Scarlett Johansson: it makes me happy when people come up & say I’m sexy

Scarlet Johansson has a new interview in In Touch, and like her chat with Hello! last week she is pleased to discuss her sexiness. The 23 year-old actress says it makes her day when random people come up to her on the street and call her sexy. She was asked specifically about it, so it’s not like she only likes to talk about what a sex kitten she is, but she definitely doesn’t mind discussing it.

How does it feel to be considered a sex symbol?
It’s really nice when people, especially ones I don’t even know, come up to tell me that I’m sexy. It makes me feel really nice and cheerful. I would imagine everyone would react this way.

Johansson is out of touch if she thinks everyone loves to hear strangers tell them they’re working it. A lot of her fellow celebrities get super annoyed when random people tell them they’re sexy, particularly those packs of middle aged guys with cameras that follow them around. In fact Charlize Theron just told off a cameraman at the Denver airport when he politely thanked her for supporting Barack Obama at the Democratic convention.

As for her upcoming nuptials to hottie Ryan Reynolds, Scarlett says they’re not planned yet but she’s likely to keep it “as private as possible.” I guess that means no big spread in People:

Are you going to have a big wedding?
I haven’t even thought about it yet, but I’m a private person, so I’m sure it will be as private as possible.

Are you a romantic?
Yes I am, absolutely.

What makes you a romantic?
I think there are many ways you can be romantic. There is, of course, the romance that you have with your partner, your lover. But remembering what people like and what they appreciate and wanting them to experience and enjoy is - that’s romantic to me.

Scarlett also repeated the same plans she shared with Hello! - that she does want to do another album and that her next step will be to direct films, if possible. She said she’s wanted to direct since she first started acting.

I really like this girl and think she’s got a great head on her shoulders. There’s the whole ill-advised singing career thing, but no one is perfect and she remains pretty grounded and realistic apart from that major oversight. Last week Woody Allen denied that buxom Scarlett was his muse, but called her “one of the great American actresses.” MSat noted that she has two emotions - subdued and more subdued. She’s good at playing that character, though, and she’s definitely sexy and not stuck up about it. That’s more than you can say for a lot of other famous actresses.

  1. My opinion about this woman is that she is not attractive, she has fucked up teeth, a pig nose, and a weird smile. She is a horrible actress (the other boleyn gilr) and stupid to boot. why would you take on a role with Natalie Portman? She was way out of her league
she is just not good. woody allen just wants to fuck her :!: 8O

  2. I think it’s funny when a celeb says he/she is a private person, yet he/she sits down for an interview and reveals way too much. And, she is NOT sexy!

  3. I think she’s beautiful & grounded. But I seriously doubt this wedding will happen.

  6. Am I the only one that actually thinks she seems masculine? I think it’s her voice, and something about her facial features.

  7. She is a very pretty young talented woman, quite mature for her age. She should wait at least until she is 25 to get married. She and Ryan make an adorable couple.

  8. i’m tired of hearing scarlett talk about her “sex” factor, or her “curves”. every interview is the same…the originality that made her cool one time now seems contrived.

  9. She was mouth-wateringly gorgeous in ‘The Black Dahlia’, but can’t act her way out of a paper bag. She just stood around looking sexy in that movie for the most part.

  10. I would have to say that she played the sexpot role damn well in Match Point. Even I wanted her. lol.

  11. Hear hear CB! I love Scarlett, even if she threatens to release another album.

She has been in the biz for a looong time & has managed to keep her head on her shoulders & stay out of the tabs. Personally, that says alot about her personality. I think she is beautiful & totally classic Hollywood.

PLUS she got to bang Josh Hartnett for a good long while & is now semi-permenantly banging Ryan; lucky bitch!

  12. She is such a bad actress that she’s distracting in most movies because of her looks. She can look good but then there’s this picture with that bright red lipstick matching her dress…and then she looks silly and is trying way too hard to be sexy. That dress is sort of fug too…

  13. There’s something ‘doughy’ looking about her that I can’t quite put my finger on…does she drink? I mean habitually. To be honest, I’ve never seen her act but I have no desire to either. Nothing about her moves me - I am entirely apathetic when it comes to this actress. I really should check out something she’s been in.

  14. It’s fine for your significant other to tell you you’re sexy, but the last thing we need is to base our happiness on random “people” telling us we’re sexy. All these new starlets have turned back the clock, engaging in self-objectification. Sounds like she needs to work on her self-esteem.
