Prince William wore long sleeves when he received his first vaccine dose this week

Royal Wedding Alert! Princess Beatrice is engaged to property tycoon Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi **FILE PHOTOS**

We’ve been lowkey speculating about whether or not the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge quietly received their Covid vaccinations months ago, just because they had not said anything about it. The Queen, the late Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Camilla all received their vaccines and confirmed it publicly months ago, yet there was radio silence from the Keenbridges. Well, here we go. Kensington Palace wants us to know that William got his first shot. The KP social media posted the above photo with this message: “On Tuesday I received my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. To all those working on the vaccine rollout – thank you for everything you’ve done and continue to do.”

I mean… the aesthetics are classic Baldingham. Americans were so excited about vaccine fashion, we made a whole thing about cutaway blouses, or wearing short sleeves or sleeveless tops to our vaccination appointments. But here’s William, wearing long-sleeved layers! Gross. And I spent too much time wondering if the collared shirt underneath his sweater is actually a dickie. But there you go, UK. (The comments under the tweet are really funny and dumb though – anti-Vaxxers are mad at him, people are calling him a “virtue signaler” and pro-Vaxxers are upset that he held up the line by wearing long sleeves and stopping for a photo.)

In all seriousness, I’m glad he got the vaccine and I hope his public confirmation of his vaccination is a signal to vaccine skeptics around the world. It’s also better late than never for William to take the pandemic seriously. Months after the fact, we learned that William had some kind of severe case of the coronavirus last March/April, where he was having problems breathing and he was bed-ridden. The fact that we only found out months later and that Kensington Palace tried to make him sound heroic for suffering in silence was… an odd choice for the future future king in the middle of a global public health crisis. William had stepped into sh-t weeks before his own Covid diagnosis too, joking about the impending pandemic with first responders and suggesting that those emergency workers will be watching a lot of TV. And don’t even forget about the Keenbridges’ maskless super-spreader tour last winter! Jesus that was awful.

“ Kensington Palace tried to make him sound heroic for suffering in silence was”

That just sums up the royal family though. That’s their life motto. Suffer in silence. Maintain a stiff upper lip no matter what. Such a horrible mindset to have in this day and age.

    • Cecilia says:

Which makes it all the more puzzling that they want to profile themselves as mental health experts

    • Kalana says:

They don’t suffer in silence. They have other people do their dirty work for them. The “stiff upper lip” thing is nonsense and a myth when it comes to the BRF.

    • Harper says:

TOB knew he’d be roasted for getting covid after being caught joking about it. That’s why he kept it private. Charles released the info when he had covid and was criticized for going to Scotland at the same time. TOB is terrified of bad press.

    • Merricat says:

Lol. Suffer in silence, but notify the press!

    • Maria says:

It definitely is their “motto” but they sure don’t live up to it with all the yowling and teeth-gnashing they do!

    • Demi says:

Ah why anyone would look up to these people seriously they hid the fact he had covid because he probably was out&about doing engagements then he caught the virus. You would think they would learn & be careful NO they went on a useless train tour despite advice.. The queen, kate still shows up maskless from time to time. Good he had the vax though

    • Curious says:

i still want to know how William got Covid19 while living with his wife and 3 children.. never read anything about them being panic about it . William got Covid19 and his wife and 3 children are super immune. not a hint of them even getting a cold. so who was William with, and where was he living when this happened.

      • Curious says:

when a family member have Covid19 everyone is tested in that home.. everyone William met will be tested. never read anything about Catherine and their children getting tested , cause William had Covid19.

  2. Catherine says:

Why would they make a big production out of him getting the vaccine that didn’t include Kate. They are in the same age group so she’s eligible. Are they going to milk this for two separate photo ops?

    • Becks1 says:

That was my other thought as well – did Kate not get hers?

      • (The OG) Jan90067 says:

*Adjusting my tin foil tiara here*: I STILL think they DID get theirs earlier, along with the rest of the Rotten Royal family, and this is just a show, with a bit of saline solution in the jab. This is why you’re not seeing Can’t getting her’s along with him. She had hers already.

My *alternate* theory is that if he did have a more moderate case of Covid, now is about the time the antibodies seem to wane (after a couple of months), so NOW HE is able to be jabbed, while Kate and the rest had theirs back in Jan./Feb/March. I still think he was “gardening” around Norfolk around the time he was infected which is how Kate and the Kids didn’t get sick. He was “isolating” at Sandringham which he decided to stay at after (w/Complicit Granny’s permission).

