Hmm. It’s also not *entirely* outside the realm of possiblity that someone.. say.. a pap or someone working for them, put some stuff in her bag.
Ryder would have to be really fucking stupid to actually do this.

of course the poor girl is messed up. to be engaged to johnny depp, to have your name inked on his arm, only to have the wedding called off and the tatt obliterated? that would be traumatic!

I don’t feel sorry for her. I think she’s a petty thief and should get arrested and do jail time just like anyone else.

apparently the store clerk confirmed it. the rep said that she didnt know anything about the situation but would check with winona.
this lady needs someone else to do her shopping as it seems she is incapable of being trusted to go on her own! -
Am I petty for never wanting her career to recover, EVER? I have never liked Winona Ryder. She is a mediocre actor who only got a lot of parts in the 90s because she had the whole doe-eyed, innocent young girl act down to a science. Well, now she’s too old for all that, and not talented enough for anything more mature or substantial. She’d have to do something really incredible to change my mind…

Seriously? I thought she was brilliant in Heathers. That scene at the end after the school has blown up, when she has the cigarette in her mouth and she’s covered in ash, was priceless. That’s on my list of top 10 funniest movie scenes, ever. I like her best in comedy though - she does seem to lose her charm when she’s desperate to be taken seriously. She has great comedic timing and should do more of it.

God, why the hell does she do this? I loved her acting and I think she’s still one of the most beautiful actresses out there. Apparently, the crazy runs deep.

I thought she was a good actress and she’s really beautiful. I hope she makes a successful comeback. We’ve all got skeletons in our closets.

She’s not stupid. She has a compulsion. That’s the only reason wealthy people steal things they can afford. It doesn’t get her off the hook, though. After all homegirl knows her ass has a problem and she should stick to online shopping.

Just like anyone else? Like.. Lohan not going to jail for hijacking a car, driving under influence and bringing a lot of people in mortal danger? Like all the other celeb DUIs who get a slap on the wrist? Or a day-trip to jail?

That is one of the most embarrassing things to get caught doing. One time I had a bag of grapes in my hand at the grocery store and realized I left my wallet in the car so I walked out to go get it. Completely MINDLESS of the fact that I was still holding the grapes! Some off-duty cop saw me and brought me in to the Manager’s office to convict me while i was bawling! I was so embarrassed!!! No cops ever came, they just made me sit there like a criminal for 2 hours! I was mortified. Nobody believed me.
So needless to say, I’m a firm believer in honest mistakes. Like accidentally putting the remote in the fridge. . . . But when it’s Winona, you unfortunately have to wonder.

I’ve heard enough stories about this woman from various sources to believe that she’s quite honestly batshit and just lucky enough to have a strong enough image to the contrary.
When she got busted for stealing the first time, she had a purse full of prescription drugs.
Time will tell on this one.
