Nicole Richie welcomes son Sparrow James Midnight

Nicole Richie has given birth to a boy! Nicole and her boyfriend Joel Madden welcomed their son into the world this morning, making him a 9/9/09 baby, which is a really cool birthday to have, in my opinion. Plus, he’s a Virgo! Virgos rock (said the Virgo)! Nicole and Joel have named their son… wait for it… Sparrow James Midnight Madden. Dude, Sparrow? Sparrow?!? I don’t care what a cool little rocker kid he is, this poor kid is going to have his ass kicked in school. But I actually like the “James Midnight” part of the name. That rocks. I love the name James.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have welcomed their second child, a boy.

“In the middle of night, the very early hours of September 9, 2009, Sparrow James Midnight Madden was born to Nicole Richie and Joel Madden,” she announced on her website Wednesday. “He weighs 7lbs 14oz. Nicole, Joel, Harlow [their 19-month-old daughter] and Sparrow are all doing well. Thank you for all of your good wishes.”

In February, Madden, 31, took to his band’s blog to announce that he and his girlfriend, 27, were expecting again. “What’s better than winning an Oscar?” he wrote. “I am so happy to tell everyone that Harlow is going to be a big sister!”

As their family expands, the two — together since 2006 — have no immediate plans to wed.

“I think for both of us, we are going to do it because we want to, not because that’s what you do,” Richie told CNN’s Larry King last May. “We’re going to do it when the time’s right.”

Added Madden, “We’re really focused on our family, and we feel like — we already feel kind of married, you know? Our family system that we have down, we feel like this is a real family and marriage, one day it will come.”

Richie’s father Lionel also wants them “to take their time.” He told King he knows people who have wed spontaneously “and they broke up five minutes later. I like the idea of ‘take your time, get it right,’ because you have kids in common.

“I’m more interested in whether they like each other and whether they’re best friends,” he went on. “Because that means they’ll be great parents forever.”

In 2008, Richie and Madden launched the Richie-Madden Foundation, a charity that supports families and children in need.

Congratulations to the happy family! I wonder how big sister Harlow is going to react to having a little brother? Harlow and Sparrow (twitch) are only something like 20 months apart in age, so hopefully Harlow won’t get too fussy about no longer being “the baby”.

I’m sitting here trying to figure out if there’s some butch way to abbreviate “Sparrow”. How about “Spar” with an “ah” sound? Or “Row” could be cute. Let’s call him Row. Little Row Madden. That’s sweet. Much better than Sparrow, in any case.

Pregnant Nicole Richie is distraught, near collapse in wake of DJ AM’s death

Nicole Richie’s second baby is due any day now, and her family and friends are worried that her health has taken a serious blow. Nicole was left devastated by her ex-boyfriend Adam Goldstein/DJ AM’s death on Friday. Star Magazine claims that Nicole “almost collapsed in grief” when she was told the news, and that she “felt like her heart stopped for a few minutes.” According to Star’s sources, Nic’s doctor made a house call to check on her, that’s how fearful people were about her health. Star also claims (I think accurately) and Nicole and Adam had shared a joint commitment to beat their addiction while together, and that Nic is devastated at the thought that she didn’t do enough to “reach out” to him.

The National Enquirer has a much more hardcore version of this story too – but they’re making it about how Joel Madden and Nicole got into some huge fight about Adam. They claim Joel interrogated Nic about whether she was still in love with Adam, and that Nicole was so distraught she almost went into premature labor:

Pregnant Nicole Richie was devastated after her ex-fiance DJ AM’s sudden death, and her meltdown caused a huge blowup between her and current fiance Joel Madden.

The former Simple Life star took the news of his death so hard that her pals feared she was going into premature labor. The body of DJ AM – aka Adam Goldstein – was found in his pricey SoHo loft apartment on Aug. 28.

The two dated for two years before splitting up in 2006 and remained friends. But her emotional reaction after he died made Joel wonder if Nicole had been hiding deep feelings for Adam, said a source.

“It ended up in a big fight, with Joel demanding, ‘Were you still in love with him?’

“Nicole was angry that Joel would even ask that – during her time of grief – AND when she was so close to giving birth!”

Nicole, who has a 19-month-old daughter, Harlow with Joel, was more than eight months into her second pregnancy when she learned the tragic news.

