  1. really. is she worse than any other pop singer? no. she’s the same, if not more tame than most of them. whatever, i wonder who hates her that much to write such a silly article.

  3. I’m more upset about the fact that she took a perfectly good Heart song and “Christina Aguilera’d” her way through it.

  5. Wait, what about Michael Jackson grabbing his crotch? Face it, the kiddies are exposed to a lot from any place they want. The cats out of the bag.

  6. Well, sometimes when you do a bunch of coke, it doesn’t matter that children are present, you just have to move to the music. critics be damned!

  7. If those parents have ever listened to a Fergie song, they wouldn’t have had their pre-teens standing there. The Today people are in control of who stands where, too, and they put those kids there. They clearly don’t bother to pay attention to the lyrics and sexuality of artists they feature, either.

I’m not making excuses for Fergie. I was all ready to defend her then I watched the Barracuda clip and while I’m sure it was choreographed and rehearsed, there were definitely places where she could have toned it down ALOT considering who was RIGHT in front of her. Even when your career is based on being sexy, you should be able to adjust when it’s called for.

  8. Does she still have accidents onstage? I thought that was a one-time thing. Does she have a medical problem or just a small bladder? Sorry to be so graphic but it is just so odd.

  10. I harbor a deep, totally irrational hatred of Fergie. I just do.

  11. those kids weren´t supposed to be there in first place! am not defending Fergie, but I confess am kinda embarrassed for her , lol
even tho I think its undestandable that kids are appealed to her music and childish themed video clips, and they obviously dont have the perversion to assimilate what is all really about!
Unfortunately I´ve seen people doing worse than that in front of kids…and consequentely kids imitating it! Thats exaclty when parenting should come to the scene!!!!!

  12. I’m going to assume that if she peed her pants once, then it happens to her everyday. And frankly, that’s the nicest thing I’ve ever said about Fergie.

  13. Maybe that’s why she’s started to wear rubber pants JayBird.

  14. Seriously, Fergie is so not hot [in my opinion]. She’s all botoxed, and she STILL looks like her face is all smashed around.

Plus, does she not feel even a *little* bit lame while she’s gyrating for *children*?

That wasn’t even a song. It was an attempt at a gyration-gymnastics combo.

  15. Fergie’s a skank with a questionable IQ, so this is no surprise. That being said, I do agree that it ultimately comes down to the parents. No way in HELL would I let my preteen daughter go see Fergie bump and grind live. What did they expect?

  16. her vocals on barracuda were alright but not quite sure as to why she was “covering” a song on the today show?
i agree with you diva, she could have altered her moves to be more daytime/audience friendly.
thank god i don’t watch morning/daytime television and thank god most kids were where they should be for that cheesy performance-IN SCHOOL

  17. I couldn’t concentrate on the sex moves as I was too horrified by that terrible Barracuda cover (if you can call it a “cover”, really).

The thing is: she does those sex moves but looks anything but sexy.
Somehow, both images got blurred and confused big time these last ten (or is it even more?) years.
Marilyn Monroe, Ingrid Bergman, Greta Garbo, Grace Kelly, etc. There are enough examples to learn from.

  18. HAHAHAHAHAHA is she trying to channel Axl Rose circa 1988 in those pants!

  19. Wow, that was one of the most uncomfortable performances I’ve seen.
She’s trying so hard to be sexy and she fails…completely. I don’t see any simulated oral sex though and the breast touch thing wasn’t overt, the writhing in front of the kids was just weird and the ass shake was unnecessary, kind of like Fergy herself. The kids in the front row looked mortified. I didn’t expect her sound ok though - was surprised she didn’t suck.
