The Kardashian-Jenner women sat down to do a two-part “behind the curtain” chat for the end of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Andy Cohen came in to interview them, Real Housewife-style, and so many stories are coming out from the airing of Part 1 last night. Most of the stories are kind of blah, whatever, but I did enjoy what Kim Kardashian had to say about her second marriage, to Kris Humphries. That was her infamous 72-day marriage and I still, to this day, believe that Kim married Kris because she was bored and panicked about turning 30. This fall is actually the ten-year anniversary of her dumb 72-day marriage. LMAO. Anyway, she chatted about Humphries on the reunion:
Kim Kardashian says she owes Kris Humphries an apology — but he was apparently not in a forgiving mood. The “KUWTK” star, 40, confessed during the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” reunion that she attempted many times with no success to tell her ex-hubby how sorry she was for the way she handled their 72-day marriage and years-long divorce.
“I tried to,” she admitted. “I tried calling him for months.”
She said that she once ran into Humphries at the Beverly Hills Hotel, while she was out with her daughter North and pregnant with her son Saint, but things didn’t go well.
“I saw him and all of his friends got up from the table, we had the tables next to each other,” she said. “All of his friends got up and said hi to me and he literally just looked at me and like wouldn’t even speak to me.”
Earlier in the episode she admitted, “I was so nervous to break up with someone. I handled it totally the wrong way. I fully broke up with him in the worst way and I couldn’t — I just didn’t know how to deal. I learned so much from it.”
Kim also explained that Humphries is “faith-based” and wanted an annulment so it wouldn’t be “on his record,” which is why he claimed fraud in his filing — not because she conned him into marriage. “If I was mature, I would have wanted the annulment too,” she said. “I wish I was only married once.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian and Kris Jenner all agreed that they didn’t think the marriage was going to last, with Jenner confessing she told Kim she could get out of the wedding the night before. “I thought, ‘OK, everyone, you know, we’re filming this for a TV show. If I leave, I’m going to be known as the runaway bride forever and it’s going to be a huge joke,’” Kim confessed, chalking her nerves up to cold feet.
She also admitted that she did not save any of the money that they were pocketing from production for filming their wedding, instead spending it on covering the difference in cost of what production was paying for the nuptials. “I would have saved my money,” she joked.
Kris Humphries was so mad at her! I remember, back then, people claimed that Humphries would be the one to take down the family, that he should sue them or something. No. It was just a dumb wedding between two people who never should have gotten married. She thought she should get married to someone around her 30th birthday and Kris was just some guy she met. She was unwilling to move away from her family, and he wanted to settle down with a wife who would play second fiddle to him and his career. It was always going to be a disaster and that’s what it was.
What else? Kim said that she and Kanye West will always be friends and family. Kim also admitted that KUWTK would not have been the success it was in the first year without her sex tape with Ray J.

I understand the concept of an annulment but at the same time you can’t just take that back! You literally had a wedding, you were married to this person for a period of time, whether you divorce or annul that marriage still happened.
I totally don’t blame him for not forgiving her. He was duped.

I TOTALLY agree with you on her face. she looks SO much prettier in these pics with Humphries than she does now. I mean, I thought she was gorgeous before any of her alterations but now?…she’s so manufactured looking, like a mannequin. look at pics of her when she and Paris Hilton were BFFs. she was SOOOOOO pretty.
As of now, Chicago looks most like her original face. None of those kids stand a chance, but if left alone, Chicago will be a beautiful.

He’s Catholic and can’t be married ever again in the eyes of his God because he had a divorce. The fact that she refused to give him an annulment that meant nothing to her and everything to him speaks volumes to her character.
Gwen Stefani was married for a decade and has kids but couldn’t marry Blake Shelton until that marriage was annulled because she’s Catholic. It’s a huge fucking deal in that religion and Kim is a slimy snake to deny Chris that annulment. She was spiteful and showed who she really is and showed she only cares about herself.
@ Jessica : a catholic could be married again but not in a Catholic church. There are other things involved too but a divorced, not annulled Catholic can legally marry again and could do it inside the church of another religion.

