James Middleton’s Boomf was making Nazi products when requested

2018 GQ Men of the Year Awards - Arrivals

Well, this is something. The Daily Mail got the tip from a “whistleblower” at Boomf, James Middleton’s sad marshmallow company. In previous months, I’ve wrongly said that I believed Boomf had been quietly folded, but no – it’s still a business and it’s still losing money hand over fist. James talked about how his learning disabilities, ADD and clinical depression all affected his attempts to run Boomf. He doesn’t even seem to be running Boomf full time – he got a job as a tour guide at his brother-in-law’s Scottish estate last fall, and he seems to spend much of his time in Scotland now. My point is that while Boomf is James’ company, he clearly hasn’t had much to do with the day-to-day operations of his failing business for months. So how much of this is on James? The Daily Mail says that Boomf has been making Nazi marshmallows. I CANNOT. (It’s a serious subject but now I’m laugh-crying about Nazi marshmallows.)

The company of Prince William’s brother-in-law is allowing Nazi propaganda and anti-Semitic hate mail to be peddled through it, MailOnline can reveal today. The Nazi hate mail is being printed on personalised gift boxes at a company owned by Kate Middleton’s younger brother, an investigation sparked by a former employee has revealed. The whistleblower revealed how James Middleton’s gift company Boomf – based in the Berkshire village of Ashampstead Common – shipped out a confetti-filled box with a swastika, even after it was pointed out that it could be a hate crime.

The whistleblower had worked at Boomf before she quit in disgust after seeing the gift box get sent out with the anti-Semitic image on it. She said that despite taking the offensive box off the production line to show to senior staff and claiming that sending it could be a hate crime, she was ignored when a manager passed the box back down to another worker and she watched it get sent out.

As part of an investigation, a news agency ordered a similar Boomf box featuring a swastika and other offensive imagery, which was received as requested last week. The Boomf box was designed to be obviously unacceptable to test whether Boomf responsibly cancelled orders, which the firm’s terms and conditions state it can do. But the company still produced the box, which includes the image of a swastika, concentration camp gates, Jewish graves and the neo-Nazi slogan ‘Blood and Soil’.

A Boomf spokesman told MailOnline: ‘This should not have happened. We are a small company processing over half a million images a week, but we are reviewing our policies and processes to make sure this cannot happen again.’

[From The Daily Mail]

*wipes tears away* Oh, so Boomf isn’t making Nazi Marshmallows after all. They’re making Nazi confetti and Nazi boxes and other terrible “gifts” for the crafting, twee Nazis out there. I mean, as soon as I saw a swastika, I would be out of there too. But good lord, Boomf is really doing the MOST for their Nazi clientele, huh? Anyway, most of the DM piece is the whistleblower telling her story, which is awful and it shows how poorly Boomf is run. Boomf is operated out of an ancient warehouse with no central heat, and the workers have to use space heaters and blankets most days. The whistleblower also has tons of shady sh-t to say about James Middleton:

‘The person that owns it is James Middleton. These are the in-laws of our future King. Of all people I think they should be more aware of what’s going in and out. Where we live, they do have quite a degree of stature around here, we know Carol Middleton from Party Pieces, you’d think they’d take that extra precaution of training their staff.’

James Middleton’s company recorded losses of £3million between 2015 and 2018. The whistleblower said he only came in once from his Chelsea address in London to visit the site of Boomf while she was there. She said: ‘James came in once. He literally breezed in, I only know him because I Googled him. You could see when he came in, he came in with his posh Land Rover and his Chelsea boots. Swanned around for about five minutes and then left and in the three weeks we were there only ever saw him for about ten minutes. When he walked in the door, the first thing I said was that’s gotta be James Middleton because he’s still got his silver spoon in his mouth. He had Louis Vuitton boots on and Armani jeans. The rest of us had 20 layers and woolly hats and thermal gloves on. He had a Ralph Lauren shirt and was all ‘look at me’, swinging his Range Rover keys about.’