    • Traci says:

I saw that the Danish royal got his vaxx and posted it a couple of days ago. He was alone in the photo with a short message. Willy probably saw that and wanted to copy it.

    • Sure says:

She’ll get vaccinated on the 21st to piggyback/ draw attention away from The Me You Can’t See.

      • Cecilia says:

I do wonder about that because they have that tour of scotland coming on the 21st right? Maybe we’ll get some info today. I wouldn’t be surprised if they drop a pic today with kate in a chair getting her vaccine, right in time for that tour

      • Sure says:

She’ll join him on the 25th so a photo op on the 21st is possible.

      • Genevieve says:

She has no problem releasing photos/videos from much earlier though, so she could’ve been vaccinated, and plans to release the pics later. (eye roll)

      • Merricat says:

Kate couldn’t draw attention if she had a blueprint and tracing paper.

  3. Lauren says:

Good that he got vaccinated and released the pictures to the public. I would love if next time (I hope not anytime soon) he avoids making fun of pandemics and people worried Bout getting sick.

    • (The OG) Jan90067 says:

IF this IS him getting his first shot now (and not an OLD photo), it is even MORE egregious that he was walking around others for SO LONG W/OUT A MASK!!! SMDH. Not just risking his/their lives, but risking taking it back home to his kids (if he isn’t living at Sandringham alone anymore).

      • Detnow359 says:

THANK YOU!!!! That was my first thought when I saw these photos. I would have thought he was already vaccinated the way he has paraded around maskless. But who knows he could have already been vaccinated. Maybe this is another PR attempt by them and he’s getting injected with saline.

    • Heat says:

In fairness, though (and I’m really stretching), the comment was made on March 3, 2020. No one was really taking it seriously at that point. Even when things shut down two weeks after that, everyone thought that we’d be back to normal in less than a month.

      • Becks1 says:

I do remember even on here people were like “but it is overblown” but those were people who weren’t paying attention to the fact that thousands of people had already died. I think Italy was in full shutdown at that point in time. Lots of people WERE taking it seriously at that point, it was just due to poor leadership that the US wasn’t (and never really did under Trump unfortunately.) There was plenty of evidence that it was going to hit the UK hard. William should have shut his mouth.

      • Lauren says:

I live in Italy, for us, the situation went to hell at the end of February. The first cases were discovered on the 21st of February, by the beginning of March we were already in lockdown and there were quite a few EU countries sort of mocking Italy (saying that we were panicking uselessly or that Italians were using the excuse of the lockdown to not work), UK included.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

Lauren, I was horrified by what happened in Italy. I remember reading something several months later that said that Italy had lost “a generation of grandparents”.

  4. Becks1 says:

Well, I’ll admit, I’m someone who thought he had gotten the vaccine months ago, so its nice to see that he did wait his turn. He definitely made an odd choice in clothing though for the vaccine – why not just wear a polo shirt or something? I tested my clothes both times to make sure they worked for a shot lol (the first time I wore a cardigan and tank, second time I wore a big sweater but it was baggy and v-neck and I could pull it off my shoulder very easily. Like I said, I tested.)

The comments to it are kind of hilarious though. Is there an anti-Covid-vax movement in the UK?

    • Haylie says:

Andrew Wakefield was a British doctor. After his whole “vaccines cause autism” fraud, I’m sure there’s an anti-vax community in the UK.

      • Becks1 says:

I’d forgotten he was British, so that would make sense unfortunately.

      • TQ says:

Yeah, there are a fair number of anti-vaxxers in the UK. There have been protests etc, including Jeremy Corbyn’s brother. But the majority of people here are getting vaccinated (although many older folks wanted ‘The British one’, i.e. AstraZeneca, instead of Pfizer! Now under 40s are getting mostly Pfizer or at least the option)

      • The Hench says:

The latest stats I saw (although stats can be made to fit pretty much anything) is that Brits are 90% in favour of vaccines – I think the highest rate in Europe. Of course there are pockets of anti vax nonsense but we are much more compliant than, say, France, the equivalent stat for which was 40%.

Either way, the majority of us are, in good British fashion, queuing up to get our jabs.

