This is a kind of heartwarming story about two kooky famous people finding their way back together after a high profile breakup. According to Star Magazine, which has run insider stories on these two in the past, Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey are trying to make it work again after splitting up this April. They’ve since each been seen out with other people, but (allegedly) found their way back to each other and may be headed for a reconciliation.

She pulled the plug on their nearly five-year-relationship last April, as Star was first to reveal, because his bouts of depression made life with him very difficult at times. But in late August they met up in L.A. — and have been talking almost daily ever since, says a source.
“Jenny has told Jim that she missed him, and he didn’t want to end it in the first place,” an insider tells Star. “Jenny now thinks she may have rushed into breaking up with Jim. He can be hard to deal with, but he can also be so sweet and loving and fun.”
Two possible obstacles to an immediate reconciliation: Jim has been seen out with a stunning brunette, while 37-year-old Jenny — who has gushed about Jim’s deep bond with Evan, her autistic 8-year-old son from a previous marriage — has been dating former fitness model Jason Toohey since June. But the stars are realizing that nothing compares to what they had with each other, says the source. And their loved ones aren’t surprised.
“Jim’s daughter, Jane, had urged Jenny to take him back all along,” says the source. “Everyone in their circles agrees that Jim and Jenny belong together.”

I hope this is true. I really loved them together and they seemed like such a united team. There were rumors that after their breakup Jim gave Jenny a whopping $25 million to help ensure that she and her son, Evan, were set for life along with providing financing for Jenny to continue her autism advocacy work. Jenny might not really need the money. She has a talkshow coming out on Oprah’s new network, and reports have her earning $3-5 million a year with bonuses for high ratings. We’re about to see a lot more of her, or maybe not if Oprah’s new network ends up being a flop. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this is true and that these two are back together.

I really hope it’s true, they seemed like a great couple together. He really truly supported her, her causes and her son. If he can manage his depression better than they actually have a chance. He sounds like a great guy despite his chemical imbalance issues.

I hope they are back together too.. He has been there for her kid and stepped up beside her on all of her advocacy issues and she has been there for him and his daughter (and now granddaughter). They need to work it out and stick throught the bad.

Yay, I love them together…they were actually the only couple only Hollyworld that I got sad about when they broke up. lol They just fit together perfectly. I’d love to see them have a baby too, it would be so beautiful and just perfect, with their personality, so awesome!

If I remember correctly, she left him because he has mental problems and quit taking his medication. Stories were all over about his wacky antics afterwards. He seems to have settled down, gone back on the meds and is now going back to this relationship. If it works well, he should keep the relationship and stay on the meds. My guess is that her son is really glad to see him back.

I have to admit I got a sick feeling, thinking he was abandoned in a time of need, a bout with depression, after being so good…also, it would be nice if somebody tried to cheer him up the way he tried to cheer his mother up…