I watched the reunion last night. Why the hell was Kim ten shades darker than her natural skin color? My God.
She had had work done by that point but it wasn’t extreme, it still followed the contours of her original face. Now she looks like a blow up doll.
She’s had at least three nose jobs, her nose gets smaller and smaller. Kris thinks the smaller the nose the better.
She was so grossed out by him and he couldn’t see. I felt sorry, but dude, it was obvious.

Filming a wedding for a TV show and not wanting to be joked about as a “runaway bride” is no reason to go through with a wedding to someone you do not love and have no intention of living with as a spouse. He wanted a marriage, she wanted a publicity stunt. She trashed that man’s life to get attention for herself. She should be grateful that he signed the divorce papers before she gave birth to her daughter because the legal mess of the child being born during that marriage and being legally his would have served her right. Is that one of the many questions she got wrong on the baby bar?
The legal father of a child is not the husband of the mother. The legal father of a child is either the man listed on the birth certificate or adoption papers – or by acting like a father whilst him and Kim were still married. Even if North was born whilst they was still legally married, I highly doubt any of these scenarios would have occurred.
As I leaned it in law school, husband is presumed father unless proven otherwise and I had cases involving this when the state was trying to determine whose income to count for welfare and Medicaid income eligibility. Not that she would be applying for either but he could have made life very difficult for her.
@GA, most states, including CA, use the marital presumption. That means the legal husband of the child’s mother is presumed to be the legal father. Although the presumption can be rebutted with other evidence (DNA, etc), it is often the legal default. And yes, I’m a lawyer.
Not true, GA. The legal father of the child varies by state. In some states, if the wife has an affair, the cheated-on husband is still considered the father of the child. The husband has to file motions to sever the presumption.
She would have been SOL in Texas either way, because OUR delightful marital presumption law considers the legal father to be the mother’s legal husband even if they divorce/separate within 300 days of the birth. Although she would have been able to contest it with paternity testing, but it would have still been a headache.

I second all the comments about how she had such natural beauty before she started so badly altering her face. Funny how those who have altered their noses so much clearly sound like it- i.e., so incredibly nasal.
I always thought Kim was so beautiful before she started messing with her face. She just had very unique and lovely features to her. Just as others have echoed here, it is so sad to see how she altered it so much into a Barbie like thing – not even resembling who she really was before. I am sure too, there is more to the story behind the split between Kim and Kris, but whatever LOL. Can’t blame him for being so pissed, but it was his choice.

I’m not sure it’s fair to say a husband expecting his wife to live with him and not her…mother? Is asking her to play second fiddle to him and his career. Ten years later and we are still low key trashing the guy even when we know they edited and reshot scenes entirely just to make him look like shit.
The re-shooting scenes was horrible of them to do. How can you be in a LA studio lot pretending to be in a car in Dubai talking about how miserable you are in your marriage. When in reality you are already separated from the guy and it’s months later ! That’s a jerk move and it just shows this family doesn’t give a sh*t about anyone. Kim even made Humphries re-do his proposal because she didn’t like how she looked the first time he proposed. I’m glad Humphries spilled the beans on that scene in Bora Bora where Kim loses her diamond earring in the ocean and Kylie just happens to find it. He said the whole thing was fake ! Yet it’s one of the most iconic scenes they’ve ever had on the show lol.

Agree on all counts! I remember seeing a photo of her and Humphries at a beach, and it was a photo from behind of her in a bikini, and at the time I was just flabbergasted. Her butt was shaped SO weird. It must have settled somewhat after that. But yeah, her face looked great.
I feel bad for Kris Humphries. The guy really just wanted to go back to his career and be left alone. I can’t ever recall seeing him try to cash in on his past Kardashian connection.
I saw him at a bar in DC once when he was playing for the Wizards. Dude was minding his business and watching a football game. A drunk girl started yelling about the Kardashians when she saw him and he promptly paid his bill and left.
He didn’t want her to play second fiddle to him. He just wanted to be able to even I’ve into her house. She didn’t even want him to sleep in the same room because he was messing everything up. Plus they were rude to his family. I don’t see how he becomes the bad guy when Kim practically admits the wedding was for TV.
I don’t know what’s funnier- the way she’s shading Kris Humphries for not speaking to her (in front of her child while she’s pregnant, gasp! But seriously, why was that important?) while pretending she understands or that she thought being thought of as a runaway bride was worse than everyone knowing you let yourself be filmed being pissed on by your boyfriend and that’s literally the only reason you became famous in the first place.
She kind of admitted to marriage fraud though didn’t she? She said she went through with the wedding because it was being taped for the show. Humphries should have gone after the annulment if that’s what he wanted and could prove it was fraud. I don’t blame him for never wanting to talk to her again. I mean she got pregnant with North while still married to Humphries !