    • Haylie says:

So the British tabloids wanted pregnant Meghan to travel to Philip’s funeral around a bunch of non-vaccinated royals?

      Cool story.

    • LadyMTL says:

I actually spoke with a guy friend of mine who lives in the UK and he said he didn’t get his vaccine yet because he was concerned about what the long-term effects might be (plus he’s one of these ‘don’t trust the government’ types.) I basically lost it because A: he works in a grocery, B: both of his parents are considered high risk, and C: he has niblings who are still way too young to get vaccinated.

Anyway, long story short I pretty much tore his arguments to shreds, and he told me that I convinced him and he’ll make an appointment soon. Whether or not he does, only time will tell, lol.
As for Willy, I just kind of shrugged. So he wore long sleeves, it’s yet another dumb move but at least he got his shot.

    • Ang says:

There is just NO way he is just now getting vaccinated; absolutely NO way. He’s been vaccinated for months. This is all fake and for show, like everything they do. Do you guys really think he’s not been vaccinated in his position?

      • Dl says:

I agree. This is for show. Hope it convinces people to get the vaccine though. I believe they all got stuck when the Queen got hers. That would make sense.

  5. Sure says:

I think a certain segment on a certain late night TV show made a certain someone feel like he had to up his guns.

    • Midnight@theOasis says:

      😂🤣😂🤣I agree.

    • Tilewa says:

I’m missing the reference…..what is this referring to?

      • Lady D says:

I’m guessing it is in reference to James Corden’s late night show where he and an in-incredibly-good-shape Harry did an Army obstacle course together (which Harry aced). I don’t have the link, but it’s a truly delightful video. It was followed by William struggling to walk a beam, surrounded by helpful teenagers and adults to make sure he didn’t fall.

      • Bananie says:

I think @Sure is talking about how impressive (and sexy! and capable!) Harrys rope climb was on James Corden and the best Wm can do is smush up his sleeve and *try* to flex.

      • Bananie says:

and all i can picture is that bit in Anchor Man when he’s counting his bicep curls…”Oh, I can barely lift my right arm ’cause I did so many. I don’t know if you heard me counting. I did over a thousand.”

    • notasugarhere says:

Esp after the dragging from SussexSquad of William being supported by a dozen people while trying to walk a balance beam.

  6. Emily says:

I’m surprised we don’t have a Kate photo op. I wonder if she was maybe able to get hers earlier for health reasons but they don’t want to tell us that because then they’d have to tell us what the health reasons are.

    • Becks1 says:

I was thinking that – that she qualified earlier so they aren’t sharing that bc they don’t want people asking – or that they don’t want pictures of her with her sleeves rolled up, considering she’s gone out of her way in to cover her arms in the past year.

      • Snuffles says:

This. Her arms probably look dangerously thin.

      • Nic919 says:

I’m pretty sure it’s because they don’t want to show her arms. Because it is odd that the happily married couple couldn’t get it done together.

      • Merricat says:

        +1

      • notasugarhere says:

Nic919, builds on the oddness that only the husband of the ‘happily married couple’ got COVID-19, and was so ill he was bedridden for days. Of course it makes perfect sense if you accept the idea they’ve lived separately most of the pandemic.

      • My Two Cents says:

I was thinking the same. She really looks TOO thin in these last photos, also the funeral PR photos. Keeping in mind that the camera adds 10 pounds, it’s really worrisome. I’m surprised it’s not mentioned anywhere. And this is not body-shaming but real concern.

      • swirlmamad says:

Know what? I bet this is exactly it. She or the powers that be do not want her showing off her arms, for reasons we can all guess.

      • SarahCS says:

I was thinking it’s about not showing her arms. While TOB is flexing his guns to make a point (because climbing a rope would be too obvious even for these jokers), I don’t think Kate want’s us to see hers at all.

      • Charfromdarock says:

I think that’s most likely the reason. She seems to be disappearing in front of the world.

  7. Jan says:

Biden really did a job getting the vaccines out, the FDA approved the Pfizer vaccine for children 12-16 yrs last Monday and by Tuesday children were getting the vaccine.
My friend in France got her first dose Tuesday, cousin in Canada got her first dose last week and may get her second dose at the end of August, she said they’re trying for everyone to get the first dose.

  8. Tanguerita says:

I forgot about this cringy video. My God, he is really a proper dick.

