Prince William & Harry are splitting the remaining money from the Diana fund

BRITAIN LONDON RAF 100TH ANNIVERSARY

Prince William and Harry’s separation has been a slow-going process but it’s still happening. There will be little common ground or few joint-projects left when all is said and done. I actually forgot that William and Harry were part of Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, and that there was still money in the fund left to be distributed. There was money left in the fund, and William and Harry’s brotherly divorce has meant that they’re just splitting the money down the middle:

Prince William and Prince Harry have taken another step in the ongoing breakup of their official business. The proceeds of the fund set up in the memory of their late mother Princess Diana will now be split between the brothers’ charitable efforts. Since 2013, the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, which was originally set up in the wake of her 1997 death, has been paid into the Royal Foundation.

The Diana fund has not been actively fundraising for many years but receives money from legacies and other donations. Last year, the Royal Foundation received around $27,000 from the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, according to its annual report. Harry doesn’t have a charitable entity in the U.K. any longer since the disbanding of Sussex Royal, which had been planned as his and Meghan’s future philanthropic vehicle. The couple gave that up when they stepped back from their official royal roles earlier this year. They are now making plans for their new organization, Archewell.

Harry has asked his share from the year to go towards his HIV/AIDS charity Sentebale. That is a fitting place for the money as the organization, which he set up with his friend Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, Africa was inspired by his mother’s work in combating AIDS.

The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund was originally set up to receive the vast number of public donations and money-raising from projects like sales of Elton John’s commemorative version of his song “Candle in the Wind,” which he performed at Diana’s September 1997 funeral.

[From People]

“Last year, the Royal Foundation received around $27,000 from the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, according to its annual report…” Good God, the Royal Foundation is so shady. William and Kate’s foundation is such a scam! They raise all of this money, they “take” money from Diana’s memorial fund, and yet the charities supported by the Royal Foundation languish unaided and unfinanced. Anyway, I’m glad that Harry won’t have to deal with William’s financial schemes and scams any longer. But it is sad to think that the brothers can’t even bury the hatchet about something to do with their mother. (Still, that’s on William.)

Meanwhile, do you remember the frenzy in the days and weeks after Harry and Meghan announced their Sussexit? There were curious stories about William being “incandescent with rage” about… everything, and then there was this even more curious story about William telling people that “I’ve put my arm around my brother all our lives, I can’t do that anymore.” It was William’s way of lamenting the fact that Harry married a biracial American woman and now Harry and Meghan weren’t down with the “everybody under the bus for King William” program. The way those quotes were picked up at the time, I knew that Willileaks had put it out there and that he was practically issuing a formal statement. Turns out, William actually said that to a Times reporter, and that Times reporter was the unnamed source (a “friend”) for a Times piece:

William is just disgusting, leaking like that to a Times editor. Well, it confirms what we have all been saying. I am just surprised that he leaked directly and not by proxy. Not very swift. Now, hopefully, more will understand just how warped William is and how wronged the Sussexes were.

    • jess says:

no wonder he looks like a toe now he’s so ugly on the inside. my brother and I don’t get along that often but damn I would never sell him out like this.

      • Tealie says:

I agree it’s so disgusting what he has done, but i don’t think he realises the enemy of your enemy is NOT your friend. Just because the British public may not like H&M does not mean they will like and support him, there is only so long he can sell them out to ‘boost’ his image, at which point he will be alone with the wolves

      • notasugarhere says:

The ‘British public’ does not dislike Harry and Meghan. A handful of extremely active trolls do not represent a nation of nearly 70 million.

    • Osty says:

@Tealie, exactly , william is foolish to think the press likes him, when the time comes they will chew him alive and it wouldn’t be pretty. He saw what happened to his mum when she played the media game and decades later wills is doing the same thing . And with social media the disgrace n effect would be massive than Diana’s era . I hope he is ready for that

    • PrincessK says:

It is very sad that William and Harry cannot even work together on their mother’s memorial fund. It underlines just how bad things are between them, and proves that it all began long before Meghan became part of the family.

