LaineyGossip just put up the BEST video ever. Well, certainly one of the best things ever. Katy Perry’s boobs have taken up too much time in the ongoing conversation as to what is and is not appropriate to show our children. While I agree with Sesame Street’s decision to not air the Katy Perry boobtastic bit, what will be said about Colin Farrell’s appearance. True, he’s not flashing any body parts (God, I wish). But he’s still bringing the hotness and the sex appeal as he and his f-cking sexy brogue talk about “investigate.” Watch this and tell me if you don’t squeal a little when Colin fake-laughs at Elmo.
I’ve watched this twice now and he’s still f-cking delicious. Colin Farrell: Too hot for our children, even when he’s fully clothed? It’s not about clothes with some people – Colin would be wearing a burqa, but as long as you still heard that voice and his little cocky, sexy way of speaking, it would be erotic. Katy Perry needs to show her boobs, because that’s all she has, her faux-childish sex appeal (which is really wrong, isn’t it?).
Colin told TV Squad that appearing on the Street was “one of the highlights” of his career. He tells the site: “We did a scene with a couple of talking carrots and sh-t. … It was genius!” LMAO. F-ck me, I LOVE him.
UPDATE: Whoops! CB already covered this in her Katy Perry post earlier today. My bad! Oh, well, Colin deserves his own post. No Colin in this week’s HGF, so enjoy him while you can.
A lot of people were outraged at Katy Perry’s Sesame Street segment, in which she sang a cute kid-friendly version of “Hot and Cold” with Elmo. Katy’s very low-cut lime colored mini dress wasn’t kid-friendly though, and showed way too much cleavage for a kid’s show. Personally I didn’t find it offensive and I would have let my kid see it. We live in Germany and are ok with our child seeing nudity as long as it’s presented in a matter-of-fact way that is not sexual. This was just some cleavage so it wouldn’t have bothered me if my kid watched it. But I really understand why other parents would want to make sure their kids never saw this, and why it’s such an issue that a show aimed at preschoolers would have inappropriate content.
As Kaiser mentioned in our earlier coverage Katy’s boobs weren’t sexy necessarily and were just there. Still, she should have worn something with more coverage for a kids show. While Katy may be too dumb to realize that she needs to put it away around kids, someone from Sesame Street should have stepped in and made sure this never happened. It looks like they’ve taken care of that and are promising parents that this clip will never appear on the show. Poor half-dressed Katy is crying into Russell’s furry chest now. “I just wanted to play dress up!”
Katy shot a segment for the show — which was supposed to air on New Year’s Eve — in which she sings a cleaned-up version of her song, “Hot N Cold” with Elmo.
The song made its way to YouTube Monday and racked up nearly a million views. But some parents started complaining her cleavage was too front and center. We’ve learned producers have decided not to air the song on the show.
Among the parental comments:
– “You can practically see her t*ts. That’s some wonderful children’s programming.”
– “they’re gonna have to rename it cleavage avenue”
– “my kid wants milk now”
Fact is … what looks like Katy’s bare chest is actually covered in flesh-colored mesh that goes all the way to her neck.
Sesame Street producers did the right thing. The “flesh colored mesh” that TMZ mentions is see through and it’s like she’s not covered at all. It’s not like it makes any difference.
Let’s move on to another attempt by Sesame Street to bring in pop culture to get parents to tune in. They made a parody of True Blood with a segment called “True Mud.” In this case the content does seem suitable for kids, with plenty of cute rhyming words and no references to vampires, werewolves, blood sucking, or head-twisting. It’s cute and they did a nice job with it. Here’s the clip:
And Colin Farrell is teaching kids the definition of “investigate” on the season premiere of Sesame Street. I would like to investigate his boxer shorts. I don’t think Colin Farrell is appropriate for moms to watch around their kids at all. He just oozes sex.