    • nutella toast says:

Yeah….I forgot how truly awful that video was. It should be played over and over for all the people who struggled, suffered, and lost loved ones during the pandemic every time they do the “future keen king” thing.

    • Myra says:

He said it at a time that many had already lost their lives and the virus had already reached Europe. A true statesman he is.

  9. GuestWho says:

I think he is wearing a dickie…you’d be able to see the shirt sleeve on the pulled up arm if it was there. Maybe it’s a short-sleeved dress shirt – equally egregious.

Good for him getting his shot.

    • Kalana says:

I just saw @Mouse’s comment. William is wearing a short-sleeved shirt or already rolled up shirt, so then why wear the long-sleeved top over it knowing he was going to get a shot? What a weird thing to do.

  10. Plums says:

good on him tbh, and not gonna give him shit for the long sleeves. If you can roll it up easily enough, it’s just as appropriate as anything else imo. And honestly I don’t thing I’ve ever seen him in anything but long sleeves. I don’t think he owns anything different.

    • Mouse says:

Good call on the short sleeve shirt.
Looking more closely, you can see where the sleeve ends on the other arm.

Edit: oops I meant this for guestwho above

    • notasugarhere says:

When you know you’re going for a vaccine, it is only logical to wear sleeveless or short sleeves. If you are cold, wear a coat. In long sleeves, all you’re doing is making the vaccinator’s job more difficult (from friends who are in the health care profession).

      • notasugarhere says:

Were they happy you were ponyup and getting vaccinated? Sure. Are they thrilled with idiots who deliberately make their job more difficult by not following the guideline to wear short sleeves? No. Their jobs are difficult enough, but you’re happy to make it just that much harder for them. To each their own.

      • Legalese says:

I wore long sleeves both times I got vaccinated. It was literally no big deal. It takes maybe 10 seconds tops to roll your sleeves up. No one cared. Not sure where you live, but where I do there are not massive lines with people getting upset because the person in front of them took an extra 10 seconds.

Geesh. People have lives and aren’t necessarily planning their day around a 20 minute appointment.

      • notasugarhere says:

Multiple friends and a dozen extended family members in the medical professions disagree that it is ‘no big deal’. But whatever. Those who choose to make others’ lives more difficult, choose to do so.

      • HeatherC says:

I got my first shot in March when it was still quite chilly out. I wore a zippered hoodie and a tee shirt. When it was my turn, I shrugged off the hoodie and pushed up my little tee shirt sleeve. Got the shot and pulled my hoodie back on. Also in my state (at the time, now there are walk ups) COVID vaccines were by appointment. My block was me and three other people.

At least he got his vaccine and did it publicly to encourage others to do so. This is what he should be doing. (And his sleeve appeared easy to roll/push up)

But a TRUE statesman would have revealed his COVID infection earlier as encouragement to abide by masking/social distancing recommendations/laws.

And not gone on the Pandemic Express tour.

I’m more concerned about the nurse (?) not wearing gloves when giving an injection!
(here in the US, it’s not necessarily a nurse that gives the injection, could be a pharmacist for example)

    • Dilettante says:

      Short sleeved shirts are NOCD

    • EMc says:

I give Covid vaccines every day, thats my job. If your long sleeve shirt rolls all the way up easily without it creating a tourniquet situation, I don’t care. If it’s a button up and it only rolls up to your elbow and you ask me if thats far enough, then I get annoyed. Lots of women wear long sleeves that are loose and easy to slide up or pull down off the shoulder. It looks fine to me.

      • HeatherC says:

Do you wear gloves when giving an injection? I know I do.

(Sorry, I’m a nurse. I’m more stuck on the bare hands of the administrator than William’s arm or sleeve)

  11. aquarius64 says:

FFK should have gotten the shot a long time ago. I think the crisis managers told him to get in front of this.

    • Original Penguin says:

To be fair it only became available for his (and mine) age group this week

  12. Eurydice says:

Huh, I had no idea vaccine fashion was a thing. Around here the last thing anyone was thinking is what to wear at a mass vaccination site – they were just happy the vaccine was available and they could get an appointment.

    • Golly Gee says:

I don’t know anything about the fashion part, but here it was recommended to wear short sleeves to speed up the process as there are lineups.

      • Becks1 says:

I can’t roll all my sleeves up enough to get the vaccine because my arms have gotten, um, a little thicker over the past year or so, lol. So I had to test to make sure they could get to my arm easily.

