  1. Nan says:

Allergic to alcohol. This is not really her personality. Not everyone can be a happy drunk.

  2. daisy424 says:

Dear Lord, she looks ripe. Maybe the term should be ‘black hole’, JayBird, it’s infinite. 😯

  3. CelebitchyFAN says:

I don’t know if you saw the video of this incident but it wasn’t like the lady touched her and Amy went pscho. Amy was walking by and the lady grabbed her arm and pulled her back and Amy looked at her for a while and the lady wasn’t letting go so Amy smacked her one. I’m not saying that what she did was right, but you can’t go around just grabbing people by the arm and holding on for dear life to talk to them. I probably would have done the same thing and I am in nowhere near the condition that Amy is in.

  4. Jenna says:

Amy is amazing when she sings. Maybe someone tried to take away her pipe or her alcohol so she punches them out. Makes sense to me.

  5. xiaoecho says:

I can’t say I blame her. If some strange woman clutched at me in the street, simpering about my health and wanting to help me, I’d tell her to fukc off too!

Anyway, she’s all scrubbed up again today. even her hands are clean

  6. Lauri says:

Okay, I’m no fan, but if some stranger grabbed me and started telling me I was living my life wrong, I’d be tempted to smack them, as well.

This doesn’t mitigate any of the awful things Wino has been doing to herself, but I’ll give her a pass on this one.

  7. Blonde Ambition says:

daaaaaaamn that woman is messed up.

  8. Susan says:

Addiction is not pretty. She’s in HUGE denial and the lady probably told her to get some help. She doesn’t want to hear it….

  9. Kay says:

Coming from a smoker, when people would make smart ass remarks such as “thats going to kill you” I would politely respond with 💡 “I’m hoping.” or “OH MY GOD! WHY DIDN’T ANY ONE EVER TELL ME THIS!?” And walk away. If I had the money and the legal power I might have smacked them, or at least kicked there shin. I also live in Miami and we have this thing down here where if you grab my arm and try to talk to me like I know you, I might knock you out. Some people might even got shot over that. 😯

True Wino is crazy, and possibly drunk at the time, but that doesn’t mean some complete stranger should try to grab on her and talk to her like a 3 year old.

  10. Kaiser says:

Put a fork in her, she’s done. “Slap” the cuffs on her. Show’s over folks.

  11. kate says:

WTF? has amy been smearing shit over her hands? that is nas-tay! but yeah, i would’ve smacked that lady if she had grabbed me and wouldn’t let go.

  12. susan says:

she doesn’t look quite so emaciated, and the “coke bugs” lesions seem better. maybe she’s been laying off the crack pipe and (only) drinking heavily.

  13. Codzilla says:

Susan: Coke bugs! That’s awesome. I’m going to find a way to use this phrase at least three times a day from now on.

  14. Orangejulius says:

Aaaargh. I’ve been walking around for 3 days singing “Will you still love me tomorrow” after hearing her sing it. Best version I’ve ever heard.

Sounds like drunken, aggressive behaviour to me, but come on, folks, in this day and age you don’t touch strangers (including celebrities whom people think they KNOW) on the street.

  15. enchantress says:

Thankfully there are no extreme close-ups of Wino’s face – saw one elsewhere recently in which she looks like she has ringworm on her chin. 😯

But in her defense, no one likes getting grabbed by a total stranger, well-intentioned or not. Still love Amy Winehouse’s music, even as she continues to circle the drain.

  16. california angel says:

Legally, the fan was in the wrong. Touching someone without their permission and in a threatening matter (as perceived by the victim)is actually battery and is also means for Amy to go ahead and smack the lady if she wants in defense. I could explain to you how I know this, but it involves assault by chicken and i’ve partially repressed the incident since then. 😐

  17. Crux the Magic Dragon says:

Normally, I’d blast Winehouse out of the water for smacking folks, but, this time, the lady asked for it. I too, saw the video, I mean, doesn’t the silly broad read the papers???? Everyone knows Winehouse is the Queen of Crazy!

Think about it, she’s been on lockdown for about 2 weeks. She’s the Tasmanian Devil, no drugs, only booze. I think the drugs calm whatever ails the brain.

Why the hell is she licking her hands? (8th photo) That’s about the 5th photo she’s doing that it. So dang nasty!

  18. All Adither says:

I wouldn’t touch her with a telephone pole.

  19. Whitey Fisk says:

Did anyone ever watch Strangers With Candy? Her facial expressions have always reminded me of Jerri’s grandfather. Her face never shifts into neutral.

