Kristen Stewart’s ocean zombie movie ‘Underwater’ has a trailer: scary or dumb?

Kristen Stewart meets friends for lunch at Kismet restaurant in Los Feliz

I totally forgot that Kristen Stewart shaved her head a while ago. Remember that? She looked so cute with the buzzcut. She dyed it blonde and it really suited her. Well, she did it for a movie, and now we have a trailer for that movie – it’s called Underwater and it’s basically… Aliens, But In The Ocean. Kristen is part of a team which includes Vincent Cassel and TJ Miller (gross, hope his character dies quickly) and they go down to the bottom of the ocean to drill, and they woke some sh-t up and now Ocean Zombies are coming for them. Here’s the trailer:

While I’m a scaredy cat about horror movies, I could probably watch this. Like, I love Aliens and that what this is – Ocean Aliens. Can we have a word about Kristen’s recent script choices too? I love that she’s getting out of her comfort zone and doing stuff like this. She went from teen vampire romance heroine to indie/foreign film star and now she’s doing stuff like sci-fi/adventure ocean zombie movies and Charlie’s Angels. Good for her.

As for Kristen’s personal life, she’s still “not hiding.” She very publicly wanted us to know that she was back with Stella Maxwell a few weeks ago… and then last week, Kristen was photographed making out with writer Dylan Meyer in New York (see below). I think Kristen is just going through one of her phases where she cycles through a few ladies over the course of three months, then she’ll settle down with someone for a year, then the cycle will play out again.

I listened to a cave diver interviewed on npr yesterday and her oddly calm voice in describing terrifying situations under water was way scarier than this…

I know it was supposed to be scary, but it was meh. The underwater scenes were far too dark (realistic, though) to convey that sense of terror.

    That movie looks bad.

  4. Josephine says:

Could be fun but hoping she’s not really carrying the movie despite the fact that she dominated the preview. Maybe her acting has improved but this seems like odd casting.

  5. jojo says:

The movie looks lame. The trailer has a very style over substance feel to it.

As a fan, Kristen needs to take a break from hooking up/ dating and try being single for awhile. She been dating since she was a teenager and has never been single for more than 5 mins.

Lol. I remember when she and Robert were “married”

I enjoyed the trailer. Hoping it goes more Alien and less Abyss. But i’ll watch this when it streams.

ha, she is living her best life, good for her!

Any one else aside from me think she’s not that great an actress?

She’s horrible and always has been. No emotional range whatsoever and she just always seems like she’d rather be somewhere else.

This looks like Life except even worse and under water.

It looks good. Being trapped underwater is a big nightmare of mine.