      • Eurydice says:

Here it was a scramble to get appointments. I got a call to be at the vax site in 1 hour. Nobody said anything about what I should wear, just bring an ID – it was freezing cold out so I wore a long sleeved sweater. No problem rolling up the sleeves, the nurse was very nice and even took time to chat with me before and after, so I wasn’t wasting her time with the 2 seconds it took to roll up my sleeve.

      • Becks1 says:

@Eurydice some places here were like that but I had my appointment a few weeks in advance. It was also mostly outdoors so I had to dress warm.

I don’t think not wearing short sleeves is the worst thing William has ever done, but he def could have worn short sleeves if it occurred to him, he has worn polos and such in public before so its not like people would have been shocked at seeing the royal arm.

I’m mostly hung up on the fact that this is the same sweater from his anniversary pics. Does he not have more blue sweaters?!?!?!

      • Eurydice says:

@Becks1 – I don’t think it’s the same sweater – the anniversary one had a little stripe across the cuff. He must really have a lot of blue sweaters. What I’m more hung up on is the rigid way Wills is holding his arm and sort of pressing his hand into his abdomen – like he’s flexing the royal forearm and bicep.

    • Lemon says:

If it doesn’t take you more than a couple of seconds to roll up your sleeve it’s not a big deal. You can roll them up in the waiting area.

  13. Amy Bee says:

Has William ever worn a T- shirt? I don’t remember seeing him wear one. Anyway it’s good he got the vaccine considering his initial comments about COVID. The press always portrayed him as the smart one but I think the last few years has shown that he’s really the one who’s stupid.

    • Becks1 says:

We have seen him wear polo shirts, but those are all for sporty events (the sailing regatta, polo matches, etc). His usual MO in warmer weather for events is to roll up a long sleeve shirt.

Is this the same sweater he wore for his anniversary pics and his goat farm visit? It looks like it, it makes me wonder if the collar is just that – a collar attached to the shirt.

also I hope the tabs speculate about how much his watch cost, lol.

      • Kale says:

It’s the watch he has been wearing for ages, a present from his mother 🙄

      • Becks1 says:

@Kale that should make no difference to the tabs, it didn’t make a difference for anything Meghan wore.

    • notasugarhere says:

Frederik of Denmark just got vaccinated too, logically wearing a short sleeve tshirt.

  14. Ginger says:

I am sure William getting the vaccine has upset his core fanbase.

    • Nomegusta says:

I just don’t understand. If he was vaxxed, why were him and his wife around children from a low income area that had less access to healthcare.

I feel like they’re lying, that was some sugar water and they were all vaccinated in prep for Phillip’s inevitable passing.

      • Kalana says:

I think the royals were first in line to get the vaccine last year. They did not let an unvaccinated Will and Kate do the covid train tour and then head straight to an unvaccinated Queen at Windsor.

      • notasugarhere says:

And why have they been parading around without masks long before they were vaccinated?

      • swirlmamad says:

Unless this photo was from months ago……

      • February-Pisces says:

I definitely believe they both got vaxed before the trainwreck tour. There is no way they would have let peasants breathe all over them. This pic could have been taken weeks ago and this may have been the second shot.

  15. Hirut says:

Oh my God. Every time I see this clip I wonder why no one has banned the Windsor bully never to open his mouth . If formless was a being it would be William the future, future bully king

    • Lady D says:

Someone suggested recently that Kate was the human equivalent of background noise. These two really are a match made in heaven.

  16. Andrew’s Nemesis says:

Long sleeves, mocking nursing staff, joking about superspreading events, lying by omission about his Covid diagnosis – not the hallmarks of intelligence, are they? But then, PWT has always come across as being dumb as a cupboard – wasn’t he a Scullion’s Scholar, and had others complete his degree work for him?

    • Kalana says:

The monarchy is decidedly not a meritocracy. It is a creepy system where we celebrate someone waiting for others to die so a position can be inherited.

Intelligence not required, just perpetual incandescent rage about being outshined.

      • Andrew’s Nemesis says:

@Kalana Not just that, but they hand out crowns based on whose birth canal an individual was shoved out. For this, these people believe they’re divinely chosen and their actions ordained by God, they’re aggressively entitled, they think others should be honoured to be around them – it stinks. Why is it that the most worthless in our societies are the ones most celebrated?!

