Matthew McConaughey was inducted into the Texas Hall of Fame at a ceremony presented by the Austin Film Society on Friday. Other Texas natives honored included Kris Kristofferson, JoBeth Williams, Lyle Lovett, and Cybil Shepherd.

McConaughy’s film Failure to Launch also opened on Friday. The film has been panned by most critics, although some say that good comedic acting and a talented support cast make it worthwhile.
