Usher says lesbians get together because there aren’t enough men

Usher should just quit talking to the press. The 29 year-old singer often makes defensive, shrill statements about his misunderstood personal life that make him seem unbalanced, if not guilty of the very accusations he’s rallying against. In an interview with Vibe, he says he regrets some of the things he’s done in the public eye, including issuing that stupid “open letter” where he wrote in all caps that “I AM NOT BEING LED” by his new wife, Tameka Foster.

When talking about the criticism of his marriage, he went off on a rant. She seemed to claim that women are lesbians because there aren’t enough men to go around, particularly in the black community:

“Am I so much of a bad guy because I decided to get married? Am I so much of a bad guy [because once I got in the situation], I decided to stand for something, build a foundation, and think about my future?” he asked. “As a man, you would respect me for not turning my back on it. … It can never be bad to have a foundation as a man — a black man — in a time when women are dying for men. Women have started to become lovers of each other as a result of not having enough men. Are you not studying the stories? Wake up! Black love is a good thing.”

[From MTV.com via D-Listed]

Maybe he meant that there are some women who are primarily straight who decide to turn to their girlfriends or something for lack of men. Surely he’s not saying that lesbianism is a result of a scarcity of opposite sex mates. Either way, it’s a stupid thing to say and Usher sounds like a fool. Look for an obnoxious and screeching statement from Usher claiming his statement was taken out of context, and that the journalist and the entire Internet is out to get him.

One more thing I got out of this is that he’s saying he deserves credit for sticking with Tameka and what he presumes to be his child. He said in an interview published last week that “It’s a conscious decision every day to love the person you’re with.” Usually when you’re happily married, especially in the beginning, you talk about how elated you are and how lucky you feel to be with that person, not how you should be applauded for even marrying them and sticking around. Usher did praise Tameka in the Vibe interview, though. He said “The swagger I possess now definitely comes from my wife. And my son completes me. He changes my perspective on what life is, and what matters.”

Usher said that Tameka is outspoken and that “If something doesn’t look right or she feels like it could look better, she’ll say something.” Unfortunately she can’t censor the idiotic things he says to the press, although maybe she also has 19th century notions of same sex relationships.

Usher is shown performing on Good Morning America on 5/30/08, thanks to WENN.

Usher says monogamy is a decision he has to make every day

Usher, who last year married Tameka Foster after postponing the wedding to his then 5 months pregnant fiance only hours before the ceremony, has this to say about his marriage.

And while Usher insists marriage and commitment have changed his life for the better, he admits monogamy doesn’t come naturally to him - and he has to fight his wandering eye.

The star tells Cosmopolitan magazine, “I’m good at making love, but I’m not good at being in love. It’s a conscious decision every day to love the person you’re with.”

Contact Music

It seems to me it’s only a matter of time before he cheats. This comes hot on the heels of his comments last month to Entertainment Weekly.

‘I was just looking for good times. In the club. Not living right. This woman. That woman. Uncertain. Unsure…. But there does come a time when you start thinking, Who’s gonna love me and take care of me when I’m down? Who’s gonna care about making sure that I’m okay? I need a companion. Damn.”

”I understand the whole thing about the drama between me and my mother,” he concedes. ”To be honest with you, we had a very one-sided relationship, and for obvious reasons: She had to make the majority of the sacrifices; otherwise we didn’t go forward…. I’m pretty sure that my mother would want to forever manage me. She’ll always be my partner.”

Bossip

Do I smell divorce? Last month rumors of a divorce in the works which was denied by his rep. While Usher might be struggling to love the one your with, I suspect Tameka is tired of taking care of her adolescent husband and a baby at the same time.

Their whole marriage has been plagued by suggestions that not all is well - shortly after the two met he fired most of his staff, including his own mother who did not attend either of his weddings. Tameka is supposedly domineering, she definitely has a criminal record, and she likes to try to control his career. When you break up a family, poke your nose into part’s of your husband’s life, and generally are a demanding bitch, it’s highly likely that your not-undateable husband is going to go out and get himself a new piece of arm candy.

Usher and Tameka are shown in the header outside MTV’s TRL on 4/7/08 and below “leaving a party thrown by the Beckhams at Via Veneto restaurant in Santa Monica” on 4/20/08, thanks to WENN.

Has Usher filed for separation from Tameka? (update: rep denial)

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything from Usher and Tameka. At last check, Usher was telling the press that he wasn’t going to “pimp” out his son to the media – referring to the way many celebs have only agreed to sell pictures of their new babies for exorbitant amounts of money. Usher seems like he’s got a good head on his shoulders. Which is why no one could ever seem to figure out why in the world he married Tameka Foster. According to Young, Black & Fabulous, people’s prayers are being answered: Usher has filed for a separation.