    • Lady D says:

Had to look up Scullion’s Scholars. Would you recommend the books, Andrew’s Nemesis? They sound funny and entertaining.

      • Andrew’s Nemesis says:

@Lady D I wouldn’t only recommend the books, I’d say they’re essential reading – ooh, and DO watch the TV series with David Jason. It is simply hilarious!!

    • Jaded says:

I love Tom Sharpe but haven’t read the Scullions books yet. The Wilt books and Blott on the Landscape are a scream.

  17. Sofia says:

His outfit choice doesn’t bother me. He seems well toned judging by his arms and if him taking the vaccine convinces some monarchists who weren’t going to take it, to take it then I consider that a good thing.

And yeah was surprised why there wasn’t no Kate announcement. Maybe it’ll come later but I don’t see why they didn’t announce both of them at the same time because I’m assuming they got it at the same time, no?

    • Kale says:

I don’t know why you are all assuming they both had their appointments at the same time. My husband and I are the same age and went different days. But hey, conspiracy theories are more interesting 🤷🏻‍♀️

      • Merricat says:

Are you and your husband the ffk and his consort? Were you photographed getting the vaccine? But sure, the Cambridges were unable to schedule an appointment together. Lol. Because they’re so ordinary.

      • Kale says:

Oh so if they had had a joint appointment I’m sure nobody here would be complaining and saying that they were using their privilege. Well maybe that would less crazy than saying that they were vaccinated months ago and this was fake…

      • Merricat says:

Yes, people always have something to complain about, don’t they? But no crazier than insisting that everything Meghan did was wrong, no matter what it was and who else had already done it. You might be in the wrong place.

      • SurelyNot says:

I still believe they were vaccinated months ago — that aside I’m ok with this if it gets more vaccines in arms. If they roll Kate out next week for another dog and pony show getting a shot…so be it…keep it in front of people until everyone that can get a vaccine has one.

This is an odd thing to take exception to.

      • Merricat says:

I’m not taking exception to anything. I’m pleased when people are vaccinated.

      • Sofia says:

Why so annoyed? I was just asking a question and if you don’t like that then scroll past and ignore me.

      • SurelyNot says:

@ Merricat — I was wholeheartedly agreeing with you.

      • SarahJane says:

@merricat my husband and I got vaccinated months apart. And yes I did get my vaccine in front of cameras. Our company was the first in our industry to have a vaccination event. The press and politicians were there. I set the event up so I took the first shot so the workers would feel more comfortable. And I wore long sleeves. Life did not end

      • Jaded says:

Mr. Jaded and I got our first jabs together and are scheduled to get our second jabs together. The couple that gets a jab together is fab together.

    • notasugarhere says:

Sofia, it is another one of those curious things. They could easily have done this together, IF of course, they were still living together. Maybe the KP ‘crisis managers’ decided to do two separate events, so they can milk Kate’s vaccination later.

      • Claire says:

Why wouldn’t a person specifically schedule their jabs separate from their life partner? That way, if you or they suffer ill effects, the other is available to be supportive and helpful. Seems reasonable and logical to me.

      • notasugarhere says:

Aside from the dozen household staff, including housekeeper, cook, cleaners, and three nannies to take care of them should they sicken? Since theirs are clearly not being scheduled the same way as the peons, they made a choice to make this about PR after his two big COVID SNAFUs earlier.

  18. LMG says:

Is anyone else distracted by his well-defined arm?

    • Maria says:

Nah, the face and personality cancel it out for me.

    • Merricat says:

      Lol. No.

      • LMG says:

I feel like the first thing that catches my eye is his balding head and not very attractive Windsor looks (he can’t help that, I know, I feel mean just saying it). He WAS so cute back in the day, wasn’t he? AND as you guys have said, he’s a huge dud of a personality. So the fact he didn’t have some straight generic or skinny arm threw me off.

      • Lady D says:

He looked so overly tan with the watering can video, but here his arm looks very white.

    • SurelyNot says:

He has always had a nice body IMO. I don’t find him heinous to look at though he was certainly more attractive with more hair.

    • notasugarhere says:

Looks like he straining to try to form a muscle. He and Kate both suffer from vanity, that’s for sure.