“She broke down, cried uncontrollably and thought that she was having contractions,” said the source. “She was devastated to think that Adam’s life came to such a terrible end after his years struggling to stay sober.

“She was crushed.”

Police at the scene of Adam’s death found a half-empty bag of crack and a glass crack pipe near his body. They also found more than a dozen bottles of prescription medicine including the anti-anxiety drug Xanax and the painkiller Vicodin in the kitchen. Undigested Oxycontin pills were found in his stomach and a still undissolved tab lingered in his mouth, the autopsy reported, suggesting suicide from painkillers OD.

A former crack addict, Adam appeared to have turned his life around and claimed to have been sober for more than a decade. His close pals now blame his deadly relapse on the pain medication he was prescribed after being injured in a plane crash with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker last September.

Despite being badly hurt, sources say Adam was able to pull a severely burned Travis from the wreckage. The remaining four people aboard the plane perished.

“It appears he was having a real tough time dealing with the physical pain and stress from the crash and got addicted to the painkillers he was on,” a police source told The ENQUIRER.

Learning that Adam died of an apparent overdose made his death even more painful for Nicole. A former drug user herself, she has been clean for more than two years – thanks to the love and support of Joel. Nicole’s publicist denied that Goldstein’s death caused any problems between her and Joel.

Well… my guess is that Nicole was probably very distraught with Adam’s death, and I think there could be a possibility Joel Madden wondered to himself whether Nicole still had feelings for Adam. But I don’t see them getting into some kind of screaming fight about it. I sometimes think Joel gives off a whiff of douche, but I don’t see him as the kind of guy who, when hearing about a tragic death of someone the pregnant mother of his children once loved, would get into a huge, narcissistic fight making it all about him.

Nicole Richie stays home while Joel Madden parties, drinks & flirts

Nicole Richie seems to have stayed on the straight and narrow since her first pregnancy, with now 18-month-old Harlow. As Nicole is expecting her second child with boyfriend Joel Madden, she’s been keeping her public appearances pretty limited, only promoting her sold-out line of costume jewelry and doing various charitable deeds. It’s been a while since I’d read anything about her, so I kind of thought my girl was doing well. Not so much, if this “eyewitness” account from the National Enquirer is any indication. Well they say Nicole is still okay, but that she might be having big issues with Joel. It seems Joel is a little tired of the quiet life with Nicole and has been out in LA, making an ass out of himself. Eyewitness accounts describe Joel’s behavior as “raucous”, “out of control” and “acting like a total tool”. He was buying some tattooed vixen drinks, and he even got her digits:

While pregnant Nicole Richie sat home with 18-month-old daughter Harlow, boyfriend Joel Madden spent the night “drinking and flirting” – and then exchanged phone numbers! – with a sexy, tattooed brunette at the Hollywood club Guys & Dolls, an eyewitness told The Enquirer.

[A disc-jockey gig turned] into a raucous boys’ night out – acting “out of control and definitely behaving like a single guy,” the source told the Enquirer.

“Instead of staying home with pregnant Nicole, he was acting like a total tool – smoking, drinking Red Bull and vodka, and buying drinks for a woman at the club who was hanging all over him.”

“He was definitely acting like a complete Hollywood player.”

Joel started the flirting, says the insider – and the tattooed beauty flirted right back. “She twirled her hair and kept leaning in closely and whispering in his ear. Joel smiled at her, touched her, and bought her a Heineken. And that was all she needed – she hung onto him for the rest of the night.”

The two even exchanged phone numbers.

“It was such a tacky thing to do in front of people who knew he had a girlfriend at home waiting for him,” continued the eyewitness. “I’m sure he had some major explaining to do when he got home.”

“Tacky” is the right word. One of my worries for/about Nicole has always been that Joel isn’t in this for the long haul, and that she would get her heart broken. Hopefully, if any of this “eyewitness” account is true, Nicole gave Joel an ultimatum – straighten out or I’m out. But something tells me Nicole isn’t one for ultimatums.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have purchased a new home in the Laurel Canyon area of LA that will more than accommodate their growing family. The home is 5,380 square feet with four bedrooms, five and a half baths and a full guesthouse that turns into a screening room. It’s designed with exposed beams and natural wood and is described as a mix between “Aspen Lodge” and “Tropical Paradise.” They are said to have paid $1.92 million, which is a relative bargain:

YOUR MAMAS NOTES: While that naughty Paris Hilton curses Cannes with her dirty dancing, wanton ways and vulgar public displays of sexual affection with her reality tee-vee star boyfriend Doug Reinhardt, her old paper thin BFF Nicole Richie is out making babies and buying houses in Los Angeles’ traditionally bohemian enclave of Laurel Canyon.