So, here’s a question – does Colin Farrell think that country-western styles are in right now? Because that mustache doesn’t make sense. He’s not filming a western, he’s not doing a western-themed photo shoot (as far as I can make out). I think he just likes this. The hat, the mustache, the “Brad Pitt in The Assassination of Jesse James” style. Like, Hollywood western. Anyway, this was Colin and his girl/baby-mama Alicja last night at the Tribeca premiere of Ondine, the film where they met and fell in love. Alicja looks great, as usual, but also like, “I don’t get his style either, but look at what I’m rocking.” That’s Neil Jordan, the director of Ondine (and The End of the Affair and The Crying Game, amongst others) beside them.
Here’s the trailer for Ondine. I think it looks really good – like a depressing Splash:
Look at this closeup of Alicja’s face. It’s kind of mesmerizing. She’s so pretty, even when she’s rolling her eyes.
Here are some other photos of the two of them posing together. Why does Colin look so over it? Don’t dump her Colin!
Colin Farrell has a gay brother. His name is Eamon (above), and Eamon is his older brother, and he recently married his long-time boyfriend Steven in Canada – because Ireland doesn‘t let gay couples marry (although Eamon and Steven had some kind of wedding celebration in Ireland). Colin was Eamon’s best man! Which is really cool, I think. Anyway, Colin has always been pretty vocal about his love of his gay brother, and his support of gay rights and LGBT tolerance and acceptance in general. Now Colin is working with an Irish LGBT rights group called BeLonG To (BLGT – I guess in Ireland they mix up the acronym from the American “lesbian, gay, bisexual & transgendered”). Colin is working with a special campaign, the Belong To Young Service’s STAND UP! Campaign, which is about teaching tolerance and acceptance of LGBT kids, and to help stop the bullying of LGBT kids. Colin wrote an open letter for the Belong To website, and I just love Colin even more now – he talks a lot about being a kid and seeing his brother bullied and beaten for simply being honest about who he was:
“I can’t remember much about the years of physical and emotional abuse my brother Eamon suffered. I was very small. The thing I do remember though, quite literally, is blood on his school shirt when he came home in the afternoon. The beatings and taunting were very frequent for my him and a constant part of his school years. I didn’t understand at that time the concept of ‘difference’. Back then, as now, he was just my big brother. If I did understand what difference was I understood it in the most pure and unaffected childlike way. To me then, as a child, difference meant being left out. Joy and laughter came with being included, being embraced , and BELONGING to.
People are often afraid of difference. They feel that anything that causes fear, should be turned away from. My brother represented fear for so many people, but caused joy in my life. From a very young age he made me laugh with his intelligence and wit, made me aspire to his strength and goodness. He was to be embraced. To many of the students of his school however he was to be feared. He was to be turned away from. I didn’t understand it then, and I still don’t know.
As a race we humans are united and divided by emotions. The mother and father of all emotions, the queen and king are love and fear. Love unites, it brings us closer to an understanding of the possibility of beauty amidst all the confusion and pain that life can bring. Hate is a disease. It is fear’s messenger and it makes us do terrible things in a shadow of our better selves, of what we could be.
Intolerance is not genetically encoded – it is taught. It is learned at home. It is learned in the classrooms and it is learned anywhere else we gather as a group. But it is usually learned early and added onto from there. If there is nothing to feared, there is nothing to hate. If there is nothing to hate there is no pain.
My brother was so forceful in standing up for who he was, and for the good that he knew was inside of him. Many people missed out on an opportunity, not only to enjoy him, but to enjoy themselves by embracing his “difference”. They missed out because they saw him as a threat – not as a testament to the kaleidoscope and diversity of this beautiful world.
Bullying is torture, it is another betrayal of basic human decency and its scars reach way into the future of its survivors. But the saddest truth is that not all children survive it. It is a potentially fatal societal illness and must be respected and not feared. Respected and dealt with as a very real problem and as an adversary of a potentially harmonious world, that should have no place for bullies or bullying.”