  2. jess says:

the more and more details come out the more I strongly believe that one of the reasons why the cambridges were so upset at meghan was because she actually did refuse these two from taking money from the funds that the cookbook raised.

the fact that these foundations/charities/fund receive money yet is somehow so ineffective (kate’s charities closing down for instance) makes me wonder where and who the hell is the money going to?

    • Laalaa says:

      This makes so much sense!!

    • Sarah says:

Don’t they throw fancy parties and pay various staff? That all costs money.

    • Chrissy says:

I bet some of the money is being used to maintain the Middletons’ lifestyle.

      • Mara says:

I’d love to see a really detailed, deep dive analysis on royal fundraising. I feel like everything we know is all PR and speculation

      • BayTampaBay says:

There is no way money could be taken from the Royal Foundation and given to the Middletons.

      • Mac says:

You can see a detailed audit of income and expenses. It’s on the foundation website.

      • notasugarhere says:

It is a fluff report, geared towards making W&K look far better than they should. It doesn’t go down to where each penny went.

      • Mac says:

It’s not a fluff report. It’s a legal document and the trustees are accountable for it’s accuracy.

      • Nic919 says:

There are vague weasel words used in the report to protect the accountants from an E and O claim but it is not as precise as it could be. A legal document doesn’t mean there can’t be obfuscation and many many lawsuits involve the examination of “legal” documents. Accountants can only make a report based on the information they are provided and when I cross examine accountants they often point out that their report is conditional upon several assumptions, including what the client provided them.

      • Sid says:

Mac, the financial report was vague in the way that financial reports can be vague while still adhering to regulations. Per the report, over £500,000 was spent on the Early Years initiative in 2019. Outside of about £80,000 that apparently went to admin and support costs, it’s not quite straightforward what the rest of that money was spent on. Surely the planning for that joke of a survey did not cost over £400,000?

      • notasugarhere says:

Thank you Sid and Nic919. That’s what I consider a fluff report. Vague wording, praise about what might be done, what it might mean. Very little hard facts of exactly where the money went, how it was used, how it will be used in the future.

Two directors for this foundation quit in four months, one of whom was the accountant. Abrupt, high-level departures and then a vague financial report with no details is released. Read between the lines and notice how shady this all looks.

    • S808 says:

yup, I agree. Meghan protected Hubb funds and the king and queen of keen, who’s way of running a foundation seems to be taking funds from one charity to support another, were pissed. I just know Meghan took one look at the RF’s financials and knew her and Harry had to get the hell outta there.

    • ArtHistorian says:

Do the Cambridges actually fundraise for their foundation?

      • Sid says:

Art, I believe there is some sort of annual gala, but outside of that I can’t really recall hearing about any fundraising initiatives. I guess that regatta was supposed to raise some money too? It looks like there is a reason that Meghan’s work with Hubb stood out so much in terms of fundraising.

      • notasugarhere says:

And where are the exact details of the Regatta, what services were donated at what value, what if anything did it earn overall? Was it a net loss?

    • Prayer Warrior says:

yep, me too. SHOW ME THE MONEY….and show me where it all went, please. We know Sentebale will get Harry’s half in a lump sum….what’s happening with Wicked Will’s half, eh???

  3. Aurora says:

“I’ve put my arm around Harry all my life ….”

    Cont’d

“… but I can’t do it anymore because he finally saw the knife in my hand that was going to go in his back.”

  4. S808 says:

No wonder RRs are so comfortable with talking crazy about H&M online. Why bother to keep it professional when a future monarch is keeping about them like this in public?

I got a giggle from the Facebook blurb. William has done nothing about cyber bullying on his own online platforms but is taking pot shots at Facebook. Me thinks Willy sees the impact H&M are having by joining that campaign and wants a piece of the pie.

