Alexander Skarsgard doesn’t walk ‘True Blood’ red carpet with Kate Bosworth

Last night was the big third season premiere red carpet event for True Blood, and all of the stars and their significant others showed up. Even Alexander Skarsgard’s lady, Kate Bosworth, although in a strange move, Kate and Alex did not walk the red carpet together. Over the past few months, neither has seemed that perturbed by people taking their photo together, but as of yet, they have never walked a red carpet together. What does this mean?!? Does it mean that Alex doesn’t want people to know they’re together? That they’re trying to make some kind of Gwyneth-and-Chris, Garner-and-Affleck kind of point about not walking the red carpet? Because you know it was probably killing Kate. She loves to pose for photos, and you know she wanted to rub her smug face all over Alex in front of the cameras. I think it’s his move, don’t you? He was like, “Baby, why don’t you stay home tonight? No? Okay, well, I’m going to go off and do my own thing on the carpet.”

LaineyGossip says it’s a good move for Kate though – that now, Kate is officially “the girlfriend”. And my crush is officially gone now. Of course, my crush was pretty much over when these photos came out – of Kate and Alex in Palm Springs, with Kate posing her bony ass off for the paps. Yeah… that’s the sound of a crush dying. Oh, and Kate’s dress sucks too.

Alexander Skarsgard talks gay sex scenes, avoids talking about Kate Bosworth

wenn2820065

The way that Alexander Skarsgard looks in these photos makes me want to forgive him for dating that asshat Kate Bosworth. He looks amazing here, doesn’t he? These are photos from Alex’s appearance at the Tribeca Film Festival, where he was promoting Metropia, a odd-looking “animated dystopian thriller” which Alex did voice work for. People Magazine also scored the strangest red carpet interview with Alexander Skarsgard while he was at the premiere. They got him to talk about a “very graphic sex scene” he just shot with a dude on some film (must find), and his personal dating rules.

Alexander Skarsgard has a simple rule when it comes to dates: Focus on the girl, not the activity.

“I try not to plan it out,” the True Blood star, 33, told PEOPLE on Saturday at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of his new movie Metropia in New York. “It has a tendency to get a little stiff and contrived if you work on it too hard. So, I try to be spontaneous.”

But surely a girl will appreciate going to a big event like, say, the Coachella music festival?

“It’s not about what you do, but who you do it with – that’s most important,” says Skarsgard, who has been linked with his Straw Dogs costar Kate Bosworth. “If you are with someone who is awesome and having a good time, you can sit at a bus station and still have fun.”

Not only is Skarsgard spontaneous, he’s also comfortable in his own skin – a good thing, considering the amount of nudity on True Blood. The actor says he doesn’t mind removing his clothes, despite being teased about it occasionally by his five brothers and one sister.

“I’m not a prude at all,” he says. “I shot a very, very graphic scene two days ago with a man. I am from Sweden, and it’s different there. If it makes sense, I’ll just do it. And to me, so far, it’s made sense every single time I’ve got naked or made out on the show.”

One of Skarsgard’s favorite activities when he’s not on the set? Following the Hammarby soccer team from Stockholm, Sweden, where he grew up. “They are not very good but that’s my passion,” he says. “I try to go home a couple of times and go see them play … It’s a big thing for me.”

[From People]

So, is he talking about Kate Bosworth when he says stuff like “If you are with someone who is awesome and having a good time, you can sit at a bus station and still have fun”? Because Kate is not “awesome.” She’s the kind of girl who will call the paparazzi to tell them where she will be with her boyfriend, then put on her bikini and pose her ass off for them. Like this. Ted Casablanca at E! News was making a big deal about what Alex said, saying, “Anyone else noticing Skarsgård neglected to use a single pronoun there? Surely he’s talking about current squeeze Kate Bosworth. Right? So why all of a sudden so shy? The two were everything but sneaky at the Coachella festival the other weekend. Could it be there’s another special someone is Alexander’s life? Or just what we’ve been saying all along, Skarswood isn’t in it for the long haul. But have fun while it lasts, you two!” Eh. I think Alex and Kate are really dating, and that he really thinks she’s “awesome”. And that makes me sad for him. Poor Swede.

By the way, Juliette Lewis did voice work for Metropia too, and she was all over Alex at Tribeca. They totally make a cuter couple than he and The Bos.

