That’s one show I guarantee I will never even CONSIDER watching.

    She is so over.

  2. Bob says:

How does this lunatic continue to get work? Aren’t there any sane people that NBC could hire to host a show? πŸ™„

  3. daisy424 says:

  4. Kimmy says:

Rosie didn’t leave ‘The Rosie O’Donnell Show’ in 1996. 1996 is the year the show started. Do your research!

  5. lulu says:

why would anyone want to put such an annoying woman back on tv?

  6. Alicia says:

Lulu, the answer to your question is they are DESPERATE and will do ANYTHING to get attention. I’m not watching the pathetic anti American. 😈

  7. CNH says:

My apologies. I meant that her show started in 1996. It was probably my poor choice of wording.

Deeply apologetic….I have changed it. 😐

  8. Kimmy says:

    CNH… Thank you.

I know I can sound like a bitch, commenting in these forums. Most of the time I’m pointing out an error that’s either grammatical, syntax related, or factual in manner.

My comment about the post headline with the text ‘Drew’s Barrymore’s film’ was ignored. I sarcastically mentioned, “I didn’t know Drew had a Barrymore’s film!” That comment of mine wasn’t heeded, unfortunately. πŸ™

Please understand, my father, the man who raised me, is a novelist (yes, an accomplished novelist) who taught me to be obsessive about the English language. I know sometimes your posts here may be rushed. But my father takes pride in the fact that the manuscripts he sends to his publishers are completely lacking of spelling, grammatical and syntax related errors.

The way he raised me may have resulted in my becoming an annoying young woman. But I assume you take pride in the professional manner that posts on Celebitchy are written.

  9. jessiee says:

    Kimmy —

    Shut the f up.

    Do you LISTEN to yourself?

  10. vdantev says:

So tired of Rosie, she give liberals and lesbians a bad name. And she should FIRE her spray tan people ! ICK!!!

  11. kate says:

that loud mouthed fat-ass is yesterday’s news. nobody will watch her show.

  12. Kimmy says:

    jessiee (what a peculiar way to spell ‘Jessie!’);

    Read this-

‘Heloo. This are my attempt too sound realee profeshonall when riteing a celebrity blog.

Da newz fer 2day izz: Angeleena Jolie starred in a realee bigg hitt blockbuster! Da title of the movee izz ‘Laura Kroft: Toom Rayder’ and it comed out in 1992. It realee kicked azz!’

Now, ‘jessiee’, wasn’t that painful to read?

  13. daisy424 says:

vdantev agree, bet she has the ‘Mariah’ spray 6 pack on her stomach πŸ˜‰

  14. anon69 says:

She is an angry hateful bitch, plain and simple.

  15. snappyfish says:

I’m sorry, did I stumble into School House Rock’s grammar 101 blog?

  16. Nouvel says:

LOVE ROSIE, and so do alot of people. The View had more ratings than ever before with her on that show. She is HONEST, smart, and very talented. Her show will be a huge success just like everything else she does.. AWESOME JOB ROSIE.

  17. Scott F. says:

Couldn’t hate this waste of oxygen more. This woman is a foaming at the mouth extremist – which is unattractive on either side.

Kim – That was annoying, but so are grammar Nazis.

  18. Hanna says:

Honest? Maybe. Smart? Hell no! She’s so stupid that hearing her speak makes my ears ache.

I had no idea anyone was even vaguely interested in what that idiotic windbag had to say anymore, let alone a whole network.

    NBC…ah, well. I shouldn’t be surprised.

  19. Nan says:

She is a ratings magnet. I never cared for her until she came out. She grew up near me. I have a site but I won’t disclose it until I get to a certian #. Some of you have already found me. I’m suprised you didn’t figure it out & blow my cover. When I am ready for that, CB will be the 1st to know.

  20. leapbaby says:

I think all of you are quite harsh about Rosie..I bet there isn’t one of you that has the millions she has. Maybe I’m stupid but in my mind that makes her a pretty smart woman with a very good career. When was the last time you had a giant company fighting over you?