    • Love says:

I saw that Facebook part too and thought he wants it out there that he was ‘having’ these discussions with Facebook last year. If he was good for him… but 👀😒

1 more month until Omid’s book comes out. I expect these stories to ramp up. Stay strong Harry & Meg!

  5. Emily says:

What are the reporting requirements of the royal foundations? I work for a charity in Canada and we have fairly rigorous reporting about how much money is spent on marketing, how much goes to the programs, list top ten salaries etc. I’m interested to know if the Keens do this.

Meghan and Harry probably found the Keens corrupt and that’s the issue. And William’s refusal to care about racism.

  6. AGreatDane says:

It’s funny that William saw himself as some kind of steadying guide for Harry, because when he supposedly had his “arms around his brother”, said brother was dressing like a Nazi, running around with escorts in Vegas, smoking weed, and calling people ethnic slurs. Now he’s addressing institutional racism and recidivism in the US criminal justice system. Taking those arms from around Harry was probably the best thing that could have happened to the man.

    • Tessa says:

Harry apologized for everything. William never had to apologize for anything. His father had to apologize to the owner of a neighboring estate for William speeding in his car on the man’s property. William commandeered a military copter to land on Kate’s parents lawn and used it to get to a stag party. His commanding officer got the blame.
William was with Harry when he bought the Nazi outfit. Philip has made ethnic slurs for years, never apologized once. William had a very politically incorrect birthday party “celebrating” Colonia Africa. He was said to be wearing a loincloth at the party. William also looked worse for wear many times bar hopping and trotted off for a “fun” weekend with his buddies leaving Kate and the children.

      • Nic919 says:

Doesn’t he have a few teeth replaced due to accidents at the drunken outings?

      • Harper says:

Good one @Nic919! According to reports, Will was at the society wedding of Tom VonStraubenzze and Lady Melissa Percy in 2013 in Northumberland without Kate, who was back in London pregnant with George. Wills was dancing into the wee hours of the night when his friend Tom Inskip supposedly accidentally hit him in the face on the dance floor knocking out a good part of Will’s tooth. Will had to go to an emergency dentist for repairs before returning to London. The story was kept secret for over a year until someone on the Fail reported it.

Wonder how true that story is.

      • Peony_Wise says:

Exactly @Tessa. Just to point out though, for accuracy: The costume William reportedly wore at his 21st birthday ‘Out of Africa’-themed party held at Buckingham Palace, was ‘a straw skirt.’ Some comments online also suggest he was in blackface. There’s two articles I found online that mention the ‘straw skirt’ African tribal costume William wore: 1) a 2003 Fox News online article in which William is quoted; and 2) a 2005 report in The Guardian about the Nazi costume Harry wore at a different party in 2005, mentions the ‘straw skirt’ that William wore at the 2003 party. In 2005, William wore a black and gold ‘leopard’ costume.

The main thing to realize is that holding both costume parties was William’s idea. In any case, Harry was outed by a secretive photo that was taken of him at the 2005 party, and surely sold to the tabloids. Harry faced the music and apologized. It was stupid and insensitive of Harry to wear that Nazi uniform. But he apologized, and he apparently has learned from his youthful transgressions.

William’s mistakes and questionable behavior has always been covered up. Harry was always William’s fall guy and third wheel spare. Therefore, spoiled, pampered and entitled William has learned nothing, except how to be an a$$h*le and how to get away with scurrilous behavior.

  7. ABritGuest says:

The quotes about the steely side of William being apparent when Harry started war against the press& then leaving for the US shortly after telling.

In recent weeks we’ve had Tatler talk about rumours of closeness between William& Rose Hanbury, Spectator talk about how Simon Case was responsible for Flybe budget flight, and now ex editor of Times is spilling that William has been talking to editors about his relationship with his brother& suggesting link between William& Harry’s exit from Britain. In case William doesn’t know it- the press are NOT his friends.