I am of the generation who remembers the Matthew Shepard murder, and the national coverage it received, vividly – Shepard was only a few years older than me, and he was murdered when he was in college, and when I was in college too. I really believe that one incident shaped a lot of people’s perspectives on violence against the LGBT community, although crimes against LGBT kids and adults still occur with startling frequency in this country and abroad. The statistics I found indicate that violence against LGBT kids and adults has been on the rise over the past decade, and as gay rights becomes an even more hot-button issue in the political landscape, more hate crimes will likely be committed in the coming decades. So…it’s great to see Colin do his part to speak out and draw attention to such an important cause, and one that he’s so personally involved with.
Here’s Lindsay Lohan busting her way into one of the Golden Globe after-parties. I guess there wasn’t a sex toy launch to be found in LA? Or perhaps Lindsay thinks she’s relevant enough to be invited to a Golden Globe party? Lindsay wore a sparkly Brian Lichtenberg cocktail dress with its own attached hood, which… I guess we’ll be seeing from Ungaro or Lindsay’s “clothing line” any minute now. Us Weekly notes that Lindsay “held court at the bar before taking her drink to a table of friends.” Meanwhile, Holy Moly makes it seem like Lindsay was perhaps uninvited to the bash:
Now, obviously the only award that Lindsay Lohan’s Labor Pains will be up for this season is the Golden Raspberry (although she might have a future hit on her hands if that sex tapes manages to get a release), but that didn’t stop her sneaking into the pre and post Golden Globes parties over the weekend…
Despite the fact that she’s meant to be showing her second collection for Unagro in Paris next month, Lindsay has been keeping busy in Hollywood, trying to remind her old acting pals that she exists and making alleged one-time shag Colin Farrell squirm as she gurned in his direction and gave him a glimpse of what might have been had he not cleaned up his act.
Having said all that, Lindsay with hood = big improvement. Compared to the previous night anyway – Fleiss is out the CBB house now and ready to get her look back (and pass back to Pete Burns), Lilo.
In other Lindsay news, it seems she and Colin Farrell had an “awkward encounter” in LA over the weekend. This whole story comes from an “eyewitness account” from one of The Daily Mirror’s gossip columnists, who claimed to be in the restaurant for this embarrassing story:
There was a time when Colin Farrell and Lindsay Lohan were just about on a par in the hellraiser stakes. They both partied hard, didn’t care who saw and were even said to have enjoyed a night of passion back in 2004 at the Chateau Marmont hotel in LA.
So you can only imagine my delight when they both walked in separately to enjoy dinner in the beautiful garden at Chateau within spitting distance from my table.
But while these days Colin’s a proud father-of-two, clean and sober and settled down with his Polish actress partner Alicja Bachleda-Curus – Lindsay has only intensified her hard-partying ways.
Colin showed up first for a business meeting and gushed about his three-month old son Henry, saying: “He’s just amazing. Having two babies is amazing. Life couldn’t be better right now.”
Within 20 minutes a crazy-eyed Lindsay Lohan, her even scarier crazy-eyed mother Dina and a pal arrived at a nearby table and got stuck into vodka and wine.
I watched as Colin turned his chair and kept his head down, hoping not to be noticed. It was OK – until Lindsay started to work the room. The fallen actress spied Colin over her shoulder as she was saying hello to stylist Rachel Zoe – and said: “Oh, s**t!” and ran back to her table.
Lindsay then told mum Dina – who gulps wine like her life depends on it: “Have you seen who’s over there? It’s f***ing Colin.”
Dina replied: “I know – just turn your chair round.”
Li-Lo kept her back to him, but Colin made sure he wouldn’t have to bump into the drunken Lohan table – leaving by another exit.
A handful of years ago Lindsay was a star that commanded great attention – but sadly the entire restaurant was looking at her with pity in their eyes.
Good Lord. That does sound like they had sex once, didn’t it? I’ve actually lived that scene before, and I’ve never even been close to the train wreck-level of a Lohan. So, it actually makes me have some sympathy for both Colin and Lindsay. I mean, she could have done something really embarrassing, like gone over to him and tried to flirt or something. I’m not going to bash her for ignoring him. Sounds reasonable!
