Megan Fox for Armani: ridiculously unsexy, or really cute?

wenn3020770

I swear to God, I did not plan on spending most of my morning writing about the plague of waxy puffiness that has invaded every aspect of my life. First it was whatever happened to Christina Aguilera, and before that it was Jada Pinkett Smith’s alien face. And now I’m looking at photos of Megan Fox, and I just can’t with this bitch. I know some people think that Megan’s face has “settled” since her most recent bout of plastic surgery, but I’m not seeing it. She looks like a plastic doll. Anyway, these are photos of Megan and her husband Brian Austin Green in Milan for the Armani show over the weekend. As you may remember, Megan is the official crotch of Armani. Here’s her new Armani ad:

Isn’t that incredibly trashy? It’s worse because you know the Armani people and whoever shot seem to think that this is what we should aspire to – really, really thin with a completely jacked face. It’s not sexy. And they really want it to be sexy. Sad.

It does indeed … this girl SO f**king annoys me with all these phoney “look at me I’m so gorgeous” looks, while if you Google old pix of her, she doesn’t even look like the same person. She was naturally very cute, but the botox, lip-fillers, cheek implants and boob job ruined it, blechh. Seems already she can’t even move her face or smile properly … and she’s still basically a kid !!

I did not think that the ad was bad. It was kind of sexy because she was getting dressed. I thought Megan looked fine in the ad because it did not look like she had on a boatload of make-up. Her face is not so bad when she keeps the make-up down to a minimum.

She looks like a blow-up sex doll especially in that first pic.

But it’s not just the over-red glory hole that invites comparison. Her skin looks stretched and shiny…like vinyl. Yuck.

All I see when I look at her sitting there in the front row, is how she doesn’t measure up.
I look at her, feigning interest, pretending that she has any style at all in her body and then I look at her jacked up face and I’m thinking, poor litte thing must really be missing her trailer days right about now.
At least she was free to share her stupidity with the world back then, and it didn’t generate days of media hoopla.

That was kind of a cute ad. Made me laugh. And Megan looks way better in moving pictures than she does in still ones. Her face is jacked for sure though, and I hope she cuts it out. She was prettier before this last round of surgery and if she keeps it up she’ll lose her looks entirely.

I’m naturally very thin and toned and it astounds me how many women (usually chubbier ones)think it’s acceptable to make assumptions about my diet, health or lifestyle. It’s rude. Womens bodies accross the spectrum can be beautiful.

No not LIKE DUH, I find myself more attractive than many. That attitude is extremely self-defeating, and one you have expressed over and over – the idea that celebrities are more special and attractive than regular folk. You do this in your constant adoration and your views toward their appearances. Get some self-esteem.

LOL @Wondefful I said HOTTER THAN YOU, not hotter than me. Please, my self-esteem is a little to high if you ask me. I think everyone else could use a self-esteem check if the only way you feel hawt is to say over and over this person had work done they aren’t as beautiful as I see they are, I can hate on them and feel superior because I didn’t alter my looks but if I did I would look hawt too, which not everyone who gets work done looks good after, hell if Megan did have work done you wish you could look that damn good.

That general attitude seeping into American women is sad. Making fun of Demi Moore because she is older and still beautiful. Oh she had to have had work done, she must have, oh Ashton would never love the real Demi Moore. Ugh Why not just applaud the woman for banging a younger man and finding happiness after her divorce. Jeez, get over the plastic surgery thing.

I’ve never found her to be beautiful. I’m a big admirer of natural beauty that a person is BORN with, not that they paid for. Natural beauty is close to non-existent in Hollywood today and everything is pretty much attainable if you have the money for it. Anyway, I’m not trying to hate on her or anything, just saying she’s not beautiful (to me).

  42. Jover says:

That Armani choose this overrated, no talent trailer park ho as their “face” shows how far the fashion industry has sunk. Were there no naturally beautiful Italian models and actresses available that this bozo got the gig. Actually, I read on Huffpost that Megafarse’s people spent a year courting Armani to get this gig. Probably job security, because her magnificent acting skills won’t long bring home the bacon. To anyone that believes she’s gorgeous, go on youtube and look at the Vogue photos from the 40s – 60s, or the 90s supermodels – those women where beautiful and compared to which Megafarse is an 8 year old in bad dress-up. And I agree with your assessment, Jean; what does that say about today’s fashion world?

@ Love Angelina. I agree she is hotter and prettier than, say, 70% of the world population. Somehow, though, I think she could have been hotter than 90% if she did not ruin her body and face. AND she needs 10 more kilos on her bones. You can even see her neck veins.

whattttt? she’s gorgeous. everyone and their negativity just sound so jealous! she does look like she has had a bit too much work done, but i believe all women should know how much makeup can do for a person, especially when you have a team of ppl doing it for hours on end before you go out. when you see her without makeup, she looks much better and natural, so im guessing they just pile the shit on her. but really, everyone sounds so jealous and judgmental. she looks beautiful in the ad, though a bit trashy definitely..i think the tattoos do that…but how is she not a pretty girl? i dont understand so many opinionated ppl sometimes.