    • Britt says:

Yep. I think the media have been secretly leaking these stories and dropping hints about William. That man and his wife are puppets for the Tory government. I think he’s been jealous because Harry not only married a beautiful, accomplished woman but he has his freedom and is certainly more respected by figures than William. The root of all this madness is jealousy and if the Cambridge’s think that the media won’t turn on them, they’re deluding themselves.

I saw a theory that the media wants to drag the Royal family into this lawsuit because they were both involved in the smear campaign. I think this is about controlling the firm but also getting back at them because this whole thing had damaged the media even further, messed their money up etc. That photo of Andrew at Epstein’s estate and Ghislaine/Kevin wasn’t just random. That was a warning shot, along with Tatler and I’m sure many will follow.

      • ABritGuest says:

I agree Britt. The Fail is labouring with additional questions as they want to expose the palace too. I am betting dropping the lawsuits came up in the Sussexit negotiations& think this is why it was made clear other royals weren’t supporting the Sussexes when the lawsuits were announced.

Someone in the media had that Ghislaine& Kevin Spacey photo for a while as a Times reporter said she had reported on the event and the palace had dismissed report as ‘speculation’. It’s like those other Andrew at Epstein’s NYC place pics that suddenly materialised after his Newsnight interview.

The press has the Firm in a vice and they have to play ball. I think William’s Brexit staff have helped engineer things too for government’s benefit eg William’s pub trip where many were calling him a government prop. I can see that outing going badly if infections rise again .

With Sussexes gone, the press is going to want a return on it’s PR& Kate especially will be expected to perform. The kids might not be as shielded from the press growing up now as the Cambridges might have liked. Re the Tatler article if any truth to that piece, that’s maybe what Kate is really stressed about.

      • Becks1 says:

I agree with both of you. The press is going to expect the Cambridges and the rest of the royal family to play ball, and when they cant or wont, the knives will come out. The press didn’t have to print that picture of Ghislaine and Kevin Spacey at Buckingham Palace. That was 100% a warning shot – “we have a lot more than this.”

The Cambridge kids will not be as shielded as W&K may like, social media and the internet would see to that anyway, but the press needs to be fed, and W&K being boring isn’t going to cut it.

I think things are about to get very bumpy for the royal family.

  8. Ginger says:

He said this in October of 2019 but they waited to use the quote after it was announced the Sussex’s were leaving. Horrible. William is a horrible, awful person and I hope karma comes for him HARD.

    • NoWords says:

So the media did the media thing where they change the littlest detail and create drama. They changed the timing of when he said this to push their narrative. Still not okay, and cringeworthyp for him to say but at least we can see how the tabs can greatly shift any narrative with just the smallest tweak.

      • notasugarhere says:

You cannot excuse William saying this at any time, NoWords. What he was doing was pre-poisoning the well right before Harry and Meghan left for six weeks. He then leaked their location to Wootten, and leaked the plans to leave royal life to Wootten.

    • Tessa says:

I feel sorry for the three children, William would not hesitate to treat them badly especially the “spares.” He already has groused about how “noisy” they are and so on. Karma will come if the children turn on him, even George.

      • paddingtonjr says:

I worry about the Cambridge kids too. They may not know everything that’s going on, but kids know when things aren’t right. At some point, they will notice that Uncle Harry, Aunt Meghan and cousin Archie aren’t around anymore. They’ve probably already noticed that George gets singled out for things like portraits or activities with the grown-ups. Considering how William treated Harry under the eye of Charles and how single-minded the Middletons are about Kate being QC and George being king, things do not look good for Charlotte and/or Louis. I really worry if any of the kids have their own minds and decide to actually try to work hard at something!

    • Mary says:

Yes, October 2019, around the time that Richard Palmer said that no one in the Firm was supporting the Sussexes (just to how many reporters / editors did William talk?!). Yet, the Royal family and reporters now want you to believe that the Sussexes were supported all along by the Firm???? SMH

      • TheOriginalMia says:

Good catch, Mary. Palmer got the info from William & reported it.