[From The Daily Mail]

Well, that’s not on brand!!! Oh, the Middletons are going to absolutely lose their sh-t. The Nazi stuff is bad enough – although I’m sure it will be swept under the rug soon – but the characterization of James Middleton as a foolish, showy, privileged, haughty incompetent? Well, that’s not on-brand for the Middletons.

    What an absolute moron.

As a side note: what do we suppose nazi marshmallows go in? Hot chocolate? Aryan wedding smores? Grandma Betty’s marshmallow creme pie?

    • OriginalLala says:

      white hot chocolate?

    • Natalie S says:

Nazi marshmallows stay pure. They do not mix with anything.

    • Va Va Kaboom says:

In reality though, I wouldn’t be surprised if the people who ordered the Nazi gift boxes ( just typing that out has me smh) were trolling. Everyone knows exactly who owns Boomf.

      • Spicecake38 says:

        I didn’t think of this,but it’s a good theory

      • notasugarhere says:

An employee pulled one of the items, showed it to management, and the company still completed and shipped out the order. And were paid to do it. Even if this had been done by someone trolling the company, the company still chose to produce it and make money.

      • Va Va Kaboom says:

Oh, I agree the company is 100% responsible for this, they absolutely knew what they were selling. I just think it more likely that the people actually purchasing swastika and Nazi- themed marshmallows and gift bags were trolls… racist trolls for sure, but still trolls.

Then again, I’m not a Neo-Nazi and can’t really comment on what they’d find thematically appropriate for party favors. Maybe there really were people who simply decided they loved the idea of swastika marshmallows with no thought that a Middleton owner the company making them.

      • babco says:

The DM hacks were probably very sad they didn t think of it themselves

    • raincoaster says:

Reddit meetups. And Nazis. They go in Nazis.

  2. Nev says:

    Hahahahaha ridiculous.

  3. RBC says:

Can you imagine what managed to be shipped out before this whistleblower came forward? This story may get worse

    • Esmom says:

No kidding. So effed up. I feel like civilization is truly on the verge of compete collapse.

    • Redgrl says:

@rbc – good point. James Middleton is a useless fool. He needs a boot in the arse and to get a real job.

    • dota says:

It could have been the whistle-blower making the order just to have something to post on social media. But I guess people never commit fake hate crimes for publicity…

      • Colleen says:

True, and then sell the story. Half a million images a week though? That’s a lot for a “small business.”

      • notasugarhere says:

Given they’ve lost millions in a handful of years? The PR guy is exaggerating as the Middletons have done for years about how much money and business they have. Or he’s counting every single item printed as separate “images”. Print 10 copies of a business card, they count it as “10 images”.

  4. Veronica S. says:

Jesus H, can you imagine being that stupid and incompetent as a rule? How do you even get through life functioning one moment to the next without having to remind yourself to breathe?

  5. liriel says:

Well, I guess Kate isn’t so lucky when it comes to her family as we thought. Oh James, you could have such a simple privileged life. Pippa trying to make a name for herself was silly but not nazi.. Btw, it’s terrible how your family can screw you up.

    • Spicecake38 says:

Yeah,Meghan’s family are doing all they can to intentionally trash her,but looks like Kate’s family aren’t doing her any favors with this(not to mention thirsty behavior for years),I wonder how long before this is swept under the rug.To be clear, neither woman is responsible for their families bad behavior, but the optics here are just awful

    • Megan says:

Daily Fail also has a story on Uncle Gary yesterday, Maybe Meghan’s awful family isn’t getting the clicks anymore so they have to drag out Kate’s embarrassing relatives.

  6. Becks1 says:

I saw this last night and was hoping we would talk about it!

I just cant get over this. the fact that someone ordered these, they were made, and were sent out, even AFTER someone raised the issue and noted that it might be a problem – what on earth was the company thinking? That’s just bad overall, factor in that you are owned by the brother of the future queen and its even worse.