Kim must be the only kardashian to look worse after every cosmetic procedure. She peaked in 2007 when the show first started. She was stunning then, imagine if she kept that face. She’s gotten rid of any uniqueness to her look, to look like a bland ageing instagrammer .
Actually, I think most of these women who have multiple procedures look worse after each one. The lesson of cosmetic surgery seems to be to go to the best surgeons and have the minimum done each time. The Kardashians do neither.
I would disagree, though Khloe is looking not at all like the original, the one who I think has the most damage is actually Kylie. She is pretty-ish in an overly made up way, but she looks like a 40 year old woman.
She is, but only in still photos. Watching that video clip and Kylie looks like she just came back from the dentist and they froze her upper lip and it’s gone up into her nose. So strange, how does she eat or drink.?!?
Kim is always playing the victim, everything that happens to her is always someone else’s fault. Could Humphries’ reluctance to forgive or talk to Kim have something to do with the fact that Kim, Kris, and her sisters were leaking very negative stories about him to justify ending that marriage? There is a pattern. The Kardashians use everyone and when that person no longer serves their purpose, they move on and destroy that person’s reputation by leaking negative stories about them. The press allows them to do this and get away with it, why? Instead of making excuses and blaming Humphries yet again, perhaps Kim should just admit that she and her family used him and then moved on because she and her mother saw a much bigger fish that could get them access to places that Humphries could not and who they could easily manipulate by exploiting his mental illness, Kanye.
Kim says that she and Kanye would always be friends which should be a indication that it is Kim and Kris leaking stories about Kanye and Irina, after Kim speaks to Kayne.

The Kardashians owe a lot more to Ray J and Brandy. Didn’t Kim(she was Brandi’s personal stylist) and Khloe work for Brandy and made unauthorized charges?

He owes her nothing. Forgiveness is overrated. I don’t know anything about him, but I imagine he has moved on with his life and she should respect that and leave him alone.
I used to watch the show back then. After their wedding, she wanted out. She did not want to marry him. The wedding was sterile, all put on by momager for money and ratings. Kim married for several reasons, but none of those reasons were about love for Chris. They were staying in NYC with Courtney for a while after the marriage, and it was clear Kim was unhappy. I felt sorry for the guy, and I didn’t even like him.
And it has been said since that not only was his proposal to her filmed, but that he was made to redo the proposal for the cameras and getting everything right for the reality show.

I’m probably one of the few people who doesn’t feel remotely sympathetic to this guy. I always thought he was an unlikeable, crude misogynist who was using her fame but blatantly disrespected her in front of her friends and family. The way he dragged out their divorce was pure spite and after all these years, she shouldn’t give him another thought. This 72 day marriage will be the main thing he’ll be remembered for. Look back on the old Hollywood days, this story is not that unusual.
The press was saying at the time of the wedding she was using him and I was one of the few in America who gave her the benefit of the doubt. Now that she has become a billionaire and closed in on becomming an attorney she wants to be loved. Kim you destroyed this mans life. A public apology and claiming immaturity is not good enough for the hell you put this man through. If you are having regret – good it serves you right.
That aside there really ought to be a documentary or book about the teenaged women of the 90s. Kim, Paris, Lindsay Lohan, BRITTANY, Monica, etc. They are now all over 40 or pushing 40 and the resilience they’ve shown in the face of a lot of ugliness is extraordinary. They can call it Bad Girls only in America.