      • Mary says:

I checked on the dates and William went to a London pub to watch a soccer match on October 11th of last year. Palmer tweeted that no one in the Firm supports the Sussexes TWO DAYS LATER !!

You can find a screen shot of Palmer’s October 13th tweet in a reply to a recent post of his about Meghan’s court filing indicating that she felt unsupported.

Ivens, Palmer….. Anyone else? Did Will get sh*t-faced and start bawling in his cider cups about his wayward brother for all in the pub to hear? Or, is this further evidence supporting Tim Shipman’s contentions of his betrayal by way of dealing with senior Royal reporters?

      • Mary says:

Amendment: Palmer also tweeted as early as the 7th of October 2019 (4 days before pub trip) and again at least once more before his tweet on the 13th. So, did Will sidle up to Palmer on his own?

    • Nic919 says:

It’s amazing that William can throw his brother to the press but he remains silent regarding his uncle the sex trafficker. The priorities of that family are deranged.

In any case William opened up a Pandora’s box by speaking directly to a member of the media about Harry and they are going to want more. It is a betrayal and for what? It’s not like Harry a criminal like his uncle.

      • notasugarhere says:

After the decision was finally made to sideline Andrew? After the fact, William dictated a slew of headlines – ‘It was William’s decision, he is running the royal family now, he is the moral centre of the family, he demanded Andrew be thrown out’.

  9. Osty says:

I’m not surprised that William said this, but what is surprising that he didn’t send one of his staff but he himself above about his family relationship to a stranger. He is so bad at everything including smearing, harry the one pple call unintelligent when asked said they are all on a different paths but he will always love his brother . Petty PWT couldn’t even hide his shitty behaviour and hatred of his brother in public . This petulant man will be our future king , thank God they don’t have real power

    • Ginger says:

Exactly. William is the unintelligent brother. He is the one playing this game with the press
      (Which never ends well)

Also, he was ready to drop out of University after his first semester because it was hard but Daddy pulled some strings to make him stay. You have to keep the narrative as William smart, Harry dumb. We can’t have an intelligent spare.

      • notasugarhere says:

If he had left Uni, the press ban would have been lifted and they’d be free to report on all his negative behavior. William stayed to keep that press code in place, a code he keeps insisting should be extended forever. Harry never had the benefit of that code because he didn’t go to University.

      • Tessa says:

Although some less than attractive stories came out about WIlliam. Supposedly he shot a cat on a hunting jaunt, he looked worse for wear, and he had a politically incorrect birthday party celebrating Colonial africa. Some of the costume were said to be cringe inducing and racist.

      • Digital Unicorn says:

William has openly misbehaved in front of the press many many times – there are the paps shot of him urinating in public in full front of them. The shots appeared in some of the more salacious European rags and lets just say, I hope for Kate’s sake he’s a grower. They’ve since been scrubbed from the net but a few of the royal forums have the screen grabs in their archives behind a registration wall.

      • Lizzie Bathory says:

        @Digital Unicorn “I hope for Kate’s sake he’s a grower.” LMAOOOO

      • February-Pisces says:

He couldn’t even hack art history? That’s the subject toffs do when they want to doss around for 3years at uni.

What is this about him shooting a cat? Did he do it on purpose? I remember hearing about him shooting some endangered bird. I can’t believe he would shoot a cat, he’s actually a psychopath.

I bet there are pictures somewhere of Willie in blackface at one of these parties, I can’t just picture it. Hope it leaks one day.

I always said that people who are still bragging about their GCSE results in their 30s have clearly never achieved anything since. Funnily enough all the book smart people at my school never became the big achievers afterwards. I always say only a street smart person would have invented the wheel.