I am just kind of dumbfounded.

    • Digital Unicorn says:

We shouldn’t be – all his issues aside James has proven repeatedly he ain’t the brightest spark in the fire and has never really been interested in running a business beyond giving interviews to the Fail about it.

Cue some PR damage control by Carole in the form of a pap stroll with his new GF.

      • Becks1 says:

I hope he wears his Armani jeans and LV boots for the pap stroll!!

(seriously, its this article about his company making swastikas….and then there is this hilarious description of him included. Its like, you almost want to cry, and then you get to the part about swinging his range rover keys and you have to laugh.)

      • Mac says:

LV boots? I guess the Midds are still supporting him.

    • Clare says:

I’m a little surprised by the shock surrounding this (not the outrage though) – why are we surprised that British aristo adjacent poshos think Nazi imagery is ok? The ranks of Brit aristos are chock full of Nazi sympathizers, including the BRF. They may have renounced their beliefs and affiliations during/after the war, sure, but leopards don’t exactly change their spots.

On a personal level, and I have shared this before – my husband’s family are aristo adjacent (100% ARISTO if you ask my mum in law lol) and he went to the same public school as many of the royals we talk about, so I’ve been around these folks a lot. This kind of throwback to the ‘good times’ imagery and rhetoric is so disturbingly common to the point of being ‘normal’.

It was not that long ago that Harry wore a Nazi uniform as a ‘joke’, remember.

      • Becks1 says:

@Clare – I think what I am most surprised at is that even after it was raised as an issue, and a potential hate crime, there was still a collective shrug from the company and the items went out.

      • Clare says:

Meh. I’d assume the person this was escalated to was a nepotism hire, who either 1) is too stupid to know the imagery or 2) thinks its ok.

Disgusting but sadly no surprise here. Maybe my experience as a WOC has left me too jaded.

Either way, watch the gymnastics about to ensue – this wasn’t James’ fault! He lives in Scotland! He has a disability! He loves dogs! He doesn’t *actually* work there…

      • Mac says:

My guess is they company is so desperate for sales they will print anything because they need the money.

      • Milla says:

I am with Clare. They have been trying to erase the history but that’s not gonna happen.

I don’t know if James knew anything, heck i have no idea what the heck are nazi marshmallows. It is all very creepy, just close that company.

      • Spicecake38 says:

I’m with Mac,in that they are so desperate for money that they’d print anything on a marshmallow (never thought I’d write that sentence 😳).
I don’t know why they would think they would not be found out though, but I guess some people really are that dumb,or think they are above answering for this .Insulting!

      • Lorelei says:

@Clare I would love if you’d create a temporary burner account with a fake name and spill all of the info you have on all of these people 🙂

    • Elisa says:

Is it legal in the UK to make products like these? AFAIK it’s forbidden to brand stuff with swastikas in Germany and Austria, so…

  7. Natalie S says:

The Daily Mail giveth and the Daily Mail taketh away. Whatever arrangement the Middletons had that made them turn off the comments for James’ essay is clearly over.

I wonder if they wanted pictures from the Cambridges’ vacation. The Dail Mail is sleazy enough to sit on this story if it gets them access elsewhere.

James is in over his head. Carole probably makes all of this look easy but none of the Middleton kids have her work ethic and hustle. She needs to get all of this in hand.

  8. LizB says:

Why the surprise? Upper class and aristo English people have been N@zi sympathizers and racists for awhile now. Harry’s party costume did not happen in a vacuum. It’s about time the spotlight was put on their shrugging shoulders oh, haha N@zis! schtick.

    • leela says:

Except the Middletons are neither upper class nor aristo. I think @Clare above described them best – they’re adjacents. What you said is still very on point though.

  9. Lala11_7 says:

    LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I READ THIS WHOLE STORY…HOWLING IN LAUGHTER!!!!!!!!!