  21. daisy424 says:

Being rich doesn’t make her likable.

  22. jessiee says:

    “Kimmy” —

jessiee is Jessie E — not at all peculiar unless you are a anal-compulsive, superior bitch who thinks she is the grammar police for a bunch of people who are reading for fun, not to be policed on a regular basis.

For the record, I am a magna cum laude graduate with a degree in English, an honors grammar student, and can form a sentence probably as well, if not better, than you. I, however, do not take it upon myself to speak down to the people in this venue who work very hard to bring us all entertainment. While I can appreciate your desire for correct grammar and syntax in all situations, I suggest you button your lip and realize that you come off like a superior bitch and that you will make no friends if you continue on with behavior such as you’ve exhibited.

As I said before, shut the f up.

–jessiee (peculiar as it may be TO YOU)

  23. Scott F. says:

leapbaby – Paris Hilton has a lot more money than your average NASA physicist, does that make her more intelligent than one? Equating money with intelligence only works if you made your money doing something that requires intelligence.

If you make millions writing software or inventing new drugs for a pharmaceutical company, you’re probably pretty smart. If you make your millions acting in bad movies and throwing toys at people … not so much.

  24. Kimmy says:

    jessiee;

    ‘Drew’s Barrymore’s film?’

I’m sure the fine people at CB would prefer their text to have proper syntax. They wouldn’t deliberately make a mistake like that. Little mistakes like that, whether they’re in the New York Times, a high school newspaper, or a celebrity blog, give off an impression that is unprofessional. That’s why big publications, small publications, and little Internet publications usually proofread and edit their work.

What I corrected in this post, which was fixed after I pointed it out, was a factual error. The post originally said that Rosie quit ‘The Rosie O’Donnell Show’ in 1996, but 1996 was the year ‘The Rosie O’Donnell Show’ started. CNH edited the post with the correct year that Rosie stopped doing ‘The Rosie O’Donnell Show’, 2002.

  25. leapbaby says:

I was just trying to point out, that to tag someone a lunatic, crazy, pathetic, and anti-american was harsh. But I’m sure these people do not know nor want to know her history and what she has accomplished in her life. I think she has done very well for herself considering she isn’t a NASA Physicist, but I do think she is very intellgent.

As for Paris Hilton, there is no comparison. Do you think without her fathers money she would be running with the same people, or able to do the things she does and get by with it. I would not call her names, except to say I think she is just a rich spoiled childish/woman.

  26. Nan says:

Stop it. You are all talented. Dlisted or perez just let losers run wild on their site. That’s why I don’t read the sad comments on there by truly SAD people. Sure i hate being moderated on this site but at least I know they don’t just let ANYONE in.

  27. Amy says:

@Kimmy — I am an English graduate and a professional writer. I never correct people unless I am being paid to edit their work. Even then, I do it with tact.

Anything else is just plain rude. JMO. πŸ™‚

  28. Andrea says:

    Well said, CB.

Kimmy, you might be surprised to know just how many English majors there are on this site. Take a source for what it is. This site doesn’t come off as unprofessional because an occasional syntax/grammar error. There are, however, forums for people like you. You might feel more appreciated there where your corrections will be welcomed.

  29. geronimo says:

Kimmy – pompous, laughably condescending, humourless, unintentionally self-parodying. Too much time on the detail and not enough on understanding how to communicate effectively through the written word. You plainly know very little about language on the basis of your posts here.

  30. DKC says:

I think you guys are being awfully unfair to Kimmy. She really didnt write anything nasty. I’ve seen other visitors to this site post comments about minor mistakes being made in posts. The viciousness directed toward her here was really at a 4th grade level.

If you think she could’ve been more ‘tactful’, for Christ sakes, don’t reply with ‘STFU!’ Hypocrites.

  31. geronimo says:

Well, DKC, when Kimmy learns to write well and respectfully towards others, I’m sure she’ll be treated accordingly. Tone is everything.

AND, when, in Kimmy’s case, her OWN grammar is less than perfect (I won’t stoop to Kimmy’s level here by giving an example *cough*lacking in, not of*cough*) it’s wiser to not draw attention to others’ very minor mistakes. Just saying.