      • ArtHistorian says:

Well, the demands are more lax in the UK but Art History isn’t inherently an easy subject. When I started my first year in Denmark I was expected to read several foreign languages. There isn’t really a foreign language requirement for undergraduate and graduate degrees in the UK – and when I did my MA in the UK, the essays were only 10 pages (vs the 30 pages essays in my own country) and the dissertation was only 30 pages (vs the 100 page dissertation in the DK). I did get the opportunity to study with one of the really big names in the field.

However, I’m getting tired of people disparaging an entire academic field because Kate and William are privileged mediocrities who only did a BA.

I have studied Art History in 2 different countries and I never met a person who just studied it to pass time. Then again, I’d never attend to St. Andrew’s for art history. Neither would I look to Oxford or Cambridge for the interesting research in the field.

      • Becks1 says:

I took art history 101 in college and I found it very difficult – memorizing the works of art and the artists was easy enough but I am not really an art person – like I see something and think its gorgeous, but I cant tell you if its because I like the use of light or the way the painter used shading etc. Likewise the various periods and trends get confusing for me. And that was just in the intro class (think 250 students in a lecture hall) although I think my university had a good program in general. My best friend was actually an art history major with a minor in classics and spent her summers on digs in Italy etc.

(we were required to take some sort of creative arts class in college and art history beat out music for me, ha.)

But, for Kate, it definitely seems like she considered what major was a good fit for a future queen. I think its pretty clear that she didn’t learn a whole lot during that time though, but mediocre people skate through college all the time.

      • ArtHistorian says:

Well, Art History isn’t really about memorizing stuff. It is about reading visual objects + learning a lot of history as well as philosophy and critical theory, pretty sophisticated theory. It isn’t really that much about why something is beautiful either. We are not there to make judgement of good and bad art, those judgement are often very rooted in particular socio-historical circumstances. It is about how art works, how we use it, and how it works in a lager social context – though the field is ever expanding, fc into neuro-aesthetics (what happens in the brain when we look at art).

I’m just tied of seeing people who know nothing of it denigrate my field of study – also because it is part of a wider denigration of the arts and humanities as well. As if story-telling, decoration and image-making isn’t an integral part of humanity. The oldest images are more than 30.000 years old. The study of art, literature, etc. is, in fact, part of the study if humanity. It is perhaps not a field of study that neatly slots people into professions where they can become cogs in the capitalist machine – but it does have value.

      • Nic919 says:

@art historian my undergrad is in English lit and so I understand and agree with your position on the value of an arts degree. It provides critical thinking and analytical skills that can be applied to a variety of different fields. The need to get a degree that leads to a job isn’t the purpose of learning or university, but things have become so commodified and commercialized that there is this pressure to provide instant value for what can be learned at university. FYI getting an MBA doesn’t automatically get you a job either.

That said there are people who skate through university learning nothing because they don’t need too. Many people have BA degrees and are utter dummies. William and Kate are examples of this. No intellectual curiosity and no evidence they ever bothered doing much of anything other than party and occasionally make it to class. The pathetic RR have tried to imply intellectual ability simply because they have BA degrees, but anyone who has attended and done the actual work can spot these posers from miles away. The rich and connected don’t need to earn their way and from day one Kate benefitted from her connection to William at university as much as he did for being a royal. It’s obvious now that both of them remain pretty useless despite being 38 and approaching 40. Degree or not, these two just don’t care and it shows.

      • Korra says:

@Digital Unicorn – those photos are actually easy to find if you just Google “Prince William peeing.” Truthfully, a lot of FFK’s incriminating photos are easy to find, but you would have to know what to look for. What protects him is that the public has a short-term memory and his current quid pro quo relationship with the press means no one is going to bother resurfacing his unsavory past behavior, at least not for now.

      • ArtHistorian says:

You can’t use a BA degree for much. It is merely an entry point for further study. There is a cultural difference. I know that a lot of people in the UK only take a BA that they never use whereas in my country people take a BA as an entry point for further study because you can’t use a BA for much in itself. There’s also a HUGE difference in the party culture between the UK and the DK. Undergraduate students party more and harder than their Danish counterparts (who often have jobs beside their studies) – at least that’s my experience when I studied a decade ago. Parents don’t fund their children’s university studies where I live.