    You gotta laugh…if you don’t…

    You might NEVA stop crying…

    • Esmom says:

I know, right? I’m too numb to laugh at any headlines lately but this one made my eyes widen and I choked on my tea.

    • Himmiefan says:

And the DM thinks the real shame is that Meghan had a baby shower? Oh the demise of the royal family!

    • Ader says:

Thank god I wasn’t the only one. I saw the headline, and immediately started laughing my ass off. Cry-laughing. The “what next” type of laugh. And then I checked myself: would I be laughing if you replaced Nazi with KKK — and yep, still hysterical to me, who considers Angela Davis her spirit leader.

There’s just something about boomf, bigotry, and big-boy Jimmy that sparked a can’t-stop laughter fit.

And that was before I read the article, which makes it sound like Jim-bo is running some kind of Dickensian marshmallow sweat shop that specializes in Hate-puffs and party trinkets!!!! I mean, OF COURSE he is!!! I can’t…I CANNOT…stop “I give up” laughing! Monty Python needs to do a reunion IMMEDIATELY and handle this for me.

  10. Melania says:

So Kate is wearing racist labels and James makes Nazi products. What a duo!

    • Becks1 says:

      That baby shower though…….

    • Natalie S says:

      Sunglasses!

    • Beach Dreams says:

      Middleton values on display? 🙃

    • Va Va Kaboom says:

[Adjusting my Industrial strength tin hat]
      .
      .
I too am reminded of Kate’s very recent and very odd choice to wear Gucci while the blackface controversy raged. What was interesting is that to the best of people’s knowledge it was only the second time she publicly wore the brand and she did so then.

Forgive my trip to conspiracy theory territory, I’m 99.9999% sure I’m wrong, but it did seem like a strange coincidence. I wonder if it was some misguided attempt to get ahead of the story by getting the discussion of her responsibility for affiliations with businesses like Gucci (and now Boomf) started. Kate does occasionally theme dress and send messages through fashion.

  11. Enough S Enough says:

But to the British press, a biracial royal is a more serious crisis than a sibling of the Royal Family’s future Queen profiting by catering to White Supremacists & Nazis.

People are what they do, not what they pretend to be to prop up an image.

  12. Lindy79 says:

The “swinging his Range Rover keys about” line along with all the clothes labels is giving me such ‘Joey in Friends in all the Porche gear’ vibes.

  13. Simone says:

Business losses are write offs, so most rich people get rich by claiming the tax breaks/rebates. $3 mil over three years is genuinely a non-issue for a business like this that has a fair amount of overhead and a fair amount of investment to keep it steady. James went from running the company with a few staff to having enough demand to get more machines, hire new peope, and get a new space: Expansion is expensive, in other words, and reporting losses means his people still get paid, even if he isn’t making a lot of money.

But James doesn’t work at or for Boomf, he just owns it and hired other people to do things for him, so he has nothing to do with Nazi mallows. He DOES have a silver spoon in his mouth, and swans in whenever he wants BECAUSE HE OWNS THE DAMN COMPANY. He also doesn’t work as a tour guide. He spent a few months away from London at his in-laws’ place to not kill himself. He breeds and trains dogs and does what all People of Leisure do: Enjoys the privileges of being wealthy.

James Middleton did not print Nazi mallows, nor did he have anything to do with those mallows.

    • Nic919 says:

That excuse is not valid if the company gets fined. If you own the company you are legally responsible for the actions of the company and its employees. That’s like saying Henry Ford wasn’t responsible for the Pinto catching on fire because he didn’t make the car himself. This situation happened because james Middleton hired incompetent, ignorant or racist people who let this stuff get printed and there were negligent systems in place permitting it to happen not just once but more than once.

His best position is that he was negligent in who was hired and how they were supervised that this took place.

      • JustBitchy says:

Like the Sacklers are not responsible for the opioid epidemic and resulting reduction in life expectancy in the USA. From someone who knows!