Alex Skarsgard pulls a Sparkles Pattinson in VMAN

alex2

The more I know about Alexander Skarsgard, the less I like him. That wasn’t always the case – he used to seem so nice, so friendly, so generous to his fans. And then he got sucked into the abyss of Kate Bosworth, and now he’s fighting with paparazzi and posing for “candid” pool photos with Bosworth, and he’s pretty much dead to many of us. So I come to these VMAN photos with jaded eyes. Where I once would have seen a fabulous Swede looking delicious, I know see a dude who is trying too hard to be a pouty Vesty McSparklepants.

alex1

It is very Robert Pattinson, isn’t it? I think it’s the hair, mostly. Here’s a similar photo of Sparkles:

This is jacked Sparkle-hair, circa Spring/Summer 2009. Anyway, VMAN sent us all of these nice photos and wanted us to note that this, issue 18, is “The Scandinavian Issue.” Skarsgard was photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, and styled by Michael Philouze. I’m including a scan of the text of the interview, but I can barely read it at all, I’m sorry.

Is Alexander Skarsgard hot enough to weather Kate Bosworth?

vman

Here’s Alexander Skarsgard on the cover of the summer issue of VMAN Magazine. The man does look good in a tux! But is that enough of a reason to keep loving Alexander Skarsgard? Because he starting to really stink of Kate Bosworth’s stank. There’s been too many photos of the two of them lately – I’m starting to fear that Alex is completely in her trap. “Trap” = “vadge of doom”. From spending the last few days looking through photos of Alex and Kate, you can just tell she loves every minute of the attention she’s getting with Alex. She even seemed to get turned on when Alex got into some drunken altercation with a paparazzo at Coachella. Maybe she really is getting some auditions off of this relationship? Could be.

Us Weekly and some other outlets have some new photos of Kate and Alex in Palm Springs – he’s shirtless and she’s flaunting her too-thin body in a bikini. It looks like a classic Bosworth photo-op, honestly. Anyway, even though we should have access to the pics, we don’t have them yet, but you can see them at Pop Sugar. Be prepared… they are gross. She’s all “Look at me, my anorexic body is so f-cking hot.” And Alex is all “Mm… why are you only facing the cameras? Why are you posing like that?”

Here are some additional photos of Alex and that bitch at Coachella:

Alex Skarsgard in altercation with police at Coachella

39609pcn_skarsgard14

Alex Skarsgard is still with that bitch Kate Bosworth. They were at Coachella over the weekend, and Kate made sure they were photographed the whole time. You know what pisses me off? Many of the photo agencies are describing Alex as “the actor boyfriend of Kate Bosworth”. Like he isn’t known for anything else – like they couldn’t say “True Blood hunk” or “famous sexy Swede”. Anyway, shock of all shocks, the paparazzi were taking lots of photos of Kate and Alex, and at one point Alex got into some kind of altercation with a photographer. Alex had to be “restrained” by a police officer, and of course other paps got the photos. They even got a photo of Alex’s clenched fist, and of him making a really dumb face (I have no idea what he’s doing there, but it’s not very attractive). In the end, no one was arrested. Here’s more:

39609PCN_Skarsgarrd

True Blood star Alexander Skarsgaard was restrained by police during Saturday’s Coachella Music Festival, in Indio, Calif., according to a report.

Pacific Coast News reports the 33-year-old actor was photographed being held back by a police officer, fists clenched, after he became angered by a paparazzo taking shots of Skarsgard and rumored girlfriend Kate Bosworth.

Skarsgard was calmed down by the officer before the situation escalated and no arrests were reported.

Earlier in the evening, Skarsgard was spotted giving Bosworth, 27, clad in a blue tie-dye print halter dress, a ride on his shoulders.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival concludes Sunday.

[From Us Weekly]

Alex is known as an extremely easy-going guy, so I have no idea what happened. I have two guesses, and they are not mutually exclusive: one, Alex might have been drunk or stoned, and that’s why he wasn’t his normal easy-going self, or two, the paparazzi were truly annoying him, in which case Alex should talk to his girlfriend, who has always been one of the B-list celebrities who are rumored to call the paps on themselves. I mean, it wasn’t Kate Bosworth who was looking annoyed. She’s probably going to get some auditions from this incident, and being seen with Alex.

Ugh. Alex really needs to dump her.

Who is the sexiest: Stephen Moyer, Ryan Kwanten or Alex Skarsgard?

hot1

CB already covered part of this, just because she’s a True Blood fan girl, and who doesn’t love a good photo of a sweaty Alexander Skarsgard? Anyway, Details finally unveiled the complete trio of True Blood covers, plus additional photos of hotties Skarsgard, Stephen Moyer and Ryan Kwanten, plus big interviews with all three men.