  32. geronimo says:

    Duh. πŸ™„

Read my comment for heavens’s sake. It’s not the correcting, it’s the tone. Kimmy needs to practice her written communication skills. And you need to practice your reading ones.

  33. DKC says:

‘Kimmy – pompous, laughably condescending, humourless, unintentionally self-parodying.’

geronimo- If your ‘tone’ toward Kimmy was kinder, instead of vicious, I would take your criticism of her more seriously. You’re being a hypocrite by being nasty toward her, while preaching about ‘tact’. If you said something like, ‘I see your point. But, could you be a little more gentle about it next time, please?’ then you would be in the right and I wouldn’t be defending her.

But you’re a hypocrite by engaging in the very same type of behavior you’re attacking her about.

    I can’t stand hypocrites.

  34. geronimo says:

If Kimmy continues to correct people in the way she has corrected people here, then she will continue to get exactly the same response from me. We’re not going to find common ground so will have to agree to disagree here. I’m done.

  35. jessiee says:

    Geronimo —

I’m on board. You Get Me.

    πŸ˜‰

  36. DKC says:

So, geronimo, you’ll continue to slam ‘rude’ people by being rude yourself, instead of trying to set a positive example?

And, jessiee with your ‘I’m on board’…

I remember being brutally bullied as a little boy in school. This is classic ‘let’s gang up on one person, as a group!’ behavior.

The way I was traumatized at an early age by childish cruelty makes me want to defend people from childish cruelty, and HYPOCRISY, as an adult.

If you explained to Kimmy that she was being ‘tactless’ in a tactful manner, you would win the argument, while looking like a decent person.

Once again, I can’t stand hypocrites. Or bullies.

  37. Lauri says:

“I was just trying to point out, that to tag someone a lunatic, crazy, pathetic, and anti-american was harsh.”

It may be harsh, but it is very true.

  38. Nan says:

Wow, Rosie lost out to Kimmy. Not a good sign.

  39. daisy424 says:

Nan, Hmmmm it takes alot, but you have piqued my curiosity. What gives ❓

DKC, I too know what that feels like to be bullied, kids would taunt and throw rocks at my brother and I, just because he had a glass eye. Kids are mean.

By allowing that to continue to traumatize you, you are handing those people the power.
Shake it off and move on.

  40. daisy424 says:

CB: My last post went to spam I think, can you dig it out? Too long to re-write. πŸ™‚

  41. geronimo says:

DKC, you need to stop lecturing me. It’s very counter-productive. I’m not a hypocrite and am rarely rude (unless it’s a Heather Mills or Paris Hilton or Brooke Hogan or Brangelina hate-fest post when I’m left with no option.) Most importantly, don’t accuse me of bullying. Otherwise I will be accusing you of the worst type of sanctimonious grandstanding.

  42. Nan says:

DKC, I suggest you steer clear of posting on DListed. Nothing worse than getting slammed by a pack of losers.

  43. jessiee says:

I’ll put an end to this, since I effectively started it.

DKC — my comment to Geronmino: “I’m on board” was meant simply to state that she (I think she?? LOL) was able to much more effectively communicate what I was trying to get across than I. Thus, “I’m on board. You Get Me.”

Bullying? I think NOT. I think perhaps you project a little of your own insecurities here and invest a little too much personally in what you have read. If anyone here has done any bullying, it began with Kimmy and her superiority approach against those writing this blog. I simply stepped in and suggested that, albeit slightly unkindly ;-), she acted totally inappropriately.

Should you feel the need to take the opposite position, feel free to do so. I suspect you are often on the opposing side of any discussion that goes on, simply because you enjoy the discourse that comes of playing devil’s advocate.

I sent an immediate complaint to C|B after Kimmy’s first comment, and then left my first response for Kimmy, who chose to keep this going by responding to me in a likewise insulting fashion. I now end it, with the full and complete understanding that I’ve started something slightly distasteful.

Let’s all let it go, now. For the good of the order.

