJ in Europe and America and has been for years. Look, Paris is going to be Paris, but she did choose Britney and I do love the picture with all the ladies who supported Britney through her worst moments. It is touching and many are very big names. Kindness to Britney in her darkest times must have meant so much to her and it’s very emotional because those times were indeed very, very dark. I love that Paris’ husband looks so down to earth and is okay with Paris taking the lead with her dramatic self. Considering the life Paris was born into, she has found her path and her partner and I’m glad for her. And I truly love Britney had her girl squad with her during her miraculous taking-back-her life wedding. Bravo.
Paris is a Depp and Trump supporter, so I’m not surprised at her lack of awareness.
Almost every single pic where Paris is posing, is of the same angle. I guess she thinks she looks best from that one particular angle. But once you notice it, it becomes very distracting.
Also, has she had some face work done? Is that a dumb question? Her face looks different…..
She’s definitely had work done. in the second image you can see that both of them have the same lips. she’s “prettier” than she used to be, but in a fairly bland, generic way. and it’s interesting when you see the rare photo when she’s not showing her “best” angle, she actually doesn’t look like “Paris Hilton”.
And yeah, I think it’s great that she has been so supportive of Britney.

As far as her “DJ-ing” goes, I’m pretty sure that someone (not her) puts together a set on a disc (or whatever) and she just hits play and pretends to be mixing and switching things up here and there. I could be wrong, but this is what I’ve heard.

I kind of like her dress, but her ridiculous posing in every photo is so distracting. She’s got to have back problems from that, she’s been doing that dumb lean over pose for decades now.
Guessing the president has plenty of non Trump loving DJs to pick from when he requires one.
I think it’s mean to mock someone with obvious mental health issues, including bulimia.
I remember all the shit they both got back in the day for just hanging out and having fun. Genuinely heartwarming to see Paris has been a good friend to Britney this whole time.
Brit needs good people around her after the conservatorship but Paris is not who comes to mind. Hope Brit has some people around her who genuinely care about her.
Ridiculous pose yes. But anyone as distracted as me by the cables and charger lying around next to the plug. So distracting. Found many of these glam photos during Covid of stars on big nights in big gowns in their often not at all glamorous homes very amusing. Ugly carpets, weird cables lying around, it’s not just us commoners 😉
