Dear God, these photos are just TOO CUTE. I love old people. I’m not saying that in a mean, bitchy “Paul McCartney is so OLD” way. I’m saying that in a “It must be cool to be insanely rich and at an age where you no longer give a crap” way. These are photos of Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell’s wedding, which just happened a short while ago in London. Nancy wore this adorable little white dress, which was designed by her new step-daughter Stella. I want this dress! Nancy looks so sexy! Paul looks dashing and handsome too – they are a lovely couple. I swear, this was like another royal wedding – Paul and Nancy posed happily for photos all weekend as they were making preparations for their wedding, and it just shows how they’re both happy, content and old pros at all of this. I love that they posed for photos coming in and leaving the ceremony too. So sweet.

He loves her yeah, yeah, yeah! After days of wedding preparations, Paul McCartney and New York businesswoman Nancy Shevell exchanged vows during an afternoon ceremony in London.

The couple, who have been dating since 2007 and were engaged in May were greeted with cheers as they arrived at the Old Marylebone Town Hall, which was opened especially for the event.

Shevell, 51, wore a flower in her hair and long-sleeved, v-neck, knee-length ivory dress and shoes by her new stepdaughter, fashion designer Stella McCartney, who also made her father’s navy blue suit.

Paul’s youngest daughter Beatrice, 7, served as the flower girl and was seen wearing a long dress under a pink wool coat, and a flower wreath in her hair.

As the group left McCartney’s home, the former Beatle, 69, joked to the mass of photographers and reporters outside, “What’s going on? What are you all doing here?”

Other wedding guests included Shevell’s college-age son, Arlen, her cousin Barbara Walters, McCartney’s brother Mike, Ringo Starr and wife Barbara Bach, and George Harrison’s widow, Olivia. (Perhaps late Beatle John Lennon was there in spirit: Today would have been his 71th birthday.)

During the non-denominational ceremony, McCartney gave his bride a vintage-style Neil Lane diamond eternity band featuring 5-carats of square cut diamonds set in platinum. (The singer proposed with a 5-plus carat, flawless diamond art deco ring, also from the celebrity jeweler.)

“They’re totally in love and thrilled!” Lane told PEOPLE in May.

McCartney and Shevell waved to guests as they left the Town Hall amid a shower of pink and white rose petals tossed by guests. “It was terrific – thank you!” McCartney told the crowd, joking with fans and press that he felt “married.”

The newlyweds will celebrate with a party this evening at McCartney’s home, where guests will feast on vegetarian items including arugula and basil salad, goat cheese polenta, savory tarts, and dumplings.

There will be two wedding cakes – one traditional and one vegan – both baked by Posh Puds Patisserie. “We’ve worked on this for weeks,” a woman from the company told PEOPLE.

It’s the third marriage for McCartney, whose six-year union to Heather Mills ended with a bitter, headline-making divorce in 2008. (His first wife, Linda – whom he also married at the Town Hall – died from cancer in 1998, after 29 years of wedlock.) Shevell is also divorced.

On Oct. 3, a beaming McCartney told PEOPLE, “It’s a good time for me. I’m happy.”

The couple are expected to have a stateside celebration later this month.

I always love the details about the jewelry and the food. For the rings, it sounds like Paul knows his way around a jewelry store, and that he has no problems showering his girl with diamonds. YAY! The food is… meh. But Paul’s a vegetarian (a vegan?), and I’m not, so maybe that’s why I’m not all over the “goat cheese polenta” (the idea of it makes me nauseous).

I will say this though – I think this is a perfectly beautiful and appropriate way for two people “of a certain age” to get married when it’s not their first time around the block, you know? Nancy and Paul look gorgeous, but I love that she wasn’t wearing some long gown, and I like that everything just seemed low-key and about the people they really cared about. It’s nice.