    Have a lovely day, all.

  44. Bodhi says:

No worries, jessiee. MY father is a fairly prominent writer & book editor (in his wee little field of study), but I very very rarely feel the need to lecture people. I even *gasp* make the occasional error.

  45. daisy424 says:

@ jessiee; Am I reading the same thread as you?
Yes, I agree, Kimmy needs to have the stick removed from her ass. But you attacked her first, telling her to shut the f up.
It is a bit petty to report her comment to CB unless she directly threatened you.
Sorry, but that’s the way I read it. πŸ˜‰

  46. jessiee says:

Hey, Bodhi…thanks for the support. I can’t help but say (and please hear the laughter in my words, because I am laughing out loud) …

My father’s a dentist, so I suppose that means I can drill on your teeth? He DID raise me and all.

    πŸ˜‰

    LOLOL

really the final word NOW, I swear…

  47. Bodhi says:

    πŸ˜†

  48. jessiee says:

Ok, clearly not the last. Sheesh.

daisy424 — I absolutely started it with Kimmy, no question. My complaint was not about the fact that she was attacking me — I was incensed that she attacked the NEW blogwriter in such an outrageous and blatant fashion, and that’s why I complained to C|B. The new writer (CNH??) probably had no idea what hit her/him and I actually felt SORRY for her/him. I couldn’t believe anyone would be so nasty in public — perhaps it was the mama bear in me coming out.

I’m sorry I started all this. Now I’m just embarrassed. Free dental work for you all. I’ll do it myself. πŸ˜‰

  49. geronimo says:

@jessiee – I understood you perfectly, I am a she, and kudos for your post at 2:45 (although I think you did a fine job earlier identifying what also offended me about the tone. Bottom line, I found Kimmy’s posts just as rude as other people may have found yours (or mine, for that matter). BUT, I’m going to shut up now too!) 8)

  50. daisy424 says:

jessiee; You shouldn’t be embarrassed, you’re entitled to your opinion πŸ˜‰

  51. Nan says:

Hey, we are all part of an order now? What shall we call ourselves? Celebitchtards? Celebitchies? Someone please design a crest for us. Can we get T-shirts made?

  52. Kaiser says:

Wow, wasn’t going to post on this one because I thought it would be a useless Rosie-Hatefest. Didn’t know it would turn into an ugly English seminar.

    Yeah. Team JessieE!

  53. jessiee says:

Y’all be crackin’ me up. πŸ˜‰

    (grammar errors intended.)

–jessiee The Dentist (because apparently all it takes is having a relative in a profession to be one yourself)

  54. Great Scott says:

THIS WILL BE THE HIGHEST RATED VARIETY SHOW!!!!! WAIT AND SEE;)

  55. tisme says:

Hope Vegas will do the odds on when O’Donnell will suffer her *19th* nervous breakdown live on the new NBC show.
Every show she has been a part of, she has succeeded in entertaining us all with her lack of education, intelligence and mental stability. It is akin to watching a train wreck. The show will be a ratings smash for NBC until O’Donnell crashes and burns yet again.

  56. Kim&M says:

This is GREAT news! Welcome back, Ro! πŸ˜€

  57. David Archuletta says:

This show will fail just like Rosie’s self-funded adoption agency,”Children of the World, Verona, New Jersey”. Its magic act made newborn babies disappear. That is, until they failed to go before a judge to try and appeal their license revocation. Good riddance, and kudos NBC, for signing her.

  58. Mr. Dale says:

Oh.. I had to watch it! And Rosie if you are reading this…. STOP SHOVING THE GAY down everyone’s throats. I am a proud gay man… YOU have no class, the show was choppy, too much talent at once and you should be more like an Ed Sullivan and let the people “with” talent sing, dance and perform.

PS.. Liza.. wow honey it is a shame you have fallen so low. You should give up singing and let Lorna take it from here. Now she has a voice!

  59. Thank you for any other informative web site. Where else may I get that kind of information written in such an ideal approach? I have a challenge that I am simply now running on, and I have been at the look out for such info.