…Extremely reliable sources close to Mr. Raymond himself have confirmed to TheYBF.com that Usher has indeed filed for separation from his wife of only 9 months Tameka Raymond. I’m told he actually filed three weeks ago. And Usher is torn on whether he will be making an official announcement or not as he wants to save face and just let it “leak”. How convenient that his album releases in exactly 6 days, his second video hit the net today, and his album leaked yesterday. We’ve been here before with the pre-album release publicity stunts (remember the Chilli breakup right before Confessions?). So I’m really not surprised.

But it is interesting that Mrs. Raymond was just on set with Usher for his MTV snippet tapings on Sunday. At the very beginning of their relationship almost a year ago, sources were screaming left and right that this whole relationship was a sham and Tameka was strictly a pawn. And their relationship was all for publicity for his soon to be released album. And clearly this may not have been as far fetched as people thought.

At this time, it’s unclear as to what reason–if any–Ursh is going to give for their separation. But I have two guesses…both of which fit the classic Usher-pre-album-release-publicity stunts he has pulled before with previous album releases. Either the beef between the Mrs. and Mama Ursh is too much for Usher to handle, or he found out baby Usher V is not his. Regardless, Urshmeka is chillin’ on Splitsville Lane right now and time will only tell how this is all about to play out.

[From YBF]

Third possible reason? Tameka is a man. But we’ve gone over that before, and I can’t remember any of the good tranny jokes I’d saved up to use on her. It seems like singers are getting pretty damn creative – and personal – in the publicity for their album releases. Mariah got married to Nick Cannon, Ashlee Simpson got engaged/maybe knocked up by Pete Wentz, and Usher’s leaving Maneka. Whatever happened to signing CDs at your local Tower Records? I’m not certain, but I don’t think that even requires a lawyer.

The timing might be advantageous, but I bet Usher has more reasons to leave Maneka than he can even choose from. The beef with his mom, the way she’s all controlling, her penis… wait I guess I did remember a few of the tranny jokes. Maneka was reportedly hated by pretty much everyone in Usher’s life. That’s never a good sign. Hopefully they’ll be decent to each other for the sake of their young son.

Here’s Usher and Tameka leaving a party thrown by the Beckhams at Via Veneto restaurant in Santa Monica on April 20th and outside MTV TRL Studios in Times Square on April 7th. Images thanks to WENN.

Update by Celebitchy: Usher’s rep tells US Weekly this isn’t true and that “Usher and Tameka are currently traveling in Europe together as a family on his promotional tour. This rumor is completely false.”

Usher says he won’t “pimp” photos of his new son to magazines

Unlike a lot of celebrities of late, R&B singer Usher actually has some integrity – at least when it comes to selling his kid. Usher says he won’t be “pimping” out his son to magazines for some quick cash. Lately seeing how much you can get for your baby has become quite the high priced, obsessive competition amongst celebrities. Diva Christina Aguilera was said to be pissed that her kid didn’t fetch as much as Nicole Richie’s.

Usher says that he doesn’t view his son that way, and won’t be selling him to the tabloids.

Finally, there’s one celebrity who refuses to cash in on parenthood by selling baby pictures to a magazine. “In no way would I ever pimp out my child for money,” Usher told Page Six. The pop singer - upset by rumors he was trying to sell photos of his infant son, Usher Raymond V, and eager to defend his wife, Tameka, and his upcoming album, “Here I Stand” - wants to set the record straight.

“I am livid that people talk about my child,” Usher told us. In fact, he has posed - for free - with his son for an “incredible” Father’s Day cover for Essence magazine.

“What makes you a man more than being a father to your child? I recognize I gave anonymity away when I became an artist, but to have people try to paint a horrible picture of what’s so beautiful - it’s obvious someone is trying to stop something so beautiful.”

[From Page Six]

Good for him. Last week Diane Clehane, a writer for the Huffington Post, wrote a very persuasive article blasting celebrities for looking at their new babies as paydays. She criticized J-Lo, Aguilera, and Richie for making exorbitant demands for the exclusive rights to photographs their infant.

Clehane noted that some couples conducted themselves with a great deal of dignity. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, Julia Roberts and Daniel Moder, and Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes all either offered photo ops for free, or donated the entire proceeds to charities. Hopefully Usher’s comments might sway other celebs to behave in a more dignified manner.

Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards: Too Much Miley, Not Enough Harrison Ford

If you have children, you were probably subjected to Nickelodeon’s 25th Annual Kid’s Choice Awards ceremony on Saturday night. You have my sincerest condolences. I, too, had to watch, and it was often eyeroll-inducing: lame banter between celebrity presenters; boring and unfunny “behind the scenes” skits; stupid slime stunts that dragged out the show even longer and wayyyy too much Disney product, in the form of Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers. Miley Cyrus won favorite female television star and favorite female musical artist, much to my daughter’s delight.

There were a few bright spots in the broadcast, including host Jack Black’s over-the-top opening musical number, in which he wore a bright green superhero costume and rocked out with a giant octopus playing guitar to the Kiss song “I Was Made for Loving You,” with the lyrics changed to “I Was Made for Sliming You.” (In my opinion, Black was the only funny, high-energy part of the show and should have been allowed to riff and get crazy even more.) The theme of each Kids’ Choice Awards, you see, is that celebs and kids in the audience get buckets of green slime poured on their heads at random moments. Slimed celebs included Harrison Ford, who recreated a famous scene from “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” which concluded with him being covered in green slime. Other mildly amusing segments included a celebrity belching contest that featured Jodie Foster attempting to burp along to the song “YMCA.”

All in all, the show had the same problems as most other awards shows: it went on too long, there was too much unfunny dialog, and the host didn’t get enough chances to do what he does best. But if you are at all interested in the winners, here they are.

Favorite TV Show: Drake and Josh
Favorite Reality Show: American Idol
Favorite TV Actor: Drake Bell (from Drake and Josh)
Favorite TV Actress: Miley Cyrus
Favorite Cartoon: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Favorite Movie: Alvin and the Chipmunks
Favorite Movie Actor: Johnny Depp
Favorite Movie Actress: Jessica Alba
Favorite Animated Movie: Ratatouille
Favorite Animated Voice: Eddie Murphy (Shrek The Third)
Favorite Music Group: The Jonas Brothers
Favorite Song: “Girlfriend” by Avril Lavigne
Favorite Female Singer: Miley Cyrus
Favorite Male Singer: Chris Brown
Favorite Male Athlete: Tony Hawk
Favorite Female Athlete: Danica Patrick
Favorite Book: Harry Potter Series
Favorite Video Game: Madden NFL 2008
Wannabe Award: Cameron Diaz

If anything, the Kids’ Choice Awards gives parents a glimpse into the music, movies, and other pop culture their kids like– which should scare the crap out of you. I know I had a hard time sleeping knowing that the youth of America wants to be just like Cameron Diaz.

Usher’s wife is back to her bitchy self again

Remember last year when rumors of Tameka Foster’s uber-bitchiness were all over the Internet, and Usher was trying to make everyone stop writing about her? The couple married, had a baby, and things were quiet for a while…probably because people stopped caring about Usher and his bridezilla. Well, now that Usher is trying to make a comeback, the rumor mill is turning again about Tameka, who had a serious issue with the beauty who co-starred with her husband in his new music video.

USHER’S wife, Tameka Foster, isn’t going to let any woman make moves on her man - even if that’s her job.

Foster was “domineering” and displayed her trademark “Tameka wrath” during a video shoot for Usher’s new song, “Love in the Club,” the weekend of March 15 in LA.

Our on-set source said Foster was upset when she found out stunning singer/songwriter Keri Hilson was personally picked by Usher to play his love interest in the video.

“It was supposed to be a sexy video shoot,” our spy said. “And Tameka was there the entire time guarding like a watchdog. It was ridiculous - she knows Keri and knows she’s no video ho or Karrine Steffans.” Steffans, nicknamed “Superhead,” wrote the book, “Video Vixen,” about her alleged flings with Usher and several other artists.

“Tameka is very insecure,” our source said. “Even in rehearsals she was weird and clearly not happy that Keri is so gorgeous. Tameka threw a lot of attitude. The day of the shoot, Tameka dressed Keri very badly - she looked like an extra. Tameka wouldn’t let Keri have her hairdresser there - she had to use the hairdresser who was doing the extras.”

Foster also took a dislike to Usher’s longtime choreographer, Jamaica, and banned her from the set. When Usher and Foster were spotted at the Beverly Hills Hotel last week, “They barely said one word to each other,” we’re told.

The two have had a choppy past. After they got engaged, Usher fired his mom, Jonetta Patton, as his manager and also axed his publicists. “Tameka was the one and only one to call the shots,” spies said.