It’s been reported all week, and now it looks like it’s really going to happen – Paul McCartney is set to marry for the third time. His third wife will be American Nancy Shevell, a 51-year-old, once-divorced businesswoman. According to earlier reports, Nancy and Paul plan to tie the knot in “a small, intimate, elegant, classic wedding” in Sussex, England, and then they’ll throw a big wedding reception in New York “later on”. But! Paul and Nancy just posted a wedding notice in London, so all of those reports might be crap:

The former Beatle and his bride-to-be, New York City businesswoman Nancy Shevell, have posted a notice announcing their intention to marry in London.

Known as a banns, the notice was filed by the couple in person at the Old Marylebone Town Hall in London this week and posted on Wednesday.

The venue — that has four rooms that can seat 20-100 guests — is the same one that McCartney, 69, chose to wed his late wife Linda in 1969. Paul and Linda’s daughter, Mary, also chose the venue to get hitched last year.

“It will be a small, intimate wedding,” a source tells Us Weekly of McCartney’s wedding to Shevell, 51, which will be his third. “It’s going to be very elegant and classic.”

Following a 16-day waiting period, McCartney and Shevell — who announced their engagement in April — can legally tie the knot on or after September 30.

So it’s not happening this weekend, alas. This will be Paul’s third marriage, after his first marriage to Linda, who died in 1998, and his second marriage to Heather Mills, which ended in divorce in 2002. Heather reported got a $35 million payoff/settlement, which she blew through very quickly, reportedly.

As for Nancy… she’s supposed to be very wealthy on her own, and Paul is showering her with gifts too. Her engagement ring cost $650,000, and Paul is so convinced that Nancy isn’t interested in his money that he’s reportedly eschewed a prenup:

Shevell’s own wealth is only part of the reason McCartney is eschewing a prenup, Popeater’s Rob Shuter told ABCNews.com. “Paul is saying, ‘This girl is not Heather,’” he said.

“She’s a very, very different lady than Heather Mills,” Shuter said. “She’s incredibly wealthy and successful in her own right.”

We’ll see. I mean, it’s obvious that Nancy isn’t a Heather Mills-type, but who knows? So far, Nancy has seemed discreet and elegant, and I suspect she’ll be the perfect trophy wife/companion to Paul.

Since I have Showtime, I keep watching the documentary Paul did called The Love You Make, all about Paul putting together the 9/11 concert back in 2001. Paul’s general character surprised me – he comes across as a very nice man, of course, but what surprised me was his incredible focus, and his incredible memory. You’d think that with all of the drugs he took in 1960s, he wouldn’t be able to remember anything from that period, but the word “encyclopedic” kept popping up in my mind while I watched him. Anyway, I get the feeling that Paul just wants a woman who will be his friend, someone he can talk to, and be his companion at this point. I hope Nancy is good to him.

As we found out on Friday, Paul McCartney and his lady love Nancy Shevell are newly engaged. It will be Paul’s third marriage, after his decades-long marriage to Linda and his all too brief marriage to the one-legged hustler. Something tells me that Nancy is a keeper, and that this will be Paul’s final marriage. Nancy seems like a low-key woman, and I sincerely hope they’re happy together. Who doesn’t like a $650,000 ring? What woman looks at a $650,000 and says, “Nah, I’m good”??? Of course Nancy likes it. And good for them.

Sigh… I really hope she’s not a crazy golddigger. If she was Heather Mills-esque, we would have known by now, right? Her crazy would have already come out, I’m thinking.

UPDATE: Ooooh, The Mail says that Paul isn’t asking Nancy to sign a prenup, just that “McCartney’s lawyers have drawn up a simple one-page document, saying that in the event that the new marriage fails Miss Shevell won’t make a claim on the trust funds of any of his children, and that seems to be enough for them both.” They also say that the wedding will be a smaller, non-glitzy affair.