Last summer it was widely reported that Miss Richie and her baby daddy–rocker Joel Madden from Good Charlotte–were out hunting for a new house. Not finding anything to their immediate liking they temporarily settled into a lovely Spanish style casa on Outpost Drive even though Mister Madden owns a big house in hot as Hades Glendale, CA where they surely could have shacked up and saved some money until finding their dream house. But money is not an object for Miss Richie whose father is, of course, the wildly rich crooner Lionel Richie who has enough moolah to keep all the children in over-priced rental properties. Anyhoo, with Miss Richie preggers with bottle nipper number two, having a house they could call home became a priority and after searching far and wide the tattooed twosome finally settled on a 5,380 square foot house on Lookout Mountain Road that carried an asking price of $1,999,000.

Property records and previous reports show that the 4 bedroom and 5.5 bathroom house was purchased from retired professional footballer Mike Croel for $1,912,000. Given that Mister Croel, who now works as a graphic designer, paid just $875,000 for the house in 2003, it would seem he and the wifey made off nicely in the deal.

Listing information indicates the walled and gated property is an unexpected (and not particularly successful) combination of “Aspen Lodge” and “Tropical Paradise.” Now children, Your Mama is all for eclectic architecture and day-core, but there are some styles that are simply not meant to go together, and Aspen ski chalet and Key West Conch are two of them. No. No. No.

The woodsy interiors are full of towering ceilings, heavy beams, large sky lights (or sky domes according to listing information), 4 fireplaces, wood floors and large windows and sliding glass doors that open to the lush (tropical) landscaping in the back yard that includes a lagoon style swimming pool and spa, flag stone terracing and something called a “Key West cantina.” Somewhere is a separate guest house that converts to a screening room which is a good thing because, let’s be honest chickens, unlike regular people, Tinseltown types are seldom satisfied with just a big boob-toob in the family room.

If Your Mama is being truthful, and we always are, we’d whisper to the children that this house is a hot mess of wacky roof lines and counter-intuitive landscaping, but we’d also have to admit that in that this is a lot of damn house for the money (in Los Angeles) and in that sense Miss Richie and Mister Madden did quite well for themselves.

There is something kind of strange about the way the house is cut on a severe angle on one side and that seems like it would reduce a lot of space from the rooms, but that’s a minor complaint. The rooms are high enough that it shouldn’t be an issue. It’s a lovely home and has a rustic feel to it that makes it seem very comfortable. Congratulations to Nicole, Joel, Harlow and their upcoming little one. It looks like a beautiful place to call home.

Nicole Richie’s boy baby names: Baron, Kypher & Martavious

In tabloid-ville, everyone is pretty sure Nicole Richie is expecting a boy for her second child with her boyfriend/partner Joel Madden. Now that we’ve got gender out of the way, Star has this hilarious story about what Nicole’s favorite boy baby names are. Perhaps “Jack” or “Michael”? Oh, no, of course not. Nicole prefers the kind of baby names that Donald Trump would come up with – like “Baron”. And to mix it up, Nicole also likes “Martavious”. Oh, joy:

Top on the 27-year-old’s odd wish list for her second child with Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden, 30? Baron!

“When she heard Donald Trump named his baby that, she told Joel she really likes it,” says a friend of the couple.

And if that’s not the right fit for the little guy, who’s due in August, “she also like the names Kypher, a mythological creature, and Martavious, which means ‘special one’” adds the pal.

“She wants something that’s going to get a lot of attention.” Those choices would do the trick!

I actually like unusual names, because for my generation, I had a weird “ethnic” name. So I really don’t think “Kypher” is all that bad. They could call him Kyph (pronounced “kife”). Little Kyph Madden… that’s cute. Perhaps they could save Martavious for the middle name the kid never acknowledges. But Baron? Just say “no” to anything Donald Trump says “yes” to, that’s my rule. Chances are that Star made up this whole story anyway.

