Helen Mirren may be crazy (don’t ask her about her thoughts on rape), but she still gets a lot of love from women who hope to age as beautifully as she has. Remember the infamous bikini photos? Yeah, I wouldn’t mind looking like that right now. I’ve always thought that Helen was all-natural, un-Botoxed, without fillers, with no nips or tucks. I hope I’m right. Last year, Helen came out in defense of actresses who get plastic surgery, saying “You go, ‘I don’t want to look at that face anymore,’ and I understand that, absolutely… I think people should be allowed to do whatever they want to make themselves feel happy.” Well, Dame Helen is adding some nuance to that opinion. She hates it when “young people” get plastic surgery:
She may not be against plastic surgery in general, but that doesn’t mean Dame Helen Mirren is okay with just anyone engaging in a little nip-tuck action.
The 66-year-old Oscar winning actress, who has openly supported plastic surgery in the past but has never gone under the knife herself, recently revealed that she doesn’t approve of young people altering their bodies.
“The only thing I don’t like on young people is plastic surgery,” the Academy Award winning actress admits in the September issue of InStyle Magazine, when asked about fashion advice for younger women.
“The purity of youthful beauty is so fantastic to me that it’s horrific when young girls get fake things.”

I understand what Helen is saying, and one look at Megan Fox or Kim Kardashian’s cat-face just proves to me that some younger ladies are getting worked over, and it’s completely unnecessary. Mostly, I just agree with Helen because I don’t think she’s made of lies and drowning in phony sanctimony, like that ‘Toxed and tweaked a–hole Kate Winslet.

At least Vanessa Williams, Aniston and Courtney Cox have all admitted they did the botox. They don’t go on this whole, “I would NEVER….” schtick. I mean Kate has gone even further than that with her All Natural Justice League or whatever the heck this thing is called. We need to give it a good name. Kaiser, I defer to you. Make us proud.

About Winslet: I don’t think she’s had botox. Some creams can give a “tightened face” aspect momentaneously, plus a good makeup work can do wonders to one’s appearance (just like the opposite can be a disaster).
I firmly believe she’s had at least one nose job. Yes, she has lost weight over the years and her face is not so round anymore so that probably affected her nose’s shape as well…but its bridge is definitely thinner and straighter and only a nose job can do that.
LOVE. HER. And she’s totally right – just look at all the walking cosmetic surgery “victims” zombie-walking through H-Weird.
And Kate Winslet officially needs to SHUT UP. I’m beyond over her now.

@that’s interesting from what I recall Aniston said something like ‘I haven’t tried it yet’ Cox said something like ‘I tried it and didn’t like it’ Bitch please…Last year Ted Casablanca(who lives up Huvi’s bum) did a whole write up about how they were two of the only women aging naturally in Hollywood I almost fell out of my seat. Wouldn’t it be better to say no comment!!!

there’s nothing wrong on tweeking something you’re not happy with, however, when it becomes an obsesssion, it looks ridiculous. If you’re in “the industry” you have the means to do just about anything, no doubt, Helen has done some tweeking, but she looks fabulous.

Those Kartrashians need to take a hint from Dame Helen on how to wear animal print and still look classy. That leopard dress and leather jacket combo is one of my favourite looks of hers.

@min76 I believe Aniston said she tried it and it made her forehead feel heavy, but that she was open to trying things and doesn’t judge anyone else. Cox has openly admitted it too if I recall. Vanessa Williams thinks everyone should do it and she wouldn’t live without it.
Like I said in my previous comment all three women have admitted trying it while other stars start an anti-plastic surgery justice league after they’ve had nose jobs.

She is absolutely right. I have nothing against cosmetic surgery but no person should even consider cosmetic surgery if under 30. Look at Kim K and other young girls who have completely messed up their faces because to young to have the work they are having done. These girls at 30 are going to look like hell BECAUSE of the surgeries they have had not vice versa.
I don’t believe Winslet has had any work done either. She’s probably just using tape like all the older actresses used to use. You can alter your appearance dramatically for a photo. Just take a picture of your face when lying on a flat surface.
Uh, folks, Helen, who I adore, has obviously had her neck done. Minor, but very youth giving. She looks fabulous and has a naturally wasp waisted figure. But, as Helen has lamented, has cankles.