Remember when Paul McCartney fell head over heels in love with a crazy, one-legged, pathological liar, ex-hooker and con artist? Good times. Well, out with the Crazy and in with the Normal! According to People Magazine, Paul McCartney has proposed to his girlfriend of several years, Nancy Shevell. Nancy is 51 years old, and she apparently has her own money. She met Paul when the two were neighbors in The Hamptons, I think, and when she was still married. There have been engagement rumors before, but I think this current round might be true:

Paul McCartney and his girlfriend of four years, Nancy Shevell, are engaged to be married, sources tell PEOPLE.

“Nancy and Paul are getting married,” a source close to Shevell, 51, a New York businesswoman, tells PEOPLE. “Ring and all – very exciting.”

The Beatles legend, 68, started dating Shevell in the Hamptons during the summer of 2007, and despite their 17-year age difference, a source close to the couple told PEOPLE they were a perfect pair.

“They have the right chemistry,” the source said. “They’re both cool, chilled out and optimistic.”

The couple most recently stepped out on Monday for a gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

This will be McCartney’s third marriage: He married Linda McCartney in 1969 and Heather Mills in 2002. While his marriage with Mills ended in a messy divorce in 2008, McCartney didn’t seem hesitant to give love another shot.

“I just like being in love,” he said of his budding romance with Shevell in 2008.

His fiancée even won over the kids – McCartney has five children: Heather, 48, Mary, 41, Stella, 39, James, 33, and Beatrice, 7 – and, in 2009, a source close to Stella said the fashion designer was “thrilled for her father.”

Yeah, Stella HATED Heather Mills, so basically anyone Paul chose from here on out would be better. From what little I know of Nancy, she seems low-key, and that’s probably good for Paul. He seems like the kind of man who doesn’t know what to do with himself if he’s not in a relationship. And I don’t mind the age difference either – I mean, hey, it could totally be worse.

There’s a new round of engagement rumors for Paul McCartney and his girlfriend of more than two years, American Nancy Shevell. The two had apparently known each other socially throughout the years, and began dating as both of their marriages unraveled, back in the fall/winter of 2007. Around this time last year, there was a round of engagement rumors too, which of course came to nothing. So… is there any truth to this round? Reasons why it’s a big “probably not”: 1) the rumors seemed based solely on the fact the Paul brought Nancy to the Golden Globes as his date and 2) Paul likes to be married. That last reason is a good one, too. Paul seems like the kind of guy who likes to have a wife and someone to take care of him. But still, I’m kind of doubting these reports:

Paul McCartney may be heading down the aisle for the third time – with New York millionaire Nancy Shevell, according to reports.

The power couple appeared side-by-side at Sunday night’s Golden Globes, and the 67-year-old former Beatle has proposed to her, reports the Daily Mail. They’ve even told friends and family they plan to wed, says the British paper.

McCartney and Shevell made headlines in November of 2007 when they were spotted around the Hamptons several times in the same weekend. Shevell, a businesswoman, was still married to high-powered attorney Bruce Blakeman at the time. But a close family friend said that Shevell’s marriage had been “unraveling for many years.”

She reportedly first met McCartney more than 20 years ago when their families vacationed together, but only started dating him after the musician’s messy divorce battle from his second-wife, Heather Mills.

Mills won a whopping $49 million from the divorce, adding to the public’s disdain for her. Comedian Ricky Gervais made the payout the subject of a joke at the Golden Globes with McCartney and Shevell in the audience.

“We actually came over [from England] on the same flight,” Gervais said. “I didn’t get to speak to him because I was up the front in first class. He was behind me in coach. Saving money. He spent an awful lot last year.”

McCartney didn’t seem thrilled at the reference to his divorce.

But his new love may soon make that unpleasantness seem long in the past. McCartney fans compare Shevell to his first wife, Linda, since both came from families with successful businesses. (Linda died from breast cancer in 1998.)

“Nancy comes from a similar wealthy East Coast background to Linda and it makes everyone comfortable that she is clearly not after Paul’s money,” a source told the British newspaper, The People.

Also like Linda, Shevell battled breast cancer and has converted to vegetarianism.

