Yesterday, we had some photos of Jennifer Lopez shooting her new music video for “Papi” in LA. Jennifer wore what I thought was an unfortunate and dated outfit of wide-leg pleated shorts and a belly-baring blouse. I claimed that the shorts were culottes, and a lot of you yelled at me and said that I was a horrible, stupid person for identifying them as culottes. Guess what? They are still culottes, according to me and Google. Anyway, these are even more photos of Jennifer’s video shoot. This time, Jennifer chose to wear leather pants from Balmain. I eagerly await all of the know-it-alls quick comments about how they’re not really pants and how dumb I am for saying that they’re pants. I’m not even going to call them Capris – to me, they’re just skinny, leather pants that don’t fit properly. I could do without all of the silver bling around the crotch too. Why must Jennifer consistently wear such yeast infection-y ensembles?
In between setups, Jennifer played with her three-and-a-half-year-old daughter Emme. I don’t see Max around! Maybe he doesn’t like leather. Or video shoots. Even though I think both twins take after their father in looks, I have high hopes for Emme. Look at her face and how perfectly she can mimic Jennifer’s diva expressions! So cute. Be nice, y’all.
By the way, people are already making a big deal about the Scientology comparison between J.Lo/Marc’s split and Will & Jada’s alleged split. Both couple publicly flirted with and out-right supported the Church of Scientology in years passed, and it would be interesting if Xenu was one of the reasons Will and Jada bit the dust (allegedly).

Not to be bitchy, but girlfriend has a set of thighs that should be clothed accordingly. Nice thighs, but not for skin-tight leather. And the top is too short. Oi, her style is so dated. She needs a stylist.
errrr…..I kinda like the “pants.” I do. They’re video diva pants, I guess (and would definitely look better with some badass diva shoes…….).
I can’t help liking this chick. She uses diva to her financial advantage. No one can tell her NO, she gets what she wants…..dunno, she’s pretty and dresses in ill-fitting clothes and has cute kids…major points since losing the walking dead husband, too.

I don’t like them on her either. Maybe its just the angle of the camera taking the pics, I don’t know. She is too thick in the thighs for something like this. Not fat at all but she’s got strong, muscular thighs that don’t look good in something like this.
This is my first comment here and it is about J.Lo’s leather pants. I swear that is purely coincidental.
J.Lo has an amzing body but leather pants are hard for ANYBODY to have a good fit in, especially around the crotch area. You need them tight enough that you don’t get that “v” where they bunch up around/between the thighs by the crotch but you also need to not have them so tight that they give the dreaded c-toe. J.Lo got the v, but at least not the c.
Balmain is epically expensive so god knows how much they retail for. Hopefully J.Lo got these for free.

I also lived thru the cullotte days, child of the 70s and 80s, and to me they are similar to ‘gauchos’, and do fall to the knee. google has been known to be wrong; i didnt look at the link above, nor did i see the pics of J lo’s to determine.
but yea, culottes are longer, and not to be confused with skort in my book. to each his own definition, i suppose.

Either the pants are waaaaay to tight or that bunching around the thighs is supposed to look like that. I like JLo; yeah she’s a total diva and not a very good singer, but I have a total soft spot for her for some reason.
And as for little Emme – I think she has great eyes and interesting features. I think she may surprise us one day. 🙂

When I was in the second grade, I wore culottes to school. In New York. It was the 1960s, and I actually got sent home to change because girls weren’t allowed to wear pants! Culottes are a skirt in front, shorts in the back. It doesn’t matter how long or short they are. Jlo was NOT wearing culottes.
OK, if you have outsized hips, would you wear arrows that pointed from your crotch to your saddlebags? Because that is exactly what those pants do for her.