    • Natalie S says:

He owns a company that is so poorly run that there’s no quality control on what is sent out. That’s on him.

James own Boomf. He is responsible for what happens there. If he doesn’t want to be associated with it, sell the company.

    • Clare says:

      @ Simone – WRONG.

‘But James doesn’t work at or for Boomf, he just owns it and hired other people to do things for him, so he has nothing to do with Nazi mallows.’

How are you going to tell me, in the same sentence, that he OWNS a company but has ‘nothing to do’ with the products it makes?

Nice try, but nope. As the owner of the company (and Wonka in chief) when this shit happens, it lands on him.

I’m sure he is free to cut ties with the business (which he probably will now, as damage control), but this shit was produced while he was still affiliated with the business. Hold him accountable. Frankly, sick of folks being given passes for this shit.

    • Salvation says:

Hahaha this @Simone post made me laugh so hard. Imagine if Meghan’s HALF BROTHER was the one in this situation… The wrath of Kate stand and all British tabloids toward Meghan would be so great. And I’m sure if roles were reversed, Meghan would have been tatted and feathered and dragged through the streets of London to pay for her half brother’s sins. But since it’s James Middleton, let’s move all the goal posts and attempt to exonerate James Middleton shit🙄🙄🙄

    • leela says:

Too bad that the image James was cultivating was that of a hardworking, very involved business owner (very easy to look for his past interviews). Hence, his self-given nickname of “Wonka-in-Chief”. Now he’s just a business owner, person of leisure and has totally nothing to do with the running of Boomf. Got that . . .

    • Maggie says:

Thanks for chiming in James….Pippa…or is it Carole.

    • Olenna says:

      @Simone,
Gurrlll, I hope you never have to testify for that fool.

  14. Nic919 says:

When I started working at a company with a UK HQ I had to take all the HR training that is required by law and it includes diversity training. Needless to say it covered a lot of areas and there are no excuses for letting this kind of racist symbolism get printed. It’s not ambiguous at all and only the most recognizable symbol for evil and white supremacy since WWII. While James may not be there every day, he was originally involved in hiring these people who are apparently too stupid to know better. He needs to take some responsibility here too.

  15. Mego says:

The damage control must be in full gear now in the Middleton-Cambridge camp. Carole is probably calling in favours at the DM and we can expect another Meghan smear story soon. William is probably having kittens too.

This only reinforces my very negative opinion of the Middleton family as shallow clueless social climbers at best with very racist tendencies at worst. Think Meghan is a shallow social climber? You just have to look at this entire family to see the read deal on shallow social climbing imo.

Also – It’s just good business sense to establish core values and policies that would prevent this from happening. 🙄

    • Mac says:

Ma Midd must be so pi$$ed. She has spent almost two decades curating the family’s image. She could easily deal with the entitled swagger, but the racism is a real problem for the Midds.

    • K2Squared says:

I think the DM will get exclusive pics on William & Kate’s ski trip!

    • Chaine says:

Exactly! I bet Someone is speed dialing Thomas Markle to prime him for a new interview as we speak!

  16. JadedBrit says:

To everyone on here crying and howling with laughter about how “hilarious” this is, here’s a tiny heads up: if you’re Jewish, it ain’t funny. Because we get this shit All The Time. I don’t give a damn what it’s printed on: Auschwitz is not a joke.

    • Bluthfan says:

I don’t think people are laughing at Nazis. Nazis are terrible. I think people are laughing at the absurd idea of a Nazi marshmallow gift box with confetti. It’s Just an odd visual. But, I think they are laughing more at James’ the rich, spoiled, imbecile.

