Lindsay Lohan’s latest exploit is a career-ender. But not her career, which is something different. According to Page Six, Lindsay Lohan might be signing on as a “creative consultant” to the House of Emanuel Ungaro. Ungaro’s head designer, Esteban Cortazar, is threatening to quit if Lohan’s hired, though. Cortazar and other people think Lohan would be “the nail in the coffin” for Ungaro as a fashion house, but Ungaro’s owner Asim Abdullah really wants Lohan. Something about her spray tans and leggings screaming “high fashion”, perchance?
AS if it wasn’t bad enough that Lindsay Lohan ruined her own career, she’s now interfering in the careers of others.
Lohan is in Paris, according to multiple sources, talking to the House of Emanuel Ungaro about signing on as a “creative consultant” for the fashion line. But the current head designer of Ungaro, Esteban Cortazar, is not greeting the rehabbed starlet with open arms.
“Esteban is threatening to leave the company if they bring Lindsay on as a consultant,” said a fashion insider. “It has been a revolving door of designers there and if he leaves, his team will go with him.”
Ungaro owner Asim Abdullah signed Colombian-born Cortazar in 2007 at the age of 23. The young designer put his own line — which he’d launched in 2002 — on hold to join the troubled Ungaro house, and received warm reviews for the first Ungaro runway collection he debuted in March of last year.
Meanwhile Lohan, between a series of box-office bombs and highly publicized romances, has dabbled in fashion by designing a line of leggings and launching her own spray tan.
According to our source, “Ungaro thinks Lindsay is going to bring the company new energy and new buzz, but she is going to be the nail in the coffin. Nobody will take them seriously ever again.”A rep for the House of Ungaro did not return our calls or e-mails. A lawyer for Cortazar had “no comment.”
Meanwhile, Lohan has more big plans while she’s in Europe. Our tipsters tell us the addled actress is planning a stop off in London to meet up with ex-lover Samantha Ronson. “Sam and Lindsay are sort of back together,” said our snitch. “She has been living at Sam’s house in LA.”
A lawyer for Lohan didn’t return calls or e-mails, and Ronson said, “No comment.”

I believe that Lindsay and Samantha probably are back together, sort of. There’s still months of drama to be had with those two, so let’s not rush it. As for the Ungaro situation - well, I can think of literally dozens of other young actresses who would be much better at “creative consulting” for a fashion house. I refuse to believe that Lohan is some kind of fashion icon, or even just plain fashionable. That being said, it’s sort of interesting that Lohan might have gotten another job. Good work, Lohan!

hey Jaclyn Smith shows up for work, shows up for promo’s and stands behind her line not snorts it. Plus she has more class than your average KMart customer. The same cannot be said for LL.
..
Sucks for the designer because it sounds like the owner has no loyalty to the guy running his lines. If it does happen he’ll (designer) get more name recognition, then bigger and better. He’ll come out on the top side of the debate -
Lem, you’re absolutely right.

Agree. Lindsay is a lost soul who is exploited by her parents. I hope she will not screw up this chance if she has been offered a movie role.

I’m no Lindsay Lohan fan, but I broke down and tried her tanning spray. I have to admit….it is a very good product! There’s one thing she did right…???

Are you kidding me?
Her style is whoever she happens to be with…Lohan has no inate style.
I’d be pissed too. *snickering* creative consultant

Why do people keep hiring her??? What is her talent? She wears labels so suddenly a fashion expert! The designer should quit.
Lohan will keep messing up if she continues to get loads of money thrown at her w/o having any talent to work for it! Wastage

Style consultant? That bitch has style? I don’t know a single person who would wear anything based on her “style”

The designer is right. She was just the spokesmodel for Fornarina which according to several reports is Europe’s answer to Wet Seal. It’d be like Marc Jacobs stealing Jaclyn Smith from Kmart.