Nicole was also on Larry King Live last night (quotes via Showbiz Spy), and she talked about how she and Joel aren’t in any kind of rush to get married, saying “When I was a little girl I dreamed about getting married and that is definitely still a dream of mine one day… But right now, we’re really, really focused on our family, we’re focused on our foundation and as far as feeling that need of commitment, we both really have that in each other.” I’ve often wondered about that with Nicole – and I’ve come around to the conclusion that Joel is the one who probably wants to get married, and Nicole is the one saying no… just an opinion.

Is Nicole Richie expecting a boy?

Rumor around In Touch Weekly is that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are expecting a boy. This comes from a source close to the couple, who mouths off to In Touch
about how the nursery and all of the baby toys are totally blue. Could it be that Nicole Richie just likes the color blue? It’s a Virgo thing – both Nicole and I are Virgos, and one of out favorite anal-retentive Virgo activities is to decorate in blue. Right after we organize our sock drawer and make a grocery list organized by aisle. So, is it a Virgo thing or is she really having a boy? I’d bet on the newest addition to the Richie-Madden household being a boy!

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are already the proud parents of an adorable 16-month-old daughter, Harlow, and now, they’re getting ready for the arrival of a bouncing baby boy in August, a friend tells In Touch.

“Joel bought water-based paint for the nursery and — surprise, surprise — it’s blue,” reveals another pal of the couple, who adds that Nicole refers to the baby as “he.”

“Plus, she recently ordered some plush animals and infant toys from FAO Schwarz, and everything just happens to be blue.”

Ho-hum, doesn’t anyone decorate in neutrals anymore? I take that back, I think beige nurseries are sad. Blues and pinks might be retro, but at least they’re lively. This breaking baby news isn’t the only thing Nicole is getting press for – she also is speaking out on environmental causes, urging schools to begin early childhood education on organic food, recycling and energy reduction. Nicole just joined the Young Hollywood Board of the Environmental Media Association, and has begun to spread the word on environmental causes. She gave a mission statement to HollyScoop (story via The San Francisco Chronicle):

Socialite Nicole Richie has urged schools to help save the planet by teaching kids about environmental issues from a young age.

Richie, who has a 16-month-old daughter, Harlow, with boyfriend Joel Madden, has become a passionate green campaigner in recent years and insists her family only eats organic food.

And Richie hopes educational institutes will heed her advice and encourage children to recycle, save energy and maintain a balanced diet.

She tells Hollyscoop.com, “Being in a school with the environment of education, it really doesn’t make sense to educate children on math, science, history and not educate them on nutrition and taking care of our planet. It seems that it is our responsibility to make sure that happens.

“Anyone that is going to eat organic is going to feel different. We only eat organic. We don’t really have plastic in our house, we mostly use glass bottles. People can even help by turning off their lights when they leave the house, it’s just so easy for everyone, if they helped just a little bit, if everyone helped a little bit, it would make such a huge, huge difference.”

Of course, it all comes down to putting your time and money where your mouth is. Which it seems Nicole is doing. Not only living a more environmentally-conscious personal life, but actually going out and working to expand environmental awareness. Nicole recently participated in planting organic gardens
at various Los Angeles schools, all so students attending public school can develop a taste for organic food.

Nicole Richie & Joel Madden fighting over her friendship w/ Rachel Zoe

The National Enquirer claims that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are fighting like cats and dogs. My first assumption was that Joel’s heart wasn’t into it, but as it turns out, Joel is committed. So committed he’s demanding that Nicole end her friendship with someone he sees as destructive, and a horrible influence. That person is Rachel Zoe, celebrity stylist, star of Bravo’s The Rachel Zoe Project, and professional whack-job. I’m saying that as a devoted fan of The Rachel Zoe Project – Zoe knows everything about clothes, but beyond that, she is a horrible, limited, selfish, vapid person. It’s actually great television.

After the styling stuff, Rachel is most famous for the rumors of her handing out diet pills to her clients, and encouraging them to cultivate eating disorders, all for fashion and fame. Where Hollywood’s motto is “You can never be too rich or too thin”, Zoe’s philosophy is “You can never be too thin.” On The Rachel Zoe Project, she never eats, not even for the cameras. She just downs copious amounts of coffee and mohair.