      • JadedBrit says:

@Bluthfan If it were a lynching-themed gift box, would people be laughing at the absurdity of it, do you think? Or would they be palpitating with rage, horror and disgust (as I am at present, actually: I can feel my heart threatening to break out of my chest)? And making their feelings known on a global scale, on every social media platform that exists? I’m sorry – there can be no double standards. Genocide, cruelty, racism, inhumanity – none merit a mere snort, a shoulder-shrug, a “what can you do with stupid”. And certainly not the so-called jokes above. I’ve respected CB for a long time for its typically inclusive, feminist, anti-racist perspective, though only began commenting recently – I don’t know if I can continue to visit the site on the basis of the tone of this article. Some wounds go deep, through the bone, generation to generation, that there is nothing that can heal them; and flippancy only exacerbates them.

    • Original Jenns says:

I think/hope that what most people are laughing at is him getting his comeuppance from the whistle blowers description, not whatever the f is going on in that factory. I will mean spiritedly laugh at the picture of James Middleton swanning all over the company, swinging his fancy car keys and shaking his Armani jean butt for the employees to see all day. Aside from the horrifying sales items, what’s being glossed over is the horrific working environment the future kings in-laws have employees working in. Next step is running a sweat shop. He needs to be taken to task and held personally responsible for the Nazi items and employee abuse. He owns the place, he chooses his management, who follow the policies they all agreed upon, or should know are set in place by law. James Middleton needs to be held accountable.

      • Becks1 says:

I agree – I think most (hopefully all?) of the laughter is due to the description of James Middleton, and the fact that his marshmallow company always kind of generates laughter here. I know that I was shocked when I first read about this and aghast at the imagery used, which is partly why I said above that I was dumbfounded by this.

But, I also agree with JadedBrit that the jokes above are in poor taste.

      • notasugarhere says:

The Middletons have been caught selling products made by child labour. They also faced criticism for selling costumes for young children that were perceived as sexual in nature. James didn’t fall far from the dodgy Goldsmith/Middleton tree.

    • Dani says:

I AM HERE FOR THIS JADED!!! I agree with you 10000000%. This is disgusting and NEVER ends. Ha Ha Nazi marshmallows meanwhile our families were literally tortured, burned to death, shot to death, and little babies were gassed not even 80 years ago. The whole Royal family and their relatives through marriage and birth need to be canceled.

    • Natalie S says:

You’re completely right. I was mocking how stupid and pathetic I think Nazi beliefs are, but I wouldn’t even have thought about making a joke about lynching. I shouldn’t have joked about it at all and I was wrong to do it and it was in poor taste. I apologize for doing that.

      • Bluthfan says:

I am sorry for the pain my comments and others caused here. I should have been more sensitive. With the rise of anti-Semitism in the UK and US, this isn’t funny and really never was.

    • maggi says:

dear Jaded, I deeply appreciate your comments about the human cost of this. My heart squeezes in sympathy at how gruesome the idea of genocide being reduced to ..a marshmallow. I’m all for absurdity but this is something so dark, I can’t understand it.
I find myself cynically laughing at things on line, then I get a reminder like yours that this dehumanizing that is habitual in our culture keeps re-traumatizing and is actively moving us away from basic values of dignity and respect.
I hope you keep coming back to this site as I find your words valuable.

    • line says:

I think even if you are not Jewish, the holocaust is not something funny as slavery is not funny.

    • Spicecake38 says:

I hear you Jaded,I think people find his stupidity just, well it’s just unbelievable.Sorry that anything was said or done that makes light of what Jewish people (and others)endured at the hands of nazis, sorry that you are rightly offended and for the pain you have been caused.I have Ashkenazi Jewish decent in my heritage, but don’t know the whole story of how my great grandparents got to America or why(they are deceased) and whatever happened they never educated us about it,presumably out of fear of being ostracized.

      • CairinaCat says:

I’m Jewish, but I snorted when I read it all
I think it’s more a laugh at it or cry choice.
I think it’s being bombarded by all the shit coming from the White House, the president! Calling the press a enemy of the people, him forming a new military branch, him declaring a fake national emergency.
        All directly from Hitler’s playbook.