Since I don’t watch True Blood and I’m really not invested in knowing if these dudes have good personalities, I only skimmed the interview (complete piece here). Alexander comes off like a sweetheart, as always, and very humble and down-to-earth. Stephen Moyer sounds a little haughty, a little naughty, and like he’s probably a lot of fun, and probably really good in bed. And Ryan Kwanten, who I knew nothing about before today, comes across sort of interesting. But it’s like he’s trying to prove that he’s not a “meathead” as his character his described. He’s trying a little hard, but maybe with someone else, it would be cute. What is fascinating to me that we have a Swede, an Englishman and an Aussie who have all found fame on an American television show about vampires and sex. It’s weird, right?

In the end, I didn’t find anything fascinating in the interviews, but the photos are killing me, so I thought I’d do a little caption game for them, just for fun:

Alex: “This is how I will look when I’m about to go down on you!”

hot3

Ryan: “No, I’m not Ryan Reynolds. Stop f-cking asking me that.”

hot5

Ryan: “Would you still think I’m a meathead if I took off my pants?”

hot6

Stephen: “Bales of hay turn me on.”

hot9

Stephen: “Imagine this sand is your vagina.”

Alexander Skarsgard is delicious on the cover of Details

DECVR00202UK0
True Blood hottie Alex Skarsgard works the hell out of a white T-Shirt as one of the cover boys of the upcoming issue of Details Magazine. Two alternate covers include Ryan Kwanten and Stephen Moyer. What about Sam Trammel, Nelsan Ellis and Mehcad Brooks? Unfortunately Details has only released the cover with Alex, and we’ll have to wait and see what Ryan and Stephen look like. (Socialite Life had advance copies, but has since removed them.)

The beefcake men of True Blood aren’t coming back to grace our television sets until June! It’s a big tease, but I think I can handle it. All I have to do is picture Skarsgard with Kate Bosworth and my frustration level goes down.

Details hasn’t released excerpts online and they told us they’ll have the other covers and article available at noon EST, at which point we’ll update this post or run another one. We’ll have to make due with this pictorial for the time being, and it’s plenty. There’s also more on Details.com.

Alexander Skarsgard is “flattered” that we’re stalking him

wenn5442744

Mm… these are some new photos of Alexander Skarsgård yesterday in Los Angeles. He’s pretty when he smiles, isn’t he? Anyway, Alex sat down for a killer profile in the LA Times recently (photos below, full article here), and he pretty much impressed everyone with how down-to-earth he is. As the LAT explains: “He showed up sans entourage, parking his own car in the same lot as the crew. His outrageous on-set demand? A cup of coffee, please. Oh, and he volunteered to be his own stand-in for lighting setup.” So, he’s actually a nice guy. Let’s hear more:

as3

Leslie Gornstein: I would imagine that playing a vampire these days is almost like plunging into a major franchise like Star Trek or Star Wars—the scrutiny and adoration just go off the scale. What do you think it is about vampires, anyway?
Alexander Skarsgård: People are kind of intrigued because they represent immortality. And a character like Eric has been around for a thousand years. All that wisdom and experience—you carry it around with you. That’s attractive. What makes vampires a platform for good drama is they’re also lethal. Eric is an animal. He’s on that edge where you don’t know if he will turn and kill you in a second.

You filmed both an American film, Straw Dogs, and the Swedish film Puss—known stateside as Trust Me—during your latest hiatus. You’ve also said you never want to stop doing Swedish cinema. Tell me about that.
It’s not about if it’s a Swedish project or an American one. For me, it’s about the quality of the material, who the filmmaker is and if there’s something in the script or the character that gets me excited. I need that to get my creativity going.

Straw Dogs and Puss are so different. One is a reimagining of a Sam Peckinpah classic, and the other’s an indie. Why those two?
I shot Straw Dogs with Rod Lurie, who directed The Contender and [the TV series] Commander in Chief. We had a meeting, and I found the project very interesting. Puss—that’s Swedish for “kiss”—without a doubt was a film that excited me. It was directed by Johan Kling, who directed a movie called Darling three years ago—a beautiful little film about a woman and an older man and their friendship against all odds. When he called and asked if I wanted to be in his next movie, I said, “Absolutely.” I want to be able to do different characters, different projects, work in different languages. Doing Straw Dogs and Puss simultaneously and then going back to True Blood? That kept me on my toes.