McCartney’s daughter Stella, 38, had a rocky relationship with Mills but has taken to Shevell, says the Daily Mail. And even former Beatle bandmate Ringo Starr approves.

“Paul is deliriously happy with Nancy and decided she was the woman he wanted to make his third wife,” a friend told the Daily Mail. “They clicked from the moment they first met eyes. She is the complete opposite to Heather Mills and is only interested in Paul the person, not Paul the Beatle.”

Shevell walked the red carpet with her man at the Golden Globes, and was seated next to him at the Los Angeles awards show.

But she may have some competition. Actress Julia Roberts, who was seated on his other side, was constantly caught by cameras chatting him up during the show. She even mentioned him when she took the stage to present an award. “If you want attention, sit next to Paul McCartney,” Roberts gushed. “I never had so many texts in my life.”

Well, I’ll say this about Paul and Nancy – they make a very attractive couple. Nancy is an attractive, handsome, refined woman without any hint of anything showy or graceless. She’s either 49 or 50 years old to Paul’s 67 years, so there’s still a gap, but it’s not a gross, “oh, she’s a young little golddigger” gap. Plus, Nancy has her own money. Perhaps Paul has learned his lesson with the Heather Mills debacle, and Paul’s just decided to “date” instead of “marry”. Here’s hoping!

Paul McCartney isn’t sitting at home brooding over his high-profile divorce with batshit crazy Heather Mills. Heather is trying to ratchet up the crazy, squawking new allegations that Paul hasn’t defended her to the press and claiming to have a tape of Paul admitting to have hit his former beloved wife, Linda. Paul is sending Heather the message that he’s above all that and won’t let what people say about him interfere with his life. He has been spotted on all sorts of romantic dates and outings with his married American neighbor from the Hamptons, Nancy Shevell, 47:

In new photos published this week in Britain (and splashed across the New York papers Wednesday morning), McCartney, 65, is pictured kissing Nancy Shevell, an American whom the papers described as a new love interest. The photos show the couple walking along a windswept beach, sharing a coffee break and deep in discussion on a sidewalk in the Hamptons, where both Shevell and McCartney have mansions.

A source tells PEOPLE: “They have known each other for a while. They are just friends.”

Shevell, who’s separated from her husband, is a 47-year-old mother of one and a vice president at the New England Motor Freight, Inc. Earlier in the week, The Sun published a photo of McCartney leaving Top Drawer Lingerie shop in East Hampton last Saturday, with his hood up and clutching a bag.

Belying the “just friends” statement, Paul was photographed kissing Shevell and the two were shacked up in a London hotel together for two days while he was attending a divorce hearing. Her lawyer husband has also gone to the trouble of releasing a statement to let everyone know that they’re legally separated and that his wife isn’t officially cheating:

Nancy, 47, confirmed the separation from her wealthy lawyer husband Bruce Blakeman, 52, following the emergence of reports of her dates with the former Beatle including one liaison at a London hotel on the day of his High Court divorce hearing.

Previously known as Nancy Shevell Blakeman, she recently dropped her husband’s name and both have been seen without wedding rings.

Nancy, who is vice president of her wealthy family’s firm and a top New York City transport official, wed Mr Blakeman in 1984. The pair have a teenage son Arlen.
Mr Blakeman — a commissioner of the New York Port Authority and a partner in a top Big Apple law firm — also yesterday confirmed that he and Nancy had split.
He said: “My wife and I are legally separated at the moment.” He added in a statement: “The separation is amicable and mutual.”

Paul was most recently briefly linked to Renee Zellweger and was said to be in a relationship post-divorce with Guinness beer heiress Sabrina Guinness. Paul’s ex, Heather Mills, was said to be banging her much-younger personal trainer, but considering how off the rails she’s been she probably hasn’t taken her medication or been laid in quite a while. Not that getting laid is necessary for your sanity, just that no one wants to get with a woman who seems capable of pulling a Lorena Bobbitt for a minor perceived offense.