I would like to know what brand her ballet slippers are, because our troops should start wearing those instead of combat boots. Do you realize how much those suckers have been through? I thought she was going to hang ’em up after the bloody brawl with Blake last year, but they’re still going strong.

  20. Aud says:

If this were anyone but her (and maybe Courtney Love) I’d be on her side on this. But this woman is just beyond trainwreck.

She’s on my rotten.com dead pool for a reason!

  21. Alecto says:

Who is the mother of Amy’s godchild? Cause I’m wondering who in their right mind would let their young impressionalble duaghter walk around town with the Crackie of Camden. Oh and all that brown poop on her hands…I think it’s self tanner. She’s…gulp…trying to look like she’s got a “healthy” tan. Lol.

  22. czarina says:

While the fan was absolutely in the wrong, I wonder doesn’t Amy have bodyguards? Does she just walk through the streets on her own with the paps trailing around her?
Mess, downward spiral or not, one of the reasons celebs have a bodyguard or entourage is to help extracate them from situations just like this; overzealous fans who want to touch when they shouldn’t.
Maybe (along with rehab and therapy) she could use a bodyguard?

  23. Snowblood says:

@ Czarina — ” I wonder doesn’t Amy have bodyguards?” Yeah, she’s got bodyguards galore, but no one can reign in the Winehouse. Her bodyguards are apparantly all kinds of sycophants and enablers and users, themselves, anyway, from what I’ve been noticing. Lotta good these motherfukkers do.

But, now if I were Amy, damn RIGHT I’d sock-a-bitch for randomly grabbing my arm and tryna tell me how to run my life! Good lord, how I hate pushy do-gooders like that. Save your up-righteous worry, lady, and I mean SAVE it or bitch I’ll remind you why you should have!

If she wants to live out her life as an intensely messed-up junkie artist, let her! Christ, it’s Amy Winehouse’s life, not ours.

  24. Shannon says:

Amy’s antics are losing their luster. There are more train wrecks in the world.

  25. Snowblood says:

There may be more train wrecks in the world, but currently, none can even dream of comparing to the phenomenal music-talent raging-wreck not-caring-what-anyone-on planet-Earth-thinks Amy freakin’ Winehouse.

This awesome bitch wrote the brand new edition of the Book of Trainwreckdom. She’s the Merriam-Webster of Willful Public Ruination, and I love her for it all. I hope she keeps herself a-fukkin’-live, but regardless, I love her for it all.

  26. jaundicemachine says:

As much as I’d like to headlock the bitch (Amy) and tell her what-for, I know I’m not within my legal right to do so. There’s a difference between helping and “helping” and as the video clearly shows, that older lady was “helping” a bit too much. Her presence was neither requested nor desired, and if a firm slap in the face doesn’t put her in her place, I don’t know what will.

Not that WIno doesn’t need a firm slap, herself. At least she is targeting people who are actually in the wrong, rather than lashing out for some fictitious grievance.

Then again, if you strike at X amount of fans, you’re bound to hit someone who truly deserves it?

  27. Snowblood says:

@ JaundiceMachine – ” Then again, if you strike at X amount of fans, you’re bound to hit someone who truly deserves it? ”

Yes, isn’t that what they call the Law of Probability? Like, if I were in Amy Winehouse’s ballerina flats I’m probably gonna cold-cock your (that woman’s) face, too, if you come barging up like a self-righteous cow all grabbin’ my arm on the streets telling me how I ought to lead my life? The Law of Probability states there’s more of a chance – GAH!!

sorry, I just now got sidetracked by this beautiful, enormous dragonfly which came ’round to my patio all buzzingly confused just now. I forgot what I was saying. Probably ’cause I was entranced by that wild little beauty, I even held the dragonfly! Had to catch her carefully in my hands and switch off the patio lights so she could calm down and fly away.

  28. jaundicemachine says:

Right on, Snow. I’m not saying Wino wasn’t in the right. (I mean, who grabs a notorious crazy by her arm and starts lecturing her on which way the crow flies without expecting some kind of meltdown?! Bitch had it coming!) I’m just saying it’s one of the few times that she was in the right.

God help me, I love this bitch, I truly do – but one day she’s going to slap the wrong mother trucker, ya know? And while I think she needs to feel the cold, hard, concrete beneath her jaw before she learns some sense, I don’t want Wino to have to encounter violence before it’s all said and done. I think her little body would crack and splinter into a thousand crystal rocks the moment a fist drove at her with any kind of energy.

