Elisabeth Moss goes blonde: just gorgeous or not cute enough?

wenn3112898

Yes, these aren’t the best photos of her – it’s like the photographer set his flash to “Make Everyone Like A Ghost”. There are some normal-colored photos at the end of the post. Beyond the flash issues, I do want to note this though – Elisabeth Moss has a new look! She’s either been growing out her hair and it grows really, really fast, or she’s got some clip-in hair pieces back there. Her hair is also dramatically lighter! There is no hint of Peggy, the spunky, mod, “cute as hell” copywriter who spent years in Bangs Trauma Purgatory. This Elisabeth is a beautiful divorcee who rolls with Xenu.

Elisabeth also recently signed on for a stint on the London stage too – she and Keira Knightley and Ellen Burstyn are going to be doing The Children’s Hour, the famous Lillian Hellman play (that was turned into a film starring Audrey Hepburn and Shirley MacLaine). The play will like run from February to April of next year. After that, Moss probably has to jump right back into Mad Men filming, and she’ll probably have to change her hair again. Sweet Jesus, I can’t believe how long I have to wait for new episodes. GRR… but I am happy that Lizzie (as her Mad Men castmates call her) is getting some high-profile work, and that she’s doing a play with Keira and Ellen. That’s really exciting!

I like it. Blond softens her. The next step are some (good) bangs, I think she would look even better.

  2. Siren6 says:

It’s lovely on her. She is not classically beautiful but does a fantastic job working what she’s got. Love the new look!

  3. Angela says:

I don’t find her pretty, but this hair color suits her.

  4. crab says:

I think what distracts her from being cute is her giant forehead! She has a huge space between her hairline and her eyebrows! She should try bangs of some sort!

  5. launicaangelina says:

Wispy long bangs would do the trick. The dresses not helping the new hair color. She’s a great actress.

  6. The_Porscha says:

The second picture, where she’s looking over her shoulder and up, is stunning. I think this hair suits her better than the others. It does indeed soften her, and it makes her look a lot cuter/less harsh.

  7. anti says:

    ahe looks washed out.

her hair was beautiful before, suited her face and was shiny too.

  8. Donna Wingfield says:

The hair color and the dress make her fade into the background.

  9. lucy2 says:

I like it, it’s a nice color on her.

  10. Newbie says:

Am I the only one not liking it? Her hair looks super dry to me. And the color seems a little cheap. I really like her dress, though.

  11. Miss A says:

I’ve never understood the big aversion with foreheads. There are cultures that value them and find it a sign of intelligence.

I have no qualms with it. She looks beautiful. If only her sleeves matched.

  12. susanne says:

I’ve got a bit of a forehead aversion, I’ll admit it. It’s the first thing I notice about her. The dress is great- I hope she doesn’t get too skinny.

  13. aenflex says:

    Blonde can’t hide that forehead.

  14. Marjalane says:

Was she in Lars and the Real girl with Ryan Gosling?

  15. ziggy says:

    she has very pretty eyes.

  16. Leticia says:

She is much prettier with her new hair color and style!

  17. danielle says:

    I like the hair color.

  18. Jessi says:

    She looks great-I love it!

  19. gabs says:

Definitely an improvement. She looks cuter. Still cant be a fan of someone down with Xenu though

  20. Isabel says:

    She looks like Walter Mondale.

  21. Looks gorge. I love it.

  22. devilgirl says:

What is it with people always worrying about foreheads? I would rather have a big forehead, instead of some Theresa Giudice gorilla forehead thing going on.

  23. Dingles says:

The hair looks great. Now if we could just do something with those eyebrows.

  24. connie says:

ahhh ive been having such a hard time watching madmen because i found her looks so distracting (in an unattractive way, im a bitch i know) but i think she looks so pretty here!

  25. Feebee says:

Not gorgeous but definitely cute enough.

  26. Henriette says:

She’s a homely woman but the blonde makes her look a little less so.

  27. mercy says:

I agree with all those who are suggesting BANGS would improve her look. The hair color is nice.

  28. PrettyLights says:

I like it, and I love that she goes for a natural look and doesn’t pile on pounds of makeup.

  29. hyuch says:

I think people without high foreheads look weird! I think a high forhead makes you look intelligent and elegant in the vast majority of cases….she is both pretty nad beautiful imo, but that shade of dress is a bit blah, The cut is lovely.

  30. crazydaisy says:

Homely?! I think not! She’s adorable. Looks somewhat like Jodie Foster in these pics, but softer—anyone else see that? Love her in Mad Men, too!

  31. original kate says:

    she looks very pretty here.

  32. Isabel says:

Agreed about the bangs…she could use something to break up that forehead. It’s really quite enormous. Blonde is very pretty on her…getting better for sure.

  33. Bitter fruit says:

I always loved her in West Wing. Damn what is going on with her eighthead?

  34. LittleDeadGirl says:

Love the hair color and style which softens her face and gives her a real ethereal beauty I like but needs bangs for sure …

  35. hoganbcmj says:

I find her really pretty. There is something very appealing about her. I don’t mind the eighthead, but bangs wouldn’t hurt. She is one of those people who can look gorgeous from certain angles, and totally strange and interesting from others. Altogether it works for me.

  36. Dr_Venkman says:

Too much head/hair for the rest of the body. She looks odd.

  37. jennifer says:

I love her and find her VERY beautiful! Also, she is an amazing actress. Possibly my favorite actress on tv right now, and soooo talented. No one can deny the girl has skill.

  38. kelly says:

Now she looks just like every other hustling bleached piece on the ‘third choice’ pile. WHY?
    Loved her brunette.

  39. Trippin says:

Give that girl some bangs to keep that big old forehead warm.