I was snorting at James swanning around and also at the absurd horror of hate puffs in a cloud of swastika confetti
But yes I agree, mocking things lessen their impact

    • Amelie says:

The thing is with everything that happens every day, you have to laugh at something otherwise we’d never get out of bed in the morning. And while it’s horrific that Boomf allowed not only but TWO orders of Nazi imagery deliveries out is awful but it’s also completely absurd in a dark humor kind of way. Why would you even want Nazi imagery on marshmallows in the first place? How stupid can you be to have your attention drawn to it by an employee and to let the delivery out anyways? They might just have signed on a birthday cake that said “Happy birthday Hitler” that’s how absurd and ridiculous this story is. And the fact that it’s James Middleton’s company is also even more WTF. You would expect this story from Meghan’s relatives, not Kate’s brother. It shows just how inept he is at running a company.

    • Mego says:

No Indeed JadedBrit it isn’t funny at all – it’s an outrage, it’s chilling and utterly shameful. I am absolutely disgusted.

  17. sid says:

I side-eye Carole Middleton’s media ways (that mini press conference on the Lindo Wing steps after George’s birth still has me shaking my head) but I can appreciate that she and her husband worked hard to build their business, even if I think there are some exaggerations about how big it is. It’s just funny that two go-getters ended up raising three children who come across as being so basic and not really about anything. But maybe after growing up working class they are satisfied with their kids being able to swan about like the idle rich.

    • Mumbles says:

There are some who wonder if Party Pieces is just a way for Uncle Gary to launder the revenue of his more profitable businesses. In a world where party supply stories are all over the place, I do wonder how people become multimillionaires selling confetti and party hats through the mail.

Have these people ever considered working for reals? Teaching, becoming doctors, lawyers, even banking? Imagine having such privilege and opportunity and deciding that you want to make printed marshmallows for a living. And he doesn’t even do any work, at that!

That’s why Meghan is such an anomaly to this crowd. She actually got her butt out of bed for years and went to a job.

      • Beach Dreams says:

The mystery behind the numbers of Party Pieces’ business and Uncle Gary’s possible connection did attract press. But this questioning happened during the engagement and the Palace intervened. We may never know but it definitely seems shady.

      • notasugarhere says:

And because of the way they set them up as private partnership, info how much money there really isn’t accessible.

      • Redgrl says:

@mumbles – wow, didn’t know that (re the money laundering). And I agree – go to school, learn a profession, acquire a trade – SOMETHING other than this bizarre Demi-monde that all the Mid Offspring inhabit.

    • BeanieBean says:

From what I remember of the Wooster & Jeeves books, the offspring of the landed gentry do nothing & I think that was Carole & Mike’s wish all along. They worked to build a company & become wealthy enough so that they & their children could then live like aristos.
And if Harry and David could make a fortune selling pears by mail order, I see no reason why somebody couldn’t do the same with party favors.

      • Mumbles says:

Good point. There is status in being so rich or established that you can waste your time on dumb things.

I think about the daughter of the late Duke of Westminster – the richest man in England – who now works as a prison reform advocate. But she’s the exception to the rule.

  18. Lisa says:

Cue Kate and William vacation pics or nasty Meghan articles to bury this.

  19. TheOtherOne says:

As a business owner myself, the buck stops with James. I gladly take responsibility for each of my employees. Before I became a business owner, I hated when supervisors threw me under the bus and I am determined not to do this to others.

The smart thing to do is release a statement that the company is looking into these allegations and issue some generic response that Anti Semitism is bad until you can find some better solution/strategy. Not that this makes it better or right, but it makes the company at least look proactive.

However, we are talking about the Mids. They will probably try to protect their image first instead of controlling the narrative. Also, I am not sure of UK law, but you may want to consult some lawyers if this could possibly be a criminal crime.

My only question – who leaked this story and why now?