Sure, there are people who skate along and don’t do much (however, in my country they usually drop out) – I just got annoyed by yet another blanket statement about an entire field of study (there’s been so quite a few blanket statement about my field here just because people don’t like Kate – from people who clearly know nothing about the thing they disparage). It would be like me saying that computer studies are for asocial nerds who live in their parents’ basement. It just pisses me off.

William is stupid and probably shouldn’t even have been at uni since he doesn’t seem to value book learning. According to what I’ve read (a long time ago), Kate was actually accepted to study Psychology at Edinburgh but changed to Art History at St. Andrew’s when Will’s uni plans became public. I don’t know how accurate that is.

  10. Becks1 says:

I was surprised that I was so surprised at this revelation yesterday. Like, I knew that people close to the Cambridges were going to the press (Carole etc) – I just didn’t realize William was comfortable enough with the “leaks”* that he would shit-talk Harry at a bar to a Times editor.

I’m not even sure this qualifies as a “leak.” this is a quote. This is William talking directly to a reporter/editor. So when roya nikkah (I think that’s who it was) ran that story in January – there’s a reason they felt comfortable enough making that quote the headline. There was no pushback on it from KP and now we know why.

The Tim Shipman article from last year stated that William was getting close to top people in the media for the express purpose of boosting himself and briefing against the Sussexes. Now we have proof.

      • Becks1 says:

Yup. It was interesting last night to go back and read that part of the Shipman article, about William aligning himself with the press against H&M, in light of the information from Ivens.

I do find the timing of this from Ivens interesting – he’s known for months what William said, obviously. Why print that bit of information now? Like some were saying above – this is a warning shot.

      • Nyro says:

Yep. And Shipman also said they royals were fearful that HM would leave for good and head to Los Angeles. I’m so glad their greatest fear has been realized. All that backstabbing and sabotaging and yet the one thing they never wanted to happen has happened. Lol, they’re gonna be sick once coronavirus is over and HM really start getting out there. Among young people, they’re going to be relegated to an afterthought like the rest of the European royals.

      • Nic919 says:

Shipman was so on the money as to what was going on. While not shocked that William would be dumb enough to speak to someone from the media about Harry (although I thought there might be an intermediary) I am surprised that Ivens feels comfortable revealing that William spoke with him directly. It’s basically showing the media doesn’t fear William and they will reveal his secrets.

So dumb for William to bash his brother directly to the media and the repercussions from this aren’t over yet.

    Harry, the prodigal son 🙁

  12. ABritGuest says:

Also those asking about the video of a reporter recounting being asked to trash Meghan by a Sun editor: It’s on YouTube-‘Future of the British monarchy’ as part of the Rancho mirage writers festival. I can’t link but reporter mentions it about 41 minutes in.

  13. AnnaKist says:

He has “Prince” before his name, but William is still an oik. Ugh.

  14. Nyro says:

#WillieLeaks is real. The Sussex Squad has been right about everything from the start. Everything! And that infamous Rim Shipman article from the Spring of 2019 has held up well.

  15. Livvers says:

I find that Martin Ivens quotation where he calls Harry “off the reservation” offensive. Like, that is a hands down racist (& colonial/settler) term!

    Good fewer ties the better.

  17. Lowrider says:

William is a snake and he is the one playing a very dangerous game with the tabloid media. The tabs OWN him.

  18. Yvette says:

I ‘knew’ William was the one who leaked Harry and Meghan’s plan to move! And from the way it reads, he deliberately leaked it to a tabloid so Harry and Meghan would suffer as much grief as possible before they left. Or more likely … he wanted ‘Meghan’ to suffer as much grief as possible before they left. Scandalous!
