A lot of you used to yell at me when I referred to Jessica Simpson’s lover/boyfriend/baby-daddy/fiancé as her “K-Fed”. Eric was a professional football player, and now that he’s retired, his main job seems to be “taking Jessica out to eat” and “having sex with Jessica Simpson”. He plays a lot of golf too. And there were a lot of rumors that Jessica put Eric on her business payroll, so he gets a check for “advising” her on various things too. So… it’s all pretty sketchy, although I will admit that Eric has always seemed like a half-way decent guy, and he seems to love being a dad to baby Maxwell. But Star Magazine is trying to start some sh-t! Star/Radar claims Eric might have still been sexually involved with his ex-wife when he started up with Jessica:
New mom Jessica Simpson will no doubt be praying for a happy ending when she finally heads to the altar with fiance Eric Johnson, as the new issue of Star magazine lifts the lid on his alleged past indiscretions with none other than his ex-wife!
The Dukes Of Hazard star may have thought that her future husband’s marriage to Keri Johnson was well and truly over by the time she started dating him, but sources exclusively tell Star that the former NFL player was actually sleeping with both of them at the same time.
The news shouldn’t come as any surprise to Simpson, who knew that Johnson was still married to the freelance stylist when the pair first met at a mutual friend’s house in Los Angeles, where he had even brought Keri along as his date!
The couple was already having problems, but it wasn’t until later when they officially decided to take a break, “hoping it would ultimately make their marriage stronger,” according to one of Keri’s confidantes.
Meanwhile, Eric jumped headfirst into his relationship with the sexy singer, which sparked outrage with his ex-wife’s friends.
“He’s a two-timing cheat!” alleges one pal. “He was still having sex with Keri after he started seeing Jessica. She needs to think twice before marrying him. He’s already cheated on her once — he’ll most likely do it again.”
Meanwhile, it doesn’t look like Eric and Jessica, who recently welcomed their first child, daughter Maxwell, will be tying the knot anytime soon, and the bride-to-be even told Katie Couric that they haven’t set a date yet.
“It won’t be this year,” she told the talk show host. “I really want to do a big, fun wedding with my friends and family.”

Is it just me or is this really old news? Those of us who were paying attention when Jessica first got with Eric already knew that he had some sketchiness with his ex-wife. Like, they were trying to reconcile and then he met Jessica and the reconciliation was OVER. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if there was overlap in those first few months, and for that… well, all of them are sketchballs. But it’s not like this “cheating scandal” involves Eric currently cheating on his baby-mama. Right?!?

I agree, the Sears in my hometown has great clothes for kids. Much cuter than what I find at Target and often way on sale! Not so much for me, however.

^THIS is what I was thinking. And when these 2 started up didn’t they attempt to keep it on the DL for sketchy reasons. This doesn’t surprise me and it wouldn’t surprise me if Jessica is aware that she was cheating with him when she snatched him out of reconciliation.
Agreed that Maxi is cute- looks like Jess to me but Eric isn’t horrible looking. He looks better than K-Fed.

I think he’s cute…only because he kind of looks like a guy I used to date.
As for their relationship, Jess better be careful. My mom always said you end up like you start out, and if Jess was knowingly helping this guy cheat on his wife, things may not work out for her. Honestly, part of me doesn’t think they’ll make it down the aisle.

The way she keeps pushing off the wedding is not a good sign, IMO. She strikes me as fairly traditional, so it’s surprising to me that they didn’t get married before the baby was born anyway.
This doesn’t sound like he cheated on her, but it doesn’t paint him in a very good light.
He’s a total K-Fed, don’t know why anyone would yell about that. I only think Natalie Portman’s husband shouldn’t get labeled with that, as he actually does have a career of his own.

i’ve ALWAYS gotten the impression (cheating rumors aside) that he always got on jessica’s nerves. honestly, if i was as rich and successful as her, i’d want an EQUAL, not some lazy ex football player who doesn’t feel the need for a job or a career. i mean not only that, but he seems to have a very meager personality and is not even that good looking/in shape. it speaks volumes how she keeps dancing around wedding talk in interviews and seems to want to put it off indefinitely.
she can do so much better. i think once she gets fit again, she’ll realize that her baby can still have 2 parents, even if they’re not together anymore. right now she’s overweight, probably feeling crappy about herself and feeling STUCK with the father of her child.

Oh who really cares what this guy does? Do you really think that she and her managers (parents) don’t already know what this guy does every minute of every day? Because I would bet they do. Jess cheated on Nick so if she gets cheated on now it is called karma. There is no way this guy is going anywhere. He knows where his bread is buttered. Whoa whoa whoa who cheated.. on who.. better back up it wasn’t Jess.. the reason Nick only got 12 million & not half was the deal was the divorce would be private & sealed otherwise he would get half & details would be released as to what really went down. Gossip cop has now confirmed that legal action is being taken by ERIC & Jessica both against Star. That is refreshing that both are together doing this. Gossip cop is a much better source then ROB as he has his own agenda.
Truth be known ERIC comes from a mother that works at a very prestigous law firm & he has several lawyers in his family. Also Jessica has immediate laywers in her immediate family in uncles. Its about time they rattled a few things.. enough is enough & were talking a new born baby & her parents being libeled here. Good for them