It seems that Nicole cut Rachel Zoe out of her life around May 2007, when Nic found out she was pregnant, and became a rehab out-patient. According to the National Enquirer, this was when Joel gave Nicole an ultimatum to clean up and cut out every bad influence. It seems that Nicole did just that, because within a few months she seemed utterly transformed and healthy. The following January (of 2008) Nicole gave birth to Harlow, who was totally healthy. Since then, Nicole has been maintaining a healthy weight, and has seemed drug-free and well-adjusted. But Joel fears that Nicole’s past behavior may come back, especially since Nicole has resumed her friendship with Rachel Zoe:

At a time when Nicole Richie and Joel Madden should be picking out baby names, they’re instead locked in a bitter feud over Nicole’s renewed friendship with celebrity fashion stylist Rachel Zoe.

Joel believes Rachel, star of Bravo’s “The Rachel Zoe Project,” is partially to blame for Nicole’s struggles with an eating disorder – and he’s fuming that the two women have reconnected, say sources close to the couple.

“Joel is very protective of the mother of his child, and he thinks Rachel is a terrible influence on Nicole,” an insider told the Enquirer. “He and Nicole have had some pretty heated arguments over the issue.”

Nicole broke off her personal and professional relationship with pin-thin Rachel in November 2006 amid claims that the fashion maven was an unhealthy influence. It was also around the time that she and Joel started dating.

The former “simple Life” star also entered rehab on an outpatient basis to focus on nutrition and proclaimed she “wanted to surround herself with positive people and influences.”

Just weeks later, Nicole posted a thinly veiled jibe at Rachel on her MySpace page, referring to her as “raisin face,” saying she “hides her deathly disorder by pointing the finger at me.”

Despite Joel’s steady influence and a period of recovery and healthy weight gain, Nicole continued to drift off-course. In May 2007, 5-foot-2-inch Nicole – pregnant and weighing just 83 pounds – checked into rehab to battle a prescription pill addiction and anorexia.

“Joel gave her an ultimatum and threatened to leave her unless she cleaned up,” said the insider. “He associates that nightmare period of Nicole’s life – the pills and the dieting – with Rachel. He is convinced that she corrupted Nicole.”

Rachel, who has styled weight-challenged starlets Lindsay Lohan and Mischa Barton, has fought back against charges that she’s encouraged clients to use dangerous weight-loss aids.

But the insider insisted, “Joel doesn’t think it’s a coincidence that as soon as Nicole erased Rachel from her life, she got healthy and gained 20 pounds.”

“Now with Rachel back in the picture, he’s scared of Nicole relapsing.”

Nicole, already mom to 16-month-old daughter Harlow, is expecting her second child with the Good Charlotte rocker this summer. She reunited with Rachel in November 2008 because she thought it was time to “forgive and forget” and because she believed Rachel could be an asset as she launches her new fashion and accessories line, says the insider.

Nicole has assured Joel that she’s in a different place in her life now and won’t fall back into her dangerous habits, but Joel refuses to drop the issue.

“It’s a shame that Nicole and Joel are bickering when they should be bursting with happiness over the impending arrival of their second child,” added the insider.

“But Rachel has become a big sticking point in their relationship.”

I think there’s a lot to the idea that Nicole re-friended Rachel because Nic “believed Rachel could be an asset as she launches her new fashion and accessories line.” If it’s just business, Nicole is being smart. Rachel’s good word can launch a new clothing or accessories line.

I’m a huge fan of this new-and-improved Nicole Richie, but I still worry about her. She got healthy very fast, and she put her life on track within a matter of months. I want to believe she’s going to stay healthy for Joel, Harlow, and the baby she’s carrying, but old habits die hard. I have to admit, a relapse might be possible. But Nicole’s weathered worse, so here’s hoping she comes out ahead, no matter what.

Nicole Richie hijacks Joel Madden’s man-cave

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are having space issues. When Nicole was pregnant with Harlow, they were still living in Joel’s bachelor pad. After Harlow’s birth, they began renting a slightly bigger Hollywood home, with room for a nursery and Joel’s office. Now that Nicole is pregnant with their second child, she is kicking Joel out of his office. Nicole has big plans for his man-cave, too. It involves lots of frills and pink bunting.