Maybe I’m just too emotional, or maybe I was just having an off-day when I read this, but this article made me cry. It seems Colin Farrell was “caught” spending Christmas day at an Irish hospital (specifically, Crumlin, Ireland), hanging out with sick kids and bringing them cool presents like Ninetendo Wiis. The Irish Herald also notes that Colin “has carried out similarly unheralded visits to Crumlin for the past few years.” Oh, but that’s not all. It seems that since Colin’s oldest son, James, was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome, Colin has been something of a tireless (yet under-the-radar) supporter of the Special Olympics. Here’s more:
KIND-HEARTED new dad Colin Farrell paid a secret visit to sick children in Our Lady’s Hospital, Crumlin, on Christmas Day. The In Bruges actor played and chatted with children for several hours on Christmas Day and also brought them presents. And it wasn’t his first festive visit — he has carried out similarly unheralded visits to Crumlin for the past few years.
“He keeps a low profile when he comes in. He doesn’t want photographers or anything,” a well-placed source told the Herald about the actor’s visits. He comes in every Christmas Day and spends a lot of time with the children.”
“He has bought Nintendo DS and Wiis for them and plays with them for a couple of hours,” the source added. “He’s really popular with the staff and really genuine, and the kids really love and appreciate his visit.”
The actor, who recently became a father for the second time to baby son Henry, does not want to court any publicity when visiting patients. And back in 2003, Colin (33) helped support the Special Olympics which was hosted then in Ireland.
Since then, he has been a tireless campaigner for the cause, regularly giving up any free time he has to help the organization with their activities and further raise their profile. Much of Colin’s spare time is spent in Los Angeles, so he can be with his six-year-old son James, who suffers from the rare, neuro-genetic condition, Angelman Syndrome.
Colin often credits little James, who lives with his model mum Kim Bordenave, with saving his life thanks to the positive influence he has held over his father since he was born.
The award-winning actor spent Christmas at home this year, and brought elder son James (6) to enjoy festivities in their father’s native area of Castleknock. Baby Henry, who was born in October, is also believed to have made the trip.
A source close to the former hell-raiser has confirmed how the actor will be jetting home with his girlfriend Alicja Bachleda (26) and their tiny tot on Christmas Eve.
“Colin’s a real family-orientated guy and nearly always makes it back for Christmas anyway, no matter how busy he is with his filming schedule, but this year it will be extra-special thanks to his new baby.”
Now we know why Colin Farrell still makes panties drop wherever he goes. Because in his heart, he’s a good boy. He plays at being the bad boy to great effect, but I really have no doubt that he’s a very sweet, considerate, lovely man. Sigh… okay, I’m overly-emotional for crying while reading this, right? I love Colin. I want him to be happy. I want him to make good movies and win awards and stay sober and be a great dad. That’s the Colin I’m seeing now.

Since it’s a slow day, I thought I’d show off some new photos of Colin Farrell and his son James. Colin and James were in Ireland over the holidays to celebrate Colin’s brother’s wedding. Eamon, the brother, had married his partner Steven in Canada (because there’s no marriage for the gays in Ireland), and Steve and Eamon decided to do a big, fancy wedding reception in Dublin. The rumor going around a few months ago was that Colin was his brother’s best man, but I’ve never seen any photos from the actual ceremony, so I have no idea. I bet it’s true. I also haven’t seen any photos of Colin’s girlfriend and baby-mama Alicja, so I have no idea if she was in Ireland too. That would be my guess, but I may be wrong.
Anyway, how cute is Colin? I’m ambivalent towards the sketchy mustache, but otherwise, he’s looking really cute. He probably was feeling hassled because I doubt he wants his son photographed. But this isn’t the first time photographers have gotten a glimpse at James, so maybe it’s not that big of a deal. James is Colin’s son with Kim Bordenave, and James has Angelman Syndrome, a neurological disorder. Colin has spoken about James a few times, and it’s really cool that Colin got to spend time with his oldest son and with his brother on Eamon’s special day.