[From Page Six]

Usher is doomed as long as he stays with this hag. Her insecurity and “all about me” attitude are going to sabotage his career at every turn. Besides, any man who chooses a woman over his own mother, long time friends and trusted business partners is destined for disaster. Well, the state of his career can’t all be Tameka’s fault– his new song really sucks.

Usher And Tameka Foster Welcome A Baby Boy

usherboy.jpg
Usher and wife Tameka Foster have welcomed to the world a son.

Usher and his wife, Tameka Foster, welcomed a baby boy at 9:30 p.m. Monday night, a representative for the singer has confirmed to MTV News. The baby weighed 7 pounds and 9 ounces.

Usher was with his wife and new son Tuesday (November 27) at an Atlanta hospital, and the family is expected to head home on Wednesday, according to People.com.

[ MTV]

Usher has previously said if he had a son he’d name him Usher Raymond V, as Usher himself is the forth in his family. He did add that he might change his son’s middle name, probably because Usher is the first famous Usher, and it’s not always nice to be named after a famous person, particularly when it’s your dad.

Tameka’s pregnancy hasn’t been without it’s drama, the couple’s wedding was called off in July after a scare. The pair married privately on August 3rd and again on September 1st.

Congratulations to the new parents! Hopefully they take things a little easier next year.

Usher is converting to Scientology

If you thought Usher couldn’t get any more douchy after threatening to sue one of his biggest fansites for reprinting negative articles about his pregnant tranny wife that originated somewhere else - you were wrong. Usher is said to be converting to Tom Cruise’s cult, Scientology.

Usher even wants his baby to be raised in the traditions of the cult. It’s doubtful he grasps what it entails since he’s learning about Scientology by going through the gradual process of getting brainwashed and bilked out of his cash by the cult itself instead of just spending 10 minutes reading about it on the Internet like the rest of us. That means that even if Usher comes to his senses and realizes that Scientology is only going to ruin his life, he can’t really speak out against them because they’ve already gathered enough incriminating information about him in the auditing process to threaten him with for the rest of his life. Maybe that’s really why Seinfeld said it was so awesome - so they wouldn’t reveal the average gay experience he had in college.

It looks like Scientology is adding another celebrity to it’s ranks… Usher! “He’s so excited,” a source close to the singer tells Star, “He’s in training now.” The reason: fatherhood! “He thinks it’s important to raise his baby as a Scientology,” says the source. Usher, who is expecting a boy with new wife Tameka Foster any day now, is so serious that he co-chaired a $1,500-a-plate fundraiser for both his New Look Foundation and Scientology’s controversial New York City Rescue Workers Detoxification Project in Las Vegas on November 3. The project claims to help Ground Zero workers detox with the help of saunas and vitamins instead of medication. Meanwhile, über-Scientologist Tom Cruise sits on the board of Usher’s foundation, which tries to assist “underserved communities” through social programs.

[From Star Magazine, print edition, November 26, 2007]

It sounds like Tom Cruise was instrumental in getting Usher involved in Scientology since he’s on the board of Usher’s charitable foundation. Maybe Usher stupidly thought it would be good for his career.

Does this mean that Tameka has to resist the urge to yell at Usher during the birth, and will little Usher the umpteenth have to be fed barley water instead of breast milk or formula? All jokes aside, Usher is an ass but he doesn’t deserve to get sucked into Scientology. Best wishes to Usher and his family for a quick and uneventful exit from the cult that doesn’t involve intimidation or blackmail.

Usher is shown on 11/3/07 hosting “an Evening at LAX Nightclub in Las Vegas” thanks to PRPhotos.

Usher & Tamkea Foster tell the world about their love. Blech

tto-002950.jpg

Usher and Tameka Foster make me ill. Mostly because – by most accounts – she’s the devil, and he has no freaking clue. He’s all, “Love the satanic beast that’s carrying my child, world, or I will smite my fans and tell them off.” Alright that’s my reinterpretation, but I think it’s pretty close to the real thing. Usher and Maneka have given an interview to Essence, in which they talk about their shock – shock! – that people had such a negative reaction to their relationship. It’s a classic “What’s wrong with all of you?” type of articles.

“Usher and his new wife, Tameka Foster, say they were taken aback by all the rumors that swirled about their relationship this summer – but in the end, it made them stronger as a couple. ‘Ours is not a typical love story, but it is a true one,’ Usher tells Essence magazine for its November issue. ‘Tameka and I have been fortunate enough to go through the thick of it in the beginning. We’ve had that opportunity to huddle up as a team, to make sure that we’re clear and speak as one voice.’