And on a plane, from what I understand.
Oh yes, I flew back and forth between Shreveport, Louisiana, and this tiny island on the Baltic Sea. It was a bit of a nightmare, because it took, like, 23 hours to get from one place to another. And then as soon as I landed, I had to go straight from airport to studio to work for another 14 hours. I probably aged about 20 years doing that.

But so many actors require time to transition between characters, prepare themselves, really sink into a role.
I agree. Ideally, I would have gone back to Sweden, chilled out for a week or so, gotten into focus, but this was the only way we could work things out. I prepared for both projects before they started, then got as much sleep as possible on the planes.

Apparently, the paparazzi have shots of you going to the movies by yourself. Rising Hollywood idols don’t go anywhere by themselves—don’t you watch Entourage?
I’m not a “Hollywood” actor. I am a social guy, but I’m not one of those actors who will show up to a shoot with 15 agents and managers and publicists. An entourage like that just makes me uncomfortable.

On quitting acting: “We don’t have, like, Hollywood moms and dads in Sweden the way you do here, where it’s a profession for kids. It’s not that big of an industry there, and my parents never pushed me. It can be really, really tough being a child actor. A lot of them have huge problems growing up. I didn’t like being famous when I was 13. I didn’t like people recognizing me. I told my parents I didn’t want to do it anymore, and they both said, “It’s a tough job, and if you feel like there’s something out there you’d rather do, do that. Only become an actor if you feel like you don’t have a choice.” My father is an actor. I didn’t have a plan for what I wanted to do, I just wasn’t comfortable doing that anymore.

What made you come back?
I missed it—being onstage or in front of a camera. I thought, All right, I’m 20 now instead of 13. Maybe I’m a little different from how I was seven years ago, and I owe it to myself to try it now, and at least I can dismiss it if I’m still not comfortable. I will know for sure, and I can move on. But it was just like my father said: I felt like I didn’t have an option.

I see there are “Mrs. Skarsgård” mugs available for purchase on one of your fan sites. Flattering or unnerving?
Oh no, I am flattered by it. So very flattered. In order for me to stay sane, though, I try to mostly stay away from the fan sites, the blogs and the Twitterers.

Skarsgårdians, actually. So then if there’s someone out there who’s tweeting as Alexander Skarsgård, it’s not you?
It’s not me.

At age 23—according to one interview you did way back when—your idol was Eddie Izzard, your favorite movie was Duck Soup and your favorite book was Angela’s Ashes. Care to update?
Well, I am still a huge fan of Eddie Izzard, so I probably did say that. I was pretty obsessed with him back in the day. And Duck Soup, yeah, that’s still up there as well. As kids, my brothers and I had VHS tapes of all these Marx Brothers movies, and on Sunday mornings we would get up and make nonalcoholic egg toddies. Do you have those here?

Nogs?
No, toddies. Basically we cracked open, like, six eggs and put them in a blender with about two tons of sugar. Then we would mix it up and watch the Marx Brothers.

In that same interview, you did a little doodle of a man with stringy hair and a long, picklelike nose. Who was that?
[Laughs.] I don’t actually remember, but, knowing me, it was probably me.

[From The LA Times]

Sigh… so lovely. Would you like to know something even more ridiculously mind-blowingly sexy? He trained as an anti-terrorist marine in Sweden. Apparently he “practiced battle tactics, combat and anti-sabatoge assaults.” And he probably wore a uniform. And he looked really f-cking hot doing it. He told The Telegraph (via NYDN) that “I hated it most of the time, because a lot of the guys I served with wanted to be James Bond. I was a hippie. But it was good for me. [I can still] strip a gun and that sort of thing… [but] People don’t shoot us, so you can’t really… I never left Sweden. Our last war was 200 years ago.” Now I can’t stop thinking about Alex “stripping a gun”. Mm…

Kate Bosworth allegedly playing hard to get with Alexander Skarsgard

Spike TV's Scream 2009 - Show
Betty Confidential reports that Kate Bosworth is supposedly driving True Blood hottie Alexander Skarsgard mad by playing hard to get. Kate has probably slept with the Swedish hunk, but she’s allegedly not always available for him and is coy about her ability to commit. Isn’t that how you’re supposed to play it in the beginning stages of a relationship? This story contradicts an earlier report from Eonline (via Lainey Gossip) that had Bosworth barely getting any attention from Skarsgard and cornering him at a party. Maybe she realized that she needed to switch it up if she wanted to keep him on the hook.