Meanwhile, in other Colin news, did anyone know that Colin is in Crazy Heart? Crazy Heart is the little film starring Jeff Bridges as a down-on-his-luck country singer. I hadn’t been paying attention to it, but Bridges is picking up a lot of critics’ notice and several big award nominations, so Crazy Heart could be a sleeper success. Anyway, Colin is in it, playing Bridges’ protégé and country-music successor. Colin sings in the film! Crazy Heart‘s producer, Judy Caro gave an interview to E! about Colin’s under-the-radar appearance:
Just when we thought Colin Farrell couldn’t get any hotter, we find out he can sing. Not only does the Irish hunkster do his own singing playing a country music star in the much-buzzed-about Crazy Heart, but he actually has a pretty darn good voice, too.
“No one had heard him sing until he recorded with [composer and producer] T-Bone, but we assumed if he took the role that he probably could pull it off or he wouldn’t have accepted the role,” Crazy Heart producer Judy Cairo told us last night at the movie’s L.A. premiere. “His agent didn’t even know he could sing.”
In one scene, Farrell and Bridges sing together onstage at the Journal Pavilion in Albuquerque, N.M. “They both have great voices,” Cairo said. “In fact, it was Colin’s second day working with us and we brought him in and threw him onstage in front of 12,000 people and said, ‘Sing!’ He was a trouper. He did an amazing job.”
But don’t go looking for Farrell’s name in the credits. He asked that his name be left out. Not only did filmmakers want his appearance to be a surprise, but Farrell “also didn’t want to take the spotlight off of Jeff,” Cairo said. “Obviously this is Jeff’s movie and…if Colin was more in front of it, Jeff would have to share the spotlight a little bit. He wanted to give kudos and credit to Jeff.”
And we can attest to that. We’ve seen the movie. If Bridges doesn’t get an Oscar nomination then there’s something seriously wrong in this world.
“I don’t want to count any chickens,” Bridges told us, “but it’s great to get these good reviews we’ve been getting. This film doesn’t have the millions of dollars to spend on promotions, so it’s great that we’re getting the film out there.”
Damn, that’s really cool that Colin was like “Just make this about The Dude, Jeff Bridges, man.” Although I suspect part of it was that Colin didn’t feel like going on a publicity tour for the film, it’s still a very rare thing for an actor of Colin’s caliber to ask for his name to be taken off the credits and everything. That’s amazing!
I found some fan footage of Colin and Jeff Bridges singing together on stage for the film, and below that is the official trailer for Crazy Heart. You can see Colin for a split second in two little cutaways. He looks good!

Here are new photos of Colin Farrell and his girlfriend Alicja Bachleda-Curus heading out on a little Mexican vacation. Fame Pictures notes that Alicja and Colin boarded a plane at LAX without their 7-week-old baby Henry Tadeusz. And there’s no sign of Henry in the Mexico pictures either, which leads me to believe that Papa Colin and Mama Alicja needed a few nights away from the little rugrat, and probably left him in the care of some nanny or family member. Fame Pictures asks: “The two lovebirds look primed to escape from their stressful celebrity lives for a vacation, but is it irresponsible to be apart from their new baby so early in his development?” I think if it’s just for a few days, it’s fine. Who cares, as long as the baby is cared for by someone responsible? It’s not even like babies do anything interesting at that age, you know? But that’s just me, being a non-mother (happily so).
While on vacation, Alicja and Colin seemed to just be chilling out, not doing much of anything besides eating and smoking and looking at stuff through binoculars. Which actually sounds like a really great vacation to me. My guess is that they’re also spending some time in bed. Ten bucks says Alicja gets knocked up again in about two seconds. There’s a reason they’re called Irish twins.
That’s about it. I guess there wasn’t anything to that story about Colin and Janet Jackson. Or maybe there was and Alicja just didn’t care. Oh, and Alicja kills me. Can you believe she just had a baby? She was back to skinny two seconds after giving birth. She kills me. Colin too. I love him.