Mom-to-be Nicole Richie is giving boyfriend Joel Madden the boot — out of his in-house office, that is.

The pair, already parents to 15-month old daughter Harlow, need to make room for their new baby the in the home they’ve been renting on Hollywood’s Outpost Drive since late last year. Unfortunately, that means converting Joel’s home office into a third bedroom.

With the second child on its way, Nicole, 27, wants Harlow to move out of the nursery and into her own “big girl’s room.”

“Nicole plans to redo Joel’s office in pink and frills,” a source tells OK!. “She’s told him he either has to move to the garage or put his laptop in the kitchen!”

Joel, 30, hates the idea of being kicked out of his office, but knows it’s for a good cause. Says the source, “He’s thrilled to death that they are expecting another baby.”

Joel seems like he’s being a very good sport. Not to be crude, but he’s probably thrilled Nicole’s got her pregnancy boobs back, and he’ll do anything the boobs ask. It would be nice if Joel had his own space for his man-lair, but Nicole is probably nesting like crazy. I bet she is having a field day decorating Harlow’s big girl room too. Perhaps now’s the time to buy a bigger place? Real estate is a buyer’s market right now, they could probably easily afford something larger. Perhaps a five-bedroom with a big backyard? That would be plenty of space for Joel’s office and a third baby!

Nicole Richie’s jewelry line sells out, her maternity clothing line is coming

Nicole Richie’s jewelry line “House of Harlow 1960” has sold out of inventory in pre-sale orders. This was before the line was even featured in stores, that’s how much people wanted Richie’s baubles. I’ve seen some of the stuff featured in People Magazine, and I guess the best way to say it would be that it’s just not my taste. Lots of 1960s and 1970s inspired stuff, lots of feathery, dangling, jangling pieces that look like they were found on Fleetwood Mac’s tour bus circa 1972. But I’m sure a lot of women like that look, obviously, or the line wouldn’t have sold out. Here’s a site with some good pictures of the pieces.

So with her jewelry line a resounding success, the next step for global domination is… a celebrity fashion line. But not just any fashion – maternity wear. Considering Nicole looks incredible pregnant (better than she looks non-pregnant, honestly), a maternity line is a great choice. Showbiz Spy has more:

She tells People magazine, “There will be a maternity line, a clothing line, shoes, belts, everything.”

Richie already has a successful jewelry line called House of Harlow 1960.

According to People, the jewelry line sold out of inventory through pre-order sales before Richie could get her line in stores.

As for her pregnancy, the Richie says she’s doing great: “I’m working a lot; I have great friends and a great family. … All of my dreams are coming true.”

Nicole Richie is still talking about how she’s not going to marry Joel Madden

Despite what she used to say, Nicole Richie wants the world to know that she and boyfriend/baby-daddy Joel Madden have no plans to marry. The couple are parents to 14-month-old Harlow, and they just announced two weeks ago that they have a second child on the way.

This latest interview comes from Vivi magazine, and the quotes are via The List. Though it goes unmentioned, I suspect Nicole is promoting her new jewelry line that just launched a few days ago. Nic’s been wearing some of her designs, and I think they’re kind of “meh” but I’ve never cared for that 1970s, feathery, Fleetwood Mac style.

Despite having no plans to walk down the aisle in the near future, Nicole is totally committed to Joel and is keen to praise him. Asked to name the Good Charlotte rocker’s three best qualities, she replied: “Good father! Talented musician! Good personality!”

Nicole is equally as glowing about her daughter, saying she is the most important person in her life. She explained: “Harlow means everything to me. She had a close resemblance to Joel at the time of birth, but she now looks like me because of her green eyes and blonde hair, but she also resembles Joel.”

Although she loves being a mother, Nicole believes it is important to spend some time away from Harlow. She revealed to Vivi magazine: “I wear jeans and a T-shirt and no make-up when I am with my daughter. But I take care of my adult time too. I like to go to restaurants and bars in high-heeled shoes and dresses when I have free time. Because I am still 27 years old, you know?”

I’ve come around to the idea that Joel and Nicole are probably really happy together, though originally I had my doubts. Joel seems to have settled down with only the occasional minor hiccup, like standing next to Tila Tequila. Nicole seems to have really flourished with motherhood, and I hope this second pregnancy goes as well as her first.