  20. Mabs A'Mabbin says:

I have tears. Nazi marshmallows. MARSHMALLOWS. Posh James should hire Tori’s family for a recovery ad campaign. Hands across the water and all that.

  21. ChillyWilly says:

I am still giggling about James “swanning about ” in his “Chelsea boots”! 😂
    What an asshole.

  22. Feebee says:

I’m wondering if his mental health may not be used as a sort of crutch to explain some of this away. While this may not be on brand for the Middletons he’s certainly seems to be branded as the black sheep. I mean if Pippa did this, there would be more backlash. Just a hunch, I could be wrong. I observe from arms length.

  23. Mamunia says:

Considering that many British families have stories of relatives being killed in WWII or being bombed night after night by Nazi scum, I’m surprised this isn’t a bigger story. This is where bias really lies. Meghan had a baby shower and that was all over the Daily Fail, but not this story. I check it every day and never found it.
    Here’s the original story link:

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6724901/James-Middleton-allows-Nazi-propaganda-peddled-Boomf.html

  24. Sharon Lea says:

Its shocking that the paper tried ordering a Nazi item too, to see if the whistleblower was telling the truth, and the order was filled! The company/James should release some type of statement at the very least, that this will never happen again and they have taken measures….

  25. aquarius64 says:

I thought the Markles were dumb. Wow. As I said before the Middleton’s are just the posh version of them.

  26. Kate Kack says:

    I called them:
    +44 1183 218921
They were actually extremely polite. I even called James a douchebag and they laughed.

  27. Other Renee says:

I couldn’t find this article on the DM anywhere. Just twelve articles on Meghan’s shower with accompanying nasty comments. 🤔

    • Kittycat says:

      The article is buried.

A Google search is the only way I found it.

      • Other Renee says:

Buried is right. And here’s the title: “James Middleton’s gift company Boomf unwittingly created boxes plastered with Nazi swastikas and anti-Semitic images to be shipped to customers”

        UNWITTINGLY?

How was it done unwittingly? 😡

There are only 3 comments one of which is “someone really hates him in his company.” No irate complaints. No criticism of this heinous act. Nothing.

      • notasugarhere says:

“unwittingly”? The employee pulled the item, showed it to management, and they shipped it out anyway. And made money on it.

That headlines makes me think the story was getting out, but some long-standing loyalty to the Middleton leaks meant the DF put this “but he’s innocent” spin on it.

      • notasugarhere says:

It no longer shows up in the google news feed when I search for James Middleton. Older articles about him come up, but not this one.

  28. Spicecake38 says:

They will try to argue that he wasn’t on the premises and that he didn’t know and would not approve of what happened because it’s so glaringly offensive,if it was something brilliant and shiny and good he would be taking all the credit.

  29. Lynnie says:

Royal Family drama is just weird drama and confuses me. I don’t get how they have fans either like all of them are terrible?? Not to mention drain on taxpayers and don’t do anything. Smh just weird

  30. TheOriginalMia says:

Incompetent idiot. Proving that mediocre men always can fail up. I hope they are fined. Hold him and the company accountable for their actions.

  31. Jessica says:

This is what happens when you put money over morals.

  32. grumpy says:

Oh dear, I was prepared to give the benefit of the doubt if it was a proper swastika (which is a positive symbol) not a Nazi one, but I saw the picture and yes it is a full blown card carrying member of the nazi party.

  33. starryfish29 says:

If Meghan gets tied to every single thing that her crazy family does, like her half-brother’s ex-wife’s arrest, then I’m sure the British press will just as readily tie James’ scandals to his sister Kate. I’ll wait.

  34. TuxCat5 says:

According to the article, Boomf isn’t in an “ancient warehouse”… it’s in a BARN! The barn is split in two down the middle, Boomf is in one half, and in the other half is….a pork rinds (pork scratchings) company! Ewwwww!

  35. notasugarhere says:

@Kaiser, please keep on this story. It is being disappeared rapidly.