  29. Snowblood says:

Yes, yes I totally know what you’re saying, JM (may I call you that, for short? Is that O.K.?), Amy sure does look like she’d splinter up upon the slightest physical violence like a dry femur-bone being stepped upon by a stegosaur, she’s got major splinteritis showing. I bet that’s how she feels, too, to herself, like when she tries to curl up at night and go to sleep on the off night she’s half-not-high/half sober, and she feels like she’s crinkling and splintering from inside. That’s an awful, awful feeling. It feels like a prelude to premature death. Ah – I mean, I iMAGine it must feel that way. To her. anyway, not to get too shary-shary again around here as is my wont and habit…

She’ll either snap out of it, or not. There’s no chillin’at-the-cool-kids’-rehab for this kind of Winehousian problem, it’s either she’ll stop it, like I did, or she won’t, like dead people haven’t. 🙁 Hopefully it’ll be option number 1. ‘Cause death’s not even an option.

  30. Truck Drivin' Passerby says:

Oh yeah, Winehouse looks like such a rock star at her recent concert: http://www.contactmusic.com/pictures/amy_winehouse/1-1

  31. daisy424 says:

Mind if I step in? Snowy, I love the way you describe things. I could almost picture the dragonfly, we were just on our deck and saw some fireflies flittering around. Antares is in the southern sky, it’s a full moon tonight, gorgeous.
You do have a gift. 😉
    Later

  32. milkandkisses says:

xiaoecho I agree 100%. Id lash out physically and verbally if someone on the street grabbed me too.

However I do find it terrible that her substance abuse problem has completely overshadowed any work she has done as an artist.

  33. Orangejulius says:

Snowy – don’t worry about getting too shary-shary. You describe it very well. Ah, I mean I IMAGine what it must feel like…..And, you do have a gift. Now, don’t let these compliments go to your head and start dazzling us with your brilliance instead of your funny comments!

  34. paris herpes says:

She probably is allergic to alcohol and all the other substances she takes. Because she can’t handle it, she becomes extremely unbalanced. She needs to go to rehab, she’s in complete denial. You can’t do drugs forever, sooner or later it catches up with you and before you know you’re dead @ 27.

  35. jaundicemachine says:

You may certainly call me JM, Snowy (that is, if I may call you Snowy – or Snow, whichever is preferred). It’s generally what I’m known as on the other forums I frequent, but I’ll admit I do a double take whenever I see those specific initials on this site. (Celebrities with the initials JM tend to garner negative commentary, from what I have observed.)

And I do believe you’re right on with your observation of Miss Winehouse. Addicts are rarely addicts just for sport, there’s generally an underlying psychological upset that upgrades their addiction to what we in the business call a “duel diagnosis” – meaning they self-medicate to quell some substantive affective or psychotic disorder.

No doubt this poor girl is troubled – one only needs to glimpse at her arms to know that she wrestles with demons daily. And while my heart goes out to her, it’s difficult (painful, even) to watch her acquiesce to the lifestyle of a junkie. Perhaps I see a little of myself in her, or too much of loved ones past, but my understanding and appreciation of her inner torment cannot silence the inner snark that wants slap the cocaine-filled snot out of her. So I split the difference and make light of what I know to be a very, very dark situation for Winehouse.

  36. Diamond says:

I TOTALLY agree with you, jaundicemac! 😀 It just really makes me so angry when people undermine Amy’s problems and insult her as if she’s some kind of drunken, angry moron. 👿 She’s not! She’s obviously just very deeply troubled, and instead of badmouthing her and scolding her like she’s an unhousebroken puppy, the world needs to HELP HER. I’m sure her increasingly disturbed behavior is just a total chain reaction, spawned from media mockery and such, and if people would just lay off her, she might get better. 😥

  37. daisy424 says:

Folks, she’s a junkie, doesn’t want the help she has been offered.

She will either hit rock bottom (almost there) or die. She has everything to live for and it means nothing to her.

The only thing she cares about, (yeah, i know, besides Blaaaaaake) is her next fix, nothing else.

  38. Snowblood says:

Daisy and OrangeJulius, you two literally made my day when I read what you said to me here, this morning.

I do love to write, and I have been struggling SO damn hard and for so long lately with writer’s block. During these down times I really lose all, and I mean ALL faith in whatever ability I might have, because I don’t put myself out there, you know? I get no real feedback, none at all, but feedback – both positive and negative – from real people like you all here means more to me and is more valuable than anything biased or guarded anyone here in my daily life could say to me. You guys ROCK!!!! Thank you so very much.

  39. vdantev says:

I’m amazed she’s lasted this long. Music is born of genuine pain and she embodies that about 250%.

  40. Pick Me says:

i wish she would come to New York and try that.