      • L84Tea says:

A part of me wonders if he’s been working out after seeing Harry climb that rope. Twitter made him an absolute laughing stock with that comparison video. Just thinking about it has me giggling.

      • swirlmamad says:

I definitely can see him frantically lifting weights in an attempt to compete with Harry after the rope climb. LMAO

      • Becks1 says:

I think he’s always worked out regularly (remember he used to work out with the school mums at the gym after the school run lol). I mean, he doesnt have a whole lot else to do.

    • Kalana says:

William is racist trash. Raise your standards.

    • Kalana says:

      .

  19. Joan says:

They are going on a tour to Scotland, but have only received one dose?

  20. SurelyNot says:

I would have bet money they were all vaccinated months ago and I still pretty much believe that, especially knowing that Phillip was going to kick it. Maybe this was just for PR or, like someone mentioned above, to reach a certain segment of people that may have been hesitant.

As for not getting them as a couple, the Mr. and I didn’t either because I was eligible 4 months before he was, though if that’s the case they aren’t likely to tell us why.

Finding fault with the sleeves is a real reach.

    • Sofia says:

The Cambridges both became eligible at the same time. They opened it to 38/39 year olds last week.

    • notasugarhere says:

SurelyNot, given the number of friends and family I have in the medical field who are hacked off at idiots who don’t dress properly for this? Yes, the sleeves do matter, It shows his typical disregard for everyone around him.

  21. Carty says:

Why is the person giving the shot not wearing gloves? When I got mine the health workers were decked out it total PPE

    • Lady D says:

So was mine. That is strange.

      • Becks1 says:

Even when I just get a flu shot the nurse is always wearing gloves.

      • HeatherC says:

As a nurse, I always wear gloves if I touch a patient, especially for an injection! That’s common infection control you learn first! Full PPE (gown/mask/gloves/eye protection or face shield) has become standard for anything COVID related, though sometimes the gown isn’t standard as of late.

    • Jaded says:

Because this is a faked photo op.

      • Kalana says:

        Bingo. Not even well-faked either.

I think someone nailed it when they said this photo was put out for the Scottish tour. William and Kate consider themselves frontline workers (lol) and would have been eligible earlier for the vaccine. That and they are royals and would have skipped the queue anyway.

    • swirlmamad says:

Great point. I got my shots at a drive-thru vaccine clinic, and the nurse who administered it was wearing scrubs, mask, gloves, etc and had a cart with the shot + necessary supplies and did it thru my car window. Even that was more sanitary!

  22. Lovesitinnm says:

Wow! That times video is awful! My god, no this man will never be king. He’s put all the nails in his own coffin.
Can you imagine? Goading first line workers of a deadly pandemic to agree that the media has overhyped the virus. I’m floored.

  23. TheOriginalMia says:

Surprised they didn’t jump the line and get vaccinated before now. His choice of a long sleeve shirt is funny. Before taking mine, the health department sent out an email letting me know I needed to wear something easily accessible for the injection.

    • notasugarhere says:

And you, being a thoughtful person, followed that advice and dressed appropriately. But William, like Kate, never spares a thought for anyone other than themselves. Take the time to dress in a short sleeve shirt? Too much bother for William.

      • Brandy Alexander says:

Maybe it’s cold there? It was cold when I got mine, and I wore long sleeves. The people administering it didn’t give one flying fig that I didn’t have short sleeves on. It doesn’t seem like it was a problem for him to roll his sleeve up. There are legitimate things to dunk on him for, but dear lord wearing long sleeves to get your vaccination is not it.

      • TheOriginalMia says:

Thanks, nota. I knew there were others who were in line to get theirs and I didn’t want to delay the process. I was just so grateful to get mine in February when I did. I mean…yes, it was cold, but I wore a zippered hoodie and put it back on after I was done.

      • notasugarhere says:

BA, they didn’t give a flying fig or weren’t allowed to show they did? When people fail to value the time of health professionals in this one simple way, given what they’ve been through in the last year? Yes, it does matter.

TheOriginalMia, I dug out the summer clothes and found a sleeveless shirt to put under my warm jacket. Anything to make their job as easy as possible.

  24. L84Tea says:

Will got those toned arms from working out with all the yummy mummies.

  25. Coco says:

Maybe he wore long sleeves because he’s only focused enough to work out one arm to show off muscles, and his other arm is all flabby.