  47. Jean says:

    @Jover
Let me try to answer your rhetorical question: I think the main problem is on another level entirely.
While clothes and fashion in general have an undeniable grasp on society and shape society’s norms and ideals, in terms of beauty and esthetics, fashion is also, at the same time, at the mercy of society.
At the best of times, fashion is this wonderful form of escapism and self-expression, at its worst, it’s a mirror of society.
I think the latter explains Megan Fox for Armani. Although it is Armani Jeans, and aims at a younger target demographic, it still is somewhat disturbing to see someone like her in this ad campaign. Models and their (oftentimes) unconventional beauty and diversity, have been pushed off the cover of magazines’ to make room for the generic starlet of the day. Why?
Mass appeal. Many people prefer the obvious, “in-your-face” kind of beauty, however it might’ve come about and been achieved. Looking “deeper”, which would also require a certain level of self-reflection, is too demanding for most people nowadays. That being said, I have my doubts that Megan Fox will “move up in the ranks” and take over any other (major) fashion campaigns, as wealthy and accomplished women, who tend to spend quite a lot on upscale designer fashion, would probably be offended at this woman’s vulgarity.

  48. Cam says:

I’m with @Love Angelina and co. The girl is GORGEOUS! she has a great great body, and YES she’s thin… but why cant she be thin and healthy? I’m so damn thin and I like it, whenever people tell me that i need ‘more meat on my bones’ i go crazy, i mean.. it doesnt mean that i dont eat, because i do… A LOT, but i work out, and keep a healthy diet, and im sure she does too.

Ok, she had plastic surgery… but she still looks great, with or without makeup. I’m not a fan of hers but let’s face reality, all of you who say she doesnt look ‘that good’ or that u would also look great if u had her money, are DYING to look like her. I’m happy with my looks but yeah, as @Love Ang. said: “Hello they are STARS they are gonna BE HOTTER THAN YOU” so I say: you go girl! keep doing what u r doing.

About the add… I liked it, but I agree with you saying that it looks kind of trashy.

Well, it’s certainly more tasteful than what she usually wears. So I’m a plus on this, but how weird is her stunt double/look-alike sitting next to her hubby in that pic? Looks like her younger twin!

It’s not the most beautiful ensemble, but she doesn’t, to borrow an Amy Pohler line, look like a cheap hooker at a gang bang. I think if we’re setting the bar that low, she’s bound to hop over it once in a while.

Don’t most of us use those things to improve how we look?

  57. OP says:

I just love how some people on here think that their OPINION is more important than anyone else’s or actual fact.

For those stuck in dreamland, it is NOT possible for one person to be found attractive by every single (billions) person on this planet. Everyone has different tastes, styles (depending where you live), how you were raised and just individual taste.

To sit here and say people are crazy for not finding someone they find or don’t find attractive is just plain stupid. It’s called an OPINION for a reason.

If you go to some parts in Africa the people won’t find her attractive because like larger women with big hips. To them that’s a sign of good child bearing. I can go on and on but hopefully you get the point with that one example.

At the end of the day just state your opinion as just that….YOUR opinion. Your opinion is not fact or law, just how you see something from your point of view.

So please give it a rest on trying to force others to see it your way. In the real world it just doesn’t work that way. Let everyone have their own opinion because if it really bothers you so much that other people have different views then your own, maybe you have self issues to deal with.

For those of you who agree with this statement:

“Anyone who doesn’t think she’s beautiful is jealous.” (#54)

Why? Why would they be jealous? Is it because YOU are jealous when YOU find someone else attractive? Are you projecting again?

  60. Jover says:

Jean, thank you for your response, much appreciated. Not to continue this posting too long, but first: not to disparage others, but how can anyone see “gorgeous” in her as we would both agree, she is tacky, cheap, lacking in any allure or mystery, and mostly looks out at the world with vacant, screw-me eyes. Is this really the ideal of female beauty for advertisers and fashion houses like Armani? Fortunately, the public has largely rejected her so we may be spared seeing her.
Finally, emma, no one is jealous of her; you confuse outspokeness with rank stupidity – she is as corporate, packaged and commercial as any.

Report this comment as spam or abuse

  61. DiMi says:

Pirouette, I don’t think you really understand the concept of projection because you are applying it incorrectly here. Try to understand a concept before you start throwing it around. In any case, while I wouldn’t go so far as to say that people who don’t think she is beautiful are jealous, I do think that the people who are calling her ugly – which is absurd – should think about why they need to attack attractive women, even if those women don’t represent their individual taste. For example, I think she has had too much surgery and it makes her look odd, but I still think she’s attractive, and I can still understand why people think she’s pretty and sexy. Nobody is asking the women who are calling her “jacked” and ugly to model for important Italian designers. I think those women are angry – and envious – of Megan Fox because like it or not, she has become an INTERNATIONAL sex and beauty symbol. I think it’s fine to attack our culture for pressuring women to get so much surgery and to be unnaturally thin. However, I think these nasty and unnecessary personal attacks on individual women do stem from envy and sexism.

I think the commercial is saucy and cute although I don’t really like the ending in which they equate sexuality and money.