We never did a follow-up on that story about Colin Farrell’s girlfriend giving birth to a son. Well, it ended up being confirmed weeks after Alicja Bachleda gave birth, on October 7. They named the little boy Henry Tadeusz Farrell. Henry is Colin’s second son – he also is father to 6-year-old James Padraig Farrell, with model Kim Bordenave.
Since the confirmation at the beginning of the month, Colin hasn’t been saying or doing anything. He hasn’t indicated whether he and Alicija will marry, he hasn’t given some glowing interview to People Magazine. He’s been so quiet, I almost forgot about him. But then Entertainment Tonight put this up yesterday… and it’s weird. Colin and Janet Jackson? Seriously?
An unlikely celebrity couple may be emerging! ET’s special source spotted Janet Jackson warming up to actor and ladies’ man Colin Farrell.
The two were seen last week sitting side by side in a booth at the renowned Polo Lounge located in the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Jackson performed a medley of her hits on Sunday night’s “2009 American Music Awards.” Meanwhile, Farrell has several movies in the works.
If it was the old Colin, I would say “he hit it… multiple times… Miss Jackson if you’re nasty and/or Irish”. And maybe he did hit it back in the day. But I don’t think there’s anything sexual between Janet and Colin right now. I mean, Colin might have a vein of womanizing bastard in him still, but he’s got a newborn at home! He’s not that bad. Still, Alicja needs to keep an eye on that.

This is not the picture we’re talking about. You can see that on The Sun
Okay, I have been hearing for several days that Colin Farrell’s girlfriend Alicja Bachleda had given birth. I thought the reports were bullsh-t, because everything seemed to come from this obscure Polish source rather than any American or Irish confirmation. So I waited and waited to see if there was any truth to it. And now I’ve got my evidence – sort of. While Colin’s people still aren’t confirming anything, The Sun (and other sources) have pictures of Colin and Alicja out at a U2 concert over the weekend, and Alicja looks seriously skinny (pictures from The Sun here). Like, “she gave birth a while ago” skinny.
So, back to those original reports that I though were too sketchy. Allegedly, Alicja gave birth to a son a few weeks ago in Los Angeles, and only Poland’s Super Express got the scoop. Alicja’s brother maybe confirmed the news to them with this quote: “I am delighted my little sister has given birth. I hope that before the end of the year, I can fly out to see my new nephew.” If it’s true, it’s Colin’s second son. He is also father to 6-year-old James.
There was speculation yesterday that actor Colin Farrell had become a dad for the second time. The 33-year-old Irish actor’s girlfriend Alicja Bachleda-Curus was reported to have given birth to a baby boy.
The 26-year old Polish actress went into labour a week ago in Los Angeles, the reports said.
In an interview with the Polish tabloid ‘Super Express’, her brother Tadeusz said: “I am delighted my little sister has given birth. I hope that before the end of the year, I can fly out to see my new nephew.”
The Hollywood couple were said to have kept the birth secret for almost a week and have refused to reveal the name of their newborn son.
However, there was no confirmation from Farrell’s agent last night.
Two years ago, Farrell opened his heart and revealed that his five-year-old son James is a special-needs child. The actor described how the condition has affected his speech and mobility.
James, who is from Farrell’s previous relationship with Kim Bordenave, has a rare form of cerebral palsy called Angelman Syndrome.
If Alicja did give birth to a son, we still don’t know the name of the little boy. However, an Irish betting site is giving 4 to 1 odds on Colin naming the boy Eamon, the name of both Colin’s dad and his older brother. The site is also giving 10/1 odds on Colin, and “Alexander at 12/1, and Neil at 14/1, after Irish Oscar winning filmmaker Neil Jordan, while traditional Irish name Paddy/Patrick makes the list at 20/1.” I like the name Eamon. Neil would be cute too. In any case, congratulations to Colin and Alicja!