Even though she feels like she’s ready for a relationship — Kate dated actor Orlando Bloom from 2002 to 2006 and model James Rousseau for three years until they split last year — “she worries Alex is a playboy,” says the source, adding that “every girl is love struck when they meet him.”

So Kate’s trying to keep her distance. “She’s focusing more on her career than Alex’s flirting,” says the source but it’s difficult considering the two are currently shooting the remake of the ’70s thriller Straw Dogs. Even when they’re not working together, “Alex texts and calls Kate all the time. He’s trying every trick in the book.” The 33-year-old Swedish native, who was recently linked to his True Blood co-star Evan Rachel Wood, “really likes Kate and enjoys her company,” says the insider and he will do whatever it takes to win her over.

And it looks like his persistence may be paying off. “Alex tells her, ‘I’m not giving up’ and that she’s the only one for him,” reveals the source. “It’s getting harder and harder for Kate just to be friends.”

[From Betty Confidential]

I feel like this could be leaked by Kate’s camp to make her look less desperate after she said she adored Alexander Skarsgard and called him a “wonderful, wonderful man.” She didn’t confirm a relationship but she could have been less ebullient if she wanted to play it off like she didn’t care. So now she’s playing hard to get and Skarsgard is all over her? It could happen, and if this is the case I have to give the little thing credit for keeping that gorgeous man interested. Damn her.

Kate Bosworth smirks: “I adore Alexander Skarsgard”

wenn5427403

I feel like Kate Bosworth is trying to hypnotize me with her crack eyes. I mean, “her normal eyes that have never even seen a crack pipe.” Anyway, these are some new photos of Kate Bosworth at the Chanel event that was honoring Vanessa Paradis. Which, for me, draws the inevitable comparisons, to which I can only say that Kate Bosworth wishes she was anywhere as cool as Vanessa Paradis. Like, Vanessa sneezes out cooler stuff than Kate Bosworth. For real. And look at Vanessa’s face – she knows it.

wenn5427406

Anyway, I started writing this just as a “hey, what’s going on with Kate Bosworth these days?” story, but I can see that Lainey Gossip already raged on her. I was also going to mention that it doesn’t seem like those rumors of an affair with Chris Martin (Gwyneth Paltrow’s husband) rocked Kate’s boat at all. Kate never even publicly denied the hookup took place, Chris never did sue Star Magazine for their story, and Goopy just put her nose in the air and pretended to be The Duchess of Constipation. So, yeah, Kate came out of it okay. Okay enough to act like Goop The Lesser as she smirk-posed her way through a red carpet for Chanel.

There is this though – People Magazine asked Kate about her alleged relationship/hookup with Alexander Skarsgard. Kate snots out “we are very good friends” and said that she “adores him.” BITCH.

Kate Bosworth and True Blood hunk Alexander Skarsgard will be steaming up the big screen in the upcoming remake of the ’70s thriller Straw Dogs, but off screen she says they’re simply close pals, despite rumors of being romantically linked for months.

“We are very good friends,” Bosworth told PEOPLE Tuesday at a Chanel dinner in New York honoring Vanessa Paradis for Rouge Coco lipstick. “He’s a wonderful, wonderful man. I adore him.”

Bosworth, 27, and Skarsgard, 33, met last year while filming in Shreveport, La., and were spotted together last week at Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont, where she gave him a quick smooch on the lips. Still, she remained coy when pressed about their relationship status.

“That’s a minefield, man! I’m not stepping into that,” she said. “I’ve learned too well from being on that road.”

One thing that’s for certain is that Bosworth’s vampire friend looks for a sense of humor in a woman. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, the blonde beauty admits she’s a romantic, but says she likes to celebrate love every day.

“I feel like it’s one of those holidays that is a little too loaded. It has too much pressure involved,” said Bosworth. “But for me, if you love somebody you say it to them every day and don’t need a day for it. It’s the little things like that I love.”

[From People]

Oh, for goodness sake. “That’s a minefield, man! I’m not stepping into that. I’ve learned too well from being on that road.” Um, when was the last time someone really gave a crap who Kate was dating? It was when she was with Orlando Bloom, right? And was the mild interest that was focused on them as a couple so intense and laser-like that she found it overwhelming? And she says it like she’s Jessica Simpson or something, always on the cover of magazines, having her relationships dissected. I really, really hoped that Alexander Skarsgard wouldn’t be down with her crap, but I think he’s probably still hittin’ it. But he wants to keep on the downlow, probably.