“Usher and Foster were married Aug. 4 in a simple ceremony in Atlanta, after canceling a more lavish event in the Hamptons – and enduring speculation about their commitment to each other and the support they were getting from their families. The couple, who are expecting a son, were stunned by the negative press. ‘It was like, wow,’ says Usher, who turned 29 on Sunday. ‘[Getting married] and having a child is something that everyone should celebrate. What’s happened to us as a culture and a people?’”

[From People]

Um, what’s happened to us is that you married a gold-digging tranny, and everyone but you can see it. Even your mama, who failed to show up to any of your weddings. I think the real reason they called off the first wedding was they found out it’s illegal for a man to marry a pre-op transsexual in New York. Well at least in the Hamptons.

And who else were the haters and the doubters, besides yours truly?

“Foster, 37, reveals that the doubters even included some of her friends. ‘Thank God I didn’t listen to my girlfriends,’ she says. ‘Usher was my road dawg. I’d seen him love, and I’d watched him date women who were not worthy of him. He was so sweet, going out of his way to cater to their every need. And I’d see them not even be grateful.’ She adds that their love is based on complete openness – something she hasn’t experienced in her romantic life before. ‘I feel totally uninhibited with Usher,’ Foster says. ‘I’ve never been in a situation with anyone, even as far back as high school, where there were no secrets. I know I can tell him anything and he’s not going to judge me. I can finally share my dreams. And because of that, I know that man loves me.’

“That bond will only grow, Usher says, after the birth of their son. ‘Tameka’s given me one of the greatest gifts I’ll ever have,’ he says. ‘With a child, now I have purpose. I understand love.’”

[From People]

“Road dawg?” Is that an urban way of saying roadkill? If so, Tameka your face is my road dawg. And really, your love is the truest of romances and knows no bounds. Even though your families and friends hate you two as a couple. And your fans. Well, Usher’s fans. Let’s be honest, even the one mounted in the bathroom wouldn’t really be Tameka’s fan if it had a choice. That fan is just there to get rid of what I can only assume is a crazy amount of gas. You know, because she’s really a man. And they have more gas. Okay it’s Monday, I can’t promise the jokes will get any better.

Usher having a boy - Tameka may pop a Vicodin

top-agm-006823.jpg

Usher’s much-talked about wish for a son will come true – he told People magazine that he and new wife/possible man Tameka Foster are expecting a son. Earlier this month, Usher told Ellen Degeneres that he’s hoping for a boy and said, ““I think every man wants a son. He’s own little own doll. If it’s a boy, I’m going to name him Usher. I’m hoping to name him that. I’ve been playing with a few names. I’m the fourth. Usher Raymond the fourth. I just want to pass the name on. Maybe I’ll change the middle name.” All right… I wasn’t quite so aware that every man wanted his own little doll, but whatever. Apparently Usher will get just that. Usher Jr Jr Jr is going to have some serious roman numerals after his name.

“Newlyweds Usher and Tameka Foster are going to have a boy, he revealed to PEOPLE Tuesday.

“When asked what he is looking forward to most about being a new dad, Usher, 28, said his desires are pretty basic.

“‘I just want my son to fully be coherent and to be healthy, first and foremost,’ he told PEOPLE at the USHER for Men and USHER for Women fragrance launch party at Cipriani in Manhattan.

“‘I’ve found that it is a step-by-step process. You can wish for a million and one things. But I hope that my son has the same energy I had as a child,’ Usher said. ‘Hopefully, he won’t be as bad as me. I hope that he’s just a healthy son.’

[From People]

Usher wants his baby to be fully coherent? Like he’s hoping to have a discussion with the kid from the get go, or just that the kid’s eyes move? I think it was just an odd choice of words, but it leaves me wondering what he’s expecting from the kid nonetheless.

And for those of you wondering about wife Maneka Foster, and how she’s going to push a kid out of her penis, here’s some info on her pregnancy so far.

“‘Mom-to-be, Foster, 37, told PEOPLE she’s feeling “beautiful” but having odd cravings.

“‘I eat ice all day,’ she said. ‘It’s a weird thing. I love it. Now I’m thinking about ice. I want to find some ice.’

“Foster also admits that while she’s aiming for a natural birth, it might not happen.

“‘I don’t want drugs,’ she said. ‘I’ll try. I say that now. You call me about ten hours into labor. I’ll be asking for everything. Vicodin and everything.’”

[From People]

Tameka Foster wants some Vicodin? Look at the shock on my face. Damn girl, I know you mean that as a joke, but with your crazy-ass history of dating drug dealers, chilling in jail, and threatening to kill you sister-in-law, popping a few Vicodin before you pop the kid out doesn’t seem so far fetched.
