I’m not sure why I torture myself reading comments on this “couple”. I use quotes because I dont think they were ever dating and I’m certain this reunion is just showmance.
But I also find it incredibly misogynistic for people (read women) to put Kristen through a meat-grinder that the dozens of male cheaters we know off dont get. In any case I have never seen a guy subjected to such intense vitriol for so long over one single cheating incident. Nor have I ever seen a woman receive as much compassion as Sparkles is getting. So wrong on too many levels. I’m not defending infidelity, just saying that this response is disproportionate to the offence.
Of course its no surprise that women are the worst culprits. Women have self-hate down to a science afterall. And I repeat: I’m not defending infidelity, just that this responses of this degree are unwarranted.

Very good points you raise. Many people have noticed this strange phenomenon. I think the negative views you mention are just the loudest; the others usually do more SMH and don’t feel like entering the ridiculous mob mentality long enough to make comments about it. Silly isn’t it.

I honestly don’t care that she cheated. She is a kid, under massive amounts of pressure, I cannot even begin to pretend that I understand what it’s like in her shoes. It’s wrong, but it was a mistake, whatever.
What I and I believe most people have a problem with is her big PR push afterwards, wearing his clothes, having her people say how she was surviving on ice cream, broadcasting their every step towards reconciliation, etc. it was just really a time that she should have laid low and handled her business.
Those were exactly my thoughts when I read the cruel comments towards this girl. What about the guy, who is old enough to be her father?
I find it so sad to realize that so many women are still so cruel and unfair towards each other. Society is still unfair towards women, and what women tend to do? They feed that unfairness instead of making use of female complicity. Sad…
She has the mentality of a 12 year old and is incapable of participating in a monogamous adult relationship. When she is away for work or whatever Robert will lay there at night wondering. It will eat him alive. He needs to move on.

She’s not the girl he put up on that pedestal four years ago. He’ll see what the rest of the world has been seeing about her eventually. A clean break isn’t always how it goes, but I think he will break from her eventually. It will be easier when he’s not professionally obligated to see her all the time.
I think that is why he urged her to buy her own house so if they are no longer together, they don’t have to move again. They can have sleep overs when the mood hits.

A reason more to believe that everything about these two as a couple is a PR stunt (and always have been?). Apparently they needed to be seen and apparently they needed to make some body contact visible.
This is what I do not get. Showmance ideas aside, on the one night they could be as anonymous as they want, and hide themselves to be free as a “normal” couple they get sh***y plastic masks and get papped? I mean, really? If that doesn’t scream obvious, I don’t know what does.

No doubt I’m in the minority, but I believe Rob and Kristen have legitimately reconciled. They’re young and stupid. They’ll jump back in to bed together to ease the heartache. They’ll comfort each other after the insanity of this past summer. Once the dust settles reality will rear its pesky little head and they’ll probably part for good.

Personally, I think the whole relationship and breakup was a publicity thing. Once the Twilight movies are over, they will be too.
My whole take is that KPatz is a great PR stunt-like Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana. Once their repective films are released on DVD, there will be an annoucement saying that all of these couples have split.
I am starting to believe this is all a PR stunt as well. Though, I can’t figure out why they would involve a married man with kids in the stunt. Who would do that? Notice Liberty has taken her husband back too and those pics of KStew with the director she looked emotionless like she wasn’t hot for him. Then again that is the same look she has in every film so maybe she is just a bad lover too. Also an interview the director did regarding Kristen and the movie he sounded obssessed with her talking on about a cut she received very very low on her pelvis. Weird if nothing else.

Geez, I hate to disagree with what someone said above, but my negative feelings towards KS do not stem from her cheating, but from the way I have observed her, particularly in personal appearances, giving the finger on several occasions at public events, and sounding, you know, rather spoiled and definitely very immature. She has a lot of growing up to do, but while I see her in this light, I end up respecting other young actresses much more because they do not give the finger and while they are the same age or young than KS, they are infinitely more talented, act appropriately and appear to be more appreciative of their spot in the celebrity world.