  26. L84Tea says:

Deleted due to post I was responding to was deleted.

  27. Becks1 says:

it seems weird to visit a site that is about gossip, and then write a long post chastising people, including the writers, for…..gossiping.

  28. Amelie says:

I know we don’t like him but I am not gonna lie, his well toned and defined arm threw me for a loop. I had no idea he was hiding that under there lol. If I didn’t know who he was and he was wearing a mask… just kidding hahaha.

And his age group just became eligible in the UK, so I don’t see why he would lie about getting the vaccine and secretly get it beforehand. My friend who lives in the UK just got her first shot yesterday as she recently became eligible, she is 33. She has dual British-US citizenship and planning on spending part of the summer here in the States so she’s scheduling her second shot here, instead of waiting the 3 or 4 months between shots in the UK.

    • swirlmamad says:

I can definitely believe the two of them got the shot months ago — taking photos and sitting on them until now when their age group is eligible, just to make themselves look better. If we saw this pic 3-4 months ago, that’s just fodder for more resentment towards the royals and their perks and special treatment.

  29. L4frimaire says:

I’m surprised he’s only just getting vaccinated now. My 12yo just got her first shot last week, and every adult we know has gotten it ( except my weirdo BIL).

  30. TheOriginalMia says:

The more I look at this picture, the more questions I have. Why is the nurse administering the shot not wearing gloves? He’s touching William’s arm with his bare hand. That’s completely unprofessional and out of character for a medical professional. Where is Kate? Perfect opportunity for the FFMs to showcase their support for vaccinations. Completely missed opportunity. Even the Bidens & Harris/Emhoff did theirs together. Why did William wait so long to get the vaccine? If we’re at the stage that teens can get it, he could have gotten his earlier. Say around the time of the funeral when he knew he’d be in close proximity to his grandmother. I’m just saying I’m suspicious of the timing of this photo and believe this was either taken earlier than they are saying or this is his 2nd dose before Scotland.

    • swirlmamad says:

Apparently, in the UK their age group has not been eligible until now, but there is no way the royals, especially the FFK, would not all be pushed to the head of the line months ago. I’m with you that the timing of this photo op is kinda suspect.

  31. nicegirl says:

    As an elegant man does

  32. Over it says:

I keep asking myself, where did his looks go?

  33. Seraphina says:

he is so out of touch with reality.

  34. Sunday says:

I just have so many questions. KP obviously wants us to believe that will (and kate, probably) has waited until his age group was eligible to receive the vaccine in the UK, and did not use his privilege to jump the line. But that means that every time he failed to wear a mask around NHS workers, schoolchildren, etc he was putting everyone at risk? And that he’s not going to wait the required 2 weeks after getting the shot before he starts traveling around Scotland tomorrow?

Plus, as others have pointed out, the person administering the shot is not wearing gloves which is absolutely against protocol, which makes it seem like it’s not a real shot but just a photo-op.

So, which is it? Is he “being responsible” about not jumping the vaccine line, which would make him completely irresponsible in his previous mask-less engagements and ill-advised travel before the 2-week time period is up? Or is he (poorly) staging a photo-op to try and preempt people from complaining about a Scotland superspreader tour 2.0? Either way it makes no sense, so another flawless job out of KP.

    • Sunday says:

also, when I got my shot, the nurse asked me to lower my arm (i.e. let my arm just hang down) instead of having it bent at the elbow like he does in the photo. While bending your arm and bracing your hand against your stomach helps flex your bicep, it is NOT what you’re supposed to do if you’re getting a shot. IMO that just adds more evidence that this was a photo-op and not him actually getting the vaccine.

  35. jferber says:

LMG, I noticed the “well-defined arm” too and I think it was vanity that William wore a long-sleeved shirt and did “a one-sleeve strip tease” (look up Rita Hayworth for the reference). He slowly rolled up that sleeve to reveal . . . the well-defined arm. Bravo, William. You got the vaccine AND flaunted a sexy muscle. Leave it to the Brits to get the job done with style (if not elegance).

  36. Curious says:

lol looks like william is lifting weights. his arm looks like he is pumping big time to keep fit ..

  37. Tessa says:

so in other words, he went on the pandemic train tour and had not gotten the vaccine. and went about with no mask on.

  38. jferber says:

Curious, no, to attract other women. There, I fixed that for you (lol).
